One thing that's likely not visible to all younger queers is that little kids shows have gotten radically queerer in the last 10 years.
I'm not just talking about Owl House, Kippo etc, much as I love them.
I mean like stuff for kindergardners.
Characters in Strawberry Shortcake and Superhero Girls and more have gay parents just unremarkably in the background. That was unthinkable 15 years ago.
But the thing that shocks me utterly is the casual inclusion of nonbinary characters.
Dee and Friends in Oz, Polly Pocket, Craig of the Creek...it seems like half the shows my daughter watches have nonbinary characters just seamlessly included. Not even a Very Special Episode. Just...here's the scarecrow in charge of scarecrow village who uses they/them pronouns that everyone just uses without comment.
I was almost 30 before I found the word nonbinary. For my kid to just grow up with this is astonishing.
Conservatives are so mad because it's INCREDIBLY hard to just put this kind of inclusion back away. Once something is normal, and clearly not causing anything bad to happen, it's hard to convince people to be scared of it.

An estimate of how many physical books I own: it's somewhere between 80-90 i'd say? i counted the books in my flat a while back and it was like 60 something, but i also have more in the attic lmao so i'd say something around there!
Favorite author: this is hard for me bc i don't think anyone in particular stands out? at least not in a way where i've read A Lot of their books and they've left a big mark? but if we're going like "who wrote your favourite book?" then it's markus zuzak. i've also enjoyed the two taylor jenkins reid books i've read ! but idk if i'd say she's like an All-Time Favourite
A popular book I've never read and never intend to read: i don't think i would have a good time reading a little life. so i think i'll abstain.
A popular book I thought was just meh: call me by your name wasn't it for me... i really wanted to like it !!! but it just. didn't hit the spot for me...
Longest book I own: oh it's definitely this hardback of the jana kippo suite by karin smirnoff, all three books in one volume!!! i got it at the book sale this year for SO CHEAP it was ridiculous. i think it's like over 1000 pages lol
Longest series I own all the books to: i don't think i own any series that are longer than four books these days lol and it's literally the twilight saga and the sisterhood of the travelling pants which is an UNDERRATED SERIES!!!
Prettiest book I own: the copy of the bell jar i bought at waterstones this year after seeing gabi have it... it's SO gorgeous and illustrated beautifully and i need to read it !!!!
A book or series I wish more people knew about: well besides the sisterhood of the travelling pants. swimming in the dark by tomasz jedrowski!!! it was the Only book i read in 2021 but oh my god it was so amazing. i've recced it to multiple people and it's just !!!!!!!! incredible.

Do you have any books in a language other than english: absolutely i've got a few swedish books, but i do mostly read in english. i also have a Singular french book that my aunt gave me when i was like 12 that i have never read bc i never learned enough french for it. so.
Book that's been on my TBR list for a while but I still haven't got around to it: besides that french book LMAO no i kid i kid, hmmm i mean i haven't read like 40 of the 60 books i have on my shelves . so any of those... but i'd say maybe the wolf den by elodie harper or the song of achilles by madeline miller.. i've had them for like. Several Years on my shelves... but!!! the book collection is like a wine cellar, the books will be there waiting for the right occasion <3
Paperback, hardcover, or ebook?: for ease of reading always paperback, but hardbacks are so pretty... i am not an ebook girlie i just love Holding books and looking at them and all that jazz!!! also not an audiobook girlie (yet???)!!!
