I need Sophie and Tam fighting together in a battle with the Neverseen. Like imagine everyone is battling, wielding fire, throwing up forcefields, swinging swords and daggers, when all of a sudden the entire area gets completely covered in shadows. No one can see a thing… until red lightning flashes through the room.

For the ficlet thing: Sokeefe wedding and Biana and Fitz are trying to be the planners and failing. Biana is slightly better at it than Fitz.

"No, no, no, they can't have grey."

Fitz jerked up. "What's wrong with grey?"

No amount of blinking could clear the image of her moronic brother emphasizing the ugliest shade of grey Biana had ever seen. "Because where's the excitement? Grey's boring and this is basically the wedding of the century!"

It was and it wasn't. Half of the Lost Cities couldn't imagine anything worse than the two "experiments-gone-wrong" getting married. The other half loved the gossip. Either way, the attention was ballooning.

That was why the wedding had to be perfect. Right down to the invitations.

"I think Biana's right, Fitzy," Keefe chimed in. "We gotta go bold. Make sure everyone knows that Team Foster-Keefe is becoming official! That's why I'm thinking orange is the way to go."

Biana's eye twitched. "Leave. Now."

Keefe threw his hands up and shrugged at Fitz, who looked genuinely bewildered. Biana's heart went out to whatever poor soul would have to deal with Keefe's wedding planning whenever Fitz got married. More importantly, Biana felt a stab of pain for herself, who would be hearing many more terrible suggestions over the months.

"C'mon, Foster! Don't tell me you don't dig the orange?"

Sophie snorted from her seat across the room. "You heard Biana. Go be somewhere else."

He huffed but turned and wandered away because if Keefe listened to anyone it was Sophie.

"Now, back to real suggestions," Biana grinned. "What do we think about hot pink?"

Sophie's wince was as unmissable as Keefe's laughter.

Fitz braids tiny braids all throughout Marella's hair whenever she's standing close enough. He does it absentmindedly. She's so much shorter than him (their height difference is everything to me) that he'll do it while they're both standing up and listening to the Black Swan talk strategy. Some of the braids stay without any hair ties, others unravel after a certain amount of time. He starts carrying little rubber hair bands with him everywhere he goes, all different colors.

The first time he did it, they were watching a movie with the rest of their friends and she was sitting on the floor in front of him. She had a little mishap with her ability in training, and Linh had been forced to douse her completely as damage control. Now, Marella's hair was frizzy from air-drying, and she was angrily raking her hands through the tangles. It had been a really stressful day and no one was really paying attention to her or Fitz. But even so, he was as discreet as possible when he reached out to untangle a few of the knots himself, which turned into braiding.

It felt like they were in a little bubble set apart from the rest of the room, like this was some grand and peaceful secret that no one else needed to be privy to but them.

Where did he learn to braid and expertly detangle hair, you ask?

Fallon (6'2" — ridiculously tall so his thigh-length hair is even more intimidating)

Vespera (5'11" — can wear heels but only does so to intimidate, and is honestly more intimidating if she doesn't)

Fintan (5'9" — yes he's two inches shorter than Vespera but that's just an excuse for Fintan in heels and tall hairdos)

Luzia (5'8" — also a lover of heels but it would be a safety hazard to wear ones that would put her on a height with Fallon)

If elves had texting/social media hcs:

Sophie: Kinda went over this here. horrible about getting back to ppl. Will accidentally leave you on read. Thinks she responded but didn’t. Her social media notifications are through the roof. If you need her urgently, you should probably just call. Very occasional posts.

Dex: Usually good at responding to messages, depending on how busy he is and if he’s around the triplets. Fast typist/texter. One of the few helpful ppl on Reddit.

Fitz: fast responder, usually no typos. Rarely uses shortened words or acronyms

Biana: I feel like Biana would cringe internally at misused homonyms/grammar errors, but she’d be nice about it. She types with pretty good grammar, other than the obvious texting things like acronyms, initialisms, and other word shortening things. If the elves typed in English, she’d never use the wrong ‘your’ or ‘there’ and she’s a firm believer in the Oxford comma. She’d also be a Pinterest/Instagram girlie.

Marella: types in all lowercase. knows about everything that’s happening anywhere. has all the social media. Occasionally trolls flat earthers claiming that the earth is actually shaped like a Klein bottle.

Keefe: gif city. Silliest Instagram ever. Fs blurry selfies and pictures of things him with things Sophie brought him from the forbidden cities. Yt haver. Might troll human politicians on twitter without knowing what he’s talking about. Definitely gets in on trolling the flat earthers. Claims the earth is shaped like Schrödinger’s cat (or Uranus, depending on the day).

Maruca: Probably on tiktok. Terrifying to text with if you have any kind of social anxiety and you are not close friends. Very direct texting style. Unnecessarily ends things with periods, and is a slow texter. It reads as pissed off until you get to know her. She’s an absolute riot in friend group chats. Like super funny.

Stina: If a message reads as pissed off it’s bc she is❤️ Absolutely bounces off Maruca in the gc. Stina = a voice memo person?? I also feel like yt and tiktok are her main social media. She doesn’t post on yt, but she does post on TikTok showing the work she does with unicorns. Definitely puts cuter moments on Instagram too. She and Maruca ft while going through their hair care routines.

Linh: I don’t necessarily think she would, but she has the potential to make one of the most aesthetically pleasing Instagram accounts (Linhstagram, if you will). Idk I feel like Linh would be into hiking and posting photos of that, plus her and Tam, or her and Marella. But, honestly, she probably just posts photos of her mercat😭 She also has the vibes of using the little press and hold mini responses a lot (like ❤️👍❓mostly until Tam goes off and Rayni shows up)

Tam: I feel like Tam is a bad or at least scarce texter. Maybe a gc ghost too. Everyone is surprised and excited when he responds in the gc bc he hasn’t done so in 4 months. Dude has no social media. Really only has his phone to communicate with Linh

Jensi: so much love for him, but he definitely has fast typing, lots of typos vibes. Early on in the series, he was very excitable, and the audiobook narrator makes him talk fast, so that makes me think he’d probably speed type his texts and send them without checking for typos first. Gets back to you in a snap🫰. Probably sends a lot of messages in succession when telling a story. May send videos explaining things as well, or voice memos that get off topic very fast.

Caprise/ Edaline/ Juline/ Cyrah sisterhood au

Caprise is an average elf. When Juline wants to marry Kesler, she disagrees and fights with her because they're a bad match. That's how they lose contact. When she falls off the balcony after getting involved with the Neverseen, only Juline visits her. She doesn't come by often. She's not welcomed by Durand because he thought his wife wouldn't want her there. Edaline couldn't bear to think about losing her because she had already lost Jolie, so she never visited. Cyrah is already dead.

Edaline hated Grady in school. Eventually, they became friends when they were adults and, of course, got married. She was closest with Juline growing up. She didn't agree with Juline for marrying Kesler or Caprise for being awful about it. She stayed on Juline's side until she ended up actually agreeing with her.

Juline knew Kesler growing up, and they were always good friends. She was very hurt about losing her sisters. Once Sophie came, her kids kept almost dying. It's a lasting pain.

Cyrah was a ball of sunshine. She was bright and kind. Since Prentice happened after Jolie, Grady and Edaline cut off communication because they thought she was working with their daughter's murderers. Juline believed the same back then. Cyrah died with only Wylie and Tiergan as support. The most recent time that all four sisters connected was at her funeral. They looked at Cyrah's tree, holding on to each other like they had never let go. And they didn't talk after that. Edaline rejected Wylie from living there because it hurt too much to think that she shut Cyrah out.

Random theory: Dex and Stina were childhood friends. Hear me out!

The Heks and the Dizznees were actually friends in the beginning, on the same boat with society talking shit about their marriage because one of them was talentless. Stina and Dex were shoved together to go off in play dates while the adults talked. Eventually though Vika and Timkin realized they could possibly get in better standing with nobility if they didn’t hang out with the Dizznees so they started talking shit about their family with others, eventually this ended in a big a fight and the others no longer getting along and teaching their kids that the other family was wrong, and as young impressionable kids they just went “ok.”

-One time, Sophie tried to teach herself how to make Keebler style cookies, and almost set the house on fire.

-Dex figured out how Keefe felt about Sophie before anyone else, but kept it to himself.

-One time, Fitz trashed his uniform playing base quest with Keefe and Biana, and had to wear one of Biana's skirts to school for a day.

-While Stina was bald/her hair was short, she found out how fun wearing wigs is, and now she has a collection of them.

-One time, Sophie mentioned how gossipy humans were, and now every time she hangs out with Marella, she shares all the 'human gossip' she can remember.
