and the last of the DnD first session set!

Artiom the cleric and Klarg the bugbear. Had a lot of feelings with these two due to some potential conflict, but communication really does resolve things and set them on a good path. :)

the way the starblaster is literally powered by bonds.. the way the only reason they make it out of the final hunger fight is by summoning spirits of people that want to help them... the way magnus learns the ultimate lesson from the power bear is to know when to ask for help.. the way merle stayed with the people of fungston to pray with them while their world was ending.. the way that I may not be your pan but you will always be my merle... the way the entire stolen century mechanic was built around saving people so that they can help you later.. the way june forgave jack... the way taako's destiny was based on a food truck chef overwatch player named joaquin who taught him how to make a taco... the way lucretia did what she did because she couldn't bear that the weight of their choice was hurting her family... the fact that completely cutting off the plane from the system wasn't the answer.. the way that you are going to be faced with a terrible decision but remember there is always a third option.. the way that they always joke about not being capable enough, that a competent woman has to come do it for them like... the way that the answer the whole time was to ask for help. to reach out to other people. that there is strength in numbers. that the only thing that works to combat the emptiness of oblivion is love. is each other. do you get it..

Our next hypothetical Adventure Zone fighter is in fact our big hugbear bugbear, it's Klaaaarrrrg!!

Klarg is, as you may have expected, very much a grappler. He may be big, slow, and heavy, but he's got a lot of good options under his belt considering each of his specials has a second form for if he is currently grappling a foe.

Klarg's neutral special is his bread and butter, the method through which he achieves grapples. He will pull a nearby opponent into a tight hug, and pressing the button again will cause him to squeeze, doing additional damage.

Klarg's forward special will have him hop on his motorcycle and ride forward a good distance, damaging foes in his path. If he's grappling someone at the time, he will go a shorter distance while dragging his prey along the ground, before tossing them forward at the end.

Klarg's up special causes him to leap high into the air, before plummeting down with his elbow extended, in a slight forward arc. If currently grappling, this is instead a flying suplex that doesn't go as high and instead arcs behind him, launching his prey backwards on impact.

Klarg's down special has him slowly sip at some tea. Each sip recovers a bit of health, but you can only cancel out of this move between sips. If grappling, he instead smashes a teapot over his prey's head. It won't do much damage or knockback, but will stun to set up for combos.

Klarg's finale summons his small army of gerblins to come swarm around his feet for a short time. The gerblins will do constant small hits of damage to any foes within their midst, including those currently being grappled by Klarg.

I was planning on posting this with when i draw some other characters of the podcast ( killian, carey, magical brian... ) as i was planning on going when we are introduced to them in the chapters but !! I haven't posted in awhile so...

Here's my interpretation of Klarg the bugbear ! I like to think when hes charmed he pulls his fur back to make a pony tail so then the hair doesn't fall in his tea...

That was sure an adventure. Updates! I'm on my way back to the bureau, so if I suddenly just drop this half finished, I'll be back to finish it later because I just got back and had some shit to take care of.

Anyways.

So the vined up building was a fucking fiasco and a half. Watched these dingdongs I work with try to open a locked box for like seven minutes by doing the stupidest shit I have seen, then just decided to help them to keep them from like...wasting more time or hurting themselves somehow. Made it to the top floor with some incidents I don't want to repeat because, goddesses preserve me, I would like to never see that again.

Got our asses handed to us by the person in possession of the relic. Got our asses saved by a new friend dropping in. Got our asses dragged around by said friend and came up with a plan to work with her to get the relic out of the other's possession.

Had to go steal a thing so we could finish the racing wagon to win a race and prove that the relic's power was able to be beaten. I was the first person to make it inside because the boner squad insisted upon trying their own ideas on how to break into the place, murdered a guy and went to dump the body off the cliff, then went back to actually break into the fucking place.

I helped keeping the body count to a minimum after that. We freed Klarg, the bugbear we ran into the first, like, two days I was with them. I picked the lock on the chest containing the thing we needed while Magnus, Merle, and Taako were occupying the guys in the garage we'd broken into. I'd like to think that I assisted in keeping more of these guys from dying.

I got to be in a race! There's only four to a wagon, so I ended up on my own, but I did pretty good. There was a lot of chaos, so I don't have a really firm grasp on what all happened, but there was a lot of jumping from one wagon to another, and a whole lot of beating the shit out of other people.

Also I got to fire a bomb arrow at a big metal wagon shaped like a shark.

I came in third place out of, like, twenty I think it was. There were only four wagons that made it to the end. The rest we absolutely fucking totaled because fuck you.

Taako won first because Taako is a resourceful sack of shit and had a stupid item that let him switch places with somebody else.

Just finished the second session of the first D&D campaign I've ever DM'd!!!

I think my favorite part was when the Tiefling death cleric (completely unprompted) crawled through the walls and used thaumaturgy to appear before the bugbear goblin king in a flash of fire light and a stroke of thunder only to say "Heloooo it is IIIIII."

She then proceeded to fail a deception check and get shanked by a goblin, only to be rescued by the half-orc bard, who arrived just in time to play a perfect rendition of "secret tunnels" from avatar the last Airbender while the rest of the party joined in song.

Klarg the bugbear - stricken with mirth and nostalgia - agreed to hand over the death cleric in addition to another hostage and send the party on their merry way. Lovely.

Just two dads getting together and catching up with each other about dad stuff :]

DND update actual last one lol

I got to sneak attack and I did much good hitting I got a crit and it killed the ogre

So the barbarian got laid again

The bard is leaving us for his forbidden lover

We fought the orge and some bugbears Taz had me thinking they were way different ( I was picturing comic klarg)

Found a chest of body parts

I got bracers and snek body suit armor

I got to use my embalmer check to reassemble corpses

Now the ranger and wizard and me have to go back to the changeling to drag Ba back with us
