what do you think about horrortale? idk anything about it but i've heard it has some questionable elements >_>
i'm gonna be honest horrortale has never been scary to me,, the character designs are pretty generic imo, and i get the whole concept is basically "oh yea the normal ut cast got all kinds of fucked after frisk left" but that's still just not very compelling??
i can see the concept of famine driving ppl to desperation but i cannot get behind the eating humans part because first off WHERE are they getting all those humans, second if eating humans makes monsters all Big And Scary And Fucked Up why is papyrus the only mildly interesting character design in the dang au
idk i just think it could really push the actual Horror aspect a bit more, when you've already got a buncha monsters i dont think it would hurt to really push that they ARE monsters, especially in a situation as desperate as they're in

#shompsketch#blaze royal#blaze#oc#original#the mental exhaustion has me wishing i could just go to sleep#but then there’s the nightmares#it doesn’t cancel out the love and support of my people… neither cancel each other out#and having these two emotions at such an extreme for a prolonged period of time takes it’s toll.#a 9 month old just turned 10 months old in an underground tunnel and i can only wish his mom gets to hug him (she’s a hostage too).#there are 3 and 4 year old hostages who’ve gone a month without a hug#and even when they’re hopefully rescued their parents won’t be there to receive them#they’ve been surrounded by their parents’ murderers this whole time#they shouldn’t need to go through this#will they ever recover#just. it’s this loop of grief and stress and urgency and worry and betrayal from those who see no problem tearing their pictures down.#with a latte in their other hand and a smug sickening smirk.#crumbling the paper. throwing it on the sidewalk. stomping on it and walking away like it’s nothing.#…can’t write more. rant over.#over and out#why am i even putting this in my art tags i don’t even know#but can’t bring myself to remove and put in a separate post

I wanna flesh out a yakuza oc but every time I think about it I end up thinking about an oc of mine who already Exists who’s not a yakuza oc. but is, in fact, an oc who is a yakuza. and that fact is genuinely completely unrelated
#he existed WAY before I started playing yakuza or knew really anything about it#actually he contributes to why I got into yakuza to begin with. cause when my friend first showed me y0 I was like ough… my character#grew up in this exact environment and culture and structure and etc (son of a patriarch)#so it was legitimately a good reference for his background and stuff#I kinda wanna talk about him/his background more on here but. like i said he’s. not technically a yakuza oc#and he can’t be because he. canonically. has PLAYED yakuza. like the games EXIST cause it’s just a normal real world type universe and#I won’t get into all this much but he ends up in the states on the dl for Reasons. accidentally ends up with a son when he’s 22 (son’s#mother being significantly younger but again we’re not gonna get into THAT mess). ends up seeing the first game being sold somewhere in nyc#and is unable to restrain his curiosity about it (as an Actual Yakuza) so he ends up getting his son a ps2 for his birthday partly just#as an excuse to buy and play yakuza 1 because he NEEDS to know what’s in it#something something it ends up being a weird bonding thing with his son who’s definitely too young to be watching this game being played#(he was born the same year as haruka so he’d be like. 8-9. also already a concerningly violent child with many issues but. anyway)#something something he ends up disappearing out of the blue from the states when his son is 12 but the pastime still sticks for said son#from then on. so uh. yeah weirdly significant that these games Exist in this story/universe bdsjhfdfjnd#idk why I’m avoiding saying his name. his name’s asura. he’s a year or two older than daigo (born 1974) and his family’s supposed to be a#pretty powerful one in the tokyo area and he was supposed to be a nepo baby sorta like daigo except he’s not Technically an only child- he#has a much younger sister. but obviously she wasn’t gonna be considered for taking over their father’s seat nor would she want to#she wants absolutely nothing to do with any of it and changes her last name pretty soon after moving to the US to get away from them#no beef with her brother or anything she was just treated absolutely horribly and disgustingly by older members of their family growing up#ANYWAY I should stop talking bdshshcbsnnf I didn’t mean to infodump all this the lore is just. deep with these guys#Asura wasn’t even made to be a particularly prominent character or anything it’s his SON who’s a Bonafide Main Character and asura’s ties in#the story are mostly related to Him. (though his sister is also a pretty prominent character so there’s connection there too)#rambling#also one more note. yes. the timing and location of where asura would’ve first bought yakuza 1 means that it would most likely be the#infamous original english dub version. which is hilarious to think about#especially because his son’s mom (I keep calling her that because they weren’t really in a Relationship they just co-parented and lived#together a little less than half the time. it’s complicated) Did Not Approve of a game that Adult around their kid. so she would not be fond#of walking in the room and hearing TEN YEARS IN THE JOINT MADE YOU A FUCKING PUSSY#luckily she was so young and considered her son a lost cause and a burden as it is so. she complained but didn’t really do anything about#it. I mean shit she was like. only around 24-25 I think. but yeah

But I think it's interesting stuff so#Doesn't help that rn I'm trying to do a lineup of my 4 main ocs that I hope to make a comic with someday...#I have done a lineup of them in the past (that I haven't shared publicly) as very tiny + basic but bc of that. Not a lot of features.#So I'm trying to do a proper lineup now. This will be my first proper full body drawings of them :3#I will probably show it off when I'm all done because I've been drawing this so far for 8/9 days. And I'm not even half-way done#BUT YEAH. #art#ocs#oc art#traditional art#watercolour#i desperately need to name these guys. witch woman. coworker. the cat man. all NAMELESS#because im a cruel cruel oc creator.....developing everything but leaving them all unnamed hjkfdldfhKSDLS#also unrelated but i recently had to get some new india ink cause my old bottle finally gave out#(it was nearly 8 years old and only had a few mls left so one day i opened it and it was completely separated and dried out RIP)#and like so i used to use speedball india ink all the time but then switched to kuretake because the speedball bottle is evil#(it WILL mysteriously splatter ink everywhere while also drying the cap to the body)#and like i think those inks are basically super comparable like straight up almost the same#(its india ink so i mean. theres not much to mess up there BUT i have had some really shitty india inks before!!)#(hated the demco stuff cause it didn't flow well on dip pens (too slippery?) and both demco and higgins was too gray)#(i need my india ink to be BLACK like WHY would i want dark gray india ink when i can get the same dark gray from markers)#(i use dip pens and india ink BECAUSE i want the waterproof darkness only carbon water and shellac can provide hejfdkslflhjfkdls)#but now that my kuretake ran out and buying it rn would be super hard (i was very lucky and was able to get it for like 9 bucks years ago)#(but now i'd have to pay like thrice the price and wait super long orz) so i went back to speedball despite their wretched bottles#and now that im using it again after so long using kuretake i am noticing some interesting subtle differences#like i said theyre both just as good. speedballs bottle sucks. kuretake is a bit thick sometimes. pros and cons lol#but interestingly i forgot about how speedball dries so like. convex? like they both dry shiny (thats da shellac baby!!!!) but kuretake goes#like pretty flat? while speedball feels more raised and ever so slightly more shiny? ive also noticed the watercolor like slides off it#maybe speedball has way more shellac? its not bad its actually kinda nice. bottle still sucks tho. hopefuly i can transfer it to another LOL#anyway this has been. impromptu ink reviews with your host bmpmp3 thank u and goodnight
