Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).
He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.
And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.
No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.
Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)
He needs to be quick.
Efficient.
Perfect.
And so he comes and goes like the wind.
Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.
Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.
He'd rather he never be late ever again.
It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...

Kaeya snorts, but acquiesces, hiding the shaking of his hands at the thought of being idle.
He imagines hearing a clock ticking.
Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?
Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.

You know now that I've officially finished all of the Dialtown routes I have to say Theoroar is probably one of my favorite antagonists if only because he is probably the biggest threat among the introduced antagonists, and I'm ambivalent in whether you'd put him higher or lower than Mingus because she ate lead so I lost respect tbh.
But I mean two things when I call him a big threat; first of all: he IS dangerous. Theo is a remarkably smart son of a bitch who you'd be fair to underestimate because everyone in this town is a fucking idiot or insane but he's merely an eccentric man very aware of what he's doing and how to do it, also equipped with a charged rifle that he's, good enough at using (aside from his hand to hand combat skills); but again, because of the fact that he IS smart, Theo is remarkably well at getting away from situations without losing in any way that could actually personally affect him, giving him a relative control of the situation at most if not all moments.
I think these things come really to shine in chapter 3 not only because he gets a mayor antagonistic role but also because you have the other goons to compare him to; out of everyone there he's not only the single one to get a job and have a reward granted (and also 1) be able to nerf little billy even if by explicit Mingus orders 2) own a loaded weapon) but by the end of his encounter the theme that played when you defeated all 3 previous henchmen that sounded like this goofy almost humillating circus melody doesn't play, instead replaced by his theme as HE decides to stop and "defeat" himself.
To put it in few words: Theoroar is plainly amaizing because he manages to be a physical competent threat while also a smart and level headed man which grants him the ability to be a comically terrifying karma houdini

This isn't abt artists mad abt losing a few commissions on the internet this is about large numbers of artists getting their art stolen so people can make something out of THEIR stuff, that they worked for years to create, without permision. AND corporations using free software to steal instead of paying artists properly. You would think with the amount of artists that are like 'hey this is bad and harming me', as well as the whole ass Hollywood-wide strike that happened with AI usage being one of the key talking points you would understand that it's bad and should at the very least have rules put around it.
But actually artists should stop focusing on something they can try to curtail before it gets too wildly out of control and instead focus on uhhhhh dismantling the economy if they're so mad their stuff is being stolen

Okay i have yet to see a post about this that isnt filled with ppl being Annoying as Fuck on it, but,
theyve found wreckage of the submersible, it imploded (thank god, thats better than a drawn out suffocation over the course of several days, implosion means it was pretty much instantaneous) and the us navy have revealed they heard a weird sound on sunday from about where communication with the sub was lost, that was probably the sound of the implosion, [implied that they didnt say anything cos they didnt want to jump to conclusions without evidence of a wreckage, if there was a chance they were still alive.] no idea what the banging sounds were.
I do hope rescue efforts are extended to the migrants off the coast of greece, and am angry and horrified at their mistreatment, and that the media clearly cares less for their fates than that of the billionaires on the sub.

LET'S GET DANGEROUS....
I know I don't owe anyone anything, but I want to be transparent about why I've not been as active lately.
My recent job loss and the discrimination that contributed to said loss had me severely depressed. After coming down a little from survivor/PTSD mode, I needed to take space from everyone and everything. I am starting to feel better, thankfully.
I have been performing odd jobs in my neighborhood so that I am good on cash for bills and housing this month and part of next month. Beyond that, I don't know what to expect.
I am still working on my Ko-Fi shop. This is one of those things I jumped right into thanks to survivor mode, and I didn't account for everything as thoroughly so I'm taking my time with it.
I did speak to a few legal advocates and a couple of lawyers during these past few weeks. Here's the good, bad, and ugly:
Good: Yes, there was illegal discrimination at play. My place of employment didn't handle things the way they should've regarding my excused absences related to disability, and they contributed to emotional duress and screwed over my education prospects.
Bad: I didn't have a paper trail for everything, but I had enough to prove that I did what I was supposed to do on my end when it came to adhering to my place of employments processes. There is sadly nothing that can be done about the third party health insurance company that played a role in screwing me over.
Ugly: Even with the pro-bono stuff that was offered, I'm looking between 20,000-35,000k out of pocket if I wanted to take this to the highest.
Folks...I do not have 20-35k lying around nor the emotional bandwidth to go through a trial/suit. Yes, GoFundMe is an option if I was dead serious on dragging these fuckers dicks through the dirt, but guys, honest to god, I'd rather that 20k-35k go to the following:
Keeping a roof over my head and food on the table until I have stable employment
Ensuring I can afford medical care for my disability, and afford new tests that I'm going to need for long-covid issues
Help me stay in my graduate courses/obtain my therapy licensure
Use it to help out other disabled folks in similar situations
I have closure that I was indeed wronged, that I did everything on my end to the best of my ability, and these dehumanizing assholes aren't going to rob anymore of my energy or time than they already have.
I have appointments to see if covid has fucked up or contributed to anything more serious that hasn't been addressed. I have a secondary PCP now cause of health concerns that have gotten worse. My fibromyalgia flares have been more chaotic since catching covid in January and I'm still figuring out what my new baseline is with that.
Spring Term of my graduate studies started last week, and I'm getting as much as I can done so I have more free time.
I am trying to find motivation to work my fanfics, drabbles, interacting, etc. It's been hard with everything.
My former employer is trying to get out of unemployment benefits and I've been battling that on top of the other stuff.
I need time to rest (like hibernate) and I haven't had the opportunity to do that.
Thank you again to everyone who has checked in on me, asked me how I've been, sent something positive, or donated. I'm sorry I haven't had the hit points to get to everyone individually, but I am trying and I am grateful for the compassion and appreciation.

john is a menace and when he wakes up with a certain idea in his head, there's no getting it out. if he wants to be put in his place, it's no fun to ask for it, so he absolutely will spend the day pushing all of gale's buttons, being purposefully argumentative, knowing exactly how to get the normally patient and reserved man wound up.
and the thrill that would run up his spine when he finally watches gale's final bit of patience leave him would always make the effort so worth it. the visible shift in gale's demeanour, the way he'd close himself off, iron grip on on john's wrist as he pulls him to the side, tells him he wants him in their barrack/wherever they go for privacy in five minutes.
john spends the time pacing while he waits gale to join him, already worked up in anticipation, heart beating with excitement– gale takes longer on purpose, just to make him suffer.
and at the end after john's been taken apart by firm hands and stern words, my god. bent over gale's lap, rutting down against his leg as the burn aches deep, and gale's given up on trying to stop him about ten hits ago because to john’s credit he’s sat very well for him; he can never stay upset for long when john's begging so sweetly and making such nice noises for him.
gale humming at a broken little plea that leaves john's mouth after a particularly hard hit, running his hand thoughtfully over the red–raw skin, like he’s contemplating, bringing his hand down with no warning again, feeling john’s hands tighten in the fabric of his pants.
“i don’t know. do you promise to behave?”
the desperate nods, the immediate promises and pleas that would spill from john's throat. gale letting his head fall back against the chair he's sat in, swearing under his breath, quiet enough that john doesn't hear his resolve slipping. a few more hits, and then gale smooths his hand over the angry marks, sighing out the last of his tension.
"are you going to be a good boy from now on?" a quick nod. "tell me."
john's face burning red as whines quietly, but relents with a mumbled "i'm going to be a good boy, i promise."
and what a sight it is, seeing the bold, loud, commanding major fall apart so easily for gale. the corner of gale's mouth quirking up, huffing out a fond laugh as he traces his fingertips up the curve of john's spine.
"alright. why don't you show me how good you can be?"

okay so i MEANT to write smth new for lances bday. instead i got distracted by my longfic that i’ve literally been working on for a year bc i DESPERATELY want it finished in the next couple days. so as a holder i have a snippet from the longfic for y’all tonight, i hope u like and happy birthday lance!!!

I am still working on how to get consistent results for my zippered dice bags using fabric and batting but if you have a scrap of leather and 50cm of zipper laying about this is probably my actual favourite so far.
It's pocket sized but it can hold 2 sets and it opens into a little rolling tray.
Split the zip in half, double up one half, thread the zipper pull, mark the lengths along the zip from the centre side starting at the point when it is fully closed, match the marks and use those little clip things to hold the zip in place, sew about 2mm from the edge leaving a 2cm gap where the ends meet. Zip it closed to make sure it aligns right. Trim the excess zipper and use something to seal the end of it (I use LED resin).
The basic theory is the same no matter the size, so you can also use this technique to make bigger rolling bags too.
#Once I finally nail down the fabric ones I am going to do a proper write up tutorial of them#I have made like 20 already and have a half dozen good ones#but I am going to try using regular interfacing and just a boring old glue stick#just as soon as I can get some regular old interfacing#I just had to take a photo of this one anyway for when I inevitably lose that one scrap of paper#that is literally the whole pattern#this doesn't count as a sewing pattern but I need the words here to search for it later
