I think, that most people forget that Fontaine is based off of France mostly, so, Neuvillette, he would probably be a dragon with huge ass wings, unlike Zhongli with his snakey body, so, just, like, Neuvillette hugging you so nicely and putting his wings around you

Dude fought against and defeated at least one hundred of the world's strongest swordsmen and just added their styles to his own. He was so dedicated that he cut his own hand to better match an opponent's fighting style and then just replaced it with a sword. And he's so fucking gay for his boss / best friend. When he was a teenager he promised not to cut his hair until his friend is the boss of their family (they're mafia assassins) and as you can see this still hasn't happened, no matter how impractical this choice is. But the hair still never gets cut. And why do you as a man have a wound that hurts whenever your best friend is in danger?
He is the Sword Emperor! He even cut his left hand and replaced it with a sword to understand the sword style of the previous Sword Emperor! As for the gay part, he has promised to his boss (Xanxus) that he won't cut his hair until Xanxus reach his goal (becoming the Vongola's Boss), and has an undying loyalty to the point that even when Xanxus abandoned his goal, Squalo didn't cut his hair because of that promise!
For Runaan:
Runaan is a Moonshadow elf, and the deadliest assassin in all of Xadia. His artificer husband Ethari crafted his magical bowblade - a bow that splits into two swords - and at the command of the Dragon Throne, Runaan stealths into the human lands to take out dangerous enemies without risking any extra lives on either side.
Has a weapon that can transition between being used as a bow and blades. Said bowblade was made by his blacksmith husband, who also fights with him. He's also disabled in fanon and is canonically a foster father. Also he's hot.
He's the leader of an elite group of Moonshadow assassins, the deadliest assassin force in their world. He fights with a bowblade (dual wielding swords that, when attached at the hilts, turns into a bow). It is the COOLEST weapon ever! Runaan was the only survivor when he and his team infiltrated Katolis Castle to successfully kill the king. He's canonically gay and has a husband, who is a blacksmith/craftsman and makes the weapons his husband wields. Runaan is a very intense man, but he's such a softie when around his husband.
He definitely uses one or two sword type things, and the episode his husband first shows up in is one of my favorites

i have some opinion about f/f fics... i watched few episode of house of dragons and Alicent / Rhaenyra shown as friends in the same age and both of their mother died so their kinda close and at first it was quite popular but later on ofc story changed their relationship and ship kinda become infamous... the amount of hate this ship gets is so unreal... i dont even know what it is... even when u make a silly joke about them having sexual tension or whatever the fandom takes it so seriously like i never seen that with mlm ships
it's internalized misogyny and just straight up bullying within female dominated spaces anon, and I really do roll my eyes at all the self proclaimed sapphics who insist that f/f ships just don't have the same fandoms as m/m.
first off, depending on the show, if more straight women are watching it than men or wlw, then yes.
straight women will gravitate towards straight or gay ships. they're attracted to men, and they make up the majority of the population. I'm sorry, but the truth is not always what we'd like to hear.
but also there are plenty of goddamn wlw ships that do real well here.

A holiday bonus means you can finally get a VR headset and start playing one of those hub like chatting games like VR chat. You originally pick a default girl avatar that you like the most, she had cool hair but none really spoke to you. With time and knowing the community you pick out more avatars to play as and start getting really into it, losing any jetlag you originally had when wearing the console for long periods of time. Of course, you're still responsible, go to bed on time and all, but it becomes a fun hobby of yours to meet other people.
One day while looking at models online, you find a male avatar that you think looks absolutely incredible. The modeler's style is great, the clothes he's in and his hairstyle is right up your alley, and he's got just the perfect body to gawk at in one of those mirror rooms you like to hang out in. But, he's a boy model, clearly. You think about if it would be weird to put this on, but you've seen dudes playing as E cupped furries as wide as they are tall. You've seen grown women playing as NPC slimes from Dragon Quest. You once saw a guy with a Snoopy avatar pulled from a PS2 game who was incredibly committed to the silent bit; to say the least you quickly reconciled that in VR other people won't care about what skin you have on, male or female.
Maybe it's because it's your first time playing as such an attractive character, maybe it's the allure of people hearing your high pitched voice come out of his mouth, but that night you talked to so many new people and made so many new friends. After all, the avatar is really hot. Your hair color is the same, his is in a short but shaggy style that you'd worry about being able to pull off though. It's fun to watch your movements translate to his, how you can twist your hands and snap your fingers through his bigger and broader hands. You don't have full body tracking in your setup, as you enjoy sitting and blissing out while you play, but with strangers coming up to you asking to be stepped on it may have to be something you consider.
You have so much fun, he becomes your go to avatar. It's just a model, it's not like people will start acting like you're a boy! As time passes, you spend less time playing normal games and more time in VR. Forget about leaving the house, you've become so addicted to the attention you get in your VR community that you try to minimize human contact as much as possible. People stop seeing you, they probably would be shocked at how badly you're keeping yourself. 'A demure young woman shouldn't dress like a slob,' they'd say, probably. They didn't know how handsome the people online say you are.
They don't know how with time, less and less players recognize you as a girl. Your username is largely ambiguous, but you overhear he's and hims tossed about in reference to you all the time. You don't correct it, that takes time and effort, and it's not like they're misgendering you to attack you. You play as a boy, they call you a boy, you should reason that you had this coming. Sometimes, you try to sell it to fuck with people, throwing your voice down or using a filter to mask it. Sometimes, you forget to turn the filter off for days, it's not like it makes that big of a difference right? It just makes your voice sound a few tones lower.
Your online identity wins you compliments all the time, people constantly IM you thristing and fiending for a chance to RP or hangout. You reject what doesn't suit you and hang out with the degenerates who treat you fairly. They go one about how you're the hottest man they have ever met, and you remember for just a moment that you aren't supposed to be. God, you're a girl, this has to be a lie, what are you doing?
You wake up the next morning and stumble into the bathroom. You look yourself over in the mirror, your eyes are a bit worn and tired from the extended gaming sessions. Besides the fact that you had breasts, you weren't any sort of shining example of what a "woman" could be. Not to say that you had to maintain yourself to have some self-worth, but taking yourself in in this state felt wrong. Something about the image before you felt, uncannily, completely wrong.
You go to the kitchen, take a pair of scissors, and run back to the bathroom. You've dedicated many play hours to staring at your favorite avatar, surely you can replicate his haircut in the mirror by now.

We are two days before the Pokemon DLC and although i will not buy it i also do enjoy the Pokemon worldbuilding/lore so my big hot theory on Terapagos is that it and the Tera Phenomenon specifically manifests dreams and turns them into reality.
We already have all the implications from the Paradox Pokemon being born from the professors dreams of an ancient/future world, but also I want to look at a bunch of the promo materials/events surrounding it: Gen 5 has been weirdly hinted at a bunch of times throughout Scarlet/Violets lifespan so far, with things like Ingo in Legends Arceus (as well as a bunch of the ancestors + the portrait of ancient Alder), the focus on the Tao Trio in the DLC trailer showing off past Legendaries & the DLC itself having us actually go to Unova, the introduction of the Treasures Of Ruin as the rivals to the Forces Of Nature genies, and the hinting of a new Pokemon mainline game coming in early 2024 (dear god Nintendo just let Gamefreak rest) supposedly being a Legends Unova game, there's been a whole bunch of Gen 5 hints scattered throughout.
The main story behind the Tao Trio is that there was once an Original Dragon who shared its power with two brothers, but when the two brothers clashed between their truth and ideals, the dragon could not decide and split itself in two, becoming Zekrom and Reshiram and leaving behind Kyurem as the empty husk that was once their body.
I think Terapagos is another fraction of this equation, specifically the dream of the Original Dragon itself to have truth and ideals (the two brothers) reconcile and coexist once more, because while truth and ideals are fundamentally incompatible, dreams can make the impossible happen. It can make a paradox exist. This would also work thematically: Zekrom and Reshiram, of course, represent the Yin and Yang, the literal black and white of their namesakes. Kyurem, however, isn't representative of the balance between the two, but actually gray, the concept of Wuji, which represents both infinity and nothingness, the absence of yin and yang and equally the limitless infinite potential born from it, the way that Kyurem is constantly freezing itself because its genetics are incredibly volatile and constantly evolving, especially when it absorbs one of its fragments. I think Terapagos is representative of Taiji, the idea of balance between Yin and Yang.
Yin and Yang originate from Wuji (infinite nothingness) and become Taiji (supreme ultimateness). So, Kyurem is the "nothing" left behind by the Original Dragon, which, when combined with Zekrom and Kyurem (Yin and Yang), would then achieve their supreme/original form, representative of Terapagos (ultimateness).
These Chinese inspirations would line up actually, since the Forces Of Nature and the Treasures Of Ruin are also references to Chinese mythology, specifically The Four Symbols and The Four Perils.
Terapagos and Kyurem also share a very weird similarity: they're both vessels for a greater power with the implication that they themselves are not truly alive (Terapagos' baby form enhanced by Terastalization + the Area 0 note and Kyurem being a literal frozen corpse, an empty shell of great potential for Zekrom/Reshiram's power).
There's also another dimension to this (literally): the fucked up crystal monsters from space and how they relate to the Pokemon world
The Original Dragon which split into Zekrom, Reshiram and Kyurem was also originally from a meteorite which came from space, so I believe that Terapagos, being part of it, was also from space (esp given its depiction in the Scarlet/Violet book as being among space and the stars).
Now you may be wondering "hey dude why is Zygarde up there, it isn't from space, what gives?" well I have an answer for that and why it's related.
Zygarde is the Pokemon planet's own natural born giant crystal guardian monster.
The same way that Necromza was once the god of Ultra Megalopolis and shared its light before being drained, Zygarde is a similar entity born on the Pokemon planet made to protect it. They're all, after all, composed of interlocking crystal parts and are essentially incomplete beings reshaping themselves when in their baser forms, with Terapagos also being composed of interlocking hexagonal parts in a similar manner as Zygarde.
Alright, so we've established a whole bunch of world building lore, but what's the big deal about it? Well, let's talk about Eternatus, The Darkest Day, and Infinity Energy next.
The Darkest Day is an event where Eternatus came to Galar from a meteorite in order to steal all of its energy. However, Zacian and Zamazenta appeared to protect Galar and were able to defeat it, sealing it away before Rose awakened it to try and bring about another Darkest Day to resolve Galar's future energy crisis. However, a key point to this is that the reason WHY Eternatus was stealing energy is because it was trying to keep itself alive after having LOST all of its energy, with its Eternamax form being closer to what Eternatus' actual form should be compared to the skeleton dragon we see.
And the Wishing Stones and Power Spots, which are what allow Pokemon to Dynamax, are incredibly similar to both the Mega Evolution stones and the Z-Crystals, which in themselves are fragments of The Ultimate Weapon and Ultra Necrozma respectively: Fragments of incredible power which are the building blocks to a space-originating Pokemon's original form. When Ultra Necrozma had its original light stolen by the ancestors of the Ultra Recon Squad, it shattered, opening Ultra Wormholes which spread the Z-Crystals (fragments of its original body) across Alola and allowing people to tap into Z-Power. Similarly, the Mega Stones were made after The Ultimate Weapon was fired and spread the life energy (Xernas/Yveltal/Zygardes powers) across Kalos, which mutated the landscape and developed Mega Stones. And in ORAS, The Devon Corporation specifically calls out this phenomenon from Kalos as the origin of Infinity Energy, the literal life energy of Pokemon.
Another key aspect to this is that this extreme level of energy, as well as Eternatus' own Pokedex entry, make note that this can even warp space-time as a consequence, which is likely why Ultra Wormholes are so common in Alola despite being a miracle occurrence: The fragments of Necrozma's body are constantly exuding this energy, which makes space-time unstable. It's also likely the reason as to why the Hoopa portals and Mirage Islands appear in ORAS, with Devon's use of Infinity Energy being the cause for these distortions to appear.
Alright, so what does any and all of this have to do with Terapagos?
Well, I think Terapagos is one of these crystal energy repository Pokemon, specifically the infinite energy source for the Original Dragon that all of these space crystal Pokemon also utilize. As well, the splitting of the Original Dragon caused the Terastal Phenomenon to occur, spreading across Paldea in the distant past as Terapagos laid dormant in the deepest recesses of Area 0. We know that Paldea is directly connected to Kalos, and us going to Unova likely means that it's close by as well, especially when Zekrom/Reshiram on their own are described to have enough power to cover the entire globe.
The Terastal Phenomenon wasn't really able to make the professor's time machine work, because while the high amounts of energy can warp spacetime, the professor misunderstood how to use it: Rather, because the professor dreamed of a world of ancient/future Pokemon, the Terastal Phenomenon made the Paradox Pokemon by channeling the energy into the professor's machine. As well, the Terastal Phenomenon works by manifesting dreams with the use of Tera Crystals, which envelop the Pokemon/Person who uses it, so a Pokemon, which is composed of Infinity Energy and controls the typing/energy of its moves, can alter their type in this way with an appropriate amount of Tera Shards of a different type.
In our hypothetical Legends Unova game, I bet that we'll see the Original Dragon, which wields so much energy that when it splits, it'll create the Tera Phenomenon. Given that the Treasures Of Ruin are not originally from Paldea (they may have been brought there by Volo, but all we know is that it was a travelling merchant), and that Paldea itself was under the control of the Paldean Empire (which is why it has that name in the modern day), it's even possible that the kingdom that Team Plasma tried to establish may have been inspired by/are the remnants of this original Paldean Kingdom, with N being the new modern day king chosen by Ghetsis, who was actually part of this ancient lineage. It's very likely that Terapagos is not originally from Paldea.
Paldea, connected to Kalos and Unova, could have even been the battleground of the two brothers when the Original Dragon split, creating the Great Crater and leaving Terapagos there, the remnants of the dream of the Original Dragon for the two brothers to reconcile.
I think a very interesting little promotion for the lead up to Part 2 of the DLC is that players, via Mystery Gift, were randomly given a Darkrai, a Pokemon meant to embody nightmares. I think that this is a little teaser hint to Terapagos, and the Terastal Phenomenon as a whole, being able to control and manifest dreams.
And that dreams coming true aren't always a good thing. They may even spell disaster if the infinite energy they possess goes out of control and envelopes the world. If Zekrom can envelop the world in an ultimate truth and Reshiram can envelop it with an ultimate ideal, both of them scorching it to ashes, then perhaps Terapagos can envelop it in an eternal dream, an eternally frozen crystal, similar to how Kyurem can cover an entire region and potentially the planet in an eternal blizzard.
So basically. This is what's going down in the grand scheme of things

ARC Review: Consort of Fire by Kit Rocha
4.25/5. Releases 11/28/2023.
Vibes: a complex love triangle, handmaiden/princess, arranged marriage, dragon heroes that fuck, and enemies to lovers with actual stakes.
Princess Sachielle is betrothed to the Dragon, a god feared for killing his previous consort a century prior. What the Dragon doesn't know is that she's been charged with killing him--and her own life is forfeit if she fails. He also doesn't know that Sachi's handmaiden and lover, Zanya, is much more than she seems. And neither Sachi nor Zanya expected their very different connections with the Dragon--or his determination to win both of them.
It's not easy to find FFM menage romances, and of course, it's therefore even harder to find good ones that don't treat the women as side dishes next to a hero entree. But this? This is really fucking good. And it's really good fantasy romance, at that. If the other dragon romance book (which I personally liked as well) was too light or tame for you--this uh... will not be that. This one is wild, and it is the beginning of a series--while this isn't exactly a cliffhanger, it doesn't end in a fully resolved manner, and I'm excited to see what comes next.
Quick Takes:
--Menage romances often favor one bond over the other; while I love them in general, I find many that do not... work. Here, it's pitched perfectly--and I suspect some of that has to do with the fact that we still have some story to tell, and development to watch unfold. Zanya and Sachi have a very established, loving, and passionate long-term relationship, and that is never in question in this book (despite the necessity of them keeping it a secret, initially). Sachi and Ash (of course the Dragon goes by Ash) have an immediate chemistry and physical attraction, which puts a real wrench in the "I'm here to kill him" thing. It only deepens into something more as they spend time together, with Zanya looking on--not quite un-jealous, but not really threatened either.
Zanya and Ash's interplay might have been my favorite, though. She is determined to keep Sachi safe no matter what, and she is vicious. Ash? Loves and relates to both of those things. The very literal sparring scenes between these two? So hot. And while I feel very sure about the dynamic between Sachi and Zanya and Sachi and Ash, these two still have a ways to go. Zanya is a hard character, with many emotional walls (and her reasons are super valid). Ash, on the other hand, is all heat--and while he's initially determined to make nice with Zanya because of his feelings for Sachi, over the course of the book you feel him become more interested in her, and excited to get to know her better and be with her for the long term. Zanya? Still needs some convincing. I am pumped to see how he wins her over.
--The way sexuality is handled in this book is so casual, and I fucking love that. Really, the main obstacle to Sachi and Zanya being together in public is related to class and Sachi's duty to marry Ash. The gods they meet are pretty much universally bisexual, and Ash's previous consort was a prince, not a princess, which doesn't seem unusual or remarked upon.
--I think it would be very easy for Ash to come off as a "just happy to be there" guy, because Zanya and Sachi have such a strong love, and such an established relationship. But he's really so lovable, so patient with both of them (well, Sachi has to be more patient in their case--he's very worried about hurting her) and so charmingly teasing. Like, he's a protective dangerous dragon guy (and to be clear: for most of the book, Ash is totally this big hot man dude, he shifts separately into a dragon form) but he's also just? A good guy?
--I loved the world of the gods and their mythology. It's fun, it's hedonistic, I identified several cool characters I'd love to see find love in their own books, and it feels like they're both... above humanity and sweetly emotional. It's a hard balance to strike, but I think they got it in this one. (Fun fact: Kit Rocha is a pen name for two friends.)
--In terms of "how fantasy is this and how romance is this" it's a romance novel, despite the fact that it doesn't end on a totally resolved note (I trust that will come in the future). But the fantasy is strong without being too hard to follow. I feel like fantasy purists who are Very Vocal On Twitter may complain about the level of fantasy in this but like. The world was very much solid enough for me. I got it. It was the right balance for me, as a romance reader, and I refuse to accept romantasy as a thing unless it defines itself better, because it feels like fantasy romance is all I really need to know about.
The Sex:
Um, one of the hottest books I've read in a while. It takes a bit before you get to the first sex scene, but once it gets going it's going. Most of the sex scenes involve all three parties in one way or the other. Sachi is absolutely a brat with both of her partners, and frankly, we love to see it.
One thing I really loved was the evolution of Zanya's role in the sexual aspect of the relationship. We see that she and Sachi have very defined roles in bed, they know each others' bodies so well. Ash is respectful of that, as he is respectful in general--and he's willing to learn from both Sachi and Zanya (and I get the impression that while both of them are clearly bi, neither has much or any experience with men due to their longstanding, presumably monogamous involvement with each other). He's such a great example of writing a romance hero who's like... an animal where it counts, but so respectful of consent and so willing to be taught. So, as time passes, you see Zanya's more dominant side come out with Ash as well, and the way in which she begins to shift her focus from just Sachi to Sachi and Ash. Which of course, very much aligns with the fact that she's catching feelings. Oops!
I can't give away too much, but--there is one sex scene towards the end of the book that is just. Beyond.
Like I said, it's kind of hard to find FFM, and I jumped on this book because I was so excited to see that--and of course, I want to read more fantasy romance. I'm really happy with where it's going, and I look forward to the next book.

Its a fully homebrewed one that I really need to rework. it's nearly 3 years old now and I've only done about 4 sessions. I'm the GM, although I'm still improving my storytelling skills. I'm a fic writer, improv is NOT my strong suit.
There's a lot I've written down, and so I really want to give a very basic overview of my ideas, so I'll just throw it all below this cut and you all can ask questions if you want. But this is going to be LONG winded and probably not make any sense.
Gods:
I made too many of them, and they only really make sense to me. Lore wise, they didn't make this world. They found it. They didn't know something was here before them, and don't realise its REALLY angry that they've claimed domains and stolen its power. In terms of the gods currently in charge, we've got:
Dark and Black (2 facets of darkness, and they might just be the same dude.)
Frost, Snow, and Glacier (again, facets of Winter, might all be the same thing)
Death (fr just mumza, ill be honest)
Sky and Air (air's the winds, skys the ..sky, and also gets the trickster archetype)
Light (all my homies hate light, they're dangerous and bored)
Water (dead)
Locations (only the interesting ones):
Winter: winter trio's domain, noone can survive there.
Frozen Woods: also winter trio's domain. a snowy forest of ginormous, and i mean BIG, petrified trees. the petrification all happened at the same time, isn't that weird.
The Dark: Dark and/or Blacks domain, they fought over it a long time ago but noone knows who won. The place is surrounded by mountains and is full of glowy crystals. It also should be super cold but theres thermo vents under it and also hot springs around.
Creeping Wastes: Death's domain, but used to be Dark and/or Black's. Lore wise, it used to be part of The Dark. They share part of the mountains and its also surrounded by mountains but has a little access to the ocean. The people don't know this though, since something happened that put a blight over the entire land to the point nothing can live there. Fun!
Shrouded Peaks: Air's domain. It's a bunch of mountains that form like a horseshoe that faces out onto the ocean. Its really cool and misty there.
The Exiled: A few island off the coast of the Shrouded Peaks. Noone knows what its like over there but that's where bad people get sent. Ya know, ethically!
The Blinding Desert: Light's domain. Used to be all lush like The Wildlands (forest), but something happened and noooow its a desert. woohoo. Noone really goes there if they can help it because theres a river in the way. Beyond that is the Shores but they arnt toooo interesting right now.
Creatures:
Dark Satyrs. When Dark and Black fought over The Dark (and what's now the Wastes), the energy infested the crystals that were growing there, and the Dark Satyrs popped out! They still pop out of the glowy crystals, and the crystals grow on their bodies. That's how they denote families, too, since they aren't related by blood, but instead by vein!
Dragons: I'm not going to do my funky spelling for these for everyone's sake (Dragoens) but this pretty much where the egg's designs come from for me. they're like reptile people with no wings and feathery tails and shoulders. They were made by Air and given funky patterns and colors by Light. They live on the shrouded peaks in big groups. They can fly, even without wings, by bending the energy around them. But they think it comes from the gods specifically, so they're very religious. Oh, also they have 2 sets of horns! the top set is pretty similar to the satyr's horns, but the second set come out a bit behind the ears and curl down towards the front usually.
Ice Fairies: again, I won't do the funny spelling for you all (Faeries). They were made by the winter trio, and live in the frozen woods. They've hollowed out homes in the trunks and decorate the trees. the faries have twisty horns on the tops of their heads and big ol delicate wings on their backs. if the wings get hurt they CAN heal, but it'll come back discolored. the discoloration depends on their diet though, so they have some fun risky tattooing the do sometimes.
Stone Golems: Death got sad that it couldn't create life, so it carved some golems out of "living stone" from the Wastes. It used some left over soul material from the dead to animate them. They can't really die, but they also don't have enough of a soul to pass on if they do, so they bond their soul with another's so they can pass on with them and go back home to Death :]. Its like c!Skeppy and c!Bad, but the other way around. Stone Golems have a very close relationship with their soul bond, and can read their emotions and stuff.
There's more creatures that I'll quickly sum up, like Candles (failed creature by Light), Prisms (like a siren made of colors. by Light), Black Ice (Big monster in the sea by Dark and Glacier), Walker Wraiths/Darsite Husks (sleepwalking demon -> modified creature that took its body but really isn't all that bad if you know how it works), Shadows (lost souls because of improper reaping), Crystal Golems (long story, but the Wastes WERE a part of the Dark so you know) and definitely some more that I can't think of.

I am an artist who is striving to be a character designer one day! I love DND and rpg games, I dance and sing in my room by myself, and I use my imagination more than I think is healthy. I am queer, and I want to make friends, but I tend to be quite odd to talk with, so that is mostly a problem. I very much hate math too and I am not a morning person (very much a night owl)
Lemme tell you, this one took me on a RIDE- a flimflamming, tossing and turning, back and forth ride with loop de loops. I had to think incredibly hard about this, so it is with hard won assurance when I say you and Ollie must be together.
Being a Type Four, the Individualist, your imaginary friend, and wanting to make friends gives me the image of someone who’s kind of lonely, if I may say so? Ollie wouldn’t let that continue, because he personifies loyal, sweet, simple companionship like no other Redacted boi. Making friends would be so easy and natural with him by your side, integrating your lives together, introducing you to his cat, inviting you to board game nights with his friends. A life with him would be very full.
It would also be so fun! I think another reason y’all would get along so well is that y’all like a lot of the same things! I can just imagine y’all sharing character playlists for your campaigns, exchanging little TTRPG memes, getting little Cattywumpus footsteps all over your character sheets because y’all left them on the coffee table. When you’re not out with your TTRPG friends, you’re having lots of cozy nights in, chilling on the couch, Ollie kissing your cheek as he watches you draw over your shoulder.

I just think if there are dragons ON THE COVER OF YOUR BOOK, the inside should reflect that. Pros to Fourth Wing dragons: they were at least semi friendly. Cons to FW dragons: they were hardly there at all and not important to the plot. You could take them out and nothing about the book would change.
Pros to TPOTOT dragons: pretty plot relevant! Many dofferent kinds of them! Cons to TPOTOT dragons: hardly there in the 800 pages, and also when they were they were MEAN.
Secretly Evil But Not And We Know Because They're Hot is a common trope in urban fantasy, romance, romantic fantasy, and a lot of YA too. It's not one I like because like. Hotness is subjective but I also understand what society means as Attractive and by Non Attractive its usually. Scars. Big Noses. Hair loss. Disabilities. Gives me the ick :) The thing about Xaden though is simple! he wasnt written well because the book isnt well written!

11. If they had a pet or magical familiar as in ESO (excluding the dogs in Skyrim) what creature would it be?
So!! First off-- he does actually have a horse. Her name is Cinnamon and he gets her in Windhelm to travel to Winterhold. And second off, in Heavenfall, before we saw Etheara at all he was established to have a service animal for mental health reasons since he seemed to struggle w psychosis and would steal from the library & then lock himself in his dorm for days on end. The way I'm translating this is by using a nix-hound!
They're native to Morrowind, and physically massive enough to get in the way of Etheara engaging w his triggers (books). Also look at it. That thing's got 0 brain cells <3
14. What is their personal favourite place in Skyrim- a town, hold, home, dungeon, or just a natural spot they happen to have a fondness for?
Etheara loves the hot springs by Windhelm! I'm p sure he hates the cold, so he also loves the areas closer to the Cyrodiil border, too, like Falkreath. I think the dude needs to relax a little bit though, so, while I haven't actually played through a game where he spends much time there, I like to imagine him & his little party chillin over there together :)
18. Your Dragonborn is now an actual dragon- what do they look like? Do they possess any unique features or abilities?
[GRIPS THIS] So I went and did a bunch of research on the anatomy of TES dragons because I wanted to describe a unique take on it. So first, let's start with a serpentine dragon base:
But rather than blue undertones, I would want green undertones I think.
Next, I'd want him to have more eyes because of his strong connections to Hermaeus Mora. More on his face for sure; but I think I'd want it to be a situation where the more you look, the more you realize that he is covered in them. Maybe they're mostly closed; but I think that whenever they open, they are off looking in a different direction for a second before centring on You, y'know?
Idk I think I would also want him to bleed black goop. I'm not 100% sure about any special abilities but something that drains Intelligence would probably be really fitting :)
27. If your Dragonborn were an in-game boss fight, what would their lair be like? What enemies would help them in the fight (if any) and what quest might lead to another hero having to fight them?
I LOVE THIS QUESTION because here's the thing: Etheara does actually have a "boss fight" in Memoir Maormer.
Some context for that is that I found Ancano to be an extremely entertaining but also an extremely shallow and stupid character, boring in every way other than personality. So I wanted to spice him up. I presented him with a character to bounce off of (Kyryi, the Maormer in question), and I gave him motivation for him to do the things he does. Is "motivation" the right word? I fleshed out his actual thoughts and feelings on the Thalmor's goals and considered how much he knew about their end goals AND considered how much he agreed with those end goals; I thought about his loyalty to them and his specific placement at the college- Idk I thought about a lot of things.
What I came up with is, I think, extremely interesting-- but this is not about what I've done to Ancano, this is about Etheara! So part of the reason Ancano responds the way he does to the Eye of Magnus is because of Etheara-- because Etheara is being influenced/watched by Hermaeus Mora, and that maddening drive to acquire knowledge is contagious & exacerbated by sheer nature of being at a school. Ancano and Etheara, who have exactly none emotional intelligence, are both very deeply affected by the Vibes. So they both become obsessive and territorial over the Eye, and it's their informal rivalry on the matter that provokes Ancano to act in the College.
But as I said in my previous post, Etheara is not the hero of this story-- he stays right by the Eye himself, locked in a stalemate with Ancano. It's Kyryi that takes off to Labyrinthian to acquire the Staff; and when he gets back, Etheara has bested Ancano and is looking to take the Eye's secrets for himself (/Hermaeus Mora). So Kyryi fights Etheara in this situation.
BUT! That's not what this exercise is about-- that's just genuinely part of his story.
I think if he had a lair, it would take the shape of a Telvanni mushroom tower; but when entered, is dizzyingly bigger on the inside. Same vibes as when you go into any of the Vivec City compounds for the first time. He would reside at the top of the tower, but getting there would involve solving a lot of puzzles (and that's probably why he's trapped at the top; he could not solve those puzzles himself lmao). The closer you get to the top, the more everything starts to look like Apocrypha-- the walls start to be made out of books; the lighting is green; there is a black ooze on the ground and I imagine there's an acrid scent in the air.
I think that he would be able to summon Seekers to help him fight :) That would be cool
The story that I imagine leading up to this would be an AU where either Kyryi denies Etheara when he asks for help, or one where Etheara never asks for help at all. Etheara's greatest flaw is that he sees himself too much as the "helper friend" to ever let himself be helped in kind-- so as time goes on and his connections to Apocrypha strengthen and his grip on reality weakens, he ends up in a position where he has one last chance to ask for help before his mind-- before the holes in his psyche can never be repaired.
The reason he has this crisis of conscience is because his travels have lead him back to Solstheim, back to a place that looks and feels like home; and has, coincidentally, lead him back to Kyryi. He doesn't remember the end of what happened at the College; but he remembers Kyryi's unique ability. Surrounded by this familiarity, and the certainty of being seen, Etheara is able to pull himself together for a couple of days. His travelling companion at the time, Melanarto, goes to Kyryi and begs him to help-- and in exchange, Melanarto will pull some strings with the sailing company he used to work for in order to get Kyryi back home to Pyandonea.
Kyryi turns down the offer, unless Etheara himself asks him for help. He is not eager to get involved in Etheara's business again-- not after almost losing Ancano. In this AU, Etheara either wouldn't ever ask him; OR Etheara asks him, and he turns it down anyways. So Kyryi never goes home; and him and Ancano are taking refuge in Solstheim, hiding from the Thalmor.
Years and years later, the contagious effect that was seen at the College is ravaging Solstheim-- particularly Raven Rock. And I think Ancano would once again start to succumb; and in a horrific way, he sees and knows what is happening to him, but there would be nothing he could do to prevent this. And Kyryi, watching the love of his life twist this way, would find the strength to go after Etheara, and put an end to him once and for all.
I think that he would have to make the first move against Etheara. I think he's surrounded by books, swirling in a tempest all around him that he looks over, not understanding, flitting back and forth and holding the information without absorbing any of it. But ultimately, Etheara is a pacifist at heart, so he wouldn't attack you for entering his space; he wouldn't attack you if you spoke to him, or disturbed him, or even attacked him directly-- no, you'd need to hit him where it hurts: the only friends he has left: his books.

It specifically forces Ancano to reflect on his biases and come to terms w#the fact that he is not a good person. He has to grapple with his own fascist ideals and dispel them#He has to acknowledge WHY what happened at the College happened; why his sense of superiority was targeted to force him to act in That Way#AAA explodes#Idk I'm probably going to stick with my first thought because I think I like it more. Like it speaks to me more as a story#But MAN. This tragedy AU is making me insane also <3

🥵 : Is your OC perceived as physically attractive to others? Is it at first glance or is it something that takes more time to reach fruition?
Aydee: I think... yes? More then 'hot as hell', she's perceived as being cute and endearing. There's a mix of cute and weird that people find interesting. She likes to experiment a lot with clothes and fashion, so she puts effort into her style, and likes doing so. She knows her body and style and that helps her putting on outfits that flatter her!
Arihel: Yes, even though he still finds it weird to hear. He was always a bit insecure about his body and his size especially, Arihel grew up in Eorzea where there aren't any xaela around, so he was always the 'big dragon looking guy' that stuck out like a sore thumb compared to the population of Hyur, Miqo'te and lalafells. Being especially shy and timid in his youth made sticking out in the crowd like this especially unbereable. It got better when he grew up and got more confident / learned to care less about people's gazes and opinions, but he still get surprised if people tell him he's handsome or something. He doesn't think he's anything special, he's like 'I'm just a dude' LOL
😍 : What does your OC find irresistible in others?
Aydee: More than something physical, Aydee gets really attracted to certain parts of people's personalities, little quirks and specific details she finds really endearing. She really likes shy/reserved people, because she can be a bit mischevious and tease and flirt with them and make them flustered, or very stoic people that hide a heart of gold inside. Teasing these kind of people and making them melt in private is probably the thing she likes the most, no matter the gender/physical attributes of the person.
If she has to choose something physical: Elezen. Necks. And Ears.
Arihel: People that have a more self assured/ resolute personality than him, smart people that know a lot and explain things to you making you feel a bit like a little bitch idiot (affectionately).

I have officially watched all of rosado's supports and some of them in Japanese, and it is incredible how they just didn't translate some parts? I need a transcript to confirm, but I'm pretty sure rosado uses 中性 to describe his townsfolk... that means gender neutral, literally the kanji for medium/middle + sex/gender
he also specifically mentions cutesy men and cool women, confirming people from his village are not just cute but in general showcase different types of beauty, regardless of gender (and yes! he also says the "regardless of gender" part in Japanese too! I love him sm)
there's also the first support with louis which I think is really funny because the ENGLISH VERSION JUST REMOVED TJE PART WITH "EVEN THOUGH I'M A BOY????" LMFAO
I imagine because they thought it was offensive or something? but I think it makes sense, fogado said to celine the firenese appear unsociable and closed off to those from other lands, closed off being the key word here
rosado obviously doesn't care about gender, much less his own, and he clearly doesn't even care when people find him cute and stare at him, he was quite comfortable with seadall and fogado staring, so he was probably just surprised a firenese (*he probs doesn't know mauvier was firenese, he doesn't seem to talk about that too much) would find him please to look at as well, much less on the level louis was staring lol
also, I think in general the Japanese version was cuter, cuz it has louis explicitly saying he doesn't give a shit about gender/sex :3
(also my HC is currently that rosado is a fem transmasc and merrin a masc transfem... balanced, as all things should be)

I'm Standing on a Million Lives - Volume 15
I'm impressed that this series has made it this far. Literally no one talks about it, but there are much dumber things being published, so I guess it deserves its spot. It's definitely a mixed bag of highs and lows, but I'm mostly enjoying the ride. Still have no clue how many volumes there's going to be. No end in sight yet.
Ch. 70
Iu is goin badass mode and I'm loving it. Kinda giving Joan of Arc vibes.
The disconnect between Iu casually chopping off someone's fingers in one panel and then freaking out because she killed someone in the next was pretty wacky. Like...girl...what did you think was going to happen? Either way, I guess she got over the shock pretty quick because by the end of the chapter she's just slaughtering everyone lol.
It's kind of surprising that it took the characters this long to be worshipped for their immortality/resurrection ability. Then again, I guess living long isn't as rare in this world since there are sorcerers and dragon bishops and what not.
Ch. 71
This chapter was 100% fantasy politics. It was a struggle reading through all those silly made up names, but there were some interesting nuggets here and there.
We're jumping from one hot button to the next, first was human trafficking as seen in...many places, and next was attacks on journalistic freedom which the characters compare to recent events in Hong Kong.
I hope they give the new girl more to do than be a genki background character. She's on the cover after all! I will say her singing Immigrant Song was pretty hilarious. Certified Shrek moment.
It's kinda funny how this world/game uses community service as its goal. It's not like a twisted death game where you have to kill the other players you just have to...contribute to society lol. I guess that's what makes it interesting because the challenges take a lot more brain/strategy than a death game or RPG-style game might.
Ch. 72
Eh, this chapter was kinda messy. Overall I enjoyed it, but why did they have to bring in a damn awkward narrator every two seconds!? The mangaka does this occasionally and it drives me nuts. This story does not need a narrator and it definitely doesn't need one spelling out exactly what's going on to the reader! It took me out of the story every time. :(
I did like Iu's internal struggle and her analysis of the tricky spot she's been put in. As I've said before, this mangaka is skilled at explaining difficult concepts (politics, sociology, war strategy etc.)
Thank God they sent Glen to help Iu and not Yusuke. This way it's a child asking an adult for help and not a "dumb" woman needing a man. Also, Iu needed Glen because she's emotionally intelligent (unlike Yusuke) and was good at calming her down and validating her choice.
Ch. 73
Okay, I kinda struggled to stay awake reading this one, it was a pretty boring info dump about the politics of the area Yusuke's in and how neither side is great.
Changing someone's entire political trajectory with one song? What is this, an idol anime!? (That scene was stupid lol)
The concept of force feeding someone monster meat to turn them into a berserker is pretty chilling. Fantasy human trafficking is even more brutal than irl trafficking I guess.
I continue to really dislike the made up names of this world. In this chapter it was the Sotaga vs. the Faida. IDK why but they just don't sound like real names to me, my brain rejects them. (IDK what magic makes some made up names sound good and others sound like you threw Scrabble letters at the wall...)
Ch. 74
This chapter was all about berserkers and how they relate to all of the ongoing storylines. I find this kind of fantasy slavery pretty interesting. Instead of IRL slavery where slaves were/are used for work, they're transformed into mindless weapons. Very dark, but I could see this kind of exploitation happening if monsters were real.
Of course the main big bad, president dude is wearing a turban...as this whole arc is a thinly veiled reference to extremists in the middle east. (Just feels weird to make this fantasy world so similar to the real world).
Some pretty brutal kills in this chapter, especially Ling getting curb stomped. I do enjoy that most of the gore is stake-less so it can get extreme like that. (Well I say "gore" but the player character deaths are actually bloodless).
Damn, dat fanservice at the end there. Overall this series hasn't been that fanservicey so it feels a little weird when it's tossed in like that. The art was decent, so I ain't mad.
The over-the-top evil all around (including Yotsuya's sociopathy) is a little eye-roll worthy. Verging into cringey edgy territory a bit.
