hey i noticed i struggle with this a lot so just a reminder for everyone:

dont be afraid to tell someone you're sick, doesn't matter what kind of sick. walking around school feeling nauseous or sitting in an office with a fever is not good for you. even if it doesn't seem that extreme you still need to rest and take medicine.

if people judge you for wanting a day off because you have a really sore throat, they can go fuck themselves its your body and you know what's best for it

had a minor freak out over academic achievement.... i put a lot of pressure on myself to do well and i need a specific score to get into the course i want to study in at uni and my prediction says i'll over shoot the score by a few points but that was when i thought i'd actually perform well in my 50% weighted exams.... i'm not performing how i was meant to perform.... which really sucks when you're me and you put a whole heap of your worth on how well you perform. but my mother, the beautiful woman that she is, reminded that i'm 17 and this score isn't the end of the world, it's not even the beginning of it either. it's just a score, it won't matter in 6 months. i can work around the things that need working around. it doesn't make me more or less of a person. i'm 17, i'm not expected the know what i'm doing or where i'm going, all i'm expected to be is 17. this is only the very beginning of my life, i just got to try my best and cross my fingers; thats all we can ever do.
