i don’t wanna be cringe and vaguely vent on main but todays just been so aggravating- my dad not taking anything fucking serious me having to make analogies and hypothetical comparisons about my physical body being graphically harmed for him to feel empathy other than “oh yeah i guess that stuff is bad. but doesn—“ shut up hoe. he’s no biden worshipper by far but isn’t being smart rn and acting like there’s nO wAy hE cAn hAnDlE tHingS bEtTer and whatnot- And with general stuff i know his mental health isn’t the greatest (at least he stopped screaming in the middle of the night after drinking a little) but he just has become more increasingly passive aggressively rude to my mom- but when i bring up instances when he’s been rude to me to her she basically tells me to bear it ig. But i’ve been less passive as of recent when shit happens but idk. but back to taking about me, him, and Palestine— it’s just so fucking frustrating cuz on top of everything YOU ARE A PUERTO RICAN!!! A BORICUA!!! SOMEONE WHOS LAND IS CURRENTLY BEING WRONGFULLY OWNED AND OPERATED ON! OUR PPL ON THE ISLAND CANT VOTE FOR PRESIDENT AND YOU KNOW THAAAATT!! YET SOMEHOW YOU OF ALL PEOPLE ARE COMPLETELY AS USELESS AS THE AVERAGE SLIGHT LEFT AMERICAN ON THIS CONFLICT???? you used to actually talk to me about freedom and our people’s historically revolutionary hero’s, i used to think you thought like a revolutionary but i guess not, i thought you were smart- i hate your job too i hate so much i can’t even be coherent i don’t wanna hate i dont. i wish you and mom didn’t take away my life and will and implicitly lock me up for a year and a half so i could’ve had less struggle adjusting with the real world after developing the worst reclusive habits and other shit . i love my parents so much but i don’t think anything will be the same since the old times where i’d beg you to be out of that intensive study scam school that made me very physically sedentary (and gave me a vitamin d deficiency cause i rarely had time to leave the house) every fucking day and the only thing that changed your mind was not your child’s suffering but some psychiatrist you’ve seen twice telling you that it just MIGHT be beneficial to let me be normal. i don’t care if i’m overdramatizing i don’t know how i can explain this experience and it’s impacts on me in a way that’s normal or not trauma dumpy. "yes riki, I'm very happy for you"

How could you not be happy? This is everything Riki had wanted since you met him in that practice room. Riki had been accepted into a mnet survival show together with belift lab, the agency of the two of you. Obviously, being his partner, you were more than happy to see riki fulfill his dream.

"Do you think we go to that restaurant that you like so much to celebrate? This is great news"

Riki agreed, he was too happy and excited about the news and to be able to share it with his girlfriend.

Riki was already preparing his things when you entered the room.

"oh, do you have to go yet?" you asked with a slight pout.

"Yes, the shooting starts soon, do you think my hairstyle looks good?" Riki said as he approached you with a smile.

"You look beautiful honey" you said kissing him.

You were one of the main voters for riki throughout the program, you always supported him and his friends so that they would be in the top positions. All your friends always heard you talk about how riki had done this and how he also ended up in certain positions. You were just excited that at least one of you two was fulfilling they dream.

You were hugging your pillow while showing who was left in the group. The moment you heard "Nishimura Riki" you screamed and jumped on your bed, you couldn't believe it, riki had finally debuted! You called him after the show was over but he didn't answer, thinking maybe he's busy, you decided to write him. 2, 3, 4 and even 5 hours passed and he didn't answer you, you were already almost falling asleep so you just went to sleep.

When you woke up, you didn't feel riki next to you as it was supposed to. You turned on your phone thinking that I had answered you but your tray was empty. Perhaps it was simply forgotten due to excitement, which you understood since you were also a belift trainee waiting to debut.

To celebrate, you made a small dinner for the two of you, you invested a lot of time in making everything look perfect. You sent him a picture of everything and you wrote to him, so when he left you on seen you thought it meant he was going, since he knew you were doing this.

It was already midnight and not a single news from riki. When you saw your phone, not a single notification from him, not even a "sorry, I can't go", nothing, just a "seen" from him

You were fed up, was he ghosting you? no, he would never do that to you, he is your boyfriend with whom you have been together for almost 3 years, he loves you, right? Now, all you wanted is for him to answer you, it had been 2 weeks since that and you only knew about him from things you read on the internet.

You weren't going to lower yourself anymore, if he wanted to ghost you it was fine, you weren't going to answer him anymore.

Kiki <3: hey! y/n, I'm really sorry, I was busy enough that I didn't have time to be on my cell phone, could we meet today at your house? :(

Leaving your dignity on the ground, you responded immediately and prepared everything for his arrival. You almost cried with happiness when you saw him walk through that door.

"My life, I missed you so much" riki said as he hugged you, it's been a long time since you felt his warmth. You both caught up and talked yourself to sleep, you were really happy.

The next morning, you woke up to sounds coming from below. Going down, you saw Riki ordering everything and preparing waffles. You obviously had breakfast next to each other, nothing could break this beautiful moment.

"love, I'm so sorry, I have to go back to the agency" riki said. "Can't you stay a little longer?" you asked with a sad tone. "No, I'm sorry, but don't worry, I'll be back later or when I'm freer"

You were happy, really happy, you were going to debut in this new hybe group "NewJeans", it had been more than 2 years without you talking to riki again, you hadn't even finished because he left and never came back, he never write you again.

"y/n unnie" hyein said as she came running towards you, "do you think this hairstyle looks good on me? the butterflies in the locks make me a little uncomfortable" she said as she slowly brushed one of her locks away from her eyes. "It looks cute, very aesthetic, although if I were you I wouldn't move it, the stylists can take revenge on our first comeback."

You had already found a better place with people who appreciated you and cared about you, but still you couldn't help but think, what if only riki had cared?

It doesn't matter, you are gonna debut.

You couldn't believe the immense fame and impact that the group had, you were very happy like the other members, none of them could believe it, at first you had no hope but this surprised you.

"Do you think we have a small party to celebrate today? It would only us" Hanni said, to which all nodded. You decided to have a dinner in one of the practice rooms (because they still had to practice after that).

"Oh, I'm really sorry, we didn't want to interrupt you" a red haired boy said as he entered with the rest of what seemed to be his group.

"Don't worry, do you want something to eat?" Hanni said as she held up a piece of cake she were finishing making.

"Thank you but we can't, enjoy your meal, congratulations" the boy said again as they left.

You didn't want to turn around, you knew very well that if you did, you would meet his eyes. You heard them leave, for some reason, you felt devastated. He was there, and after years, he didn't turn to see you? The least you deserved was an explanation.

"y/n, are you alright? you just stared at nothing" haerin asked as she touched your shoulder. "Yes, don't worry, let's continue."

“no, U wanna be ME” he exclaimed “i was waiting for you to change earlier, so im the original here”

“u wanna be like that then, one v one me rn” your cockiness got ahead of you all because you beat minjun, the schools soccer goalee.

to your knowledge, you didn’t know riki was an ace striker, you just knew he was on the team. challenge him to a one v one was one big fucking mistake.

the afternoon sun illuminated the soccer field, casting a golden hue over the green grass. you and riki stood on opposite ends, eyes locked in playful determination. the sound of your laughter and riki’s anticipation filled the air as u prepared to beat the fuck outta him (not rlly)

as the game progressed, you and riki’s connection grew stronger. your movements became synchronized, instincts aligning flawlessly, and, coincidentally, your play styles complimented each other really well. after all, he did coach you how to play

“look over there!” u used the oldest tactic known to man and he STILL fell for it. you took this chance to score a free goal on him. you focused your gaze on the goal, mind set on one thing: scoring. you ran up to the ball and your foot connected with the ball in a powerful strike, its trajectory aimed directly at the goal.

but in an unexpected twist of fate, riki, who was quick to react to your tactic, darted towards the net to intercept the shot. his eyes fixated on the ball, unaware of the collision. the ball hurtled toward riki’s direction.

your heart skipped a beat as you watched the scene unfold agonizingly slow. there was no time to react, no way to alter the aftermath of the play. the ball connected with an audible thud, but instead of finding its intended target, it struck riki’s face

“OHMYFUCKINGGOD” your eyes widened with shock and remorse, quickly making your way towards him, “AREUOKAYIMSOSORRY”

You had recently finished this afternoon's global politics lesson, and were now walking with your royal advisor. The two of you were discussing how you would take over trade with your nation's closest ally when you heard the light clank of metal behind you, signaling the presence of one of your knights. Without turning it around, you already knew it was your main guard and secret boyfriend, Sir Riki.

He caught up with the two of you and gently grabbed your shoulder, turning his head to face your advisor. "Pardon me, but do you mind if I borrow her highness for a few minutes?"

Your advisor looked between the two of you suspiciously, knowing you had nothing else planned until after dinner that evening. "What for, exactly?"

"Oh, I just wanted to talk to our princess about some security updates I thought of. You see, with the increased trade in our kingdom, it's of the utmost importance that we keep the royal family as safe and happy as possible." At that your advisor nodded and walked off, leaving you in Riki's care.

As soon as they were out of sight you turned to your boyfriend, ready to ask about the security updates, but just as you opened your mouth he dragged you off to the knights' training center. Surprised, you said, "Sir Riki, I don't think I'm supposed to attend training sessions unless I'm supervising the grounds with my father."

"There's not a training session right now," he countered.

"Then why are we going here?"

"Because," he said, turning to you, "I wanted to see you." And with that and a wink, y'all continued walking until you arrived. Once at the center, he pulled you towards some bushes, hiding the two of you from view.

"Kiki, I really don't see how this is necessary for talking about security updates," you scolded, confused as to why y'all were hiding.

"We aren't talking about security updates."

"But you sai-"

"I lied." He smirked down at you, taking in your beauty. Even with your sleepy eyes (that politics professor was exceptionally boring) and ruffled dress, you still looked prettier than anyone else he'd ever met. And with your lovely features, delicate clothes, and especially your height compared to his, he couldn't help but think you must be a faerie of some sort.

"What was that?" you asked, leaning closer.

He hadn't realized he had said it out loud, but he supposed that he couldn't hold it back now. "I said you must be a faerie."

At that your face warmed. "Riki, you know it's unwise to compare us to the fae folk."

"The fae folk can talk to a wall for all I care, it doesn't change how short and cute you are," he laughed.

"I'm not short! I'm average, ABOVE average actually. You're just way above average!" you cried indignantly, but he didn't care. Your furrowed brows only accentuated your precious demeanor. To your shock, he planted a kiss on your forehead before leaning his against yours.

"Doesn't change the fact that you're shorter than me," he laughed.

As he spoke, you decided to get back at him for his teasing, suddenly pushing him against the wall of the training center. "Don't forget I'm your higher up, Sir Riki. You answer to me, so watch your mouth," you scolded, giving him a knowing look as a light redness spread across his face.

"Yes, your highness."

At that point y'all both knew that despite all the sneaking around and the teasing and the differences between you two, you two wouldn't settle for anyone else. He was only for you, and you for him.

Hoje é o último dia do ano e eu não poderia deixar de escrever uma cartinha. Afinal você me faz feliz mesmo quando a vida me faz triste, e meu ano sem você com certeza teria sido muito pior do que já foi.

Entretanto pra esse ano horrível acabar só faltava o Ano novo né, que é o que está acontecendo nesse exato momento.

Eu odeio isso também, e nem sei o motivo direto. Só sei que não fico bem no réveillon, me dá uma tristeza estranha pensar que o ano já chegou no fim e que no próximo tudo vai mudar.

Pelo menos eu estou tranquila no fato que não importa quantos anos de passe, eu ainda vou ter você comigo pra sempre. Saber que estou indo pra 2024 com o mesmo de 2020 meio que me conforta de alguma forma.

Espero que ano que vem seja muito melhor, não só pra mim quanto pra você também, Kiki.

Estou com muitas esperanças que esse vai ser meu ano. Um ano de glow ups não só fisicamente quanto mentalmente, e eu vou fazer de tudo pra dar certo. Meus seventeen vai ser maravilhoso, ao contrário do que muitos pensam (lembre-se disso).
