10/9/2022
Dear Friend,
10/9/2022
My mom passed away on friday. I was holding her hand when it happened, and I cried for longer than I had in almost my entire life. I’ve cried a lot since then. The radiation wasn’t working, one of her lungs had already stopped working and the other was about to, regardless of how much treatment they gave her, she would’ve been living on a ventilator. My mom, throughout her entire life, was very explicit about the fact that she didn’t want to live being kept alive by life support, they took her off the ventilator, and she died less than a half hour later. It was nice outside that day, her favorite type of weather, it was a bit chilly but still warm, one of the first times fall weather has shown in my area. My father now has custody of us, he wants us to move to the state he lives in with him. The social worker said there is nothing we can do to stay here, I’m still trying to think of everything I can to stay where we are, moving would make all of this worse. I miss my mom so much, I don’t know how I’ll get through this but I’m trying my best.
Love always,
Connor

Why is the use of a clean bong so essential?
Many people have been using bongs as their primary way to smoke marijuana. However, smoking is not considered a perfect habit in most world cultures. But chain-smokers cannot avoid their habit of smoking. Most of the world considers smoking weed and marijuana terrible due to the threats it poses to the health of smokers. Still, the possible harm to health can be managed using clean utensils for smoking sessions. Taking things not seriously enough can be fatal to one's health because when we continue to use the same water pipes and bongs without cleaning for extended durations, this reduces the taste of smoke and increase the risks of injuries to our lungs and respiratory system. For this reason, adopting clean smoking habits is very important in maintaining the health of our respiratory system and lungs.
There are a lot of people who use bongs to smoke. If you are one of them, and you do not know what to use for cleaning the bong, it may surprise you that most of the items needed to clean bongs are readily available in every house. So if you are still deliberately avoiding the cleaning of bongs, then as a smoker, you are responsible for your health by putting your respiratory system in harm's way.
When a bong is not cleaned for more than a week, this creates resin collecting inside the glass. In addition, the presence of water and warm temperatures provide an excellent bed for bacteria, mold, and fungous growth. These elements start transferring to our lungs through smoke entering the respiratory system, due to which the person smoking with an uncleaned bong attracts several respiratory and lung diseases. And if multiple people use the same bong, then there is no doubt that one person's disease will spread to the whole group. This is why doctors are so serious regarding a group's use of the same bong. It must be avoided at all costs.
Another painful thing is that bong smokers don't even know at what point is the time when they have to clean their bongs. So, the answer is that usually, you should change your bong water after every smoking session. If you can't do that, you must change the next day. After 24 hours, mold and bacteria grow inside, and smoking further will be harmful. If you avoid changing water even now, then after a few days, the water starts turning greenish-dark and will get brown. This would be when continuing to smoke through the same bong will give a bitter taste of smoke that also contains many harmful ingredients for the health of your lungs.
Therefore, the general rule is that you must clean your bong thoroughly once every week. In addition, it is necessary to change the water at least once every 24 hours. And if you can afford it, you should change the water after each smoking session. Moreover, the bong should be dried so that no harmful organisms can get a good atmosphere for their growth. If you have enough money available, you can buy multiple bongs wholesale with the same or different designs, and start using a different bong for every smoking session. Once you have used a bong for a whole day, you will empty it of all the water and flush the inside with fresh water. Then, please leave it to dry and rest until the subsequent use. Then, your very next smoking session should be via a different bong. And the present bong will come in use only after the rest of the bongs will have come into your use.

Respiratory Care: Promoting Healthy Breathing
Tumblr media
Respiratory care encompasses a wide range of medical interventions aimed at promoting healthy breathing and optimizing lung function. From preventive measures to advanced treatments, respiratory care plays a crucial role in maintaining respiratory health and improving quality of life for individuals with respiratory conditions.
Preventive Education: One of the primary goals of respiratory care is to educate individuals about preventive measures to maintain healthy breathing. This includes providing information on avoiding exposure to respiratory irritants such as tobacco smoke, air pollution, and allergens, as well as promoting healthy lifestyle habits such as regular exercise and proper nutrition.
Early Detection and Screening: Respiratory care involves early detection and screening for respiratory conditions to identify potential problems before they progress. Screening tests such as pulmonary function tests, chest X-rays, and spirometry help healthcare providers assess lung function and detect respiratory abnormalities early, allowing for prompt intervention and treatment.
Smoking Cessation Programs: Smoking cessation is a key component of Respiratory Care, as smoking is a leading cause of respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, and emphysema. Respiratory care professionals offer smoking cessation programs and support to help individuals quit smoking and reduce their risk of developing respiratory conditions.
Asthma Management: Asthma is a chronic respiratory condition characterized by inflammation and narrowing of the airways, leading to wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath. Respiratory care focuses on managing asthma symptoms through a combination of medication, trigger avoidance, and self-management techniques such as proper inhaler use and asthma action plans.
COPD Management: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a progressive lung condition characterized by airflow limitation and difficulty breathing. Respiratory care plays a crucial role in managing COPD symptoms, optimizing lung function, and improving quality of life through medication, pulmonary rehabilitation, oxygen therapy, and smoking cessation programs.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation: Pulmonary rehabilitation is a comprehensive program designed to improve lung function, exercise tolerance, and quality of life for individuals with chronic respiratory conditions. Respiratory care professionals develop personalized pulmonary rehabilitation plans that include exercise training, education, nutritional counseling, and psychosocial support to help patients achieve their respiratory goals.
Oxygen Therapy: Oxygen therapy is a common treatment for individuals with respiratory conditions who have low blood oxygen levels. Respiratory care professionals assess patients' oxygen needs and prescribe supplemental oxygen therapy as needed to improve oxygenation, relieve symptoms, and enhance quality of life.
Home Respiratory Care: For individuals with chronic respiratory conditions, home respiratory care plays a crucial role in managing symptoms and maintaining respiratory health. Respiratory care professionals provide education, training, and support for using home respiratory equipment such as nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and positive airway pressure devices.
Patient Empowerment: Respiratory care empowers patients to take an active role in managing their respiratory health and making informed decisions about their treatment. By providing education, support, and resources, respiratory care enables individuals to understand their respiratory condition, adhere to treatment plans, and advocate for their respiratory needs.
In conclusion, respiratory care plays a vital role in promoting healthy breathing by providing preventive education, early detection and screening, smoking cessation programs, asthma and COPD management, pulmonary rehabilitation, oxygen therapy, home respiratory care, and patient empowerment. By addressing respiratory needs comprehensively and proactively, respiratory care helps individuals achieve optimal respiratory health and improve their overall quality of life.

A full body health checkup for elderly patients can identify a wide range of conditions, including:
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol)
Diabetes or prediabetes
Osteoporosis or osteopenia (bone density issues)
Cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary artery disease or arrhythmias
Respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Kidney dysfunction or urinary tract infections
Vision and hearing problems
Cognitive impairment or dementia
Arthritis or other joint disorders
Cancer or precancerous conditions (through screenings like mammography, colonoscopy, etc.)
Nutritional deficiencies
Thyroid disorders
Liver function abnormalities
Anemia or other blood disorders
Full body health checkups can begin to identify signs of elderly diseases early on, often before symptoms become apparent. The timing of detection depends on various factors including the individual's age, medical history, lifestyle factors, and the specific tests included in the checkup.
For example, blood tests can detect conditions like high cholesterol, diabetes, and kidney dysfunction before symptoms manifest. Bone density scans can identify osteoporosis or osteopenia in its early stages. Cancer screenings can detect tumors or precancerous lesions before they cause symptoms.
Regular health checkups, starting from middle age and continuing into old age, are crucial for early detection and prevention of age-related diseases. Early identification allows for prompt intervention and management, potentially leading to better outcomes and improved quality of life for elderly individuals.

Dear Friend,
Dear Friend,
My name is not actually Connor, however I'd really like to keep myself anonymous. I’m not quite sure how to start this letter off so I think I’m just going to start with why I’m writing them. My mom was recently diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, she was rushed back to a hospital a week or so ago and she is now basically on life support. She is sedated in a medically induced coma most of the time so that she won’t cough and she’s still been receiving treatment. Me and my twin sister went to visit her and she was awake while we were there, she could shake her head and nod and even give a thumbs up, however she could not move that much and she had a breathing tube down her throat so she couldn’t talk. The Doctors met with us and told us that she would probably not live two years, I should probably mention that both me and my sisters are currently sophomores in highschool and we are both 15, which means she probably will not live to see us graduate. Recently however, it seems as though she is getting somewhat better, she might live a couple years if we are very lucky. Our dad left when we were very young, five years old, so temporary custody was given to my mom’s closest friend. We go to stay there at night. Our father came down yesterday and is staying for a week. We are not happy about this, we don’t particularly like him and we’re uncomfortable around him. He lives in another state pretty far away, and if our mom does pass away before we turn 18 then he would most likely make us move to that state with him. Me and my sister do not like this. Our cousin, who’ve we called auntie since we were little, lives close to us, and my sister and I were thinking of asking her if our mom passes away if she would take custody of us until we turn 18, we hope she’ll say yes. My AP English teacher has been very understanding of this all and extends deadlines for us which I really appreciate. He's my favorite teacher. Another teacher at the school that I’ve known since I was in the sixth grade gave me a hug and that felt really nice. I think I should tell you why I’m writing these letters. I want people who are going through similar things to know they aren’t alone, but there is a more selfish reason. This summer I read The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, and I felt that writing to someone who I do not know, would help me process everything that is going on. I think I’m going to end this letter now.  Have a very great day.
Love always,
  Connor

Steps to Keep Healthy Lungs in Souring Pollution
In the wake of escalating pollution levels, our lungs bear the brunt of the environment's deterioration. Our breath, once a source of life, has now become a vessel carrying the burden of impurities. As we navigate this challenging era, safeguarding our respiratory health becomes an emotional imperative - a commitment to ourselves and our loved ones.
The plight of our lungs in the face of soaring pollution isn't just a concern; it's an emotional call to action. Every breath we take is a testament to the necessity of nurturing our respiratory health. Our lungs, the unsung heroes of our existence, deserve our utmost care and protection amidst environmental challenges.
Measures to take for your healthy lungs
Protect Yourself Outdoors
When stepping into the polluted outdoors, consider wearing masks designed to filter out harmful particles. Minimize outdoor activities during peak pollution hours to reduce exposure.
Cultivate Green Havens
Indoor plants act as natural air purifiers. Their presence not only enhances the aesthetics of your space but also improves air quality. Nurture green havens to support cleaner, fresher air within your home.
Keeping yourself hydrated
Adequate hydration plays a vital role in maintaining lung health. Drinking plenty of water helps thin mucus, making it easier for the lungs to expel impurities. Hydration acts as a shield, fortifying your respiratory system.
Exercise for Lung Vitality
Regular physical activity improves lung function. Engaging in exercises that enhance lung capacity, such as brisk walking or swimming, strengthens the respiratory muscles, promoting healthier breathing.
Nourish with Nutrient-rich Foods
A diet rich in antioxidants and nutrients, such as fruits and vegetables, aids in protecting your lungs from oxidative stress caused by pollution. Embrace a diet abundant in vitamins, promoting respiratory health.
Using Air Purifiers
The air we breathe significantly impacts our lung health. Ensure your living and working spaces are equipped with air purifiers or systems that filtrate pollutants. Creating sanctuaries of clean air contributes to protecting your lungs.
The Role of Avata air purifier in Protecting Lung Health
Amidst soaring pollution levels, Avata Air Purifier stands as an essential ally in preserving respiratory health by transforming your living and working spaces into sanctuaries of clean, breathable air.
Medical experts say that air pollution can worsen the functioning of the lungs. The changes have shown air pollution to contribute to other health conditions, such as bladder cancer, lung diseases, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), respiratory infections, and cardiovascular disease.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, Avata Air Purifier efficiently removes harmful particles and pollutants from the air. Its multi-stage sterilization process, including HEPA and activated carbon filters, is designed to capture and eliminate microscopic pollutants, allergens, and contaminants, thus significantly reducing the burden on your lungs caused by indoor air pollution and saving you from COPD, ASTHMA and Other Respiratory diseases.
By creating clean air spaces, Avata ensures that the air circulating within your home or workspace is free from harmful pollutants, fostering an environment conducive to better respiratory health.
Conclusion
Avata Air Purifier isn't just about providing a gadget; it's about extending a promise of healthier air and, by extension, healthier lungs.
