ok, follow up because its probably up there with the great questions of life, what is the video SUPPOSED to be. like what Happens. i ask all this in sincere earnest, i mean that, im so curious.
here’s a play-by-play:
it is a split screen tiktok. on the left side, a keith cosplayer. on the right, a haggar cosplayer.
haggar holds a piece of paper with “i control the paladins” written on it up to the screen. keith, arms crossed, shakes his head.
as haggar pulls the paper away and begins to wave her hands around in a magical fashion, the keith cosplayer instantaneously grows boobs.
haggar begins to dance before freezing as the keith cosplayer suddenly changes into a maid costume and begins dancing.
it’s really a horrible horrible video. i’m so obsessed with it.

Orca: Her entire blog is the most AGGRESSIVELY pink thing I've ever seen
um she is my friend and her whole aesthetic is Pink Catgirl. Take one look at their blog and it's obvious. Mew loves babygirlifying every one of her favorite characters (by literally making them all girls) and will not hesitate to get attached to literally any character who is pink and supports the magic of friendship. Her irl fashion sense is ADORABLE and I love it. Mew is the embodiment of the perfect girl: cries a lot and absolutely cringefail but also slays every day and im pretty sure she is a magical girl in real life idk i haven't met mew.
I don't know what to say here, just that mew should win. A win for Orca is also a win for all the girlies mew regularly puts on my dashboard.

🔥 hmm....give me the spicy take about horror (be it horror as a whole or any subgenres u wanna dig into)
horror-comedy is so hard to get right, it's so hard but people think it's easy, people think any kind of comedy-genre blend is like. inherently a parody of whatever other genre it's part of and that's not always true! just being funny doesn't mean something is a parody!
that's why we have people still calling Shaun of the Dead a parody movie when it's been explicitly stated multiple times by the writers/director that it's not, none of their movies are parodies! and people get surprised when there's legitimate comedy in horror movies that are still like. scary!
it annoys me a lot djskfjd the assumption that being a genre blend means it's going to be a parody or more comedy than horror, as if the things that blend genre successfully aren't WILDLY effective by having great funny moments one second and ripping the rug out from under you the next

YEAH there's absolutely some buck-wild societal shit going on in the background of hatoful that doesn't really get explored because for the most part we're looking at the world through the lens of Silly Dating Simulator
it's very obviously fucked up but i would say that the world having gone through a near-extinction event for the previous dominant species and the rise of a new sapient species, as well as a world war recent enough that characters in their 20s grew up in war orphanages does help to explain, like "where the fuck are all the adults"
