i do love the libby app but it really sucks that if u get logged out of the app all of your tags and saved things will just be gone bc it saves it to the specific device and not your account... so all of my tags and books/audiobooks I had saved are just gone with no way to get them back.... why the fuck is it like that??? I just have to start completely over 🙃

#it doesnt sync your tags across your whole account for some reason...#i could probably get some back by syncing it with the website on my laptop but it wouldn't be up to date...#it would only be matching up to the last time i synced it w my laptop which was months ago #so thats pointless anyway...#😭😭😭😤🙃#this is literally so fucking stupid that it works like this...#libby app #~

The evening had turned into night and the night was about to turn into dawn. Adrenaline from the case had kept the two men up, but now it was serotonin.

"That was... bloody fantastic!", John exclaimed with a wide smile.

"It was.", Sherlock smiled back at him.

They had decided to walk for a while and were now crossing the Millennium Bridge. When Sherlock peeked over the edge, an idea came to him.

"We should throw stones in the Thames.", he said with a sparkle in his eyes.

"Throw... stones... You mean skipping stones?", John laughed at him.

"Yes, that. Come on!" And without a second thought Sherlock grabbed his hand and they ran down to the shore.

With expertise deduction skills Sherlock picked the best skipping stones, whereas John grabbed them at (almost) random. They threw the stones and challenged each other until the dawn was turning into sunrise.

"Sherlock! Look!", John held out a rock. It was black but a big piece was missing, so you could see the inside. It was the color of white marble, but it had a swirl of orange, red, and blue in it.

Sherlock was confused. "A rock. What's so special about it?"

"It is gorgeous, that is!", John let it glide into his pocket.

"Are you keeping it?", Sherlock asked, still with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"One: it is special. Two: it is beautiful. Three: it reminds me of you.", John explained and winked.

Thirty years later, John still kept the stone in their room and Sherlock the memory, not only in his mind palace but also in his heart.

Just wanted to say, Oathbringer has some really heavy themes.

I absolutly love your blog and your thoughts, and I am so excited to see your interpretations of some of the events! I really respect you analysis!

That being said, there have been times where I have had to take a break during Oathbringer. I just wanted to say that if you have to take a break, return the book, and then come back to it later, that is okay! We will all still be here later!

I am also so glad that you like my interpretations and analysis ! (I mean, I do do it for fun, but it's always nice to get confirmation from people that have come farther than you yourself haha feeds a bit into my ego ngl XD )

It's actually been really interesting for myself too because at my first readthrough I didn't think that much about kaladin (since I was too busy kissing the floor shallan walks on lol), I mainly dismissed my mixed feelings towards him due to the reluctant hero archetype he embodies that I don't really like. it's only after the end of wor (that fucking moash scene 😭) that I went slightly feral for his arc. *slaps his left ass cheek* this bad boy can fit so many parallels.

now I can actually pinpoint *why* Kal is my least favorite pov character (cuz I'm afraid that hasn't changed lol)! which is cool. I was a bit nervous at first since my interpretation of him isn't necessarily the most charitable (especially considering this is literally a kaladin sideblog 💀) but I'm glad that people seem to agree or at least find it interesting <3 I really love it when people somehow engage with my analysis (tags, answers, asks, rbgs, etc, be it to agree or disagree) and I do try to always respond (though sometimes it takes a bit bcs i need to translate word vomit into sth actually coherent or I haven't really thought about it before)

I have also been told multiple times by now that I need to read row, which I am hyped about !! ^^

wow. okay. I feel like that went away from me for a bit. I apologize for that lol

the two weeks are actually because I'm listening to everything on Libby, and you can't really extend the stormlight books because they are so popular. with words of radiance for example (which I bought, bc for some reason that is the only book in the series that isn't available at my library??) I took about a month I think, so almost double that haha

but I thought it over and I'm probably gonna either make a free trial run at bookbeat or sth so I can listen to it with more calm or just straight up buy it as well. rushing through oathbringer specifically will probably be no good rip

I've actually recently discovered popcorn thrillers so I'm taking breaks from oathbringer by reading some relaxing *checks note* patricide and child kidnapping!

Lock Screen is Kaoru Sakurayashiki from SK8 the Infinity. He's wearing a tiger kimono cause it was an art for Lunar New Year last year. (That's the reason why 2022 is there in the top left hand corner.) Link to art here.

Home Screen is a mess. 😂 I don't do multiple pages, so I cram all the apps I use often into one screen. Most used app includes Libby, Podcast Republic, and Discord. The doe patronus is my home screen pic. Has been for the past decade or so. I don't remember where I gotten it from, but it has traveled with me through my many phone upgrades.

Last image saved was me taking a picture to send to a friend. It's the drive-thru line for In and Out at 12:20 am on a Friday night. (Technically, it's a Saturday since it was passed midnight. 😂 ) At that point, I was already in line for twenty minutes and there were still so many cars ahead of me.

Last song listened to is John Paul White's ' The Long Way Home.' Since Taylor Swift released her version of 'Safe and Sound', I've been on a The Civil Wars/Joy Williams/John Paul White binge. (Have you heard the new song???? Joy's vocals!!!! It's louder and more haunting. I just love her voice and I am so sad I missed my one chance to see the Civil Wars live together. 😭)

Last Show/Currently Watching: Lmfao lots and LOTS of Spongebob- 😭 (though I cannot really watch past liiikeeee season 10 or 11?? because that's when it gets cringe, overstimulating w the animation and sounds, and becomes very much a KIDS show that's just a little dumb, poorly-written, and immature)... Also very, very, VERY slowly but surely making it through CBS' Beauty and the Beast (1987) because it's my self-indulgent MILF Era comfort show.

Currently Reading: Been listening to a lot of audiobooks at work lately (Libby is a GODSEND)! Currently listening to Thistlefoot by GennaRose Nethercott and Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett - I'm enjoying both so far! In terms of physical books, I got class textbooks, but I'm about halfway through Solita by Vivien Rainn (aka the fucking awesome @vivienrainn!), which has been such a delight to read!

Current Obsession: Currently in that calm between hyperfixations lmao, so i've no single obsession atm. A combo of writing my stories (especially TMATB and the Eldritch Little Mermaid WIP - which has been going through huge developments, for a school assignment!) and school assignments have been taking up about 99% of my brainspace rn... literally no thoughts, head empty. ;_;

I have MANY favorite moments in Dogfight but one of my very favorites has to be at the very end, when Eddie has just returned home and he’s talking to some men across from Rose’s diner.

He asks about her and one of the men says something along the lines of “Her? She ain’t no prize.”

And the camera pans back to Eddie as he looks out the window and sees Rose outside of the diner and you can see it in his eyes that all he’s thinking is “but she’s all I want” 😭😭

Oh. My. Gosh. I just finished the Inheritance Games and dang that book was good

**SPOILERS**

Here are some of my thoughts:

(sorry if I misspell a name, I listened to it through an audiobook)

-Im obsessed with Xander, like he is totally my favorite Hawthorne

-I honestly have no idea who’s team I’m on. Like I like her and Jameson but her and Grayson are cute too

-I love that it took place in Texas 🥰 (my state)

-When they said “Texas High Society” I just- ok

- I get such bad vibes from Nash for whatever reason I really don’t know, he was just TOO good

-Libby annoys me to no end

-Max is such a good friend and honestly so cute with the way she replaces the curse words

-Alisa (is that how you spell her name? I always imagined it with an E for whatever reason, anyways it’s the Laywer) is so amazing, I love her and for a while I thought she would be the bad guy

- I figured out the “Harry being really important“ part pretty early on in The book so Im so proud of myself ahah

-I’m not really disappointed with the ending, the Way Avery was chosen, but I’m not thrilled. But it’s whatever

-I heard that they are making a tv series out of this??? I’m totally going to be fan casting this for the next month don’t mind me

-All I can think of when I think of Libby is that girl from Tiktok with the blue hair who does the Karen videos aldkfkd

-I have a full on HATRED towards Emily. I knew I hated her the moment I heard her name. Ugh. -A lot of times I have no tolerance for people who just never pay attention to their friends needs at all, but with Avery and Max’s situation, while she should have been more caring and a better friend, I’m excusing her because She did have a crap ton on her plate. But so did everyone else.

-Grayson Hawthorne is so hot

-Again I am OBSESSED with Xander he’s just so adorable

-Can I go to the country day school? Like please? Their uniforms seem so cute
