listen as the local jacoblover i do have to address the charlie thing at some point. especially now that i've seen it uninterrupted and at its worst. like, i am relieved he really was never planning on hitting him, OBVIOUSLY. but he still pushed him. and calling a child a mistake is one of the most fucked up things you can possibly do in this life let alone to charlie's face. i have not forgiven jacob summers for his crimes believe me. like you are a full adult man jesus christ. doghouse for one thousand years

#digi discusses #grounds for divorce i am not joking bitch. you are spending the night on the floor with athena #that being said #it is SUCH an interesting thing to include in the game. jacob really still thinks he is a kid. even if he wouldn't admit it #or isn't fully conscious of it. really important side to show of things in a late in life coming of age story.#he is a sweet guy mostly but the scenes with charlie force you to look at the fact that the lag in learning to live has HINDERED him badly.#violently even. lol #its relatable unfortunately. so many of my emotions are underdeveloped for my age and it has hurt people in my lowest moments.#i just find it fascinating that in a game where the timeline is so damaged people are seeing into the FUTURE #when that was not possible in the previous iteration. that jacob is only ever seen flashing back in time. he never once sees the future.#he is always going back to his childhood. middle school most commonly it seems. the maggie adler times.#although the thing where he says he is being buried alive by bugs could be. him seeing is own death or something. so who knows #as always: maybe i am forgetting stuff or over-analyzing #oxenfree II spoilers

It's been a bumpy ride going from a massive fandom with an overabundance of fanfics (TSS) to a relatively small-medium fandom with a decent amount of fics (Spooky Month) to an almost non existent fandom with barely any fanmade content at all (Oxenfree)

I'm really in the "if you want something, then you've got to do it yourself" state when it comes to prompts and fics for this fandom
