The request, so softly voiced as if the words would break the other, made the older girl smile sweetly. Blue eyes brightened and then slowly slid closed—a sign of trust, of contentment—before Harpae took a step towards her dear one.

“Why of course,” she responds softly, the smile on her face echoing within her words as she spoke. Hands slowly came forward only to stroke the brunette’s cheeks delicately, fingers and thumbs brushing as light as feathers. The touch was sure and unhurried, the ‘sight’ granted to Harpae not out of necessity or navigation but purely for intimacy, to heighten the closeness between them and to make it all the more sweeter. She’d give her anything she wanted, anything at all, so long as she could give it.

The graceful blonde drew closer to her companion; close enough that her honeyed hair spilled against the others’ shoulders, and then there came the genteel press of her lips against her forehead while her fingers gently held her face slightly upwards to make the kiss easier. She felt Michelle’s cheeks become rounder underneath her slender fingers, a sign that she had smiled—and warmer underneath her touch as well—a sign that she had blushed. It was this last revelation that made Harpae pull back slightly only to let her face glide forward until the tip of her nose brushed against the other girl’s. An invitation, and one she hoped would be accepted.

“You truly are beautiful my dear Michelle,”Harpae rubbed her nose against the others’ eliciting a charming giggle that made her heart flutter in her chest. Michelle truly was a wonderful girl. “Shall I give you another kiss, since you asked so politely? A more proper, sweeter kiss…”

Do you think an rpg horror game with 5-7 hours play time and original music/art is too ambitious a goal for 1 person to aim for? I have something in progress, but I don't know any composers/artists/programmers that could help with development and since I can do all those things somewhat decently on my own I figured I'd rather do it myself. However I intend it to be very story based and I don't want the story to suffer bc of mediocrity in my art/compositions/coding.

It’s pretty damn ambitious, yes. And if this happens to be your first game(if, of course), then it’s downright absurd.

Pocket Mirror, a 4 hour game with at least 3 more hours to replay* took around 3 years to produce with around 5-10 (I am too lazy to go back into the credits and look at how many people exactly) people working on various different things, including art, music, writing, programming, & voice acting. They may have not made their own tilesets, bu if they did, it would add another 6-12 months to the project. It was the first game for writer Evilhairbrush & artist/writer Kiramekirai worked on, but not for programmer Draxicor.

(*If you save right before the all bad ends/all good ends branch which means you have to replay 2 & 1/2 hours gameplay, plus the mostly good ends branch which adds 30 extra minutes.)

It’s not impossible though.

@project-ice made Nightmare of the Snow all by himself with 3 to 5 hours content the first time around and the new game plus content adds an extra hour thirty or two hours and thirty minutes to the game. It didn’t have custom tilesets or music (if I remember correctly it used creative commons music), so that definitely helped with development time. It was Tsurugihayate’s first complete game I believe (he has another incomplete one he worked on before Nightmare of the Snow). Again, if he made the tilesets and music, he’d probably take a lot more time.

It might be a good idea to think about either cutting down the game time or just asking people “hey wanna work on this with me?” The worst they can say to you is “no”. Otherwise, as long as you’re ok with working on one game by yourself for about three to five years, go ahead. Just know what you’re getting into.

@kago-to-torii Welcome to Kago to Torii, a Japanese cultured RPG Maker Horror game set in the time period of the 90s. Playing as Inko, we set out to escape the house from the monsters, paranormals and silhouettes that dwells within.

Performed a Let's Play on this game with two parts in September 2015, but I decided as I love the development of the game and the game itself, why not perform another Let's Play (previous Let's Play videos are deleted btw).

Due to the nature of the game with the manifestations that lays in wait, be advised that at any moment, a jumpscare of any sorts will appear from any direction of the screen, listen to the noises that emits carefully to be as pre-warned as possible. This isn't a game for the weak heart.

In an RPG Maker Horror game, the focus of the story along with its horror factors are two core elements to make it vivid with flavours, mysterious and exciting, also scary. Graphics in my case are secondary, but Kago to Torii has some of the most eye-catching, eye-appealing and attention to detail graphics, kudos to the artists of this game for making the experience extra lovely on top of the equally lovely storyline.
