oof, at this point, what hasn't he done? okay, so, first i must gesture to ::all of JIB:: that con was absolutely unhinged. A+ cockles content, but also jensen said some really lovely and thoughtful things about Dean, and his relationship to Cas, which i believe is super relevant because me and my small group of friends who suffer from Winchester Derangement Syndrome are 99.9% sure The Winchesters is not what it is on its face, and is in fact jensen's own fix-it for the series finale of spn. which in and of itself is amazing. boy really said 'i fucking hated that ending, gonna go write a new one' like the (secret) fangirl he is. this week's episode of TW (1x12 "The Tears of a Clown") felt so lovingly directed at all of those folks (obviously, myself included XD) who've been clowning about destiel from the beginning, and tbh the resolution to the motw made it feel like the message of the episode was: telling the truth turns clowning into reality. i intend to edit this response to include a frame from one of the panels at JIB, because someone asked what the reunion between Dean and Cas would look like, and jensen gave what seems to be, these days, a very jensen answer which was to answer seriously and then pass it off as a joke (like the ily --- like a bro thing from VanCon back in october of '22). but i think the smile on his face screams "i know something y'all don't know" and it has sent me. i could also talk about the very destiel-flavored lyrics from the newest Radio Company album, too, but i don't know if tumblr posts have a word limit 😂 lol thanks for asking and sorry if this is more long-winded than you were expecting. you were my very first ask and i may have gotten carried away! 😅 eta 03.02.23: please ignore my fuckery i forgot how tumblr works for a hot minute

Sethos/Cyno Theories

this is just for fun, don’t mind if I made some mistakes :3

Sethos; is the meaning of “prince” was used for many pharaohs. His constellation translates to “Delta of the Basileus” Delta dosent have a specific meaning however it was used in the Greek alphabet and as a radio communication. In a few other languages it translated to “Cartouche” a form of royal name. His Chinese con translation is “Holy Name Circle”

Basileus means; king or emperor and in this situation can be changed to rather pharaoh. His title; Wisdom’s envoy. Represents how he is of noble decent or blessed (“You shall have the dexterity of the fox and the agility of the flying serpent. The wisdom of Hermanubis shall also bestow its favor upon you. Your name shall be Sethos." — A divination from a Priest during a name-giving ceremony)

This implies Sethos’s true name is not Sethos rather one gifted. Hermanubis was a priest for the desert king, this explains his connection to Cyno as Cyno inherits traces of his magic. With Cyno being believed as a descendent of King Desheret (this is in fact false) and was gifted a vision by a priest.

Hermanubis also has connections to jackles, like Cyno.

Sethos however doesn’t have any specific details relating to a jackle however being the descendent of Hermanubis is possible, as Candace is a descendent of King Desheret (that’s why his magical girl staff looks so good on her)

Hermanubis is a mix of Anubis, an Egyptian god and Hermes, a Greek god.

Cyno, represents Anubis

And Sethos has traits such as Hermes. They both have traits from Hermanubis and are both represented by desert foxes (Sethos’s name given ceremony). So it’s possible both are descended of Hermanubis, representing both forms of his power.

Approaching NiGHTS!! Numerous Nightmares Nightmares that turn their fangs against the traitorous NiGHTS. They are the Nightmarens. Six of the most powerful bosses have finally revealed themselves!

1st Level: Wizeman’s right hand man, mighty ruler of his Nightmarens

Reala is one of the few first-level Nightmarens created along with NiGHTS as Wizeman’s right hand men.

In contrast to the free-spirited NiGHTS, Reala swears loyalty to Wizeman. He is also the one who enclosed NiGHTS in the Ideya Palace.

Photo: He has the ability to fly like NiGHTS and also uses a looping attack. He is truly the greatest villain of all.

First Level Nightmaren

Reala: Reala, who has the image of a “dark noble knight (Miyake clan)”. His stage will resemble a medieval castle, with red and black as the base colors.

By the time the character of NiGHTS was complete, many different types of NiGHTS had been created, but the one that brought together the “cool and cute” parts was what became the current NiGHTS. 2nd Level: Boss-like figures that wait for NiGHTS in their own worlds.

Two of the second-level nightmares, which are like mid-bosses, had been revealed in the previous issue, and now the remaining three have finally been revealed as well!

What kind of stages they will have and what kind of attacks they will launch are still a mystery, but every boss is more unique than it looks.

Gillwing: A second-level Nightmaren with the appearance of a gigantic dragon.

Clawz: “A winged monster common in the west, with a basic structure, but smarter than a cat," is Clawz’s image. The highlight of the scene is said to be the myriad of small characters that look like mouse fireworks. [I'm not sure what "winged monster" is referencing, maybe mythical winged cats, which were sometimes portrayed as evil. It might just be a way of saying Clawz isn't really a cat, but a monster/Nightmaren that looks like one.]

Jackle: Jackle’s cape gives him the very image of a magician. Is the cloak a trick to throw all kinds of things out of thin air?

Gulpo: Gulpo is said to be “the king of all fishes.” It seems that attention is being paid to the expression of water, which is completely different from Nightopia. [Another part I'm unsure of. It might be referencing that you can't actually swim in the water in his boss room but you can in Nightopia/Splash Garden?]

While Nightopia is a world that everyone likes and can easily get into, the world of "Nightmare" is a world where the bosses live and breathe, so it is really dark, but after clearing it, people think it’s cool.

I tried to create a concept that would make people think it was cool after clearing the game. The world of "Gillwing," which was the first world I worked on, took two or three different turns, and I had a hard time with it (laughs).

Green Magic

Friends truly are a gift! And my friend @freechaostyrant gave me a gift this weekend by telling me the story of getting this art I made for her signed by The Winchesters cast.

This weekend at SPN New Orleans Creation Con, I was commissioned to make a drawing for Rachel with the characters as she was getting multiple autographs to hang up!

The story she relayed was so sweet and it made me love this cast that much more! JoJo reportedly recognized my style — which at first I'm, like, 'wait, how?' Then I remember how big the noses are that I always draw and so that made sense lol.

There are so many amazing artworks out there I never think mine would stick in someone's head like that.

Drake instructed Rachel to tell me that this is "fucking amazing, she's talented" and so THANK YOU KING! She relayed the message and I thank him for his very kind words ❤️ They really mean a lot. A lot of artists struggle with self-doubt and low self-esteem so that really perked me up.

And Meg also enjoyed the artwork and that makes me super super happy, but I'm happier that my friend and Meg could bond over their "bald" shirts lol.

I wasn't expecting Jackles to sign it but Rachel managed to snag an auto from him. She apologized because Dean wasn't in the drawing but he said "I'll find a way into it" and signed over their heads. My brain ignored how meta that comment was haha.

She just needs to hopefully one day meet Demetria, Nida, and Dee to get those signatures to complete it!

This is another reason to pile on top of the many many many other ones that already exist that prove just how amazing this cast is, how much they care, how easy they accept the SPN fandom and family.

It also makes. me super happy to know that we, as a fandom, have accepted them and embraced them as family as well.

A fan asked about Sam and Dean’s biggest regrets. Jensen says “a” regret Dean has is not saving Cas. Thus, hellers are saying he’s a heller king. Jensen antis are saying Jensen is a sell out and pandering destiel. AAs are just drooling over his face. And other people are just shrugging because Jensen changes his answer on these types of questions all the time.

Link. Thanks nonnie. Both Jared and Jensen were pandering because they were reading the room: the bibros and minions respectively. Jared made anti-Amelia comments before at conventions to appease the bribros. Personally from a general audience pov, Amelia made sense and added to Sam’s arc. Sam and Amelia got together because they both lost their life partners to war and tried to rebuild their lives. Sam and Amelia moved out of their nowhere motel and re-enter society together. This foreshadowed Sam's endgame.

Remember when Julian Richings said at a convention that Death was Sam’s imagination in 9x01 because Death wasn’t eating pizza? Then 10x22 showed that Death was real in 9x01. Not that it matters what the actors say in interviews or conventions, the general audience assumed Death was real in 9x01 because he was presented as real on screen.

So to answer the previous anon, Jensen was pandering because he was reading the room.
