-The scientific name for Lileep is "Actinocrinites crinus" which roughly translates to "tentacle-rated lily"
-Lileep are fossil pokemon that became extinct around a hundred million years ago. The first Lileep fossil was found in Hoenn, but fossils of them have been found all over tropical oceans
-Lileep lived 300 million years before Tyranitar and became extinct around 100 million years ago
-While many people seem to think that Lileep are more closely related to Frillish and Jellicent, they're actually more closely related to Mareanie, Toxapex, Staryu, and Starmie
-Resurrecting Lileep and releasing them is actually highly discouraged, as the ocean are not what they were like 300 million years ago, and they often die after a couple of weeks (be careful, Anon)
-The average life span for a Lileep is 35 years (might be different for you, Anon, since you were a human first)
-Lileep can regenerate limbs very quickly
-When Lileep were first resurrected, vases designed to look like them were very popular

Papa louie x Fakemon 3. Mary x Sue Fakemon
I felt like I made them too human, but they're also supposed to be based off of the Gardevoir and Gallade line so I guess it's OK. I don't want these to be version exclusives but if it has to be then the Sue line is in Pokemon Solemnity and the Mary line is in Pokemon Mischief. I would most likely have the other not be catchable till the post game or just be whenever you find them. They are early route so like at least lvl 5 to 10 at most. Anyways....

Speaking of Watsonian VS Doyalist. Why is Nidoran M/F the only Pokemon species with gender specific evoultion to have seperate entries for it's Male and Female counterpart? Like Doylist it's probably a programing thing but like what's the lore.
Hm.
My best guess would be that the Nidoran m/f lines seem separate compared to the other gender-specific evolutions.
There's six pokemon that can evolve based on gender: Nidoran, Burmy, Combee, Kirlia, Salandit, and Snorunt.
In the latter five, all those Pokemon start 100% exactly the same. You can't really tell them apart aside from the minor gender differences on some.
Nidoran(f) and Nidoran(m) look very similar, but also have big differences as well. More than the standard for just 'gender differences'. And it might have lead researchers to categorize them as two separate Pokemon.
Some Pokemon Researchers may argue for the two evolution lines to be combined together. Others still think that while the pokemon are very similar, they could also be separate single-gendered species.

When flames drip from its nose, that means it has a cold. Have it lie down for a nice rest in some magma. Its body temperature is always around 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit. If Magby falls into a small- enough pond, the whole thing will dry up.

There are still quite a few factories that rely on the flames provided by Magmortar to process metals. Magmortar takes down its enemies by shooting fireballs, which burn them to a blackened crisp. It avoids this method when hunting prey.

Introduction
Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon are common Normal/Flying bird Pokémon of the tropics, and make a good choice for many Trainers. They are easy to level up, evolve quickly, and become powerful as Toucannon. Pikipek is good for beginning Trainers who are outdoors most of the time; and Toucannon is sought after by many Flying-type enthusiasts. All three stages are also social and affectionate, as they naturally live in closely bonded flocks.
Pikipek’s neck muscles allow it to peck 16 times per second, which it does to communicate with others, and to drill holes in trees for storing food and building nests. It is even capable of shattering stone. Despite its small, convenient size, Pikipek is not recommended to keep indoors due to its tendencies to peck at surfaces and launch seeds from its beak.
Trumbeak has flexible points on its beak that bend backward, which helps amplify its calls and shoot seeds. It is very vocal, and capable of producing over 100 distinct calls due to this unique anatomical feature. Although these sounds are fascinating, Trumbeak may not be the best choice for Trainers who have neighbors living in close proximity.
Toucannon is able to heat up the gases in its beak to over 212 degrees Fahrenheit, enabling it to use its signature move Beak Blast, which uses two turns and will leave the opponent with the Burn status if it makes contact. Toucannon communicate with one another by striking their beaks together, and can tell how the other feels based on the number and the strength of these hits. They mate for life and will even rear bird Pokemon eggs that are not their own, so they are prized as a wedding charm in some cultures. Toucannon are also known for being very cuddly with their Trainers, though not super clingy.

Important Considerations for Owning Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon
Providing enough exercise and mental stimulation: Like all Pokémon, Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon need environmental enrichment to avoid boredom. Pikipek and Trumbeak need a good amount of exercise, although Toucannon does not need much.
Diet: Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon are sensitive to the iron content of their food, so it must be kept as low as possible in order to avoid iron storage disease.
Messiness: Just like all bird Pokémon, Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon eliminate very frequently. They also enjoy throwing pieces of their food.
Destructive behavior: Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon are all likely to be destructive, especially if they are bored.
Care
Because Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon are bird Pokémon, they are incredibly messy. They produce huge amounts of excrement, enjoy playing with their food by throwing it, and molt their feathers at least once a year. Thus they are definitely not low-maintenance, and require constant cleaning up after.
One way that Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon keep clean is by taking baths in shallow water, so they will need to be provided with an appropriate-sized birdbath or pool. They also enjoy being lightly misted with a hose, plant sprayer, or automated mister.
In the wild, Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon eat mostly fruit; along with some Bug and Grass-type Pokemon. Their diet under the care of Trainers should consist mostly of 50% fruits and 50% pellets, with some vegetables once in a while. They are all susceptible to iron storage disease from eating too many foods high in iron, so they must be fed special low-iron pellets. Citrus fruits other than Sitrus Berries should be avoided because they may aid absorption of iron. Fruits that can be fed to them other than the typical Berries include apples, grapes, papaya, mango, cantaloupe, blueberries, bananas, pears, peaches, apricots, and cherries. Their diet can also occasionally be supplemented with ground Kricketot. Pikipek may eat 0.5 pounds of food a day, Trumbeak 2 pounds, and Toucannon 3.5 pounds. Use a kitchen scale to weigh out these amounts, then divide them into 2 daily feedings.
Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon enjoy using their beaks to probe for food, so puzzle feeders such as those made from PVC pipes work great for behavioral enrichment. One variation is the “kerplunk feeder”, in which they have to remove the sticks to make the food fall out. Food can also be placed inside traffic cones, cardboard tubes or boxes, etc. Traffic cones are great toys for these Pokémon, as they love to fit their beaks inside them, pick them up, carry them around, and even launch seeds at them. Traffic barrels are a better size for Toucannon’s beak. Another great form of enrichment is tall cardboard boxes, which all three evolutionary stages will shoot seeds at. Pikipek is also capable of efficiently pecking holes in it, while Trumbeak and Toucannon will drag the box around in their beaks. Any other objects that cannot be swallowed or taken apart such as medium-sized or large balls, shower poufs, or sticks also make good toys to play with.
Recall training is also an excellent form of enrichment for any Pokémon. Use a whistle or call the Pokémon’s name, and have treats or a toy ready so that the Pokémon is motivated to come to you. When using this for play, do it while hiding out of view of your Pokemon so that it has to find you, like hide-and-seek. Pikipek, Trumbeak, and Toucannon are all flock-oriented Pokemon that come to each other when called, so they are good at recall training.

So this is basically PMD x Kirby
(Here’s a key: pink is the name of the character, green is the Pokemon they chose, blue means male, pink means female, purple is the description of design changes)
So, before I explain who gets who, Adeleine sets up a few rules/guidelines for everyone.
1: The couch. Adeleine and Ribbon live in a cottage on the outskirts of town and therefore have a small house. When everyone’s there, she has a set seating system: tall people (DDD, herself, Daroach, etc) have to sit on the couch or in the general back. Short people (basically everyone else) sit in front of the couch and around the floor (she gives them pillows and floor seats of course)
2: No repeats! It’s to help her remember and also to not cause confusion or arguments. Nobody gets to have the same Pokemon as someone else (the only exception being if they plan to evolve them into a branching evolution, like Gardevoir and Gallade in the Ralts line)
3: Personalize! Everyone gets to add design changes to theirs (cut ear, different patterns, accessories, etc) to make them their own! They also assign genders to theirs and if they can’t decide, dice are rolled. Odds for male, evens for female (they can choose not to, but the vast majority were like “yeah whatever let’s just give them a gender”).
Ok onto the actual Pokemon
Adeleine: Chikorita, female, wears a scarf (part of the in-game story) and has a multicolored head leaf! Also had a small crystal hanging from her neck!
She saw the design and called them a “tiny dinosaur with a big leaf” and immediately decided on them. She loves them to death and thinks they’re the cutest Pokemon on the planet.
Ribbon: Fennekin, female, wears a scarf (part of the in-game story), has fur that is more pink than red, and wears a huge red bow! Also has a small crystal hanging from her neck!
Couldn’t choose the same Pokemon as Adeleine and thought Fennekin looked beautiful (she was even more excited when she saw the final evolution). She also has a type matchup with Adeleine and absolutely takes bullets for her to keep her from dying.
Kirby: Eevee, female, white fur is tinted pink, has blue eyes instead of brown, and wears bunch of colorful accessories like bows, bracelets/anklets, and collars!
Couldn’t decide on the gender and the dice rolled female! He doesn’t care and loves his Eevee!!! He likes how soft they look and how they have different evolution!! It’s like his copy abilities!!! He’s stuck trying to figure out what to evolve them into tho.
Dedede: Piplup, male, wears a big robe and hat, body is a slightly darker and more vibrant blue, and is a little chubbier!
He convinced Adeleine to take on a more difficult dungeon request for this (she got a big dinner at the royal table and got to stay the night in one of the royal rooms out of it though so it was worth it) and after a near 2 hour run and almost 3 game overs, she got it. Dedede only wanted it because it’s the only penguin Pokemon in the series and he wanted a big penguin like himself!!!
Meta Knight: Ralts (Gallade), male, wears a mask like his own, has more jagged blades, and wears a cape!
Only picked them because they saw Gallade and said “yeah that’s gonna be me” and didn’t wait for an answer. He likes their arm blades and the fact that they have a mega evolution (even BIGGER blades!!!!!!! A big tattered cape!!!!!! Badass looks!!!!! What’s not to like!!!!)
Bandee: Karrablast, male, wears a blue bandana, body is orange instead of blue, stomach is cream instead of orange, and has a tiny spear (this is later removed when they evolve)!!!
They saw Escavalier and got super excited!! Double spear arms!!! Armored and tough looking!!! They like how tough they look and 100% chose them for that reason only (although the Pokemon kinda grew on them over time). Not ultra tough right now but they’re getting there!
Marx: Sableye, male, gems are basically mirrors, wears a jester cap like his own, and has only 2 claws instead of 3!!
He likes how fucking creepy they look and how their mega evolution has teeth. It’s a very specific detail they will absolutely drill into why they like them so much. They also like how powerful they can be if used correctly!
Gooey: Goomy, female, body is shades of blue instead of purple, has a tongue that noticeably sticks out!!
He originally wanted Ditto but then they saw Goomy and felt a certain kind of love for them. He also couldn’t decide and the dice rolled female! He likes how the name is similar to his own and how they’re goopy like him!!! They’re also super squishy and he is too!!!!!!
Rick: Dedenne, male, tail is shorter, body is similar in color to him, has beans!!!!!!
He likes how they’re kinda hamster-esc!! They have electricity too which is hella cool. They look kinda soft to him and he was mildly upset over them not having paw beans and demanded that Dedenne be given justice by having them drawn in (Adeleine totally agrees to this). He likes to think they’re mega soft like himself!!!
Kine: Magikarp, male, slightly flatter, blue instead of orange, larger fins!!
He couldn’t choose a Pokemon and eventually just settled on Magikarp because he thought they’d be ok. Didn’t realize they evolve into such a big Pokemon until they saw what it looked like in one of the dungeons. The keep bragging about how powerful they’re gonna be when they finally evolve, but nobody is taking him seriously because he can only use 1 move as of now and hasn’t reached a point where he can evolve yet.
Coo: Hoothoot, male, body is purple instead of brown, has spiked feathers on his head, has a softer and fluffier appearance!!!!!
It’s an owl. He wanted to be an owl. He reeeeaaallly wants to evolve because Noctowl looks way cooler but he’s fine with what he’s got for now!!! He has a speed based build because he can fly very fast :)
Dark Meta Knight: Noibat, female, monochromatic colors with some red mixed in, mask with a scar, tattered wing membrane!!!
Purposefully decided on having a femal because he thinks it kicks ass a little more (also he loves his adopted daughter and decided that would be badass too). Built like a fucking assault tank but with speed. He absolutely leads the charge when he’s playing and takes every fucking hit possible if it’s aimed at his daughter. Gloats about his badass evolution and how fucking sick it looks despite having not evolved yet.
Daroach: Sneasel, male, wears a cloak and hat like his own, has yellow and longer claws!!!!
He didn’t like any of the existing rats and said “lemme get a thief pokemon” and settled on Sneasel. They have a team called the Squeak Squad and it’s comprised of his Sneasel and the squeaks own copies of the game! They play together in their free time and Daroach had Adeleine grab him a Sneasel so he could play on her copy too.
Magolor: Inkay, male, wears a blue cloak like his own, has yellow eyes!!! (The cloak doesn’t really fit until Inkay evolves)
Physically couldn’t choose and then someone showed him Inkay and he said “oh! I fucking hate them.” It was only until they showed him Malamar that he said “oh they look like they’d backstab someone. Perfect.” He likes how fucking ominous they look and how they would 100% be a supervillain given the chance. His Inkay is a good guy tho don’t worry.
Taranza: Joltik, male, has tiny fangs and little horns that grow out when they evolve, wears a cape, has little gloves on their hands!!!
He wanted Flabebe because of the flowers but was told someone already took that one and decided he’d take a spider Pokemon! Almost settled on Ariados but then saw Galvantula and got super excited. He likes their fuzzy look and thinks they are a lovely Pokemon!!
Susie: Gothita, female, eyes are gradient blue with no pupils, has pink accents on the head, more modern appearance!!
She couldn’t find any pretty ones with tech on them but liked Gothita! She thinks they look ok and Adeleine was nice enough to invite her over for PMD game day so she joined in. Her Gothita is surprisingly beastly and is a heavy hitter! However she also gets her ass kicked really fast because Gothita isn’t built for up close heavy hitting.
Zan Partizanne: Shinx, female, wears the same clothes as her, has more yellow on her!!
She really liked how Shinx looks. Tiny electric kitty puppy thing! She wanted to name it after some kind of thunder deity but wasn’t able to (she probably had a name for it tho). Speedy little powerhouse who looks adorable. Continues to tell Adeleine that she’s only doing this to repay her debt (and also for insulting her hairline) but is really just enjoying herself.
Flamberge: Fletchling, female, wears the hat and ribbon-like shawl, has spiked feathers that stick up a lot like her hair, more vibrant red!!!
She fucking loves this little bird. Like. A lot. Something about them is just so awesome to her. Maybe it’s because it evolves into a giant fire falcon but who knows! She just loves them and cherishes them with all her heart. BEGGED Adeleine to recruit them and managed to convince her (she had to offer up making her a cool sword to get it. Adeleine accepted the deal almost immediately because cool ass sword).
Francisca: Vanillite, female, wears the hat and shawl, has more vibrant blue, ice cream part is the same color as her hair!!!
You know exactly why she chose this one. Ice cream baby!!!!!!!! She thinks they’re lovely and wants a plush of them super bad (they don’t make them yet but merch happens eventually!). She jokes that they have an ice cream stash they live in.
Pitch: Pidgey, male, green in color!
He got to join in after the other animal friends told him! He’s good friends with Adeleine (all the animal friends are) and she let him pick a Pokemon! He doesn’t play as much because he has to use his little feet’s but he does his best!
Nago: Glameow, female, body is orange and the ears are brown! Eyes remain closed instead of open to reflect his design!
He wanted it to be a girl just because. He says it’s because it resembles his girlfriend a teensy bit (just in coat color really) and he loves her a lot. Little bastard cat causes trouble on adventures and purposefully runs off to look for the stairs by himself without any incentive from Adeleine.
Chuchu: Frillish, female, wears a small red ribbon and has a more vibrant pink body!!
Couldn’t choose originally but settled on Frillish because it’s the closest thing to her. Nicknamed it frilly and likes to cause problems. She’s got a pretty decent move set and knows how to kick ass with it tho so she makes up for her trouble with that.
Queen Ripple: Flabébé, female, wears glasses and has black ear frill things, wears her crown, and wears her dress!!! Flower is white!
She gets to play too!!!!! Adeleine offered to let her have a Pokemon and she plays though wireless connection! On a very rare occasion, she makes a trip out to Popstar for a week or so and gets to play during then! She has a lot of fun and adores the design for Flabébé so damn much (plus it’s fairy type and that makes her very happy)!!!

What's your favorite pokemon? And why?
CYNDIQUIL (MY BELOVED)!
Okay so the first Pokémon game I've ever played was Soul Silver (game started on Valentine's day of 2014) and Cyndiquil was my starter since that game (as well as Gold, Silver, Crystal and Heart Gold) all take place in Johto! Fire was my favorite type at the time and I didn't like either of the other two choices so I picked Cyndiquil!
My first Cyndiquil was a female (12.5% chance) and since she was so cute I never evolved her! She was the first Pokémon for me to ever get to level 100 which is the max level cap and it took me 3 years to get her there!! I beat the game using her primarily and other Pokémon that were basically just there to absorb hits while she was healed!
Also: her moveset!!! So in SS the only types Dragon is weak to is Ice and Dragon, and right before I had to battle a dragon master who's the strongest man in the Johto region, I taught her hidden power, which is a move that has a random type depending on the Pokémon. By chance I ended up with a little fire mouse with an ice hidden power. She kills fucking dragons!!!
More on why her being a girl helped cement her as my favorite mon: the third gym leader in Johto is notorious for being difficult because her two mons are tanks, only weak to one type, and they're both females with the attract move. That means that if you get the only mon available to you up to that point that's got the type strong against them, he'll always be a boy and if they use attract then he'll fall in love and not be able to hit them. With the starter mons being majority male, this is also a problem with them. Not for my Cyndiquil that was able to kick her ass bc she couldn't be attracted by either of the mons!!!;
TL;DR: my first ever Pokémon ended up being pretty OP thanks to some training and luck and now it's my favorite mon

The Pokémon au no one asked for:
- Everyone probably uses Apricorn balls, because this is probably still a more medieval setting, but if you wanna say “screw it, regular balls are a thing” that’s fine too.
- Alfyn can treat both people and Pokémon.
He has a Delibird to start, and they are not a native species to Clearbrook/the Riverlands. Possibly given to him by Graham before he left (maybe even as an egg), but I’m not 100% on that. Maybe it was a fluke and one just wandered too far from home.
Alfyn WILL, at some point, attract a Shaymin with all the gratitude people feel toward him.
Those aren’t the only Pokémon he’s going to get. He might get healing staples like Audino, Chansey, or Comfey. Maybe a Tauros or a Sawsbuck. Not sure.
- Therion starts out without any Pokémon at all. Pokémon were a luxury to kids like him before Darius’ betrayal, and afterward he closed his heart to everybody, even Pokémon.
Naturally, this changes after Therion teams up with Alfyn. Alfyn finds a Salandit hiding under a rock and guarded as fuck. It’s hissin’ mad and all beaten up, so Alfyn, in true Alfyn fashion, just has to treat the poor thing. Therion only takes an interest because it’s shiny, and despite not being the kind of thief to steal Pokémon, knows it’d fetch a pretty penny. This being a wild one means it’s free real estate.
Therion tells Alfyn, because he’s a country boy who knows nothing of shinies or selling pokemon, that only females of the species evolve/their rarity and it’d fetch them a small fortune if they were. Alfyn just scratches the newly tamed Salandit under the chin and goes something like, “so you’re a real special little lady, huh?” and Therion nearly chokes because he was so sure it was just a male like 90% of all other fucking Salandits (Alfyn knew because that’s literally part of his job).
Therion ends up bonding with her and the plans to sell her eventually are abandoned. (Ironically, she may never evolve, because Salazzle doesn’t have the bandit aesthetic)
If Therion gets anything else (he may not), there is a Nicket in his future.
- H’aanit has Linde as her companion. Linde, however, was hard to convert. I’ve gone rouge and decided “She’s a regional variant of Liepard”. An ice type Liepard, H’aanit and her people don’t generally catch Pokémon, but they can talk to them so H’aanit can convince wild Pokémon in the area to come to her aid.
H’aanit never catches anything else besides Linde (maybe after realizing Linde having a ball will help keep her from being Poke-napped. She gets Linde’s consent for this)
- Ophilia is a tricky one. She may have a Litwick/Lampent, or maybe she has a healer pokemon. Pokémon don’t really come in “holy/light” flavors, so I can’t really go off that to get something that fits. An Espeon or Sylveon wouldn’t be a bad idea.
- Cyrus probably has something like a Gardevoir or Alakazam. Or, option B) He has a starter trio. Since Cyrus is a 30-year-old man, they may even be fully evolved from the start. (The older the traveler is, the more likely their Pokémon are to be fully evolved)
- Tressa has a Skwovet/Greedunt at home. She mentions having a pet squirrel in tavern banter who helps pick out the freshest nuts and berries, and Swovet/Greedunt fits the bill.
Her actual first Pokémon is something she gets from Leon. Probably a flying type of some sort, but Dratini would be cute because:
Leon probably has a Dragonair. Blue serpent spear, blue serpent like Pokémon. Easy.
Naturally, Tressa would get ahold of a Meowth as well. Or she starts with Meowth and Leon gifts her a Dratini later. (Their entire friendship is just really nice and it makes me happy)
- Olberic: Easy as pie, Aegislash. Possibly an Escavalier in his future.
He gives Philip an egg his Aegislash found (actually made) before he leaves on his journey, and when he returns home, he finds that the egg has hatched into a honedge. Olberic is just so proud of his son, okay?
- Primrose has a Furfrou from her rich girl days. It was possibly her father’s pokemon first.
The kind of pokemon she’d add to her team later are the pretty ones. Things like Lopunny, Gardevior, and Hatterene. Possibly a Salazzle that is now in rivals with Therion’s Salandit. Not a big rivalry, because Primrose’s Salazzle is an adult pokemon while Therion’s Salandit is actually a baby. A Zorua/Zoroark wouldn’t be a bad idea.
- Yusufa eventually gets a Popplio, because she lives and is traveling with everyone else because it sucks that she died in the first place so that isn’t happening in this au.
- Kit has an Eevee.

Possmortum is often portrayed as a surly, disease ridden, good for nothing pest but it's actually quite docile and timid. It feeds mostly on sweet fruit but has been observed eating dead Rattata, Seviper and Minccino.
When one of their kin dies, the entire group gathers to bury the body and mourn. Their screeches and wails were once believed to be signs of approaching death.

v3 Pokemon Team Headcanons
Partially for my own use so I don’t forget what I come up with before I draw them, but figured it would be nice to share them. Most of the ones do not include SW/SH ones since I don’t know too much about the game, unless I thought they really fit the character well.
-Rantaro has a lot of Pokemon from different regions and has acquired a few fossil Pokemon while traveling:
Lapras (who he rides on)
Aerodactyl (can Mega Evolve, but he doesn’t do it often)
Alolan Vulpix
Oddly enough, a Kangaskhan (his sisters are a big fan of her and have tried to ride in her pouch)
Gallade
Dhelmise (who resides by his ship when it’s not in use)
He also has an Oddish that was given as a gag gift from Kokichi due to it vaguely resembling his hair.
-Kaede has a lot of musically inclined and sweet-natured Pokemon, such as:

Primarina
Altaria (can Mega Evolve)
Plusle (who is best friends with Shuichi’s Minun)
Jigglypuff (who has definitely caused some problems at a concert)
Blissey
She has also managed to befriend Meloetta, to everyone’s astonishment.
-Kaito has a lot of Rock-type Pokemon, and has made it his personal mission to go into space to see and catch Deoxys. No one knows how he’s going to accomplish that, but they humor him when he’s poring over meteors in a museum.

-Like Miu, Kiibo also has mostly Electric and Steel-types that can help him if he ever shorts out. He’s tried to get some non-Electric or Steel types, but they really seem to be attracted to him wherever he goes...

Crobat (Even though he’s a Supreme Leader, the high friendship stat is proof that he is a kind person at heart..!)

For Ryoma’s birthday, he gave an egg from his Liepard. Rantaro has also given him a Stunfisk after Kokichi kept commenting on how it was the funniest Pokemon he’s seen (a most grievous mistake, as Kokichi has started putting it in inconvenient places that most people step on)
-Korekiyo has more spiritual/folklore-esque Ghost Pokemon on his team, but also has some old fossil or archaeological ones he keeps in and out of rotation on his trips. Ghost type Pokemon seem to follow him wherever he goes...
Sigilyph, Baltoy, Spiritomb, and Relicanth are in rotation

Kirumi has given him a Dratini egg from her Dragonair, since it’s a fairly rare Pokemon that he was interested in studying at the time.
-Kirumi does not have a specific type preference, but rather ones that fit the practicality of her talent and aesthetic:

Cinccino (loves to clean and 100% helps her out when she’s sweeping the dorms. Has beef with Kokichi and Miu’s Pokemon at all times)
Ariados (which Kokichi hates, but Gonta loves and dotes on)
Serperior (infamous for its Resting Mom Face that shuts everyone up with its Glare move)
She also has a Glalie from a Snorunt that Korekiyo has given her (sorry gotta plug the subtle ship.) It has a mischievous streak of hanging out in the refrigerator and freezer box.
-Maki favors Dark types that can help her like:
Bisharp (has threatened to use Guillotine on Kokichi and Kaito numerous times)
Houndoom (can Mega Evolve)
Sneasel
Mightyena (has also threatened to bite Kokichi and Kaito)
Sharpedo
Alolan Marowak (who Kaito and Kokichi has been a victim of clubbing a few times)
Indeedee (Female, exclusively used when she babysits)
(They look scary, but they’re all actually big softies. Kaito’s also given her a female Litleo so they can match, and a Togepi--)
-Angie has whimsical and art-inspired ones to fit her talent and personality such as:
Spinda (she draws inspiration from its movements)
Ludicolo
Oricorio (Sensu)
Xatu (they 100% share visions together)
Smeargle
Golurk (statue!)
Angie also has a Whimsicott with the ability Prankster that she rotates out every now and then.
-Shuichi probably has mostly dark types, but overall has Pokemon that can help him on his investigations:

Espeon (came from the same parent as his Umbreon, they are inseparable)

Minun (best friends with Kaede’s Plusle)
Absol (can Mega Evolve)
A rather timid Meowstic (M) that enjoys stealing his hat so much he had Tsumugi make a mini one for his Pokemon. Tsumugi’s Meowstic is unhealthily obsessed with his Meowstic.

Pokemon Designs I don’t like. Part 5.
Gen 5.
If you thought Gen 4 was bad, you haven’t seen Gen 5. This list would be way shorter if it was the Pokemon designs I do like, but we know we’re all here to roast ugly Pokemon so let’s do this!
First though, dishonorable mentions.
Purloin.
My only problem here is the fact that it looks like its wearing a leotard. That’s weird.
That’s it for now, on with the list.
1. The starter Pokemon and their evolutions.
If I don’t like any of the starter Pokemons for a game, we got a problem. Okay, Snivey is kind of cute, but if it’s ultimately gonna evolve into a grass snake, then why give it arms and legs? Just make it a cute little snake! The evolve forms could also look better.
Tepig is cute, as long as you don’t think it’s wearing brown underwear, why not paint the hind legs too? Oh, it’s probably because the evolution form looks like its wearing a leotard, what is it with this gen and leotards? Tepig’s evolutions are unnecessarily humanoid, who wants a giant pig that fighter? Next they’re gonna be making a pro wrestling tiger.
Finally, Oshawott. I don’t like its dumb face, people say its cute, but I’ve seen cuter. I hate him in the anime and its color scheme bothers me, it looks more like an ice type, and that brown nose doesn’t match the rest of the colors. I could give it a pass if it had different colors and cool evolutions that make sense, but sadly, that’s not the case, I just find it hard to believe that Oshawott turns into Samurott, whos design could also use a few tweaks.
Snivy line: 8/10
Tepig line: 5/10
Oshawott line: 4/10.
2. Patrat and Watchog.
I wish the real designs were like the ones on the left. No, this is fanart that looks so much better than the original designs on the right.
This fanart made me realized that Watchog is like a mixture between a groundhog and a meerkat, well, IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE IT! I did not get that impression at all, even if its design is simplified, It doesn’t look like a meerkat at all, it doesn’t even feel like an animal. I thought it was some kind of rabid squirrel minus the white foam because, what’s with the crazy eyes? I understand the yellow vest, it’s a neat idea, but they could’ve made something less rabid squirrel and Gopher thief like. Although, now that I think about, why would it need to make itself visible in the dark? Did those gophers kept getting run over by cars? Survival of the safest, I guess.
2/10.

3. lillipup line.
I feel like I’ve seen this Pokemon somewhere before... Oh, right! In real life dog shows!
These are various breed of terriers turned into Pokemon, for example, the Norwich Terrier.
Nawwwww.
Lillipup looks like someone threw a pie at this dog’s face. I would’ve combine it with a bear or something like that, but I guess that would make it too fantastical for the Pokemon World.
2/10.
4. Elemental Monkeys.
I say nothing creative, I hear nothing original and I definitely see no good Pokemon designs here.
What was the point of making these things? I could give the three first monkeys a pass if they had a little more effort put into their designs, but those evolutions are terrible and unnecessary. Don’t make them evolve, specially into a Japanese high school hooligan, a fat monkey that hurt its fingers when somebody close the piano he was playing, and a hippie.
First stage: 3/10
Evolutions: 1/10
5. Pidove evolution line.
Okay, Pidove is a just pigeon. I used to see hundreds of them in the park I walked pass after school.
Tranquill could’ve look like an actual quail, but it’s just a bigger pigeon with a fancy hair style that doesn’t make any sense.
Unfezant... The female is boring like real life pheasants, but they at least have nicer colors than that. The male Unfezant is slightly more colorful, but compared to real pheasants both designs and color schemes are just boring. I like the male’s mask design though.
These are great ideas, a pigeon Pokemon evolving into a quail and then a pheasant, but they didn’t even try to make anything unique and memorable for these designs and it’s just a big letdown.
Pidove: 1/10.
Tranquill: 1/10.
Unfezant: 3 for the male, 1 for the female.
6. Blitzle and Zebstrika.
Just like with Stunky and Skuntank, I thought these were only one Pokemon. An evolution seems unnecessary, and even if they needed a pre evolution they could’ve played with the color pattern, you know, make the pre evolution white with black stripes and the evolution black with white stripes. This is just a big waste of potential.
2/10.
7. Swoobat.
Zubat was better looking than this thing. I get they wanted a bat Pokemon with a heart shape nose, but this is just lousy. Woobat gives the impression that it would evolve into something nice like an Honduran White bat, not this dummy.
2/10.
8. Drilbur and Excadril.
I hate this things face, I just can’t stand those stupid eyes and that nose, and what’s with the pattern on its body? Looks like somebody spilled blue paint on its fur.
While this guy looks like a Digimon. Why does it have a drill coming out of its head? This is like a lame attempt of making it look cool, but it just doesn’t work.
Drilbur: 2/10.
Excadrill: 3/10.
9. Timber evolution line.
Now these seem like Pokemon whos very existence look painful. I always found humanoid fighting Pokemons weird looking, but I can never stand to see these things. The first thing I see are those giant veins around their bodies. You know when you have to use all your strength and your veins can be seen through your skin? Just imagine a Pokemon always looking like that.
3/10.
10. Palpitoad.
Just Palpitoad. The transition evolution between Timpole and Seismitoad. It’s just so weird looking to me. It has that weird skin color in the middle of its body, that weird mouth, and those stubby feet. I know it’s the transition between a tadpole and a frog, but there has to be a better looking design.
3/10. At least they didn't make it look like it was wearing a leotard.
Wow, we are not even half way there, gonna have to stop here for now.
