i wish there was a place to drop ideas for directories off—is it okay to do it here? but for anyone who needs au ideas and is willing to actually make cool events and locations, please consider:

- a cyberpunk setting

- stardew valley and/or harvest moon

- animal crossing

- dark academia

- monster high (put it in college, idk)

- southern gothic but make it korean gothic

I hope it's okay but just wanted to share a different perspective on Christian Yu as a faceclaim as an ex-admin. Many directories choose not to allow him for the "not wanting to be rp'd" reason because there's a large number of people who would use him as a faceclaim purely for nsfw purposes which, unless you're joining a nsfw specific rp, isn't the purpose of rp. Many admins saw this as being misleading within a gen community because they were essentially using his face to write out their own nsfw fantasy's. Yes, Christian isn't the only faceclaim that people do this with and, yes, there are other instances in general where muns can't separate themselves from their muse and hide behind a faceclaim for their own fatansy (nsfw or not). There's also, in terms of being misleading overall, plenty of muns out there who don't even come close to even being half accurate with their muse. But seeing as Christian spoke out about it, a lot of people saw it from the perspective of "better to be safe than sorry" meaning he stopped being allowed in most directories.

short answer: yes.

it is honestly disheartening how volatile those blogs have become. sometimes, I think of closing this blog because of them.

maybe we can be kinder to each other?

i don’t know if this is the right place to bring it up and i don’t mean harm or shade to anybody, but i wish people cared about au/oc places like they do with generals. it was really sad to see nice places close because nobody is really interested in them as much as they are in generals. personally, i struggle in gen verses, because i hate making my account look like an update account and i feel like the strictness about following schedules and what not really kills great opportunities. people should be less scared about embracing something new and different, and creativity should roam more freely around here. 😖

There's a private post option on MeWe that most utilize for writing threads! You'd make each para reply in a new comment and it makes it simple to track with your notifications. Some communities offer groups for posting threads, and sometimes threads can be made in a public post too, in the same format that you'd post a private thread!

People can make public feed posts and comment on them in character, utilize group chats, and one on one chats for chatting ic!
