OMFG. THE REASON KIERAN MAY HAVE BEEN POSSESSED IN TEAL MASK BUT NOT POWERFULLY INFLUENCED LIKE CARMINE AND THE NPCS IS BECAUSE THE MYSTICAL PECHA BERRY RE-AWAKENED PECHARUNT. AT THE TIME OF KIERAN'S "POSSESSION", PECHARUNT WASN'T AT SAY, FULL POWER YET, HENCE WHY WE ONLY VAGUELY SEE PURPLE MIST WHEN HE PUNCHES THE SHRINE.

Pokemon theory time
So Porygon, right? For the longest time I found it weird that it was Normal type instead of Electric, despite being made of computer code.
Tumblr media
But the thought occurred to me: when any Pokemon gets stored in the PC, they must get converted to code from their Pokeballs, right? That doesn't make them Electric type, all Pokemon can be stored that way.
So my theory is: What if Porygon was used as a prototype to test the concept of the Pokemon Storage System?
(yes, this would mean that Bill would have worked on Porygon)
Creating Porygon would make sense as a way to test if converting a Pokemon into data was possible, and it wouldn't require testing on any existing Pokemon.
Hence the Normal typing: if Porygon was created to be an example of a "generic" Pokemon, Normal would be the most logical option for its creators to pick.
This could also explain the Porygon line's signature moves, Conversion and Conversion 2, which allow Porygon and its evolutions to change into any type. The PSS would likely have needed a way to make sure it could preserve a Pokemon's type, so having Porygon contain data to test all of them makes sense.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on new official artwork for Indigo Disk...
Tumblr media
Kieran – his crystal is shattered, it is loosing it's glow while other crystals shine brightly. His body posture is confident, and somewhat powerful, intimidating even. The facial expressions on the other hand is worried and unsure. It contrast to his in game attitude where he's mad and confident. I also think that the tera symbol behind his crystal in the distance is purple/pink which might indicate poison type.
Is that all a some sort of hint to the theory where Kieran is possessed? We'll find out soon. I think it although might symbolise that he's in fact lost. He tries to act all tough and rough but he's a sensitive and gentle soul (as nintendo said themselves in one of tweets).
Carmine – she is looking at her brother (and he is looking at her). She looks like she's shouting, all worried. In my opinion she still have hopes and believes in her brother, she wants to help him
Briar – She kinda reminds me of a villain who looks at something satisfied of what they have done/achieved but less evil. I don't think she's evil or have bad intentions. Maybe it's her reaction to Terapagos unleashing it's true power/form?? Still, we have to keep an eye on her...
Protagonists – they're just here
Thanks for reading ✨️

Since Kieran wasn't possessed by Pecharunt after all...there is still a chance we could get that storyline. Thought at this point, Kieran is on the way to his full-redemption (he still has a way to go).
But when the event for Pecharunt is released: What do I think would be interesting? If Pecharunt ended up possessing Drayton instead
This would be very interesting for the duo's dynamic. Drayton spent every encounter with Kieran purposefully trying to get under his skin and was absolutely brutal towards him when he'd just lost against us, and Kieran seems to actively despise Drayton at times.
After defeating the DLC, Drayton mentions that he's glad Kieran seems back to normal now, and he'd thought things would've have been patched up between the two of them by now, but they're just not there yet. Drayton actually wants to be friends with Kieran and says he wants to battle with Kieran again, even though Kieran has rejected his Blueberry League rank entirely.
That leads onto the Pecharunt storyline. As with Area Zero, if Pecharunt appears in the Terrarium, Drayton and Kieran could be the ones sent to deal with the fallout. They'd have to work together, which could lead to them finally hashing things out, or having a fight over everything that's happened.
But what if Pecharunt is gunning for Kieran, but Drayton pushes him out of the way and gets taken over? Or Drayton could just get unlucky and be the one Pecharunt chooses? Or he's silent and literally puppeted around? (It's giving Nihilego & Lusamine vibes). Either way, Kieran sees Drayton go all crazy and has his epiphany "Wait...is this what it was like when I went off the edge?" and realises he has to save the other.
Or maybe this is all just cause I think Drayton should get to go a lil feral. As a treat. Anyway, I just think we need more lore and interactions when it comes to these two together.

POKEMON DLC THEORY
Ok so I just finished The Teal Mask and saw the data leaks... And I've got a theory for what part 2 of the DLC has in store.
Spoilers for the teal mask and the data leak under the cut!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's very obvious the story takes inspiration from the tale of Momotaro, the peach boy who befriended a dog, pheasant and monkey to defeat the ogres looming over the land. We've got the ogre, the companions... but where is the main character of the story?
@v0id-echoes went really well into depth in this post about the implications of the loyal three being called the "retainer" pokémon and the entries stating they've been altered by their chains... Which suggest there's some other force who could've put these chains on them and made these 3 work for it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But who is to say that control stops with pokémon?
Tumblr media
Gif by @jadeazora
When Kieran first loses it, there's this chromatic aberration effect going on as he spirals... which I'd never seen before in a Pokémon game and to be honest at this point in the story the conflict wasn't bad enough yet for it to make a lot of sense. But this effect ALSO shows up when you're about to fight the loyal three 🤔
You can't really see it well in this gif besides like? Around his headband and white clothes.
It's shortly after this event the 3 are revived from the dead through his negative energy (I assume)..... throughout the story there are multiple scenes where the characters around us state he's acting abnormally and later on as Kieran meets ogrepon, ogrepon doesn't fully trust him either. (Which is so sad) but quite telling there's Something Else Going On.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think IF there's going to be another mythical, it's going to be dokutaro (the possible leaked name for this pokémon AND likely the missing Momotaro character), who latched onto Kieran's love for the ogre and turned it into a twisted obsession with a drive to take it. Which also makes sense with Kieran's character design, with him having purple undertones in his hair. He also supposedly pulls up his hair at the end of the story, symbolising that purple in his hair is now exposed. He could also possibly be tying his hair back with a purple band or something of the sorts.
Tumblr media
Gif by @jadeazora again
There's also something to be said about his main clothing colour being white, both is school uniform and festival attire. White is a colour of innocence and purity! And I think that might change in part 2 if this is really the way the story is going to go....
But long story short:
I think Kieran might by influenced by this mysterious Dokutaro figure and slowly corrupted to become our (and Ogrepon's) enemy.

We already know the starters to Legends Z-A.
Based on multiple factors, first of all being the pairings of the Hisuian starters with three other starters in this video back in August,
youtube
our starters are Snivy, Torchic, and Piplup.
But what really sold me on this, is the fact all three have in a way, ties to France.
Snivy's evolutionary line is based on Rose of Versailles, and Serperior is based on King Louis XIV.
Torchic has the weakest reasoning for ties, but Roosters are important to France, and also, Blaziken was the only Mega Evolution introduced in XY to NOT be in the Kalos Pokedex.
and Empoleon is most obvious, being based on Napoleon Bonaparte.

Theory on Terapagos and the true natrue of Tera crystals
So I played the Teal mask a while ago and I really enjoyed It. There is a lot to talk about regarding the characters and the story. I cannot wait until the Indigo Disc comes out! Now, the theory. So after playing the DLC and thinking about the lore within It, I had a realization and a lot of pieces would fit together if It is true. I am gonna put this post into sections to detail the evidence before I write down the conclusion. Spolier warning for Scarlet and Violet, the Teal mask DLC and The Pokemon Horizons anime. None of the game play images are my own.
Section 1: The Crystal Pool.
Tumblr media
The crystal pool is such a tease for things to come and I would be surprised If It didn't have any importance in the Indigo Disc. The intresting points about the Crystal pool is that the crystals grew in the pool after being "brought" there. It sounds to me that someone (likely Ogerpons old trainer/gaurdian) brought the crystals and some of It got into the pool and grew from there. The crystal seems almost alive in a sense, like It's just a extension of Terapagos. But the real intresting thing is what the sign next to the pool says and by extension, Carmine in the story. (Couldn't find any footage of It specifically)
Tumblr media
When you interact with the sign, It says that there is a rumor that one can see the spirits of the departed within the pool. That is interesting and I doubt It's just flavor text, considering Carmine mentions It too.
But what significance does this have? Well within the games It's unclear, but I think the Horizons anime might be hinting at something important to do with this.
Section 2: Pokemon Horizons, Terapagos.
Tumblr media
Terapagos plays an important role in the Horizions anime series. Now I haven't seen the series myself, so I might get facts wrong.
From what I understand is that there is a story arc about these Ancient poke balls.
Tumblr media
Now the only way to open them as I understand is by using terapagos powers, but that's not what interested me. No what got me curious is this.
Tumblr media
So in episode 23, the main group find a Galarian Molters within one of the ancient pokeballs. After they battle It, Terapagos shows the group a vision of what seems to be Moltres old trainer. Now I admit, I don't have a full context on how It works and what connection terapagos actually have to this trainer. But I find Terapagos ability to show visions from people who seems to have passed away interesting. Either terapagos met this person in the past or It made the vision in some other way.
So here is my theory:
Terapagos has power over memory and so do the tera crystals!
Think about It, If terapagos had power over memory and create visions based on peoples memories, then a lot of things would make sense.
AI Sada and Turo explain that they have the original professors memories, and that no person could make a advanced AI without the tera crystals. A important question is this, How? How do you transfer/convert your own memories into code? Well, if the tera crystals can store memories within them, then It would be possible. The risk could be the fact that the persons memories gets blurry, fragmented, warped or at worst erased.
This could possibly explain why Sada and Turos mental state became one of obsession. It could be that being around high concentrations of tera energy for a long time causes parts of the mind to deteriorate: so instead of terapagos manipulating Sada or Turo, It's just a unfortunate side effect of the Tera energy It creates.
Terapagos having memory powers could also explain the Crystal Pool. The crystals are reacting to the people around It and is showing them visions based on their own memories: the result being what seems to be ghosts of the departed.
Now with that in mind: What does this mean for the Lousy three? What about Ogerpon
Section 3: The Loyal/Lousy three and Ogerpon
Tumblr media
Now the Loyal three is a bit of a curve ball in this, considering the fact that they just got brought back to life; Full on necromancy. Or is It?
Now Kieran punched the monument while holding the teal mask and shortly after, the loyal three were resurrected. Now this could be because of a pokemon we haven't seen yet, seeing as It's very much hinted at that the loyal three have a boss. So this boss and their power could be behind this. But I believe the Teal mask is a important piece in this.
Tumblr media
The Teal mask was made with Tera crystals and Ogerpon had that mask on her when she killed the loyal three. So If my idea of the Tera crystals storing memories is correct, then the crystals within the mask might have reacted to the monument and manifested the memories of the loyal three. In that case, they weren't traditionally brought back to life, but instead got recreated based on the what was stored in the crystal. In other words: The loyal 3 were recreated based on Ogerpons memory of them! (Or at least the information stored in the crystal).
The reason the crystal reacted in this case could be because the mask was were the loyal 3's graves were, so the crystals reacted to the location and activated (with the help of Kierans punch and/or the loyal 3s boss).
Another point considering Ogerpons mask is her Boss fight.
Tumblr media
Ogerpon in the fight switches mask with each phase of the fight and the text for each highlights that she is getting strength from her memories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It makes me think that It what Tera energy really is, It's memories from either the past, present of maybe even future (If terapagos exists outside of regular time normally) in crystal form.
Crystals that can then either manifest those memories into strength or into full fledged beings. This theory could work both with the Time Travel and the Dream theory
The true time travel idea would be that the paradox pokemon did exist in the past and future, and that Sada and Turos time machine just made the crystals recreate the pokemon based on the stored information.
If the dream theory is true, then the pokemon could be created from memories, just incorrect ones. The human mind isn't infallible and If Heath saw paradox pokemon, It could either be that the crystals activated for unkown reasons; or that the crystals created paradox pokemon based on what Heath and his team thought they saw. Example: The two paradox Dophans within the book could have been a different looking Donphan or machinery and they thought they saw what we understand as a Great Tusk or Iron Threads.
So Sada and Turos paradox pokemon would be based on their memories of the scarlet and violet book. Creating the paradox of these Pokemon existing.
I am so excited for part 2 of the DLC and I really wanna see how the story will continue!
TL:DR: Terapagos might be a timeless being that has the power to make memories physical. Memories can be stored in Tera crystals and then show visions of those memories. Tera crystals might activate under certain conditions to give Pokemon strength or recreate beings based on the information stored inside them. Long periods time around high concentrations for Tera crystals might cause damage to the mind.

"I personally think that N is the son of Ghetsis's brother but I digress" please elaborate i would love to hear more
Ah I'm not sure if this is a popular theory, but I read somewhere that some people theorize that N is the son of Ghetsis's brother. I used to not really think about it but it's been worming into my brain quite a bit.
I think that thematically it would make a lot of sense. The Pokémon BW series talks a lot about opposites: Ying and Yang, Truths and Ideals, Good and Evil. Two brothers, and two dragons who fight for what they think is right.
In the Abyssal Ruins, the decoded messages talk about a "King", which can be implied to be an ancestor of Ghetsis and N, a bearer of the name Harmonia. There are also messages that say "King talks to all beings", "King is hope for all", "King is kind", that show that the one which wears the crown has good traits. But for light to exist there must also be darkness.
I personally believe that it would make a lot of sense for Ghetsis to have a brother to mirror the story of the original dragon, two brothers whos beliefs clashed with one another. His brother was the embodiment of purity, and Ghetsis of evil. His brother's virtue was what allowed him to become the king of Unova, and not Ghetsis.
I like to think that the "purity" family line could talk to Pokémon, which is why N has that ability (Kind of implied in the Abyssal Ruins quote above). Ghetsis never got the crown and loathed his brother for this. The brother separated himself from Ghetsis's evil, but a tragedy struck and left his son, N, an orphan. When Ghetsis found N he recognized his ability to talk to Pokémon as that from his brother's side. This could be part of the reason why Ghetsis is so cruel to N, because he sees a part of his brother in him and hates it.
I'm glad you enjoy my ramblings haha, I love to talk about this kind of stuff!

My favorite unintended consequence of GF not confirming the Pecharunt Possession theory is that they've now made a perfectly valid reading of Teal Mask where Kieran has secretly been a necromancer this whole time. What brought the Loyal Three back? His latent powers over the forces of life and death, of course.
Somebody get him a honorary Hex Girl outfit.

So maybe my theory about the signboards having an ongoing story isn't such a far-off theory? It's a reach I fear, but mayhaps there is some resemblance...the silhouette looks like a ponytail...

Something interesting I noticed about Arven is that, he represents the Present.
In the little notes you see in the Crater, it is implied the other professor (Turo in Scarlet and Sada in Violet), walked out on Arven and his in game parent. Arven is very clearly meant to be the child of both Sada and Turo.
Sada studies the Past, and Turo studies the Future. Their obsessions with their work took them away from what was happening in the Present. From ARVEN.
Something I see a lot in my mental health work is that if people are too focused on their pasts, or what might happen in the future, they are disconnected from the reality of the present moment. This makes it hard to maintain relationships and provide for yourself and others.
Arven is a metaphor for what can happen when you become too absorbed in your work, or with the past/future. Sada/Turo cared for Arven, as seen by the writings and pictures in the Crater, but their obsession with "Paradise" and with their work meant they weren't existing in the moment, or paying attention to those around them.
Ultimately, this led to the loss of close relationships and the abandonment of their son. And then, it led to their own death.
Arven is stuck in between the past his mother craved and the future his father was writing. It broke him. And what put him back together again was not his parents, but the friends he had with him at that moment. Who kept him rooted to the present. Us, the Player. Nemona. Penny. Our found family friend group starts Arven on the path to healing from the results of his parent's obsessions and missteps.
This game is such a good allegory for the importance of a social network when dealing with mental health, and how preoccupation with past/future events and your work can take away everyone and everything you once cared about.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have their flaws, but MAN is this one of the best stories we have gotten.

I am fully convinced Eri is the result of Ingo being sent back to hisui and never coming back to the present, she is his descendant!! And today i shall post this theory in an attempt to prove i am not insane-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at their eyes, they look far too similar to seem like just a coincidence. Not only is the eye shape very similar (you could even argue that maybe it is the same shape just not very noticeable due to Eri's mask?) but the design of their irisis is literally the same, from the look of it to the eye color.
Tumblr media
In addition, if you look at Eri in the academy where her model won't be affected by the weather or day and night system her hair color looks exactly the same as Ingo's and the skin color is pretty close to his too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly there's this weird thing where at the start of her battle she appears with this long dark coat that apears to have red dots across it. This coat its not seen anywhere else in the game but it could definitely be a nod to Ingo's black and red coat

I feel like the Neo Swords don't get enough credit. Like sure they're not as drastically different as the Legendary Beasts are but I feel like there's so many subtle details about them that people haven't noticed yet.
Let's start off with Iron Crown's Scarlet dex entry.
>It resembles a mysterious object introduced in a paranormal magazine as a cutting-edge weapon shaped like a Cobalion.
Let's think about the context of that for a second. Of that wording. A weapon shaped like a Cobalion. Now, why would anybody build a robo-Cobalion in the first place? What purpose would it serve?
Well, let's take a look at Iron Crown's Base Stat Total and compare it to Cobalion's!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Iron Crown has a slightly higher base stat total than Cobalion does, but take a look at how different some of their stats are. Iron Crown is a VERY strong special attacker, with a special attack of 122. Then compare that to Cobalion's special defense. It's their weakest stat at 72.
Take their typings into consideration too. Iron Crown is Steel/Psychic, while Cobalion is Steel/Fighting. What are fighting type Pokemon weak to? Psychic types.
You could probably brush this off as a coincidence, but I fully believe that this was intentional. Let's compare Iron Leaves' Base Stats and Virizion's Base Stats as well real quick.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once again, we've got a huge difference in stat distribution. Iron Leaves? Very strong physical attacker. Virizion's lowest stat? Physical defense. Iron Leaves' physical attack has almost twice as many points as Virizion's physical defense.
So coupled with the fact that not only do the Neo Swords have a higher base stat total than the Swords of Justice, but they all seem to exceed in places where the Swords of Justice falter, not just in stats, but also in type matchups.
Iron Crown and Iron Leaves were built to kill and replace Virizion and Cobalion. By taking advantage of the strengths that the Swords of Justice lacked, they could bring them down from just how much stronger and more powerful they are, having the higher up in advantages in every single way.
But things get a bit different when we look at Iron Boulder and Terrakion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In contrast to Iron Crown and Iron Leaves, Iron Boulder doesn't outclass Terrakion in any stats other than special defense and speed. Sure, it can move faster than Terrakion, but Terrakion isn't much of a special attacker anyway and it's still much bulkier and stronger than Iron Boulder.
Not only that, but it could still reasonably go toe to toe with Iron Boulder. Sure, fighting types are weak to psychic types, but Iron Boulder is still a rock type, and rock types are weak to fighting types. So, what gives? Why do Iron Crown and Iron Leaves take advantage of Cobalion and Virizion's weaknesses while Iron Boulder doesn't?
Let's refer to Scarlet's dex entry on Iron Boulder.
>It resembles a Pokémon described in a dubious magazine as a Terrakion that had been modified by an evil organization.
And therein lies the difference. It's not a robot made to take down Terrakion, it IS Terrakion.
Tumblr media
When you compare them side by side it's clear they had to take a few liberties to get Iron Boulder to be as fast as it is. Terrakion is much bulkier while Iron Boulder has more of an armored shell thing going on with its body. Its structural integrity probably leaves much to be desired, but perhaps the idea is you wouldn't need to worry about it getting hit when it's too agile to get hit in the first place.
Iron Leaves and Iron Crown were built to kill Virizion and Cobalion, and then when those two were gone, they likely had to weaken Terrakion so they could bring it back to be modified, since Iron Leaves and Iron Crown all outclass Terrakion in terms of stats and typing, leaving Terrakion with no advantages at all.
Tumblr media
Living beings tend to make mistakes, lapses in judgement. Often times, it might be critical, and in the heat of the moment, one might slip up, miss something, leading to justice not being served as it should be.
The Swords of Justice cut themselves off from humanity after the war ended, hid themselves away after realizing how much of a burden people were to Pokemon, and the harm they could bring. Even in the years past, they still refused to believe humans and Pokemon could co-exist, attacking anyone who drew near for the longest time. A stubborn mindset, a flawed one, the fault of the mind. A machine would have no sense of selfishness.
Why waste time with human error when a machine is less likely to make mistakes, if at all? Surely, a machine must have a better understanding of justice, of righteousness than a living being. Thousands of calculations per minute to determine the best possible outcome, the best course of action. A machine would be a far better protector than the Swords of Justice ever could be.
Right?
