I'm actually pretty proud of how this turned out (except for the fact I forGOT WUKONG'S CIRCLET. Whatever, let's just say he's hiding it behind glamour.) I knew I wanted to draw Ao Lie for this but I've also been wanting to draw Wukong and him together because I think Wukong's and Mei's dynamic is fun so I was curious about Wukong and Ao Lie (this train of thought unlocked a new ship for me.) Anyway, I was thinking about Wukong saying, "Keep up, dragon pony girl," to Mei in S3 when they're looking for the ring in Lantern City and thought it would be funny if he had said that to Ao Lie in the past.

The context for this image is that Wukong and Ao Lie were racing. Ao Lie goes into dragon form and Wukong's like, "bet" and matches the transformation and eventually tires him out. If y'all like the scenario enough maybe I'll write a drabble about it or something.

Decided to just do the straightforward Mk with a baby monkey! Which the monkey may or may not be a new oc in the works 😌

Sorry I'm posting this so late in the day, I had trouble figuring out what I was going to draw.

My first thought was some domestic freenoodles (I briefly mused over some spicynoodles but eventually decided against it.) Finally, I settled on just drawing Tang but then I realized... I don't know how to draw. I considered writing something but knowing me, I wouldn't be able to write anything I was happy with in a single day. So I decided something was better than nothing and was just going to draw a bowl of noodles, and then, talking to my girlfriend, I got struck with the inspiration I needed to add more and now we found our way back to my original idea of freenoodles!
