hikaru never really called himself an animal person, but he did always hold a bit of a soft spot for the little critters. and one in particular had caught his eye: a tiny black and white tuxedo cat who seemed awfully friendly. he meowed at hikaru and he rubbed up against the front of the cage toward him, so he just had to be drawn to the cat.

the rabbits and the goats and such were all very cute, but the cats were on a whole different level. they seemed a lot more personable, plus there was the added effect that he could actually take one home. and by one, he specifically meant the little tuxedo cat. he had to take the little creature home, before anybody else came along and scooped him up. so, with a large smile on his face at the prospect of getting a new little buddy, he walked towards a black-haired girl who seemed to be a volunteer there.

❝ excuse me, miss! ❞ he was rather jolly and significantly more upbeat at this moment than he normally ever was, beyond happy that he could potentially get this cat. ❝ how do i go about adopting a cat? ❞

★┋┋ That question came practically out of nowhere, and what better person to ask than expressionless Naoe? His eyes fell onto the other as he heard her voice, asking him such a question after witnessing something he was doing. This wasn’t against the law... was it? Still, he needed to answer her, and he was answering her now.

❝Yes.❞ All he was doing was playing a game, but perhaps she was talking about that? Who knows.
