30. - - as comfort (I've struggled with this one, but was inspired by the to shut them up kiss here, so this continues from that.)
You took the L to the clinic just because you know Ian likes the walk from your apartment to the nearest L stop. You have to pass a bunch of little shops that sell crystals or coffee pods or customised dog accessories. Ian calls them boutiquey. You call them bougie.
The little shops don't seem to help - even on the walk home when he's seen the doc and got his meds adjusted, been given the usual don't-worry-Ian-this-is-incredibly-common-and-things-will-settle-soon speech. Even when you casually remind him of how long the last set of meds lasted which "is really fucking awesome, Ian". None of it seems to work.
Which. Obviously.
But you'd hoped it might have at least put a smile on his face.
And when he pauses outside the vegan cafe he convinced you to try once (and there was no talking you into it, but he sure as hell used his mouth), he looks at you with a look you know and hate. A look you haven't seen since he tried to give you a fucking promise ring.
You open your mouth, but he gets there first.
"Just another version of me, huh?"
You stare at him, so many thoughts and feelings running through your head that you don't know what to say. Finally, you step closer and reach up to cup his face.
"Look at me, Ian." He does, but you can tell it's grudgingly. "Clearly my vows weren't enough to make you realise I'm in this for the long haul, sickness and fucking health, so listen up. You're fuckin' stuck with me."
He sighs. "Mickey."
"Every single goddamn version of you is stuck with me, Ian. And not a single one of them will ever succeed at pushing me away."
The breath he lets out is shaky. "Shit, Mick."
Maybe outside the vegan cafe wasn't the best place for your declaration of love if the shininess of his eyes is anything to go by, but you push on, making sure he's still looking at you.
"Love you, man. And you signed that marriage certificate, so fuck you. You're stuck."
His laugh is wet and weak. "Stuck, huh?"
"Forever."
His eyes close, and for the first time that day, he looks somewhat peaceful. You lean in, smooth his hair away from his face with your other hand, and kiss his forehead, his nose, his lips. You don't give a fuck what pretentious douchebag is around to witness it, you press your mouth to Ian's in a short but lingering kiss.
He sighs into your mouth and murmurs against your lips. "Every version is stuck with you? All of them?"
You smirk into your next kiss. "Every fucking one of them."

His body moves into yours - back against your chest, arm pulling you tight, leg pushing farther - and he ends up basically on top of you. But you can feel it. It's the desire to feel rather than start something.

He likes to sleep like that sometimes, half on top of you or you half on top of him. Like to have you so close you sometimes lose track of which limb is yours and which is his. He grinds against you, dick against your ass, and you feel your own cock twitch.
Ian.
"Got time," he mumbles, voice gravelly with sleep, "later."
Ian.
And you don't fight him on it. You let sleep take you, warm and safe in Ian's embrace, because he's right.

First Pet? My family's German Shepherd named Döme. The first pet that was mine was a guinea pig. His name was Kormos (smoky/sooty).
First Word? As if my mother remembers 😂 All I know is that my father wanted it to be dezoxiribonukleinsav (DNA, but in Hungarian).
First Celebrity Crush? 🤷
First IRL Crush? One of these days I'll need a scientific rundown of what that's supposed to feel like. I never had one, I guess?
First kiss? Sorry, this one is a skip for me. Blah.
First Car? Issss the one I still have! A 2009 Renault Clio Grandtour. My pookie (yes I am THAT person).
First apartment/house/dorm/whatever away from your parents? A small ass apartment I half lived in with someone.
First time on a plane? A family vacation when I was around... 5. It was fun! I've been totally in love with flying ever since.
First cellphone? A "hand me down" from my mother, an old... Nokia? If I remember correctly. Your typical "you're going to school and coming home on your own, here, in case you need it".
First concert? I don't remember... I'm pretty sure some kind of a rock concert though. I was raised on good music. The first one that I excitedly got tickets for on my own was when I was 15, one of my favorite bands was celebrating a birthday.
First foreign country you visited? I think it was Austria when I was a few months old!
First sport you ever played? Athletics from basically the day I could walk. Nothing specific at first, but I ended up being a good jumper and sprinter later. My true calling was probably discus/javelin/hammer, anything you can throw.
First career aspiration? It was constantly changing, but the focus point was always animals.
And finally… tell me about the first time you wrote/drew/created/whatever something that made you think "wow"
That's a tough one... maybe back when I was doing graphics extracurricular in school and we designed some background set for theatre, more specifically for an Oz play. The yellow brick road I worked on turned out pretty cool!
I used to write poems too, some weren't too horrid 👀
