There aren't enough words to explain how bad I feel now that I know Gojo Satoru is dead. It's like, he promised he would win...

Seeing him talking to Geto, telling him that he would have felt better if Geto had been there, supporting him and encouraging him, just broke my heart into pieces and I started crying. With each panel I just cried more and more, and then I saw him, broken in half and with that lost look in his eyes, so empty...

Yuji won't smile anymore, he won't have any hope. His friends are no longer with him, Nobara could be dead, Megumi is Sukuna's vessel, Nanami is dead too. Everyone Yuji loved is gone.

What is Yuji's bright future? Being alone, in pain, depressed, watching everyone die? Will he be alone in the end? Is that the future of Jujutsu Kaisen?

The last chapter (247) of jjk proves (to me) a theory I've been thinking about for some time now. And it's that even though Gege Akutami is a great author, they are too dependant on their own formula, specifically for Yuuji's social circles and the social background of the manga in general. That's why they keep "taking out" important characters but they have to keep bringing new ones to fulfill their deceased counterparts. This has happened with Gojo and Higuruma, Nobara and Hana, Nanami and Kusakabe/Higuruma, Megumi and Choso, Todo and Hakari/Choso, and Panda and Takaba.

And I'm not saying they are bad characters (some of them are even my favorites in the series) however it's kinda hard to care about them making it to the final battle when they are presented as a replacement for another character that you were more able to get familiar with. Moreover as I keep seeing this particular formula the deaths and disappearance of some characters are starting to loose the impact it used to have for me.

some questions about sukuna

First of all, what is Sukuna actually? He is not a human being (not any more), but he is not a curse either. In the fanbook he is classified as a “cursed object”; in my opinion this classification does not 100% define Sukuna. (The nickname “king of curses” may suggest that it is a curse, b u t… he’s not)!

Second question: how did he “become” twenty fingers? In the first chapter Sukuna appears as a simple finger, but since we've arrived at chapter 242 and seen his incredible strength, how did the person (although it makes more sense to think it was a group of people) seal his power and “lock it” inside his twenty fingers? I use the word sealed, because the manga and even the internet let us know that at some point he was sealed, not defeated, so the question is: if he never lost, why did we know him in the form of fingers? There are several interesting theories on the internet. For example, I read that it was Sukuna, for some reason, who wanted to seal himself.

It is a very strange theory since Sukuna just seems to want to live and be free. Some say it was because Kenjaku promised him something, while others claim that even he cannot resist old age. This last rumour is quite nonsensical considering that Sukuna has not been a human for centuries. I believe that a superior being like Sukuna doesn't even know what old age is.

However, the theory concerning Kenjaku is interesting. The manga highlights the fact that he and Kenjaku know each other. When he manages to take Megumi's body and confronts Yuji, what he says to Yuji suggests that Kenjaku has “used” him for something concerning Yuji. Furthermore, when Gojo is freed, we are assured that Sukuna has promised something to Kenjaku, because he was the one who said "Wait, Sukuna. Keep the promise you made to me before you fought".

Speaking of Yuji and Sukuna. By now it is obvious that there is a connection between Sukuna, Yuji and Kenjaku. There is still to be understood why Sukuna, through Yuji, considered as a participant in the Culling Game. In fact, Yuji, before everyone else, was immediately considered a participant. In that very chapter, Kenjaku appears and via flashback says that he made oaths over a thousand years ago (laboriously) with some sorcerers. Sorcerers who are now cursed objects.

Cursed objects = Sukuna.

Help, I'm thinking too much and the problem is that the questions aren't finished yet ahah

Gojo Satoru is dead. The strongest sorcerer is dead. How am I supposed to go on?

I can't fucking believe it... I can't. I just can't. He's not just a character to me, he's more than that, and I can't believe what I just saw. I never made a fanart of him when he was alive, now he's dead and I'm supposed to make one for that?

I cried. I really cried with all the pain in my stupid heart.
