When I started watching a league of their own last year, I had no idea the journey to self discovery I would end up on.

I’ve been attracted to girls in my life, but had never fully worked out that this is what that was. Having grown up in the intense homophobia and misogyny of the 2000s, which was in every tv show and movie, I never ever saw myself on screen, never saw women loving women, never saw lesbians even existing outside of bate for the male gaze.

A league of their own was so special as it finally portrayed all of us. We finally saw loving lesbian relationships AND set in a time that we never see even focused on women.. let alone lesbians!!

There was so much potential for this show to explore even more than it covered in its monumental first season

and more importantly FOR YOUNG QUEER AND CLOSETED GIRLS TO FEEL SEEN!!!!

anyways yall barbie movie I loved the message, loved the jokes, loved the trans rep, I LOVED THE MOVIE! IDK HOW TF A MOVIE COULD FLOP TO DVD FROM THEATERS IN A WEEK IN THE SAME TIMESPAN AS TWO OF THE GREATEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME RELEASE LIKE? Movie is amazing, you’ve probably seen it, if you havent you maybe should.

However, don’t forget that although showing support for the movie may ensure many of the people who worked on the movie that they will continue to work on/in movies, there is a massive writers and actors strike which companies refuse to meet minimal demands of such as pay rises and a promise to not weaponize AI. These companies seriously believe that AI will write them better movies and act out better movies than people ever will. These companies are literally fucking evil and have acknowledged that a prolonged strike will financially damage thousands of people.
