To put Lily's media illiteracy on blast I wanna break this down for everybody.
In order.
The sole positive- saying Marcille is a good character, while true, Lacks any qualifications that contextualize in what way. Notably in that three of the negatives of the show revolve solely around her. Which does contextualize that Lily's love of the character is remarkably shallow, or her hatred of the rest of the show remarkably petty.
The sole neutral- Episodic by itself is, yes, very neutral. Without any qualifications this is about as helpful as saying it's animated. You'd have to know that Lily hates episodic shows to know how this factors into the grade.
The many negatives-
Digimon level pacing is such a specifically vague statement. To understand what she means, know her point of reference is a 25 year old show that has an overall different tone, setting, age range, and story to Dungeon eats.so we're on some big brained or moon brained shit here.
The riff on the shows tone is weird because the show is a dark comedy. The intended experience is the huge contrast of it all. Like what?
The premise of the show is looking at the dungeon in terms of a food chain. The only way there would be a joke about the art quality of the food is if the rest of the show was rendered in Crayon scibbles.
Marcille is also an archetype at first. They all are. She is the snooty elf. They all gain more depth later, but this is not a debate here. The reason she was the butt of all the big jokes is complaining about a necessity of their trip for it's unorthodox nature despite explicitly signing up for it.
Death having consequences would basically destroy the tone and humor. Making the multi-day journey to save falin from permadeath into a bog standard revenge story.
Hey, this series has two sole jokes! Sarcasm aside it is a reductive view. Marrcile is at the butt of the bigger jokes because it's thematically appropriate. She is the most resistant to the reality of their situation. Not to mention that if the marrcile was the sole man in a group of women, the jokes would hit all the same. Not to mention that woe is evenly spread after the first couple episodes, I'd know I watched the whole show.
Lastly "elf torture cliche"? When has that been enough of a thing to be a cliche? I looked it's not even really a trope.
The, albeit very abridged, critique just screams the following, "I did not want to like this show, I have decided it was a waste of time before I even fired up Netflix." Right at dismissing Marcille's suffering as little more than torture of the female lead just because I had known that there wasn't even an attempt at any kind of fair play. It boils down to the show being hardly watchable because it isn't a totally different show, which as an opinion is actually super fuckin valid! Lily, by giving it a grade, claims an authority over it. An authority that equates to flunking a physics major over not being fond of their favorite color.

I’m so sorry if this is something you’ve covered already/that’s been talked about but I’ve just been recently finding out about all the horrible things lily orchard has done and I just saw your post saying that she’ll never be a poc, I thought she was native, was she lying about that? I used to watch her videos and she would bring it up often to make a point and If that was just a blatant lie that is so gross (though not the grossest thing she’s done ofc)
Yeah she’s lied about it the whole time. Courtney has spoken out about how they were never raised native nor had any connection to the heritage. There’s a lot more but I’d suggest going to the blog @pleasetiemyshoelaces for further explanation.

Okay so even if hypothetical you did have a personal issue with Courtney, or any of us really, why does that automatically make you want to run back to Lily? You could just leave this entire situation. Just because you don't like one or more of us doesn't mean you go running right back to a goddamn abusive predator.
That says way more about you than it does about us. It says you're willing to openly support an actively dangerous person just so you can feel "right" about something. You don't have to like any of us. That's totally fine. What's not fine is choosing to align yourself WITH A PREDATOR just because you don't like the same people they don't like.

Things that don't make sense in poke-madhouse part 1?
So... I haven't posted on this site in a hot minute. (college be damned) So I'm making up for that now. I might make post like these where I rant and rave about poke-madhouse and how bullshit the plot points are. As well as dunking on Lily. So if you're interested in this please let me know.
Anyways one thing of that I've noticed that has always kinda aggravated me about poke-madhouse; is that Lily claims that the gardevoir line is an endangered pokemon and the rarest. When other pokemon exist and fit the bill better than gardevior ever could. Pokemon such as Deino and Lapras.
Lapras because back in the red and blue entries it makes note of how they was an endangered species. And even in sun and moon it mentions on how it was near extinction, but because of protective regulations there's been an overpopulation.
And Deino because the thing's blind and it's dex entries makes note on how it'll ram and bit into anything. Causing it to have multiple wounds and bruises. You could easily spin that into Deino's falling off cliffs, eating poisonous berries, or just dying because it encountered a strong pokemon.
But no the most endangered species in pokemon was the psychic type that can sense a person's intentions, could teleport, and also doesn't have any disabilities to hinder it's survival.

You do realize you were leading Lily on right? How is it her fault you tried to spin it around and throw the grooming card? You are a grown adult free to make your own choices. Now this, I was contemplating including this but..How fucking dare you call Astrid raping me then lying about it “drama”? Do you have any idea what the fuck she did to me? What she KNEW she was doing? I was a 13 year old boy, she was old enough to be my babysitter-she WAS mine at some point. She was 17 and did the worst possible thing she could think of. All for the sake of her own sexual gratification. I don’t care if they’re trans or not: I will never let her live on from it when she is so willing to lie about what happened.
It isn’t a matter of transphobia. It’s her being a rapist.
It was her choice to do that to me. Nobody held a gun to her head and forced her. She chose that. In the same way Lily has chosen to do so many things.
Neither of them are owed forgiveness or understanding on the basis of being trans women. Because frankly as a trans man I don’t give two shits. They still did what they did. You can try to lie about it just like they’re doing all you’d like;

What did you mean by “her list” in your Lily-being-a-homeroom teacher reblog? . . . . . . . .She didn’t ACTUALLY make a fucking list of things that she would teach to children if she was a teacher did she?? The same woman who runs a failing Youtube channel, lies about being indigenous, and molested her own fucking sister DIDN’T ACTUALLY MAKE A FUCKING LIST OF THINGS SHE’D TRY TO FUCKING TEACH CHILDREN IF SHE WAS ALLOWED TO BE FUCKING NEAR THEM DID SHE???!!!!!!!
Yes and no. She made a list of 100 writing tips, which, when I "graded" them it broke down very cleanly into grades. To preface the coming statements, she has a very narrow scope of media consumption and her current body of work is primarily of so-so fanfiction at absolute best, therefore i have rated her tips in relation to the only group she has any authority to speak to, first time writers and actual children. Unfortunately, She likes to speak as an authority even though she has none, and most of the tips fall outside her purview. As the running total sits, she can't be assed to take her own advice damn near a third of the time, resulting in an American D+ grade, the final grade in tips that are actionable by totally new writers and actually useful sits at a 8%...
So, while not a list for teaching children, a list for teaching she made. It was taken down in only a day due to the biblical amount of backlash. I will always do my part in making sure nobody forgets what she did, as I will stand firmly beside the objective fact that none of her work is good enough to turn a blind eye to all of the terrible things she has done.
You can find the Google docs where I separated it into good, bad, and irrelevant in these coming links, and I will also include a video from the fine folk at We Are Not Alive who are a far greater authority than myself absolutely ripping her to shreds.

Like if Lily was just trash talking while playing Pokémon with Mikaela that would be fine trash talking is fine and natural when playing competitive games … like I recently played mario party with my cousin and when he screwed me other I jokingly said I was going to kill him … however what makes my example and the Lily clip different is that I wasn’t actually mad at my cousin and he knew I was joking (hell he made similar comments to me when I screwed him other) and my anger towards him only applied in the game and I’d stop being mad at him when we stopped playing all it was was just me and him being mutually competitive … Lily was genuinely mad at Mikaela, wasn’t joking and just stopped playing altogether and it wasn’t mutual at all … Mikeala wasn’t responding by trash talking or anything like that … she just apologised like the battered wife she is
Mikayla seems like she is constantly walking on egg shells when she's talking to Lily. She basically has to because literally anything can piss off Lily. Mikayla wouldn't be able to playfully trash talk Lily, because she would get actually pissed off. Mikayla always agrees with Lily on everything, to the point where it seems like she is just mirroring her. Everytime Lily snaps at her, Mikayla just immediately apologizes. In the Pokemon stream, Mikayla was clearly just trying to have fun with her wife. Then Lily got mad for no reason and Mikayla had to apologize. And comparatively Lily seems to rarely, if ever, apologize to Mikayla for snapping at her.
Then both of them get mad when people think that Mikayla is being abused. But like, when Lily is always getting pissed off for stupid reasons and Mikayla is always apologizing when she shouldn't have to, then what do they expect people to think????
