Lunch at @dock27... the ambiance is the best thing about this place. It was dreamy, pirate inspired theme with dim lights, beautiful art pieces and antique decor. It had a calm feel though was occupied at the time I went there. Menu has good variety of continental dishes. I ordered chicken roulade with mint margarita whereas my friends opted for burgers. Food was great in presentation, though I found the cutlery a bit impractical. It was heavy. It was a generous serving with good taste. Service was quick and accurate. There are so many beautiful memories associated with this place. PC once seemed home. I visited the 'Marco Polo' restaurant after ages for hi-tea hosted by my workplace. It was nostalgia looking at the same kind of decor and chandeliers there. I was quite hungry and was expecting some quality food. However food was quite a disappointment for many reasons. It was low variety of dishes, mostly scattered components of the same dish. The taste and quality was compromised. I don't remember of wishing to refill any of the food items a second time. Drinks were only 2 kinds of 'sharbats' which did not go well with tea time. These could be suitable for a breakfast. It was only mix tea with such poor presentation on a distant table. I felt like I was in a marriage hall as tea was spilled around with used cups on the table and no tea spoons. Desserts had the same issue. No variety and just ok taste. Mostly it was local mithai items. The only dessert worth enjoying was French toast with a variety of toppings. Though I still feel it was more of a breakfast dish. Service was also a disappointment. Food wasn't refilled once finished. Plates were not removed from tables for long.
