Ny Oh posted these pictures of Harry backstage in Budapest 2022 and Los Angeles 2022 via Instagram Story while wishing him a Happy Birthday! (2 February 2024)
To fans, Harry’s so dedicated;
Three shows postponed—he’s devastated.
He’s sick with the flu,
So please make sure, Lou,
Your boy rests and stays medicated.
LA 2’s wardrobe wasn’t the yoozh,
As Harry forwent Gazelle shoes;
For Vans, they were swapped
Cos Ye hadn’t been dropped
From Adidas for bigoted views.

It's @arcticmonkeys new album release day! And I don't know how it's possible, but I'm already obsessed with #TheCar. Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino, their last record, was my favorite album of 2018, and again, these Sheffield lads managed to blow me away. Late last night, I listened to the record over and over, letting its opaque lyrics and quiet, string-orchestrated sounds wash over me and somehow it all just clicked. It's a revelation of a record. "One long goodbye," as Alex Turner explained, a long goodbye to a relationship, an identity, a sense of self. Crudely put, The Car is a breakup album, a drawn-out realization that something has died just before the opening notes of the record play. And Alex is hoping to draw it out even further; he wants one last hurrah, one big performance, he wants a big mirrorball to see him out before he truly walks away and drives off in his own car to never return. There's quite clearly one story being told over the album with big revelations coming in "Mirrorball," "Ain't Quite," "Body Paint," "Mr. Schwartz," and of course, "Perfect Sense" - perhaps the best song on the record. I can't wait to keep digging into this, but it is so satisfying to have been a fan of this band for 17 (!!) years and still find myself shook by their artistry. Congrats, Sheffield lads! Here's some extra shots I never posted from Primavera Sound LA last month 💕
