Caregiver Leon S Kennedy x GN!Regressor
Leon comes home from another tiring day at work to find his baby, ready with love ane comfort.
Word count: 825
Leon was beyond tired. A long shift at work, and overtime, left him feeling like a husk as he walked up the stairs to your shared apartment. Step after step, he felt like his body wanted to sink into the earth. He took a deep breath as he reached the door to the apartment, not wanting to bring you down with him in his tired misery. Leon prepared himself to put on a brave, nothing-is-wrong face as he unlocked the door.
And then he saw you.
You were snuggled up on the couch with a blanket wrapped around your shoulders, a few plushies scattered around you as you watched a cartoon on tv. Your attention snapped to the door as it opened, and you looked up at Leon with all the wonder in the world.
It melted Leon’s soul. All the pressures of work, all the tiredness, all the bad thoughts that had been gnawing on him all day, suddenly vanished. All that was left was love for you, his little one.
Leon smiled, closing the door behind him and turning the lock, he always made sure to lock the door before he did anything else. He took a few steps toward you and your smile grew behind your pacifier.
“Hey, bright eyes. Sorry I’m late.” Leon reached his arms out to you as he sat down next to you, and you couldn’t help but jump into his arms. He chuckled into your hair as you wrapped your arms around his neck, happy to have your Leon finally, after missing him all day.
You mumbled something into your paci and Leon gently took it from your mouth so you could speak more clearly. “Missed you.” Was all you said before you went back to nuzzling into him.
Leon let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding and breathed in deeply, feeling his lungs expand with love and safety, a safety he only really feels when he’s with you.
“Missed you more, sweetheart. Did you get into any trouble while I was gone?”
You giggled, shaking your head no. “I’ve been good! Just lonely.”
“Well, I’ve got tomorrow off. It’ll just be me and you, all day.” Leon looked down at you and you peered up at him, and he could swear he saw all the stars in the sky in your eyes.
Leon leaned down and placed a kiss on your temple. You let out a sign at his affectionate touch, feeling secure in his strong arms. You knew nothing in the world could be that bad as long as Leon was by your side, and he was learning to believe that too.
Leon leaned back against the couch and pulled you into his lap. You rested your hands on his shoulders to steady yourself, surprised at the sudden movement. Once you got settled, you smiled at him, completely lovedrunk.
“Sorry, baby, I just wanted you closer.” Leon always wanted your weight on him. He never felt relaxed under a weighted blanket like you did, but the pressure of your weight was the exact relief he needed.
“Thas okay.” You said as you rested your head on his shoulder, nuzzling your face into the nape of his neck. “Love bein’ close to you.”
Leon kissed your hair before resting his cheek on the top of your head. The two of you stayed that way for a while, long enough that the sun on the wall drifted down to the floor. Leon soon heard your breath get heavier, and then small snores followed.
He thought about moving you to the bed so you could get proper rest, but he really didn’t want to lose his perfect little security blanket. So instead, he pulled your blanket a little higher on your shoulders and pulled you impossibly closer to his chest, careful not to wake you.
Leon was tired from work, and even more drowsy from the cuddles, so he decided he had earned a little rest. He closed his eyes, only for a moment, but before he knew it, he was off to dreamland along with you. Though this time, it was a dreamless sleep for him, something he desperately needed but rarely got. He swore you were magical, an angel sent from a heaven he didn’t even believe in, because with you was the only calm rest he got, even if it wasn’t often.
You woke up sometime after the sun had fully set, leaving you and Leon in the glow of the tv light alone. You blinked a few times before your blurred vision became clear, and you admired your Leon’s face up close, peace clearly written on his features as he slept.
You decided playtime could wait until later, and that tv wasn’t so important right now. You laid your head against Leon’s chest once more, listening to the steady rhythm of his sleepy heart, which slowly lulled you back to sleep.

It's not to much at all! I'm sorry if this answer was a bit late, I was actually thinking about this kinda thing. I hc Leon as flip so honestly this is the perfect excuse for me to talk more about him hehehe. That being said...

When it comes to Leon as a caregiver, I feel like how he acts is based on your regressed age and pet space. For instance, if you were in the 0-3 headspace, he would be a LOT more mother-henish then if you were in a 5-7 headspace.
Also, I feel like he's already a cat person, so taking care of a kitten pet regressor is amazing for him. It low-key helps him relax after missions because he all he has to worry about it making sure his little kitty is alright and spending time with them. < 3
In general he tries to be as attentive as possible, but his work does get in the way sometimes, and he finds it frustrating.
When he is home and doesn't have work to do, he could easily spend all day cuddling or playing with you. You want to color? He's already got the crayons. You want to play? He's got the toys. You want to just snuggle? Bro is already in the pile of blankets with your favorite stuffie.
When he isn't home, he texts to check in whenever he can. And if he can't text you himself, he has Hunnigan or Claire relay his message for you so you know he's okay.
He can be kind of strict sometimes, mainly with safety and health stuff. For instance, he doesn't let you have too many sweets before big meals and doesn't let you cook on the stove by yourself. Stuff like that.
Don't get me wrong though, you give him 'the eyes' (tm) and he folds like a lawn chair.
He spoils you absolutely ROTTEN. He's got that secret DSO agent money, so anything your little heart wants he gets you.
A play room? Done.
A fluffy bed to curl up in? Already in his cart.
A cute collar that you saw on pinterest one time? Yep he got it for you.
That pretty set of ears and a clip on tail that you wanted but couldn't afford? Consider it snatched.
He uses gift giving to help show you he loves you, is what I'm saying.
He loves to pick you up and carry you around.
If you ask, he'll probably set up a pet bed or playpen near his desk so you can spend time with him while he has to do mission reports and stuff.
The first time you regressed fully around him and curled up in his lap he almost cried.
If you don't live together or you are both traveling somewhere, he keeps a bag of your regressing stuff with him in case you slip or anything.
At first he was really worried about being able to properly care for you, but over time he grew to be more confident and eases into things.
If you start making biscuits while cuddling with him it is OVER he WILL snuggle you and you will NOT be able to leave for AT LEAST an hour. He just thinks it's so cute.
Would absolutely pet your head as a stim. Like he's focused on a mission report and it's stressing him out, and you're sitting next to his office chair just playing or something and he just reaches down and starts petting your head without realizing it. The physical contact helps him.
Has way to many boxes of bandaids and such. Bro is PARANOID and PREPARED.
If you slip in public and he notices, he'll try to get you somewhere safe or at least keep a close eye on you.
Very protective of his regressor. If anyone DARED to even look at you a little funny he is hugging you to his chest and glaring daggers from across the room.
Let's be honest he would probably do that baby talking thing. You know the one. The one that pet owners do with their animals. He'll just pet your head and be like 'awww da lil kitty havin fun?' And he gets hella embarrassed if anyone catches him doing it.

arthur regresses because of uther, pretty self explanatory. he has a ton of anxiety around being the heir to the throne and doing a good job, so sometimes he just. has to let it all go
leon discovered that arthur regresses completely by accident. he was out on a ride one day and found arthur by a creek playing with frogs. he watched for a few minutes while arthur trudged through the water and picked up frogs, snails, minnows, whatever he could get his lil fingies on until he just couldn't stand not knowing anymore
he caught arthur off guard, and arthur Did Not run away and hide. absolutely not. that's ridiculous
(leon found him over a hill hiding behind a rock. it took him a long time to get arthur to come back out and talk to him)
after arthur explains that his head sometimes feels fuzzy and distant, and he feels like a child, leon just...tries to find subtle ways to help him. sneaks fruits he knows arthur likes, finds little toys that arthur can play with, rough-houses with him, just all these little things that build up to arthur kind of...clinging
the moment arthur starts feeling small, he runs off toward leon. most of the time he wants to play, so they'll play with the toys leon gets, but a lot of times they go on horse rides
they'll take leon's horse. arthur at the front, and leon riding behind him with the reigns. arthur will just point out everything he sees, and they'll make tons of stops so he can look at the bugs or flowers
arthur picks lots of flowers and gives them to leon, who. is not crying. absolutely not
