What's your favorite thing about Belos? Do you have any headcanons about him? Also, I love your art and how you draw him!
My favorite thing... Should I pick just one? Well, if we're talking about the look, it's his hair. If we're talking about the temper, it's his hardworking
And here are my headings about him. I'll start with the most common ones, and end with personal ones that I haven't seen from anyone yet:
1. Belos is a retrained left-hander. He holds all the instruments with his left hand, but writes with his right, since it was previously believed that left-handers subject to devilish influence.
2. Phillip's mother was burned on charges of witchcraft. Perhaps little Philip even had to witness this terrible scene.
3. Belos was often ill at the beginning of his journey through BI. And I'm not talking about a curse, but about local infections, to which he had no immunity. Over time, his body adapted, and later the curse itself began to neutralize all poisons and infections.
4. Belos really had fun while communicating with the Collector. These two have the dynamics of a king and a jester, and the jester is allowed to interact with the king as equals, making fun of him, giving advices, and generally talking to him as a friend. Thanks to this feature, a trusting relationship was often built between the king and the jester. With Collector Belos could afford himself to forget he was an emperor and just chat about whatever came to mind.
Perhaps Belos could even tell Collie details of his life that he could not discuss with anyone else. He was going to get rid of the kid anyway and didn't allow them to have contact with the outside world, so there was no need to worry about spilling something to anyone.
5. It was Belos who built the portal door. This headcanon even has confirmation in Philip's diary, where one of the pages depicted scheme of this very door
6. The picture of the witches dancing around the campfire is based on one of Belos' real memories. I'm sure witches have such parties/rituals, and Belos was a witness to them. I like this massive wall of fire and it seems to me that it is somehow connected with the fire that occurred during the battle of the brothers
7. Some people think that Belos doesn't eat anything other than palismen, but I headcanon that he still eats normal food, it's just that his diet is severely limited due to his inability to digest most of the foods of the demon realm
8. Little Philip didn't allow anyone except his brother to touch his head and hair. This is the intimate area
9. Belos wrote a huge number of magic books. It is unlikely that this person was limited to only one diary. To keep order in the covens and teach witches the "correct" use of magic, books and guides were needed. So Belos wrote at least a book for each coven, but I'm sure there are many more. Maybe even Belos signed some of them with pseudonyms.
It is possible that some of his works have survived and are still used to this days for an in-depth study of a certain type of magic.

Here's something I think about a lot.
Calliope is left-handed.
Caliborn is right-handed.
Now, bear in mind that the left hand is controlled by the right hemisphere of the brain and the right hand is controlled by the left hemisphere. In popular culture, the right hemisphere of the brain is associated with femininity and creativity, while the left is associated with masculinity and rigid applications of rules. Let's ignore the fact that this isn't actually how the brain works, because it's irrelevant for the purposes of this discussion -- the point is that it's pretty clear that Calliope is intended to be "right-brained" and Caliborn is intended to be "left-brained". In fact, Caliborn is SO left-brained as to have impairments in areas that are stereotypically associated with the right brain, such as art.*
If we wanted to, we could even take this literally and speculate that Calliope's consciousness is localized mostly in the right side of their brain and Caliborn's in the left. This would fit in well with the cherubs' themes of duality.
I have two headcanons about this that are not particularly compatible with each other:
Headcanon 1:
All juvenile cherubs have one right-handed consciousness localized to the left brain and one left-handed consciousness localized to the right brain. Fully integrated adult cherubs gain access to the full functionality of the brain and are ambidextrous, with perhaps a slight preference for the side of the body that won out.
Headcanon 2:
Calliope and Caliborn's body as a whole is left-handed. This works out well for Calliope, who has access to the right side of the brain and thus full control over the left hand. Caliborn, however, doesn't have access to the areas of the brain that would allow him fine-grained control over the left hand, so he's forced to use the non-dominant right hand as if it were his dominant hand. This partially explains why he has so much trouble drawing -- he's no more adept with his right hand than a left-hander would be! This theory admittedly doesn't make the most sense, but it does have the benefit of being very funny to me.
* He also has language impairments while Calliope does not, which is curious because the language centers are typically located in the left hemisphere. Except… in left-handers, these language areas are actually sometimes localized to the right side of the brain instead. I doubt this was deliberate, but still, it's even more support for the crackpot theory of Caliborn being in the unfortunate position of being a left-brained cherub in a left-handed body.

✏️ Do you prefer traditional art or digital to relax?
not sure which emoji this was, but I've already answered the first question
Traditional. I love getting and trying various art materials, and having good sketchbooks. I already spend too much time on my PC, all life is basically there, so there's need to distract, at least a bit (watching refs on screen is quite enough). Also I enjoy something... more physical. Like a book full of my own works, maybe it's like an album with photos of one's own kids that is a pleasure to watch from time to time (really try to avoid separate sheets whenever possible, even thought of getting A3 sketchbook but it's crazy huge).
I also enjoy basic academic lessons, hatching and stuff (guess it's because I wasn't traumatized by postsoviet art school as a kid).
There's an old beat up Wacom tablet lying under the table - my ex's who didn't need it because she got an ipad. Would try it as an additional tool (ie making some refs for studies), but for now can't find time to mess with it... (the drivers are weird, not working well. It's basically set for left-handers, couldn't set it back).
🌈 Do you use more warm or cold colors?
Looking at my favorite set of pencils... I think both, everything has it's time and place. The yellows and browns are almost gone, blues and greens are gone earlier, but parts of them were just killed by sharpener (since then I don't use it at all) so I can't tell exactly. Reds are left, though.
Can't stop using plenty of black and brown. I quit adding lining everywhere long time ago, trying to do it more like a painting, yet still. Guess I just love dark/or and vivid stuff, visible contrast. Some people at the art school and in the shop told me that actually blacks and browns are the most popular, they are always gone faster when sold separately, sometimes they are more expensive than other colors. So it's not just me I guess.

Working on a TTRPG which is a sequel to my free suggestion book "Not F.A.T.A.L. but Serious!" both a tip of the hat to a notorious sh-t lord RPG from earlier (zero connection) and a favorite American but Manga comic. Was hoping I could put up the uncensored version here but it seems Tumblr still has blue noses even though it's almost like reading the best of Penthouse magazine again.
In essence it'll be erotic TTRPG play with no holds or holes barred. We are F-cking adults playing the games now, but the core properties were owned and dominated by dry corporations making "Product" that had to be G-rated. Now the "Woke" rated is far far worse. So not for kids but you can download the original here and working cover for the upcoming full RPG later.

Let WotC ruin D&D for Blackrock EFT social credit - though I advise writing your Congress + Senate reps for the tax $ they'll scream to turn a failure into profit. The best out is to support the REAL indies that do NOT Bend the Knee to woke whine-buckets.
DEMAND from your TTRPG maker and game at least one element the "Woke" will NOT tolerate. I'm not for real sexism or racism and don't care who you voted for. The world has (and always will) 1,000,001 problems... Censoring comic books, video games, movies and pandering to rainbow unicorn snowflakes from some 'safe space' at a debt factory (College) does NOTHING to help anything on that list. Here are some statements free to include for free speakers, free thinkers versus "Woke" whine buckets:

They just want you to know if your RPG maker is a rainbow unicorn snowflake who cares their woke fake politics vs anything to do with a RPG at all. Agenda vs product. Invaders. Tourists. Most of these people are vile on Twitter and (Zwei-Hander) demand you do NOT play their game unless you agree 100% with them. How in the world their books sit in PILES at major bookstore chains for years no sales but can NOT fail is beyond me - save knowing about 'short-selling' and corporate EFT.
So I advise looking for GREEN on the list, companies that care about their games and players NOT warmed over re-hashed master of the obvious "Woke" sentiment that preaches to its own choir.

How to Wear Rings according to what you
Want to achieve.

According to Magic, a ring is a symbol of power. It is associated with Time and the Wholeness because a circle is the ‘Perfect Shape’ of alchemists. The Ring is also associated with, the snake that bites its tail. Witches, Wizards and alchemists now that each finger has a special association with a magical quality. Hence, YES, it is important how to Wear Rings. Let me remind you, that we wear our wedding ring on a certain finger… and there’s a reason for that!
On which Finger to Wear Rings according to what you Pursue?
To answer that we need to remember that each finger is associate with a God / Goddess and Planet. Let’s remember this from our article of ‘Magic Rings’ before we continue.
The Fingers and their Magical Associations with Gods, Goddesses and the Planets!
The thumb holds and expresses the power of Aphrodite – Venus.
The index holds and expresses the power of Zeus – Jupiter.
the middle the power of Saturn.
the ring finger the power of Apollo – Sun
and the pinky or little finger the power of Hermes – Mercury.
Mars and Moon don’t have their fingers, so if you want to make a magic ring under their power you should wear it in a compatible finger to the purpose of the ring.
Now that we’ve seen fingers associations, let’s see what each God/Goddess-Planet is related with.
Zeus – Jupiter is associated with Education, Opportunities, Good luck, Abundance and Improvement. Hence, we choose the index finger, for all kind of material or intellectual growth and development.
Saturn is associated with Wisdom & Eternity. Hence we use the middle finger to make things last forever.
Apollo – the Sun, is associated with Happiness, Magical Arts / Prophecy, Prosperity, Fulfillment and Good Health. Apollo blesses us with a filling of perfect bliss. This is why we use the ring finger for our wedding rings. To make our marriage happy and fulfilling!
Aphrodite – Venus, is associated with Peace, Beauty and Love. Therefore, we use the thumb to bring forth affection and satisfaction.
Hermes – Mercury is associated with Communication, Telepathy, Psychic Powers, Witchcraft, Travels and Financial transactions. Hence, we use the pinky, to promote better understanding and safe traveling and transactions. On this finger, we wear Rings to radiate our personal magic. We prefer talismanic rings like this!
Two hands, two magical Polarities
Yes, we have two – nearly identical – hands.
No, they are not the magically equal according to Witches.
If we are right-handed, most usually the Right Hand is the projective – masculine – yang one. We use this hand to send a message to the universe. To project something to this world. Or maybe, to affect something out there.
Also, if we are right-hander, most usually the Left Hand is the receptive – feminine -yin one. We use this hand to receive energy.
If we are left-handed this usually is reversed. Hence, our right hand is receptive and left hand is projective.
For many people this is not easily applicable as they use both hands for both reasons. Both hands are equally receptive and projective.
How to Wear Rings
We should probably start with an example: Let’s say that we want better sex life. We would probably use the Thumb. Now, as we saw before, the thumb is associated with Aphrodite – Venus hence we want to use a ring which is made by either metal or stone or color which corresponds to Venus. A ring made of an alloy copper and/or has emerald on. This will boost our purpose.
Now, lets see what metal corresponds to each finger – planet.
Zeus – Jupiter & index finger, is associated with tin. Moreover, Gems and stones associated are Sapphire, Topaz, Amethyst and all blue stones.
Saturn & middle finger is alchemically associated with lead. Moreover, Gems and stones associated are Obsidian, Lapis Lazuli and all black stones (like Onyx).
Apollo – the Sun,& ring finger is associated with Gold! Moreover, Gems and stones associated are Ruby, Garnet and Opal and all yellow stones.
Aphrodite – Venus & the thumb is associated with copper. Moreover, Gems and stones associated are Carnelian, Rose Quartz, Emerald, Rhodochrosite and Malachite (along with Jupiter and Saturn).
Hermes – Mercury & the pinky, is associated with quicksilver (which is poisonous and liquid hence we cannot and should not use it) and silver (which actually is associated with the Moon but due to it’s nature we can use it for ANY other substitute). Moreover, Gems and stones associated with Mercury is Amber, Citrine, Peridot, Zircon (which can be coloured as we wish) Smokey Quartz & Rhodochrosite.
Important Tip: As it is highly unlikely to make a ring made of copper, we use silver as a substitute for any other metal (except from Gold). Silver is witches most favorite metal because it’s highly magical and we can charm it in any way we want.

Hi anon! My first instinct was to think of fandom/art related facts since that's mainly what I use tumblr for but I tried to make it more random :D
I was born left handed but was forced to switch to my right (parents' cultural superstition considered left handers badluck). I didn't actually remember this and only found out freshman year of highschool when I started playing sports left handed and got confused. And mom was like oh yea you were a lefty lmao
I'm mildly allergic to pineapple and pistachios. I still eat them anyway 😅
My favorite season is winter. LOVE snow/cold, despise being hot.

He Replaced Mickey Mantle. Now Baseball’s Oldest Living Major Leaguer, Art Schallock, Is Turning 100

San Francisco (AP) — Whether at home or on the road, Art Schallock would begin each day by taking the elevator down to the lobby and collecting the latest comic books for roommate Yogi Berra.
“Every morning,” Schallock recalled, chuckling at the thought decades later.
Schallock never minded. It was all worth it.
Just part of being the new guy back in the day, a rite of passage for the latest big leaguer getting promoted. Schallock got the call in 1951, replacing future Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle when the New York Yankees optioned the then-19-year-old to Triple-A. Schallock, then 27, roomed with Berra and was tasked with picking up Berra’s daily delivery of “funnies” as they called them.
The oldest living former major leaguer, Schallock turns 100 on Thursday and is being celebrated in the Bay Area and beyond as the milestone approaches.
The baseball memories are still plenty fresh.
“That was quite a thrill, quite a thrill playing with those guys,” Schallock shared in a video call. “I roomed with Yogi Berra when I got up there and he knew all the hitters. We went over all the hitters on each team. Besides that, I had to run down to the lobby and get his funny books. Every morning. Yogi knew all the hitters, how to pitch to them, whether it’s low, high or whatever, he knew how to pitch to them. And I had to learn from him.”

The Bay Area native went to Tamalpais High in Mill Valley then College of Marin before becoming the 10,823rd major league player when he debuted on July 16, 1951. He pitched 2 2/3 innings for the Yankees that day at Detroit, then earned his first career win exactly one month later at Washington.
The left-hander won three World Series rings from 1951-53, although he only pitched in the ‘53 Series, retiring Brooklyn’s Jackie Robinson during a two-inning outing in Game 4. He went 6-7 with a 4.02 ERA over five seasons in 58 games and 14 starts with the Yankees and Orioles.
He still wears one of those World Series rings regularly on his pitching hand.
“Here’s a game that I loved, I really enjoyed it and loved the game of baseball and they pay you for it. What more can you ask for?” Schallock said. “I wish I was playing today and getting the salaries that they get, but that’s the way it goes.”
Schallock shakes his head and smiles about the money. He signed with the Dodgers for $5,000, and if he lasted past June 1 he received another $5,000 payment.
“When I got out of the service, I went to junior college for a couple of years and pitched baseball there and then I pitched semi-pro in San Francisco and made a name for myself and Brooklyn signed me,” he shared.
Schallock still has some years to go to set any kind of age records. Negro Leagues pitcher Si Simmons of the 1926 New York Lincoln Giants lived to 111, while another ex-Yankees pitcher, Red Hoff, reached 107.
Though Schallock has a hard time hearing these days, he relishes every chance to chat about baseball. And he offers no real secrets to his longevity — no strict exercise regimen or special diet.

“Stop having a drink, have two,” he said, laughing. “That’s all I was allowed to drink before dinner, that was it, my wife cut me off. Vodka over the rocks with a little splash of water, vodka and water and a little ice. Only two. I also had a few beers.
"(Yankees manager) Casey Stengel always had beer in the clubhouse after the game. He’d rather see you drink in the clubhouse rather than some bar. ‘Cuz two or three of you go in the bar and sit down, the fans think you’re a drunk because you’re sitting in a bar, so you drink in the ballpark.”
Of course, there’s been some good fortune along the way to make it to 100.
Serving for the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Ocean during World War II after enlisting in 1942, Schallock narrowly escaped harm when the neighboring aircraft carrier USS Liscome Bay was sunk by a Japanese torpedo in November 1943 and 644 were killed — accounting for the majority of the casualties in the Battle of Makin.
“I never thought I would get back to the highest level. I wanted to play baseball, yes,” he said. “I did it in junior college. In those years, the Bay Area was full of baseball. When I say full of baseball, semi-pros. Every town had a team.”
Schallock has been signing his share of baseballs leading up to joining the rare centenarian club. They will throw him a party at his assisted living facility, Cogir On Napa Road Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Perhaps find him an agent now given all the fanfare?
“It’s too late,” Schallock said, laughing, “it’s too late.”
