This was something I had hoped to have finished by Anime NYC but then everything went down with Zambezi and I haven't been back to it. I was trying to make something for myself to feel happy again and motivate myself to get back to working on art. Though this isn't finished yet, it did help in getting me back to working. Notes: fantasy AU, dragon!kirishima, gn!reader, dragons have a different language from humans, which it is showing in italic, stablished relationship, fluff, smol thing sitting in my drafts for way too long.

My eyes snapped open to the imperative urge to pee. The sun hadn't rised above the horizon. The warm darkness inside the tent, and the comfortable fur covering my body didn't make it easy for me to decide whether it was worth getting up to relieve myself or not.

Eyes closed, I rolled to my side over and over, trying to fall into slumber once more and ignore the growing discomfort. I opened my eyes and found the shape of my sleeping husband beside me, his left cheek pressed against another bundle of blankets and fur as a pillow. After taking note of his peaceful snores and his cute sleepy face almost hidden under long disheveled red locks, I swallowed hard and made a decision.

My body relaxed instantly when I returned back to the warmth of the tent from the chilly wind outside. Feeling way better than when I woke up, I made my way through the travel items scattered all over the floor from yesterday's rushed camp-setting towards the bed spot.

— Ge'hria... — a low, husky voice crawled out of the blankets. It had been a few months since the first time, but my heart swelled every time he called me that. Even if our cultures were different, I could still sense how much it meant to him, and of course, it meant a lot to me too. Eijirou's hand was tapping the other side of the bed, probably looking for me.

— Ge'hria...! —he whined, and it pulled up my lips into a smile. The people in my tribe would call me insane for calling a dragon cute, but he was! To the point I just wanted to squish and pinch his cheeks at any given chance.

— Iyu a dest, Eijirou — I whispered in his home language, while sinking back into the blankets. — Iyu ib'er kœntya mi?

My husband hummed in agreement as his body shifted to lay on top of me, his muscular tail wrapping around my leg. Eijirou's skin was slightly cold under my fingertips, being a dragon meant he couldn't warm himself up on his own unless he had made a fireplace. (Which we forgot to set up yesterday because of how tired we were) I ran my fingers up and down his back, caressing the sparsed scales growing from within.

— Iyu kai... — Eijirou snuggled deeper into me, searching for warmth— Hia ib'er a mëchi?

— Don't worry about it, I just had to pee, I wasn't attacked by a beast.

— Suru... Nei gon... ækiia he... —his worried speech died slowly against my neck, drowning under thick layers of slumber.

My skin started to feel ticklish because of my husband's growing hot breath. It was a sign of him being comfortable. I took the covers and pulled them over his head. It reminded me of a newborn baby wrapped up in blankets. Then I remembered Eijirou had told me once how snuggling under the covers made him feel like he was back inside his egg, warm and protected.

— Kori mi — I whispered in his ear.

The dragon replied by hugging me tighter, the point of his tail tapping happily against my thigh.

Ge'hria: it's a very special word to mated dragons, which refers to how strong is the bond between the two of them. It means "close to the heart".
