It’s funny, the way Max is. He’s blunt all the time, but this is different. A part of you is worried that maybe he’s upset, that perhaps something like this will be the reason you and him stray apart - you can’t imagine it. The thought of being anything but with Max matches your chest tighten, and even though you’d like to think that isn’t the case, you can’t be sure.
The wait for Max to arrive at your house is almost torturous. Your mind is racing, and by the time you hear his car pull up, you’re damn near shaking out of your skin. He doesn’t even have to knock or ring the doorbell - hell, he’s barely out of the car when you open your front door and step outside. You study his body language, trying to determine what exactly to expect. You just can’t clock it. With a sharp inhale, you lock your door and then make your way towards the car.
“Is everything okay?” you ask, uncertainty making your voice waver. “Yes,” Max responds simply. It’s a genuine yes, and in fact, he sounds almost happy. Your brows furrow in confusion as he opens the passenger side door for you, and you genuinely don’t think you could be more puzzled. You press your lips together as he returns to the drivers seat and starts the car again, not waiting to pull out of the driveway.
“Max, you’re scaring me,” you say. Scared isn’t the right word, but it’s something along those lines. His eyes stay on the road, yours are fixed on his face, still trying so desperately to read him. He glances at you, offers a small smile, then reaches over to grab your hand. He intertwined your fingers, assuring you that there’s nothing to worry about. It’s still odd - the whole situation, but that does make you feel more relaxed.
It’s quiet for longer than you’d like it to be. Aside from the radio, which is on a low volume, and the smooth rumble of the vehicle, it’s silent.
Finally, Max speaks. “I’m not worried about the posts,” he says, glancing at you for the second time. You find yourself wishing he could look at you for longer, a weird feeling washing over you as his eyes return to the road. He squeezes your hand subconsciously, his thumb soothing over the back of it. “Seriously?” you almost forgot to respond, but at the last minute, you remember his statement. “Seriously,” Max hums. The smile returns to his lips, and much to your relief, he expounds.
“Sure, it’s not ideal, but at the same time,” he pauses, and you can tell he’s trying to think of how to describe it. He chuckles briefly, “The only way to put it is that it’s made me realize that you’re so much more than a good friend.”
You’re still stumped. Now, you’re realizing that you don’t even know where Max is taking you - not that you’re worried about it, but the whole situation is just so strange, especially for you and Max. Thus, you remain silent, eyes never leaving him. You’re waiting for him to say something else, and he’s waiting for you to respond, assuming that you’d understand what he’s saying. Hes the first to realize that you don’t understand, and amused smile playing on his lips at your confusion. “Hold on, you’ll know what I mean when we get there,” He says, and this is somehow so Max, but not him at all, leaving you to sit silently, at least a million thoughts filling your mind.
Max pulls into a parking lot, and it only takes you a moment to realize you know where you are. You’ve been here with him once before, and you still remember that night so vividly. That was the first - and only - time you had ever questioned your feelings for Max. Any other time, you never had to think about how you felt. You knew you were happy with him, and it was the same for him. You didn’t need to know if you loved him, and he didn’t need to know if he loved you.
Now that the memories are coming back to your mind, it begins to dawn on you, what Max said. Regardless, you stay quiet and let him guide you into the club, hand still in his. He takes you to the very spot you both sat the first night you came here, and this time, rather than an empty booth and table, there’s a large bouquet of white roses sitting atop the table, a small note folded beside them. You aren’t sure what to say, or what to do. Your eyes flicker between the roses, the note, and Max, who carefully pulls you closer, his free hand now resting on the small of your back.
“I’ll give you the choice - you can read the card or I can relay it to you,” he says. You choose what first comes to mind. “Relay it to me.” Max nods, then turns you to face him, his hands on your waist. Instinctively, you place yours on his shoulders. “Will you be my girlfriend?” He asks, and even though you’re certain that his words are the briefest summary of what’s in the card, you can’t be bothered. A smile takes over your expression and you nod. Max smiles too, pulling you into a tight hug.
The rest of the night, you continued on like you would have had he not asked you to be his girlfriend. There was no need for things to be different. In fact, the only thing that would change from here would be the pure admiration you both have always had for one another, and that was perfectly fine with you. Somewhere along the line, a certain friend showed up, and you did eventually read the card.
Safe to say, Max’s recap of the words written in the card were indeed brief. Your heart is happy knowing that only you would see such a soft, loving side of him, and only you would be able to clearly picture your best friend- boyfriend, all mushy as he writes the card.

Hoi! Herinner je je mij? Ik schreef ooit gedichtjes op dit platform en nu is mijn bundel te koop ❤️
Ik studeer af aan creative writing met een dichtbundel: In mijn droom besta ik uit pixels. Maandenlang keek ik naar livestreams van pleinen en stranden. Dit resulteerde in gedichten waarin ik mijn ouders vind, een man die sjaals verkoopt waar je in kan wonen en mijn eindeloze liefde: de zee. 🌊 tussen de gedichten door vind je ansichtkaarten naar (digitale) rustplaatsen / screenshots van waar ik maanden naar keek.

Hi all!
I just wanted to give you an update about sims and my page. And I have come to a conclusion of what I wanna do. So here we go.
I loved the sims. It still has a big and fond place in my heart but... it kinda is unplayable with out mods. At least in the way I wanna play. Updating mods and glitches made it a chore to play. Then comes the pressure of making nice screenshots and posing your sims to tell the story you want. It became a job to play and not a hobby anymore.
And with that all the community isn't what it was. I have found friends and awesome people on here. And usually can block out the negativity. But even now that I'm out of the loop for awhile now and not actively looking at sims stuff I hear and see negative stuff about the game, the makers but most of all about simers.
The community has become toxic. And I'm all for inclusiveness of all, be it shape, gender or color. But I'm not about excluding people because they are not "woke" enough. People are being called horrible things because someone is getting offended for someone else... can we please stop? I know people make mistakes about stuff but then educate not put down. And this is not only in the sims community but irl as well. Being afraid to say your opinion because someone might not like it is not okay. And yes someone might not play as inclusive as you but that doesn't mean they are against it. There is a difference. And I think the sims community overall has to learn it. Or maybe just grow up and not be a spoiled kid.
Sorry it became a little rant. And I have way more thoughts about it. Especially now that I have seen an other community.
FFXIV has been so nice, people have been helpfull and actually love the game they are playing. Sure there is this one or two who are not but that has been an exception. There is no pressure or a correct way of playing. Be it casually, raiding or just hanging out. There is no drama about what character you play or don't play. And I literally can't wait to play, every day! I don't feel like I have to do anything but enjoy myself. And yes I have been making pictures and posting it. But I don't feel like I have to. I want to. That's so different.
So yeah I think I won't go back to sims anytime soon. The game has cost me so much money, it has cost me drama, it has cost me peace of mind. And I don't want that anymore. And what I wanna give to the simmers still playing and posting is that this is your game. Play how you want, not in a way that you think is expected of you. And if someone has a problem with it they can tell you respectfully and you can look at it and if they aren't respectful you just need to ignore them.
So from this point on expect only FFXIV posts. If you don't want that on your feed feel free to unfollow. But if you think hey that looks nice and I wanna try as well also feel free to do so! (There is a free trail that you can download to see if it is something for you and I'll be gladly showing you around)

Laat de mensen gaan die niet klaar zijn om van je te houden.
Dat is het moeilijkste dat je in je leven zult moeten doen en dat zal ook het belangrijkste zijn.
Stop met moeilijke gesprekken met mensen die niet willen veranderen.
Stop met verschijnen voor mensen die je niet interesseren.
Ik weet dat je instinct alles in het werk stelt om de waardering te winnen van degenen om je heen, maar het is een impuls die je tijd, energie, je geestelijke en fysieke gezondheid steelt.
Wanneer je begint te vechten voor een leven met plezier, interesse en inzet, zal niet iedereen klaar zijn om je te volgen op deze plek.
Dat betekent niet dat je moet veranderen wie je bent, het betekent dat je mensen moet laten gaan die niet klaar zijn om mee te gaan.
Als je wordt uitgesloten, beledigd, vergeten of genegeerd door de mensen aan wie je je tijd schenkt, doe je jezelf geen plezier door hen je energie en je leven te blijven aanbieden.
De waarheid is dat jij er niet voor iedereen bent en niet iedereen is er voor jou.
Dat maakt het zo bijzonder als je mensen vindt met wie je vriendschap of liefde hebt.
Je zult weten hoe waardevol dat is omdat je hebt ervaren wat 'niet' is.
Er zijn miljarden mensen op deze planeet en velen van hen zullen je vinden op jouw niveau van belangstelling en betrokkenheid.
Misschien als je stopt met verschijnen, zoeken ze je niet.
Misschien als je stopt met proberen, stopt de relatie.
Misschien als je stopt met berichten te sturen, blijft je telefoon wekenlang donker of stil
Dat betekent niet dat je de relatie hebt verpest, maar dat betekent dat het enige wat haar ondersteunt is de energie die je gaf om het te onderhouden.
Het is geen liefde maar hechting.
Het is een kans geven aan degenen die het niet verdienen!
Je verdient veel meer.
Het meest waardevolle dat je in je leven hebt is je tijd en energie, aangezien ze allebei beperkt zijn.
Aan de mensen en de dingen die je je tijd en energie geeft, dat zal je bestaan definiëren.
Als je dit beseft, begin je te begrijpen waarom je zo ongeduldig bent als je tijd doorbrengt met mensen, activiteiten of ruimtes die niet bij je passen en niet dicht bij je mogen staan.
Je zal beseffen dat het belangrijkste dat je voor jezelf en iedereen om je heen kunt doen, is je energie harder beschermen dan wie dan ook.
Maak van je leven een veilige opvang, waar alleen ′′ compatibele ′′ mensen samen met je mogen zijn.
Jij bent niet verantwoordelijk voor het redden van anderen..
Je bent niet verantwoordelijk om ze te overtuigen om beter te worden.
Het is niet jouw taak om voor mensen te bestaan en hen je leven te geven!
Je verdient echte vriendschappen, echte verbintenissen en volledige liefde met gezonde en welvarende mensen.
De beslissing om afstand te nemen van schadelijke mensen zal je de liefde, de waarde, het geluk en de bescherming geven die je verdient.

Gisteren was onze trip naar wellicht het bekendste plekje in Schotland, Loch Ness!
Na de tussenstop in Pitlochry was het nog een trip van 2,5 uur. Na kort overleg hadden we een plekje uitgezocht bij Loch Ness, Dores Beach.
Dit was alvast een mooi welkom, gigantisch is het meer! Bijna 40KM lang en een paar honderd meter breed.
Na een korte wandeling over het strand kwamen we één van vele nagedachtenis bordjes tegen met daarop een prachtige en oh zo waarheidsgetrouwe tekst.
"The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it - basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them."
Na deze prachtige tekst te hebben gelezen en een lekker wandeling gemaakt te hebben langs het prachtige meer gingen we een kijkje nemen bij een oud campertje wat daar langs het strand geparkeerd staat. Buiten staan mooie handgemaakte beeldjes uitgestald van een vriendelijk monster genaamd Nessie. We nemen een kijkje bij de beeldjes en al snel zien we een krantenknipsel met daarin een verhaal van een jongeman die in 1991 zijn huis, zijn vriendin en zijn baan heeft opgegeven om een levenslange zoektocht te starten naar het monster van Loch Ness. Er hangt zelfs een kaartje van het Guinness Book of World Records met de tekst, langste zoektocht naar het Loch Ness monster met de naam Steve Feltham.
Kort hierna gaat de deur open van het campertje en daar staat hij dan, in levende lijve, Steve Feltham, de enige echte, meest toegewijde Nessiehunter ter wereld.
Als je het hebt over een Free Soul, dan is dit er één van. Deze vriendelijke man verteld ons dat hij 32 jaar geleden is begonnen en hier nooit mee zal stoppen. Hij maakt de Nessie beeldjes met de hand met stenen van het strand om zijn leven te bekostigen. Met een houtkacheltje in zijn campertje aan het meer van Loch Ness.
Deze plek staat al heel mijn leven, zo lang als ik me kan herinneren op mijn verlanglijstje om te bezoeken en ik snap nu waarom. Wat zwemt hier rond? Ik begrijp Steve volkomen. Als je langs de rand van het meer staat en over het water kijkt, vraag je je af waar deze mythe vandaan komt. Het meer is zo groot en zo diep dat hier van alles kan leven onderwater wat wij nog nooit hebben gezien.
Toen wij aankwamen was het bewolkt en grijs, een erg mystiek sfeertje zoals te zien op de eerste foto. Wij werden echter blij verrast toen plotseling, uit het niets de zon achter de wolken verscheen en het water in onze richting prachtig verlicht werd.
Ik zal deze dag nooit meer vergeten. Een levenslange droom is uitgekomen, ik heb aan het meer van Loch Ness gestaan, turend over het water op zoek naar een glimp van Nessie en heb dit alles met de liefde van mijn leven mogen delen ❤️.

hoihoi! Hoop dat dit niet heel raar is hahahaha, maar ik ben dus op dit moment aan het dealen met een breakup verwerken dus ik probeer heel erg om expres van de kleine geluksmomentjes te genieten. En ik zag vandaag 2x een post van je waarin je zei dat je blij was en het had over de leuke dingen die er vandaag waren/die je had meegemaakt en idk het geeft me gewoon echt hoop dat het ook weer zo gaat worden voor mij :)) zeg maar die positiviteit op mijn dash is een van mijn geluksmomentjes vandaag <3
Wilde dat gewoon even laten weten! Hoop dat je nog een hele fijne avond hebt 💐💐
