In a nutshell

It’s crazy that i stopped watching magi a couple of years back because now that I’m reading again it’s just so good!

I want to shout out how joyful and emotionally vulnerable Aladdin and Alibaba are as protagonists. There are a lot strong supporting characters, and all of them could carry their own series (of course it's Sinbad that gets it lmao). But Ohtaka chose two precious cinnamon bun boys who are so full of life. It feels like a toss up for shounen archetypes to a (possibly angsty) loner and introvert or precious balls of fluff. Others certainly exist (I grew up with Dragonball and Goku is the fluffball himbo). I love characters who are open and lovable and simply the best.

This is to say nothing against Morgiana. I adore my girl so much. I think it's also important though that out of the three of them, she's the most emotionally reserved. She has plenty of reason to be. On the flipside, I love that the girl is allowed to be that. She's allowed to be reserved, unsure, and sometimes overwhelmed and doesn't have to carry the emotional weight for the boys as the girl on the team. She's still a good part of the heart of the three of them though lol; at least close to Alibaba. (Aladdin, ily, and his intuition around reading people is fantastic. However, he did grow up in isolation, and the tact is not always there haha.)

I know the Magi fandom is deader than Sinbad himself, but I’m going absolutely feral for some Magi RP right now.

I’m mostly interested in roleplaying as Ja’far. I don’t care what character you’d use, though! Whoever you’d like is fine- I’m even alright if it’s an OC.

I’m not exclusively looking for ship rps, but I am open to the idea. I don’t care for one pairing over another, so hmu if you’ve got something you want to try.

If you want to do an rp where each of us plays a few characters from the manga I’m open to that as well!

And YESSSS I watch the anime and I finished it since Netflix would take it out by October 31, so I didn't let time to get loose, but I'm rewatching the series once more (since I finished it to early) I wanted to feel inspiration in order to draw aladdin, Morgiana and ESPECIALLY MY PRINCESS REN KOGYOKU !! anyways at the same time, I'm reading the manga. SO FAR, I LOVE IT!!!

Continuing with the what if aladdin was found by abra au...

I'd imagine that when Aladdin was younger he looked a lot like Sheba, especially when he smiled. Lets just say that Abra didn't like this much, she probably reacted badly whenever he reminded her of Sheba so he learned keep a cold expression whenever around her.

Abra saw Aladdin as a chance to redem herself, to "save" Solomon, she basically doesn't see Aladdin, but instead another Solomon. Especially as he grew older and began to look more like him, she would give him clothes that looked like Solomon and basically project him on Aladdin.

I think that unlike Judar, who tbh was kinda crazy and such, Aladdin would be more cold, at least in front of Abra. I think he would still be kind, but his definition of good would be skewed.

Yeah that's all I have for now, I have a couple more ideas and I'm trying so see where I think Alibaba and Morgiana would be in this au. I'm thinking of Morgiana being one of Aladdin's kings but idk.

Aladdin: It's a fez, I wear a fez now. Fezzes are cool.

Morgiana: *snatches the fez, throws it in the air*

Alibaba: *sets it on fire*
