There's no pretending with me. When I put on makeup and step in a wonderful dress, I give credit to the people that made me look like that, and I also want my fans to know that a) I don’t look like that all the time and b) I also have stress acne, and I also have hairy eyebrows and I also have greasy hair. I’ve always thought that was a way better way to do it. Just be honest and open — then no one has to call you out for anything. You are who you are.

For this first fem v friday, nothing fancy, just my prettiest girl around in her favorite place. New year, same pink queen around ♥♥

It's hard to believe she's had over 6 months off and hasn't jumped since last fall. She didn't put a foot wrong our last ride. She got the right distance for every jump, landed on the correct lead 100% of the time, hit nothing, and didn't over or under jump anything. She was actually better than the last time, as then she jumped short a few times and also over jumped a couple of times. 🤣 Very proud of her and grateful she's not the type of horse that needs to be retrained after not being ridden for a long time.

Also can we admire her tail? Since when is so white and long and luscious? I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Hello! I certainly hope to provide it soon; certainly the information available in English is not as deep as we'd like, but allow me to present a little (well, less obscure but hilarious) fun fact I was able to dig up.

Apparently, Stanisława had a little trouble with a maid employed at the household she was renting; as she recalls herself in a letter to Helena Barlińska dated as 9th March 1929 (and please excuse me if the translation is confusing - I don't understand what she means in the original at times), that's how the little story goes:

But the pandaemonium of youth is the lesser evil.  On the other hand, what’s unbearable is the singing of the maid responsible for breakfasts. She (a nice blond creature, by the way) arrives at half past eight in the morning; she leaves at half past three and all this time, all-this-time, except for the pauses she makes when young men loosen her up in her creation of hell, she howls and squeaks the same four beats of the same song, no change, no break, no rhythm, no sense.  At times it will make me hysterical (et ce n'est pas peux dire, because I have nerves like strings) that I will start to roar something myself. At least I do it rhythmically.  L'internationale, la Marseillaise and one original composition to Chesterton's wonderful revolutionary song.  But that doesn't bother her. I sing my songs; she sings hers. Only louder, to get over the shouting of the other. Christ!!!
