I've noticed that this is the second promotional/concept art with Peanut and water
Water evokes both birth and death ("That's what the water gave me" as in water gives us life but can also take it away / "Water of the Womb")
fitting with the overarching theme of death and rebirth of the game!
On the song by florence + the machine:
the irony of water which gives life now taking your life away (apparently a reference to Virginia Woolf's death by drowning)
The painting is Ophelia by John Everett Millais. It depicts the character Ophelia's death in the Shakespeare play Hamlet. The way his hands are placed outwards seem similar. Maybe that's deliberate? I've literally never read hamlet so I can't draw any connections here. If you've read/seen hamlet, please let us know your thoughts. (btw you have a very big brain)

Post Bobby's death, Jaiden had already begun distancing and isolating herself from the rest of the island folk. But when she talked to them she was receptive and honest (if more guarded. She started hiding things, was anxious about people judging her for Bobby fields etc)
Now she is (falsly) sure that only the cucuruchos could understand her. She is back in between the people physically but her communication is completely ineffective. She is resolved to hide everything about her opinions.
On a short term basis this might work, people might take her denying her friendship with cucurucho as a sign that she is clearing up and finally understanding them (especially Cellbit?? Cucuruchos biggest hater??) But when they inevitably figure out that Jaiden lied to them, that she's still with he cucuruchos and LIED to them??
Their trust will be gone and Jaiden will literally only have the cucuruchos and the FEDERATION to protect and help her. She might be saying that she doesn't like the federation rn but what will happen if she is truly alone?

I was kind of surprised to find out that quite a few people thought Reigen was OOC at the beggining of the separation arc
LIKE we already knew he had the tendency to be kind of an asshole plus he never had a lot of consideration for Mobs schedule/free time
He also wasn't used to Mob standing up for himself or insisting on things
Him saying all of that hurtful stuff was a result of his flaws being highlited, I don't think it defines him as a character nor do I think its a basis for how he acts in general
But it's important to acknowledge he had the capacity to say all of that and imo it just made him feel more human
He has flaws, he messes up, he hurts people
Idk I just dislike it when people try to either find him excuses for That Scene or claim its OOC
Reigen is used to Mob being at his beck and call, never having any friends or hobbies
He still has yet to get used to the fact that Mob has changed and grown, to him he's still the naive kid that got roped into a cult a few weeks ago and who always relies on him for advice
On top of that, it becomes pretty obvious later on that Reigen is straight up projecting onto him
Reigen doesnt have any real friends, he's lonely and the "friends" he does have just want to use him
Mob used to be like him, and until that moment he keeps believing that's the truth
So Reigen is shocked by the change in status quo, that Mob stands up for himself, because he's said all of that nasty stuff thinking it'll be water under the bridge by the time tommorow rolled around
When he's being mean, he doesn't think he'll face any immediate consequences for his actions
Just because he's a good person and usually the mature/reliable adult doesn't mean he can't drop the ball once in a while
I like it when characters fuck up and have to grow, it's one of the reasons why I like mp100 so much, its a central theme in the show after all
Let Reigen make mistakes too, man

I started takn hrt august 2017. Like interupted access and half of the time on Spiro. I dnt think iv ever passed. Its rlly interesting, lik ya im a lil sad about it but mostly find it interesting how diff ppls xps r. Lik iv been 6'6(200cm) and over 230lbs(105kg) since 14 most of that time btwn 265 and 300(120 amd 135kg). I dont hav that much anxiety abouty passing. The funny thing is i think whn u hav a bunch of anx abt this its actually way worse the closer u r to passn. Lik precarity vs dissociation. The girls iv seens complain/worry/spiral about this the most have all been fishes imo. I generally do hav space for these ppl.

I just went back to the forgotten temple to figure out the exact place where Sage of Time Link is held in my new fic and I have decided it has to be the impossible room above the dragon's tears/ geoglyphs room. Which in the AU would be more of a battle chamber where Dark Link sleeps.
More interestingly, I found out that there's seemingly a room separating the skylight and the geoglyph tower. But it's impossible to get into, you can see inside through the grate but if you try to swim through it, you just get to the mountain above the temple. It is really interesting bc I don't know of any other place in the game like that, where you can see and logically get to it, but when you try it just acts like it's one solid object.

translation notes on deleted lines + why translation is truly so important

Hello everyone... As I'm sure you've seen, the deleted lines here that were leaked have been a wrecking ball on both this fanbase and my heart!!! (thank you to the users who put that together.)
OKOKOK more translation notes!!! This is a little too out of my level in Korean for me tbh, but I'll try my best to explain my point of view.
기억은 없지만 저 역시 당신의 아들임니다.
I may not remember, but I'm still your son.
Pino is using the form Dangshin (당신) here and not father (as in 기억은 없지만 저 역시 아버지의 아들입니다?), probably because he isn't directly talking to Geppetto, and it's a general formal version of "you".
Grammatical notes aside and getting to the main point, this line shows that translation is SO finicky and SO important
This line is such a completely crazy example of how translation can change an entire story; how one word can make something entirely different.
Let's look at that line with the two different interpretations.
기억은 없지만 저 역시 당신의 아들입니다.
I may not remember, but I'm still your son.
Alternatively, where 역시 (yeokshi) is interpreted as "TOO":
기억은 없지만 저 역시 당신의 아들입니다.
I may not have [his] memories, but I'm your son, too.
Here's the thing... "but I'm still your son, too"...
that "too" changes EVERYTHING. That little three letter word, at the end of that sentence changes everything, and has the power to steer an entire story. Because why would he need to add the "too" modifier if Geppetto only had one single child?
At my level, I cannot say that it's one or the other with 100% certainty. Translation always requires some form of interpretation, and either one is "accurate". But, as you know, a translation being "accurate" is often not even enough. [note: In the process of writing this post, and giving it some thought. I would say that yes, considering the context, the second translation is more accurate (because in this context he is referring to Carlo's memories when he uses the word "역시") ]
Deleted lines are deleted for a reason
Over the many days I've been deliberating over this (lol Lies has taken me heart and mind), I've realized that maybe I've gotten caught up in a bit of survivorship bias. As in, I think I was focusing on the content of the deleted lines, and not that they were deleted in the first place.
[Among other reasons,]
I think these lines were likely deleted because the (almighty gods) Developers wanted to keep it more ambiguous and up to interpretation whether or not P is Carlo. It's a very intriguing choice. That being said, I really appreciate that people shared this so we can see the creative decisions that were even made in the first place.
I'm reminded of Antonia's letter, because I still find it that profound. (she really was the best ;_;) When she sees Pino, she doesn't mention carlo at all to Pino, lady Antonia just treats him exactly as he is.
And her final letter is so touching. Perhaps guessing what complicated emotions Pino might be feeling about his relation to Carlo.. she tells him, not that he is or isn't Carlo, but that
"Whether you are that child or not -"
he is worthy of love and that he is precious.
"Whether you are Carlo or not, You are precious to me."

Man I love building apartment complexes for ts2. That was one thing about the next two versions that always disappointed me greatly. It’s not to say I hate the shell system in ts3, I did like the views you could get of the world from them but there is just somethin special about Apartment Life.
Don’t even talk to me about ts4′s apartments though. I hate those things.
Anyway, some random shots before I start ranting about about the ts4 build system. Working on this little corner of my town right now. We got a little corner market and community garden. I really like each “neighborhood” section of my worlds to have nearby parks. Everyone should have a place to get fresh air and touch grass. Even digital peoples.

Lou's character in any given season has yet to be my favorite but he always plays someone so completely essential to the party and the world at large. What would FHSY have been without Fabian in Leviathan? What is New York without Kingston Brown from uptown? What would've even happened in ACOC without Amethar? He's so good at immersing himself in the plot and universe and spiraling connections out and gah just so much talent

I technically finished the Cyan/Red thing, but also I added MORE, so I’m still two chapters left on the one-shots, and two chapters left of V-Crew before I’m done Part 1 of the series (AAAAAAAAH), and I’ve also gotta work on Halo stuff cause I’ve been slacking on my tradition.....But I had a dream and got a new idea, so now it looks like I’m gonna try to smack down another original story as fast as possible so I don’t delay everything else longer than I need to 😂
