what kind of music do YOU listen to

I’ve kind of realized that i’m mildly picky about what I listen to? Either that or it’s just bc I am extremely dependent on what kind of vibes I’m in the mood for + if whatever song fits said vibe

According to spotify my top genre was broadway, which I don’t completely agree with bc I have a friend who would 100% say ‘no you loser you aren’t that into broadway’ but also she’s just into show tunes way more than anything else. Ig it’s a vibes thing more than an actual ‘this has been shown on broadway’

Though I do love musicals, i’m kind of basic since I’ve only ‘watched’ hamilton (disney+ version when it was turned into a movie). But i’ve listened to some of the more popular songs from Dear Evan Hanson, Heathers, Be More Chill, Legally Blonde, and others that are just popular songs. A few years ago I watched a TON of animatics so I think that’s kind of where it came from.

Another thing that’s not as vibe specific is orchestra/band stuff. I love love LOVE when a live orchestra and/or wind ensemble gets incorporated into music. Cody Fry was my top artist this year, and basically all his songs have an orchestra in it minus his older albums and ITS SO COOL. I play clarinet (and bass clarinet) so that’s where that appreciation comes from. I also just like, wind ensemble music. Gustav Holst (second suite in f major) is a piece I played last year and I absolute fell in love with it. Samuel Hazo is also a super good composer and he has a gigantic roster. I played two pieces of his last year, ‘Arabesque’ and ‘Solas Annes (Yesterday’s Joy)’ Going back to Holst I can 100% appreciate his planets suite.

For that kind of music though, it helps if i’ve played the piece cause then I’m like ‘hehe I know this and THIS SPOT WAS SUPER HARD ARGHHHH’ but music is super fun.

OH ALSO I’m a choir kid (basically just a fine arts kid in general) so i’ve listened to some choral pieces too just cause I like how they were performed and I like how they sound. I’m a band kid first and foremost though.

Also I listen to a lot of game soundtracks, bc instrumentals are just peak, and they vibe pretty easy since I mostly listen to soundtracks that i’ve played before. (Minecraft, Omori, Stardew Valley, Breath of the Wild, Undertale, Deltarune, etc)

OKAY I’VE EXPLAINED MY VIBES I’ll give you some stats tehe

1. Cody Fry (this man has such an array of songs, he goes from funk to pop to overture-esque songs and he’s just kinda epic)

2. Omori (video game that has my entire heart, the story is so AHXISJJXD and the music is awesome. Nowadays I listen more to the breakcore side of the soundtrack but all of it is peak)

THE WOLF359 CAST IS INCREDIBLY TALENTED AND I LOVE THIS! (or my reaction to the Wolf359 Live Show)

"Another Wolf359 reaction already? But Bods, I thought you said you were busy?" Yes indeed I am my friends, if I wasn't busy, I would have finished the podcast by now. In my younger days, I did all of ATLA in a weekend. Sadly at this age, I can't be doing that kind of bingeing. I'm also tired, because I've been studying all day and figured why not take a little break and watch the Wolf359 Live Show?

I firstly wanted to give a shoutout to @commsroom for not only telling me about when to watch the live show (after episode 26), but also telling me that it is on youtube where you can watch it live so thank you so much!

I love how he crosses over to whisper to Hera, I can just see Doug's character whispering into her intercom or in the general direction of the computer even though it doesn't make a difference to her.

I also like Hera's character position on stage away from the others, it's kind of symbolic.

"Team Eiffel's on the case" I have literally used the phrase "Detective Bods is on the case" multiple times on this blog, why do I relate so strongly to every ADHD character I come across sasjdkfjsl;kdfj;slk. Not the talking to himself too... NOT THEM LOOKING AT HIM IN THE BACKGROUND...oh no...

The way Cutters reenters... it's so dramatic I love it.

Oh so Cutter worships at the alter of the Pryce and Carter manual too. Maybe he forced them to write the book and killed them. Maybe he wrote it under two pen names to make it sound more legit. Either way I can't imagine him memorizing anyone's book but his own.

CUTTER'S ASKING ABOUT HER FAMILY? oh he's threatening her. IS HE THREATENING HER FAMILY?

They are very low on toothpaste.

"I want to help in every way I can, but I can only do that if I know what's going on" Cutter I hope you die. Painfully. Very slowly and very painfully, and if it doesn't happen in the show, I'll write it into a fic.

Oh he's speaking to Hera now because of what she said... that's interesting. Cutter didn't think of Hera as a person or member of the crew before he realized that Minkowski did.

Doug is me cramming for my exams. DOUG IF ITS NOT A VIDEO CALL YOU CAN WRITE STUFF DOWN.

"Manufacturing errors." I hope that doesn't mean anything bad for those robots, otherwise that has to be sad for Hera to hear.

Okay...I love how Hera and some of the other actors look straight at the audience like they can't see Cutter, but Cutter looks directly at them as if he can see them. It adds so much to the creep factor.

Oh my gosh that manual again. Why is he obsessed with it?

"You'd be shocked at how much I know about the Hephaestus" Cutter knows everything.

AND DO NOT CALL HERA PATHETIC.

Oh my gosh Hera talked back to him for a second. I think she's the only one who ever does thus far, which is odd considering all her code that stops her from doing that.

"A real person" THAT CROSSES A LINE CUTTER.

"I don't know if someone like you can understand this. We're trying to change everyone's lives" CUTTER SHUT UP. YOU ARE THE ONE WITHOUT A SOUL YOU HAVE NO ROOM TO TALK.

Hera's memory files? Personality setting? oh never mind...this is awful that he can just go in like that. Maybe that's why he programmed her with the ability and personality that would talk back to him. So that he can get the truth from someone he can easily destroy.

"The people who made you decided you were a mistake, and you were so desperate to rise above who- what you are" Who made Hera? Are they important? Or did Cutter just scrape her up from a tech company that didn't want her? And Cutter "correcting" himself on that line I hope he's blown into space.

"Don't you dare" wow Hera's still talking back. "You have no idea." DID SHE JUST CONFESS THAT HILBERT IS STILL ALIVE. Oh Hera...

Doug looks terrified. Me too buddy.

The way he puts his hand on Doug's shoulder as if they are in the room together, like he has a way to reach them even if they can't get back to earth, I love the choices the actor's are making.

He knows that Doug doesn't know Pryce and Carter. He's been listening in on him. For sure. Bro. Not everyone has read your manifesto that you by this point probably ghost wrote under two fake names and declared the best book of all time. It's like when a professor uses their own text book, I've heard this song and dance before.

Cutter. Doug should have memorized it but YOU HIRED HIM. He is CLEARLY in no way qualified for this line of work. YOU know that. YOU'RE using him as a science experiment. If I knew my professor was using me for lab science that could kill me at any second, do you think I'd waste time studying for their pop quiz on silly tips?

Yeah the book is unusually dark. Pryce and Carter have clearly been through some stuff, or it's Cutter being ominous with his ghost written book. At this point, he either wrote it under fake names, or he's a Pryce and Carter fanboy. (Is it spelled Pryce or Price, I just realized I have no idea. I've heard of the last name Pryce, so I'd assume that's how it's spelled?).

"Did I mention that I'm sick"

Well that was amazing. I loved the way the cast used the space to make the characters come alive, the way they moved, the choices they made, it all fit really well. I really enjoyed watching this. It brought me back to when I used to do high school theater. I kinda of miss it. Hilbert, Cutter, and Doug are exactly the kind of overdramatic and unhinged roles I always loved playing (that is if I was lucky enough to have a director who went for gender bent casting, we as a society really need more comedic relief and unhinged women roles with crazy accents). Although I did once win a medal at state in middle school for a 10 minute monologue that was very much in the tone of Minkowski. I was playing a babysitter.

Instead, you bonded over your hatred for a lot of things, and Susan insists on you always being the one to help her in the emporium.

Desire of the Endless

Desire looked forward to visiting you because they will find you doing adorable things and they would watch you for a moment before you could notice.

Today was another free day for you so you decided you wanted to clean the house a bit. However, in order to do that you would need to listen to some kind of music to get in your groove.

So you connected your phone to Bluetooth and turned up the stero.

You cleaned around the house listening to nice spainsh music and boy was you moving your body to go with it.

Desire just so happen to pop in at that moment and grins watching you

They went closer to you and placed their hands on your hip.

The only reason you didn't went on attack mode was because you knew you locked the doors and only Desire literally can get in.

So you both sway to the beat of the music before desire pushed you off gently before spinning you back into their chest humming softly.

You giggle as you both danced the night away.

Another moment desire loved was walking in on you shirtless and wearing a simple baggy sweats playing games it was cute to see you pouting when you lost or doing evil giggles while you won.

They would watch for a few more minutes before laying beside you to which you kissed them

"Care to bask in my winning glow love" Desire chuckles "yes as the matter of fact i do~"

You giggle and started to play games once more enjoying the fact that Desire was watching you and soon enough you would feel them shift and lay half their upper body on you.

"Comfortable love?" You asked while playing your favorite game smiling when they kissed your shoulder them the top of your head.

"Of course i am"

Dr. Ian Wright

Ian Can come home and sometimes they can catch you doing two things both of which they found adorable.

The first is you playing video games. They would come home from work to find you laying on your bed or on the large sofa shirtless in baggy sweats and playing your favorite video game.

They would watch for a moment before walking up from behind and covering your eyes to which you fell off a cliff they laughed while you pouted saying hey.

"No fair love how do you always come home when im close to beating your score." You said glaring playfully.

"Because love i don't want you passing me and besides you know i enjoy watching you" they said while shedding their clothes and changing into a simple crop top tank top and short shorts you glare at them more.

"Oh now your trying to distract me" you said while trying hard not to stare. Ian laughed "oh certainly not but if you want to stare you can" they wink and you blush lightly. "Want to play best of three?" Ian nods and grabs the remote but not before moving to sit in between your legs resting their back on your chest. Or sometimes vice versa.

Amother time they enjoy is coming home to you cleaning the house since you would be shaking your booty and hips to the rhythm of the spanish music playing or even some random tune you love.

Ian would watch before they noticed you grin and wave at them still dusting and dancing. Ian came close to kiss you softly then suddenly dips you to kiss you again pulling you up and smirking.

"mi amor hace una hermosa bailarina" you blush amd responded "so do you dear" dancing along with them until you both was spent on the couch in a clean home and calm music playing in the background.

Gren - Cowboy Bebop

Gren was walking towards their door when they heard loud Spanish music playing and they smiled knowing what was going on.

They entered your little apartment watching and hearing you sing in spanish was dusting the house. They would chuckle walking over to you and twirling you around to face them.

You smile brightly at them giving a slightly out of breath "hi baby" to which they reply with a gentle kiss and placed their hands on your hips moving to the beat of the music with you singing along with you softly. Something you loved.

Soon you both would clean together laughing and enjoying each others company.

Another day was was Gren had a day off and decided to go get some snacks for you and themself to have when they picked out a show to watch.

Of course coming back Gren would spot you shirtless with baggy sweat pants and playing games. Your favorite one.

Gren sat beside them and giggles "looks like i could watch you instead love you seem to make a fool of yourself in this."

You pout cutely "hey i think i play better then you Gren" they simply shrug "i doubt that"

You hand them the control to which after learning the buttons they gave it a go. You was shocked by how good they was and pouted cutely once more "h-how"

"Well Spike and his friends has this game that has these same kind of demographics so its easy to pick up on what to do. Naturally im good at watching."

You tackled them which made them lose. They laughed while trying to get away.

All you heard from a distance was the sound of your and Gren's laughter.

Really depends on who you ask. People upon meeting me for the first time tend to say I give off a serious, mature, and responsible vibe whereas those who have known me longer say that I am quirky, passionate, but assertive. I have multiple faces that I put on: one for work/professional settings, one around family, one for friends (and even so that can be split into multiple categories depending on how close I am with you). So multi-faceted is a good term to describe me, as I ‘m always adapting and changing to meet my surroundings. That also means not alot of people tend to know me, but I’m ok with that as I like distance and privacy in my personal life.

Hobbies:

Video games—otomes, gacha games, visual novels, JRPGS, and life simulators like Animal Crossing are my jam, tabletop games, musical theater, cosplay, ice skating, horseback riding, reading (historical fiction, fantasy, or gothic horror especially), listening to J-rock or alternative music.

Likes:

Spending money on gacha games, Italian food, traveling, ancient mythology and medieval history, horses, scrolling social media

Dislikes:

A lot of food as I’m a picky eater—in particular, mushrooms, bananas, seafood, and olives are big on my no list.

Cold or rainy weather. I have low cold tolerance.

***I’m also absolutely touch repulsed, so I’d like someone who isn’t too handsy or openly affectionate.

Preferences:

Someone introverted works best with me, although extroverts (to a degree) are ok too—what’s important is that they respect my need for personal space and alone time.

I don’t care about height too much.

Ideally, they can share some of my hobbies or are open to learning. They can’t be too pushy or demanding, as I tend to do things at my own pace. They may have to take the reins and be the more ‘mature’ one in the relationship at times or be able to scold or guide me in the right direction if needed.

for starters, he may not have very much money, but he loves to spoil you with gifts!

and he absolutely adores and treasures anything you get him!

Ruggie is a very respectful boi too and would absolutely only give affection that you've stated that you're comfortable with

he also has a great memory (and is kinda petty himself) so he'll totally help you remember things when you need

he loves to spend time with you while you're playing games too and he likes to listen to what you tell him about history or your games

there are times when the both of you get to act childish together, but if need be, Ruggie can be the mature one

just don't expect it to be all the time and he won't expect the same from you

generally with Ruggie, he has your back with however you're feeling that day and adjusts accordingly

It’s a late flight and he’s whiny and complaining about how he’s tired of airport food

He’s finally back to you for a little while until he has to go for another competition (but this time he’s bringing you with him ok <3)

It’s the day after valentine’s day and he insists he has to do something with you right now because he missed the day (the travesty!)

So. you drive to some fast food joint down the road a bit

And he’s ecstatic and very animatedly talking to the barely-above-teenage kid at the register who is just. Very slowly putting your order in (it’s late, they have no energy and this dumbass just walked in)

But victor is happy to be back to you and nothing will stop him from telling everyone so

He finally relaxes when he gets his milkshake and you both get your food, so he begins to tell you all about his performance and how he did (you already know because you watched it, but let him tell you anyway)

For the sake of not inconveniencing anyone we’re saying this is a 24hr open place

So he spends a while talking about how his competition went and all the lovely people & fans he met while he was out

And he makes this little shocked face and is like. Oh dear! He hasn’t asked about your time at home.

Poor kid at the register

Anyway you guys go home after what feels like forever and he drives because you're sleepy

Keeps his hand in yours the entire time while hes driving and very carefully brings you up to bed

I think most of the songs are pretty in line with who I am and my music taste honestly

Brutus by The Buttress: This song is so good and its message is so clearly captured throughout the lyrics. Very much more of a lyrical piece as opposed to music or style but those are beautiful as well.

The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie by Colter Wall: It's been on my playlist for a while. It's a good song and although I probably wouldn't listen to it all the time, it's a great song and the beat of the guitar and everything is wonderful.

Canyonland by Kaia Kater: I love this song so much. It has such a nice vibe to it and I found it a while ago so it's kind of been on my playlist forever.

Oh Ms Believer by Twenty One Pilots: Once again, has been on my playlist forever. Reminds me of reading fanfictions from fandoms I was in like five years ago or so. A great song honestly and love the beat.

Humpty by Mitski: Honestly, it's not my favorite Mitski song but it's a good one and I like it.

Burn The House Down by AJR: I always forget how this one goes, but I always like it when I listen to it.

Walk This Way (feat Aerosmith) by Run--DMC, Aerosmith: I have to be honest and say I put this on a playlist for a story I was writing after I heard it on the radio, but I like it enough to keep it.

Sleeping on the Blacktop by Colter Wall: One of my favorite Colter Wall songs. It just has such a nice vibe to it and you can picture the story he's telling through it.

Out of My League by Fitz and The Tantrums: This has been here forever. It was one of my favorites back in my Roblox days and I always expect to hear, "Bangarang." at the end because of the lyric video I listened to.

Pon de Replay by Rihanna: I remember hearing this in my friend's car and needing to have it on my playlist immediately. I love it, it's such a bop.

favourite time of year: SUMMER. i love summer!! spring is second best, but still very very good 😌

do you collect anything: i used to collect rocks and seashells!! i still have a few in a box somewhere 😄
