Yeah, I think the irony of it is that he was supposed to be the "big bro" figure of the squad and has more real-life experience but ended up being low-key one of its most chaotic elements because he's still an unabashed man whore 😂😂 I think it makes more sense if you mentally tweak things/headcanon it to remember that, (because Mages live longer), to Mages it makes perfect sense that Justyn still seems like he's in his twenties because the Mage cultural idea of your twenties versus your thirties is much more indistinct than it is for, say, Norms or Hunters (or us). It's part of the reason why their academic and "post-grad" phase can last so long without anyone really blinking an eye!

The Great Fox Illusion by Justyn Edwards is about a competition in which four young magicians face off to solve a mystery and find out which of them will be the successor to the Great Fox, a famous illusionist. The main character is Felicity “Flick” Lions, a 13-year-old magician who has a grudge against the Great Fox because she thinks he made her father leave her and her mother.

Overall, this book was lots of fun to read and made great use of magic tricks in the plot!

I recommend The Great Fox Illusion for readers who like puzzle-type mystery stories, and especially for those who would enjoy reading about magic tricks and magicians ✨
