I guess Tim Daggett retiring her on national tv was a bit of an exaggeration. Wonder if she's going to use Hill's. Kelli Hill has apparently said that DiCello has an open line for her to come out of retirement.

Thoughts about the state of the US Women’s Team prospects after Nationals
Bullet points for lack of coherent thought:
Jones would have won the national championship with 1 fall. It’s absolutely right in my mind that you shouldn’t be able to win it with 2. That said my heart broke for her. I do think she needs a new bars dismount because she’s getting no distance from the bars on her current one. If she hits she’s beautiful and she should do the AA at worlds. But I’ll hold my breath.
McClain a beautiful gymnast but those pauses in her beam that we thought she’d improved on night 1 are back in raging force night 2 and I think they will hurt her in front of a FIG panel that isn’t Jesolo. They should really send her to the Paris World Challenge Cup and see what a real fig panel does with her beam. I think you put her in a final with the Germans or the Chinese or even Kinsella out of Great Britain and she’s not getting those sky high scores.
In general I thought the ranking was correct but the scores were nuts. The bars scores were particularly bad night 2 but I’d lop at least .3 off of every E for some sanity.
The replacement for annoying fans as Jade Carey World AA champion madness has come down to earth as everyone remembers that she’s really not great on beam goes to Jordan Chiles fans who were complaining about her being under scored. I’m sorry folks, Jordan was famously overscored going up to the Olympics and I saw someone who thought she should have gotten an 8.5 beam E tonight. Which by the way would have been one of the highest beam E scores in the world this year.
Nastia Liukin thinks judges wont notice a WOGA gymnasts 45 degree bars handstand in real time tells us she’s never taken a judging course in her life.
They did not add Leanne Wong to the national team (but may later). I find this baffling because ...
... the drop off in scores after 6 in the AA standings is pretty big, and at least at the moment Kayla diCello is saying she’s not going to Worlds. They need 5 athletes plus 2 alternates for Worlds.
I think they’re likely to win gold at Worlds baring a melt down mostly because of Asia D’Amato’s injury. Her DTY is very hard for Italy to replace and they have a bigger team puzzle piece problem. Such that I wouldn’t be surprised if Vanessa Ferrari is on the Italian Worlds team. Because she’s insane and has been doing DTY’s in her “slow” training come back.
I’m still predicting an E score massacre for the US women on beam and floor come Worlds and I don’t think it’s avoidable.
My worlds team (assuming Wong is healthy and diCello retires): McClain, Jones, Chiles, Carey, Wong. Alternates Blakely and Zeiss.

Gelya, Vlada and Listy supposedly being better AA gymnasts than Nina is pretty irrelevant because if Russia is banned until Euros they won’t be at Worlds this year. Leanne and Kayla aren’t better AA than Nina either. If we combine DiCello’s best scores at Worlds we get a 55.8 while Leanne’s would be 56.365 which is a far cry from Nina’s top AA score. It’s offensive to even mention Kayla and Leanne in the same sentence as Nina. Plus Konnor’s AA score at Winter Cup was literally in the mid 54’s lmfao. Regardless, Konnor seems to be a total headcase already so she stands no chance against Nina.
