A quick look at what The Loomis Method by Andrew Loomis can do for your art and how it looks in action (: For more posts like this, follow me on Pinterest!
My first ever simple and quite tiny pencil drawing done with the Loomis method 😁 How do you fund it, guys? I wonder... Did I catch his likeness with it?
Getting back into drawing. I used to be way better! I never actually learned to utilize the Loomis and Reilly methods until recently and I found the Loomis method to be easier to navigate.
Also I finally finished unpacking from moving a few months back AND found these OOT boss stickers and sage medallions I bought on Etsy.
One thing that makes me laugh, thinking back to my youth, is that I didn't want to draw guide lines because I didn't want my drawings to have "stupid lines all over the Z Fighter's faces." I'm not sure why young me didn't consider that erasers...exist.
some celestia face studies bc i suck at faces and i decided sitting down and actually using the loomis method might work better than my trademarked “i hate them so i’ll draw them last and rush them” method
I never really wanted to draw this person because I thought I could not capture her correctly. And I think I was right… but still learning. And I’m still learning the process and putting things together.
El método loomis me resulta el más simple a la hora de construir el rostro. Hice también algunos estudios para comprender su volumen y estructura y por último incluí luces y sombras para terminar de solidificar las ideas
Trying to learn the Loomis method of drawing faces and heads using https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools/face-expression-practice# . These are my digital sketchbook pages from August so far for people poses and proportions. I have a physical sketchbook for pose drawing.
Excuse the horror expressions lol, I've literally only worked on Loomis proportions and eyes and I'm eyeballing everything else for now
It's so cringe / funny looking back at these and remembering that I felt proud of them?! Like I really thought I was ready for the next lesson xD
Goshhh, I got humbled SO fast.
