ohmygod mari's back (noooo)

after like a month or two on hiatus, i'm back w posting low quality content about my self inserts !!

ik this post is messy asf it's currently 1am as of typing this so don't expect much 💀😭

here's the reveal of my stupid little pokemon yume that i made for the sake of grusha and rika :D

their hairstyle changes every buisness day or so

Time for a useless infodump on them !!

Name: Maki

Age: Unknown

Gender: Unknown

Hometown: Viridian City

Region: Paldea (originally Kanto)

Relatives: Silver (Step Brother), Giovanni (Step Father), Unknown Mother (Most if not all forms of contact have been severed between them and their family)

Ace Pokemon: Ceruledge (I'd say Buneary but it's just there for emotional support)

Fun facts??:

-They're a Hex Maniac (despite specialising in poison types)

-Maki's surname means flower in chinese

-They love mushrooms (which i guess started their love for poison type pokemon)

-Despite having Ceruledge as their ace pokemon, Maki adores their Buneary and Scorbunny

-Their real name is Lilac. They changed it so that no one would recognise them, especially their family members

Very important and very confusing lore:

Due to being poorly treated and being neglected by their parents, Maki fled their home in hopes of starting a new life where they would be free from all the cruelty they've faced.

They tried starting a new life in Alola but goddamn the heat and the summer there was WAY too unbearable for them so they moved to Paldea cuz of the cooler weather there (let's be real, being in the cold is way better than being in the heat)

After finally finding a place to stay in Montenevera, Maki struggled to find a job due to their lack in certain skills but it wasn't long before they'd discover their talent as a musician and even collaborated with Ryme every so often. They saw Ryme as some sort of parent figure that they lacked in their life.

Maki was invited as a co-star to perform with Ryme in anevent where they met the other Gym Leaders as well as two other individuals who were part of the Elite Four. Two of them had developed some kind of attraction towards them and even tried to court them (ahem, ahem, GRUSHA, *cough* *cough*, RIKA).

As a side job, Maki participates in Double Battles with Ryme (they don't get paid to do that so they put minimum effort into said battles so Ryme tries to hype them up as much as possible).

Canine: Lilac(my self insert).

Bubble: Bill from Gravity Falls.

Pomni: Brandy from Bluey.

Gangle: Mitzi from Animal Crossing.

Zooble: Squidward from Spongebob.

Kinger: Koraidon from Pokemon. (Koraidon's a girl because her past life was Professor Sada)

Ragatha: Hierophant from Adventure Time.(I just had to put him somewhere, and I like to see him be kind and considerate for a change)

Jax: Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel.

Kaufmo: Spinel from Steven Universe.

And Queenie: Miraidon from Pokemon.(His past life was Professor Turo)

Rose - What is your OC's favourite form of self-care?

Melvala; she likes to soak in the private hot spring behind the museum. She also likes to find quiet and remote places to meditate.

Astrid; she LOVES taking naps under shady trees with her pokemon. She probably sleeps under trees more than she does in her bed.

Lilac - Does your OC have a comfort item? If so, what is it?

Helix; [post-war] she has some old items belonging to her late friend Deadbeat (partner’s OC) like an old mixtape that she likes to revisit when she misses him

Daisy - What inspired you to create your OC?

Honestly for most of them they’re self inserts that have taken on lives of their own. For many, it’s simply my player character in a game that over time I’ve woven into the plot!

send me 🤝 + some info about your self-insert and I’ll tell you how our self-inserts would get along! - aww, the facts you’ve sent are really sweet! Your self-insert is in Galar, so out of my two Pokémon self-inserts, the one she would end up meeting is Adriana (since she visits there with Luna at one point). I think we’d get on very well, since I remember reading that your self-insert is actually quite quiet despite being the Electric-type Gym Leader, which Adriana will appreciate. Not to mention, if my own experience with ORAS’ Super-Secret Bases is any indication, I also have a very soft spot for Pokémon plushies, hehe

Plus, Adri actually has a cute Electric-type of her own - namely, her Shiny Ampharos! So although that’s a bit bigger than most of Lilac’s team (since she’s got like a Pikachu and a Togedemaru and a Boltund and so on, right?), I bet it’d be fun to see how our Pokémon get on, too! Unlike the yellow colour of normal Ampharos or the pink of most Shiny Ampharos, Adriana’s Ampharos is actually blue, because Pokémon who come from the Reborn region tend to have different Shiny colouration. So I think that could be cool for Lilac to get to see ^-^
