been watching The Legend of Vox Machina a second time in Japanese since it aired and Kash calls Keyleth “Shika-chan” holy shit that’s cute

Kashleth kiss!!! Such a fun moment, cannot wait to see how this plays out when the other characters find out!

Second watch of the first three episodes of TLoVM (at home on my nice tv) actually brought me to tears a couple of times. Emon's total destruction and [redacted] sobbing over [redacted] really got to me.

Also Jesus this show is beautiful. They're doing so much and I love it a lot.

Chin in hands - seeing that Kashleth RB, wondering what your thoughts are of the Kashleth kiss. What it contributes to Keyleth and Vax's development separately or together.

I can see it vaguely, but I don't grasp Keyleth super well, so! Why do you think it'd be important to include?

i understand that will friedle came to regret the kashleth kiss bc he realized that men shouldn't be foisting kisses on unsuspecting women, which, fair and true—but also i don't care, i fucking love it lol. i love it bc a) marisha getting flustered is so funny and b) that was, as far as we know, the first time that keyleth was confronted with the realization that, hey, someone could like her.

and not just like her, like her in the full knowledge of her shortcomings. kash spent those two episodes commenting on her awkwardness, her strange behaviors, her difficulty relating to people, and he liked her for them. all of the things she is self-conscious about, all of the things she thinks makes her a bad party member or an ineffectual leader, someone saw them and thought, hell yeah, she rocks. that's huge.

and then for vax, i think it lit a bit of a fire under his ass. he's always been so good at moving at keyleth's speed, letting her dictate the pace of their relationship and the extent of their closeness, but i think he also took for granted the advantage of their proximity. i mean, vox machina is pretty insular, and because they move around so much, they don't really get to know other people super deeply for long periods of time. but kash reminded vax that he's not the only one with eyes and a good taste in women. he can't just sit back and let keyleth do everything on her terms alone. he is going to have to make the first move, at least to initiate things, bc if he doesn't, someone else will.

I haven’t watched the new TLoVM season yet but I saw a Kashleth edit and aww heck no. They made Kash the “cool”, flirty guy??? It’s so intrinsic to Kash how uncool he is though!!!
