First of all thank you for the sacrifice going through this shit show…what was the worst in the show?

Honestly, I can't even tell what's worse. There's so many things wrong, from questionable writing to blatant disrepect of, like, everything. I have complained about only the "(French) Revolution" aspect thus far but oh boy, if the problems stopped there... It would be much quicker to tell the best parts, ngl.

I guess the worst in the show, outside of the fact that it exist, would be that they never said the word "baguette". Not once. Very disappointing, -1000/10, will start a revolution on their ass.

I'm sorry I really don't know how to seriously answer this question. It's just so bad, as it's own show AND as an """adaptation""". I hate almost every choice they made, and I curse my morbid curiosity for even wanting to watch this garbage in the first place. I wish it had never seen the light of day and no surface-level representation and #girboss-ing will change my mind. Fuck this show. Fuck it's AMERICAN POLITICS, fuck it's use of cultures foreign to the creators who are just using them for aesthetic and coolness points and "representation" points without any care nor respect put into it, fuck it's butchering of our beloved games and characters (i will never forgive what they did to Juste. Literally wanted to cry by the time he told what happened to Maxim and Lydie, AND NOT BECAUSE OF THE TRAGEDY OF HIS STORY), fuck it's underdeveloped gay representation that is not believable one bit but for some reason we are supposed to believe anyway, fuck it all. (oh also DEVIL FORGING MACHINE. A FUCKING- A FUCKING DEVIL FORGING MACHINE!!!)

And I really don't want to hate on the fans, but this show exist because the original one was so praised and loved by them. Both shows are badly written and giving really weak, and even straight-up offensive representation and the fans eat it all and allow it to continue. We have this garbage because people apparently think that if there's a non-white or non-straight character in the show it's automatically good. Because they think if they can relate even one bit to X character it means it's good (hot take: just because you can relate to a character or a situation means that character or situation nor the whole show is well written). That female characters can't be criticized because otherwise it's sexism. And if the character is black, it's racism. And apparently, the thought that "just because i enjoy this show doesn't mean it's good" never crossed the mind of most of them. And the more I think about it the more I get angry at them, too. They are so ignorant and easy to please it's sad. (I mean people are allowed to like the shows as much as they want, but let's not give them credit where they don't deserve it.)

But in seriousness, I think Juste and Maxim are the better realized versions of Nathan and Hugh, and I love me a good love/rivalry/friendship muddle.

I think the bad ending is the most interesting (kill me before I can hurt more people—Maxim and his guilt complex and Juste's simultaneous belief in his friend and unwillingness to kill one of the two people keeping him from being so lonely, etc, etc), and I'd love to one day write something about it.

Unfortunately, I think Lydie gets a little sidelined in the middle of all this, as she's either reduced to a romantic prize or an obstacle to the relationship, or a cheerleader with no arc of her own.

juste and maxim are for realsies together and a large part of that is their gay vibes and matching friendship bracelets and undying bond that survived through maxims mind being ripped in two and they look like the most logical pair that would have produced richter. For Realsies. but i think at least part of this unanimous agreement is probably because juste x lydie is really really really boring

If Juste Maxim and Lydie are Richter's parents i like to imagine Juste would try to dress up Richter all regal and elegant like he does meanwhile Maxim would encourage him to fuck up all the sleeves of his shirts lmaooo. Sorry for this super random ask, but that lovely drawing you made of Juste in casual wear made me think about it

And Richter in The Dracula X Chronicles is if he dressed more like how Juste would style him, while Richter in Rondo of Blood is more like how Maxim would :') (Lydie is a supportive momma who loves her boy and supports any kind of clothes he wants to wear <3) don't apologize for sending this, I love it!!

Honestly? I have no idea. Maybe not him specifically, but how hes like... one of the least well known Belmonts [of the main five]. This is changing maybe, but still.

Just the entire worst ending, from his conversation with Maxim to when hes looking over the cliff. Ouch.

On top of this, Dracula asks Richter "if he was truly here by choice" in the Dracula X Chronicles version of that dialogue. Considering how long of a family line Richter comes from, their entire lives just training to defeat Dracula and then not really have a purpose, it makes sense either of these lines would get him to trip up even if for a moment.

So for the two belmonts I mentioned and their accomplishments.

See, Simon? He killed Dracula twice and was the first Belmont to ever do so. And to date, the only canon one. (Julius might count, but the bad ending of Aria/Dawn isn't canon, and he's after Richter.) So what happened was Simon went to kill Drac.

He did it. He was also cursed in the last fight. What sort of curse is unknown but he was cursed and it was killing him. So he gathered Dracula's parts (rib, eye, heart, nail, ring) to destroy them and tried to bring him back but then Death went and completed the resurrection by bringing by the final part needed that was unknown, Dracula's fang. But Simon went and killed Dracula again. Pretty successful guy.

Juste is Simon's grandson. His best friend Maxim had left two years earlier on a training mission of sorts, and he returns but then their other best friend Lydie has gone missing having been kidnapped. They find this odd old castle in the middle of nowhere on no map and Maxim, while his memories foggy, is ceetain this is where Lydie was brought.

In short Maxim was the one to kidnap her while being possessed by the spirit of Dracula after Maxim collected all six dracula parts (dont ask me how they survived) in hopes to resurrect Dracula and kill him, to keep Juste from what Maxim sees to be a cursr of a fate. But see, he's not completely possessed when they first go to the castle and you as Juste kinda see this possession slowly happen, Juste all the unaware.

I didn't want to add to the flood of Castlevania-Silent Hill asks, but then I thought about Juste Belmont and home furnishing demons and had to send one last message.

I mean, real talk. If that Room 302 shit went down with Juste, he'd probably be in tears. Or, at least, after having to purge the place out with the Fire Book or something.

Although, now that I'm thinking about it…There's a real possibility that Juste probably could have had escort missions with Lydie in his game like those with Eileen in "The Room." (This is bringing back horrific memories of "Nanobreaker"'s escort sequences, too. Did not like.) It probably would have been a reviled mechanic, but considering what/who's going after her and her lack of training, Lydie probably would have needed a lot of help getting through the castle. It probably didn't help her that she was already on a kidnap carousel, though. But, at least it would have been more for her than just showing up for a couple of cutscenes.

I'll admit being a little huffy about Richter x Alucard shipping due to how little they interacted and how very, very much Maria was after Alucard's ass, but real talk. "Harmony of Dissonance" makes an exceedingly strong case for Juste x Maxim over Juste x Lydie for that very same reason. An unintended consequence? Perhaps. But, that's what happens when you don't give your ladies more to do in your game.

Random headcanon: When they were little, Juste was crying because he was so afraid of his future (and didn't want to become a vampire hunter). Julia and him were the ones to find and comfort him. <3 (it's the first of probably multiple events that made him wanna become stronger than him so he could take his burden away <3)
