uhh heres a little color guide i made!!,, i mainly just use orange and blue so 'picking' colors isnt something im super good at, but once u have a palette this is what i tend to do!

Hey David... I wanted to ask if you had any videos to recommend about digital painting... basically videos on how you do your thing or started. I also tried out the brushes and everything else you shared the other day, they're awesome thank you so much.

not to be basic but it's always gonna be loish + yuumei, simply because. just look at their art. I also love this youtube channel (EDIT: hold on they have a tumblr @vanguv ????? i'm gonna yell how have I never thought to check this) and their sunstalker animatics because holy shit I'm !!!!! and lemoncholy,,,,, the bird film,,,,, there may have been tears

everything :') but recently been really digging into line work (also bc I hope it'll improve the edges in my paintings), colour (as always), and composition

Words: What book made you love reading?
I don’t remember a single book making me love reading in general. My parents were always very big on books and reading and spent a lot of time reading me and my sisters stories. But what I do remember making me love to read about history was this book of world history timelines my mom ordered for us when I was 7. I would pore over it for hours. I looked through it so often that it eventually fell apart.
Epilogue: If you could rename any book, what would it be?
The Lemoncholy Life of Annie Aster by Scott Wilbanks
I have no idea what I would rename it though. I’ve just never cared for the title, though I did really enjoy the story.

3. What’s a book that’s been on your to-read list for a long time?
Oh man, a lot (it took the incentive of a Netflix series to finally make me read anything in the Shadow and Bone series). But I’ll say Cloud Atlas now. I watched the movie last year and loved it but alas, the book gathers dust on my shelf. Maybe once I finish my Harry Potter re-read in a couple of months!
6. What was your favourite series as a kid? Would you still read it now?
When I was in elementary/middle school, I was really into the Lily series, by Nancy Rue. They were a series of faith-based YA books about a girl named Lily Robbins. I don’t know if I’d be up to re-reading the whole series now (14 books is a daunting prospect), but I’d love to re-visit some of my favorites—I remember particularly enjoying the one in which she joins a Shakespeare club at school.
9. What’s a book you want to buy?
I’m currently on the lookout for any copies of the illustrated Harry Potter series, but I don’t wanna just order them online because that ruins the fun lol.
17. Historical fiction: yea or nay?
Definite yea! I’m a big fan of historical fiction. I’m actually reading one right now: The Lemoncholy Life of Annie Aster. It deals with time travel and is set partly in 1895, partly in 1995.

By now you all know Momma Kitty. She isn’t feeling well tonight. Hasn’t eaten today or had water. She’s got some yucky worm thing. I sent out a stool sample and have an appt with a mobile vet, here at the house, on Thursday. “Furry friends “were kind enough to stay past 4 for me to arrive with her sample and open a file on her. Got to talk to the vet, who seems very dedicated. When they asked her named, i paused. I’ve wanted to give her a proper name for awhile. Momma kitty was good when she was out in the wild , pregnant and taking care of babies. Now she’s in a new phase of life. No longer feeding babies, running wild or being alone. She’s being cared for, spoiled and loved. So please meet, Hani. In Arabic, Hani, means strength. In Hawaiian it means, to move lightly. And she’s a pillar of strength. She’s been thru a lot. She’s both of this. I can’t move fast around her. It’s slow and quiet. I respect this. She needs that. Hani it is. Please send love for her to take her meds easily as she’s ignored her food with meds all night ❤️ (at Lemoncholy's Studio)
