Q: Who is looking forward to the weekend? I am and I'm hoping it goes smoother than my last 24 hours have. I've had so many small but really annoying/ inconvenient things go wrong 😩 It got to the point where I just gave up on the day and read some fluffy romances because my brain needed a break. (It's also why I didn't post last night. I just couldn't find the motivation). Q: What strategies do you use to help stick to your buying ban? I'm trying something new this year. My main reading goal is to get through more physical books from the TBR pile of books I already own so I came out with a reward system that also restricts the number of new books I buy. I have a blog post and tik tok video that goes into more detail about how this is supposed to work, but essentially when I finish a book I get a certain amount of money added to a book buying fund. When I buy a new book, I have to subtract the cost from that fund.
