Tumblr media
Many job seekers view an employment opportunity in Qatar as a great opportunity. If you are careful, you'll be rewarded with an amazing international adventure and an excellent salary that is not subject to tax. The guide is comprehensive and explains everything you should be aware of.
If you're considering working in Qatar There are some things you need to be aware of. This guide will help you find a job for jobs in Qatar as well as what will get of the procedure. It includes the following parts:
Working in Qatar
The process of finding a job in Qatar will require an understanding of the Qatari job market as well as Qatari workplace way of life. Here are some things that you need to know prior to you start your job search.
Job market in Qatar
The current rate of unemployment for Qatar is 0.1 percent. It is because there are numerous jobs and anyone seeking jobs in Qatar has a high chance of being employed. The economy is rapidly growing and the GDP of the country was close to $9 billion in 2018.
The oil and gas industry is the biggest sector in Qatar. Therefore, if you want to find an opportunity in Qatar and the Gulf, this is the ideal sector to work in. Manufacturing is an industry that is huge along with insurance, finance as well as real estate. Construction and building are two of the largest industries that provide jobs in Qatar. This is particularly true during the build-up to 2022's FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in Qatar. It is however expected that this particular sector will be impacted by a slowdown following the prestigious occasion.
A number of multinational corporations are represented in Qatar. They include Shell, ExxonMobil, BNP Paribas, HSBC, and Standard Charted. But there are many big local firms as well. This includes Qatar Petroleum, Woqod, Qatar Steel, and Msheired.
Job openings in Qatar
The construction industry is growing rapidly as Qatar prepares to be the host for 2022's World Cup. There are numerous projects centered around Qatar's 2030 vision deadlines. Due to this, there is a tremendous need for workers in Qatar.
Tourism and hospitality are two sectors that have tremendous potential for growth. So, if you're looking for a job in Qatar and the Middle East, these are two excellent industries to be in. The government is working to promote these as an alternative source of income to ensure that the country isn't so dependent on oil. In this regard, it put up $17 billion in 2008 to fund new infrastructure projects to help support this. Restaurants and hotels are constantly hiring, so check them for opportunities in Qatar.
Salaries in Qatar
The minimum wage currently in Qatar is QAR 750 per month. In the latter part of 2019 the government announced it would soon adopt new laws regarding minimum wage.
However, the wages are very excellent in the country and this is the main reason for recruit seeking jobs in Qatar. The median salary in Qatar is approximately QAR13,000 per month. However, salaries can vary significantly. Salaries could be as low as QAR1,200/month , or up to QAR90,000 per month.
Culture of work in Qatar
Due to the large number of evacuee living in Qatar The work culture is a mix of different ways of life and perspectives from around the world. In certain ways, this global setting can be very stimulating and welcoming. But, Qatar is a Muslim country, so you will experience to work in a more traditional manner. Another factor is that the culture of work is extremely patriarchal and hierarchical that is something you should be conscious of.
There are local idiosyncrasies you must be aware of as well. For instance, personal relationships are crucial to business success in Qatar. This is why you'll need to establish relationships with your coworkers and business partners. Additionally, even though English is the primary business language, having some Arabic can go a long way. One thing to keep in mind is that punctuality isn't as important in Qatar as such, and you can be expecting a more relaxed attitude towards timekeeping.
Labor laws and rights in Qatar. droits in Qatar
Qatar has a variety of laws pertaining to labor that were created to safeguard employees. It is essential to know about these prior to attempting to find jobs in Qatar. Here are some rights of employees that you need to have in mind:
Employees should not be working longer than six days in a week or for more than 10 hours per day. Furthermore, you should be paid the overtime compensation after 8 hours.
If a company decides to terminate an employee before the expiration of their contract, it must be able to pay an End of Service benefit. This is only applicable in the event of a termination that is not due to reason.
Employers must offer private health insurance to foreign employees.
Employees are paid indemnity at the conclusion the term of employment. It is typically 15-20 days' pay for 3 years, or one month's pay for each year following that;
The majority of employees are entitled to up to four or three weeks' annual leave.
Employees also have the right to two weeks of sick leave with all-inclusive pay.
In addition to the mentioned above, many foreigners enjoy other benefits. These are contingent on the particular contract. However, they may comprise the following:
Return flights for home visits;
Housing allowance
Children's education;
Car for the company.
The requirements for working in Qatar
If you're looking for a job in Qatar there are many hurdles you must jump through before you can proceed. However, in general these aren't too difficult, and you shouldn't face any issues.
Work visas for Qatar
All foreigners seeking employment in Qatar require a residence permit. But, you are able to be granted this if your employer sponsor you. Typically, the company will provide you with an entry visa for temporary use into the country, and will then take care of the formalities once you have arrived.
If you find an employer that can sponsor you, they'll have to manage all the formalities to grant you the residency permit. If you accepted the job offer prior to arriving in the country, your employer has to convert the temporary visa you received into an official residence permit within 2 to 4 weeks.
The residence permits permit you to take your family with you to Qatar in addition. They are required to be renewed each annually by your company however.
It is a requirement for a language to work in Qatar
In the case of jobs within Qatar, English is a essential requirement. It is the primary spoken language in Qatar. It is advantageous to have some understanding of Arabic. Arabic spoken language also.
Qualifying to work in Qatar
In general, the majority of firms in Qatar will require that you possess at least a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. But, if you're engaged in a particular field that requires professional certifications. For instance doctors, lawyers, and teachers must all have specific credentials that are relevant to their work.

Liam Lawson on F1 accessibility and Ollie Bearman:
“I would say maybe, it’s becoming more clear-it’s hard because obviously I don’t wanna just speak for myself but just using Ollie [Bearman] as an example-how potentially accessible formula 1 is for the younger sort of generation and us trying to step into it. I think in my experience it’s not so much driving the car but everything else that comes with Formula 1-the pressure, the media side of it the atmosphere-it’s very very different to what anything else we’ve raced. But the driver part of it sort of how accessible it is. I think from the simulator work and preparation that we do that someone like Ollie is able to jump into the car and be on the pace and do such a good job”
THIS is it!! This is what we’re saying! Liam and Ollie both performed superbly when given the opportunity to do so. It’s clear that the F1 car is manageable for someone making a quick jump from F2 or older F1 cars. When-in my experience-the reason teams have been hesitant maybe to bring in younger talent like Liam and Ollie is cause of the difference in the car. Liam and Ollie have both said that’s not true and they both did quite well through several tough races in Liam’s case like Singapore and Qatar.
It’s for reasons like what Liam says that we need to either push out some of the guys who aren’t performing at their level (*cough* Ricciardo *cough*) or open up the sport to more teams! If Andretti had gotten their bid accepted, Liam Lawson might not have to wait around for DR to get his head out of Chr*stian Horners ass and retire and he could have a seat for 2025. Cause until that happens, and until other teams make moves to push out their older competitors. Liam (and Ollie, sort of) can’t join F1.
And another problem this raises, is that either of them could have a seat next year. If teams weren’t so scared of missing out on the next Max Verstappen.
Toto Wolff practically has the seat reserved for Kimi Antonelli and he will do whatever it takes to either get it to him in 2025, or blow off that year to wait for Kimi in 2026. Meaning that Liam and Ollie would be left on their asses if either if them signed to Merc. And this isn’t hate to Kimi! This is simply a criticism of the teams only taking younger talent when they’re considered prodigious.
If they signed to a lower grid team like Haas-who we know are in tentative talks with Ollie-or Sauber or Alpine then they will underperform to their potential because the car they drive is shitty but they’ll be the ones blamed for it due to “lack of experience” and teams can continue to make the claim that the F2 to F1 jump is too big and the cycle repeats perpetually until it’s just not worth it and we the fans lose out on potential great talent. Even though drivers who have been in the sport for years can underperform in the same car and it’s fine!
It doesn’t make sense, truly, for them to not trust younger talent when Zak Brown and Mclaren have signed the youngest pairing on the grid, who after updates last year to the car, were pretty consistent with placing in the points and earned them several podiums.
Also, look at how much good the 2019 rookies ended up being for the sport. 3 childhood friends entered into F1, there were highs, lows, etc they each got their shot to prove themselves and now. One is working to rebuild a historic team, one is outperforming a 7 time champion (again no hate just observation) and one is considered to be apart of the team that can take the fight to RedBull and Ferrari
It just doesn’t make sense when young drivers get passed up even when they prove themselves in favor of relying on middling drivers who’s time in the sun have kind of passed on.
Anyway, I hope Liam and Ollie get a seat next year. I hope Kimi Antonelli does what’s best for him as a kid rather than what is best for his career. I hope Daniel Ricciardo gets kicked out mid season. And I hope the next time a team comes in trying to join F1, they can actually do it

Logan Sargeant does not deserve what happened today and this is my rant about it.
Firstly, and this is extremely obvious but Logan didn’t crash the car. Alex did. Logan didn’t make the mistake. Alex did. If you crash the car to the point they can’t repair it, it is your responsibility to suffer whatever consequences which come of that.
Now Williams are the only team to do something like this in recent years (to my knowledge) on the off chance they score points? Alex has not scored points this season yet and that is not due to the talent it is due to the car, so it doesn’t matter who drives it at this point in the season the car is just not up to scratch.
I am also a firm believer that if Logan didn’t have that steering issue in Bahrain he would have at least scored a point, so it is not due to a lack of talent on Logan’s part it is due to a lack of faith from Williams.
Another thing to note that jumped into my head is Qatar 2023. Carlos Sainz had an issue with the fuel tank. Despite Carlos being a recent race winner Ferrari did not tell him to jump into Charles’ car did they? Because other teams know that if it is an issue with one driver’s car then it is not the responsibility of the other driver to bear the brunt of the aftermath.
This is not just Logan paying for Alex’s mistake this is Logan paying for the entirety of Williams’ lack of preparation. It is their fault they don’t have a third chassis, it is not Logan’s job to be stood there with a checklist in the manufacturing or transport stage to ensure they are prepared. Why should he suffer?
This also shows a massive lack of trust in Logan from the entirety of Williams, especially James Vowels. Why would you resign a driver, claim that you believe in him when you are going to give him the obvious second driver treatment? This could have been a great opportunity for Logan to build up confidence but instead Williams broke him down inside out.
They can preach all they want about giving Logan another chance. This is a sport. Words mean nothing. Unless you practice what you preach it is honestly worthless. It’s a fat load of good saying you believe in a person if when push comes to shove you decide to kick them out of their own car.
Also, I don’t think Alex could have said no to taking Logan’s car. Maybe he could have protested, and he should have, but it was team orders at the end of the day. But, if he could have said “no this is wrong, it is my mistake I should pay for it” then he definitely should have and if he didn’t then that’s on him.
Ultimately, Logan didn’t deserve any of this and this says more about Williams than it does about Logan. I personally hope he scores points at Suzuka just to stick it to the team.

2023 L'Équipe Interview, "I'm only here to win"
For the Dutchman, on course to win his third world title in a row this weekend, success does not quell his appetite for victories. If anything, the Red Bull driver appears even more determined to not leave anything to others.
He's funny. No, that's the wrong word, because we don't joke with Max Verstappen. At least when you're not one of his close friends, because with his people, he's apparently funny. So it's interesting, not to say edifying, to recall the first interview he gave to L’Équipe. On his debut with Red Bull in 2016, the Dutchman chatted in this same Singapore paddock, just a few months after his first GP success (Spain). The kid was a young wildcat who attacked, bit, and didn't let go. It was a very constructive experience.
Nine years later, he's on the verge of becoming a triple world champion this weekend in Qatar. His arrogance has been transformed into an icy confidence, and his fiery temperament has mellowed with victory and years of taking criticism. Today, Verstappen conducts his interviews like he drives his Formula 1 car. Without trembling or worrying about his opponent. He lives his life and answers straightforwardly, without giving himself away. He's become unflappable behind the wheel, and just as unflappable when it comes to giving of himself. He does the job to perfection, faultlessly and without spark. He responds quickly and efficiently. It's easy to see how the 18 year old has become an - almost - three time world champion, who knows how to thank his team, and rightly so; who knows how essential consistency is; but above all, who knows how to rely solely on himself to win, the only thing that counts for him. In this, he really hasn't changed.
Q. How are you enjoying the season? Are you as bored as we are? Not at all (he smiles). As far as I'm concerned it's quite the opposite. I'm always excited to come to the track and I'm always 100% motivated. I feel like this is the best thing that could've happened to me. I'm a driver at heart and to be able to win at the wheel of an incredible car is a real opportunity.
Q. But what excites you? The hunt for records or the pleasure of winning? I'm only here to win. Finishing in the top five, you know, that doesn't interest me. So I stay motivated because I know I can win and I love winning. The more wins I can get, the more motivation I'll have.
Q. Do you enjoy all your successes, or do you prefer some of them? For example, do you enjoy starting at the front and taking the lead, or battling and climbing back up the field, as you did at Zandvoort? Well, I like to get out in front and focus on a race that I want to be as clean as possible. At times like these, it's the moment when I can concentrate on my lap times, look after my lap times and preserve my tyres. In short, to do the best I can. But sometimes, if you run into problems or an unforeseen event sets you back, moving up in the rankings and fighting your way back into the lead is very enjoyable too. Except that, in those moments, there's inevitably more risk involved, and when you're fighting for a Championship, that kind of risk spoils the fun a bit.
Q. At Monza, we sensed that you were greedy, following Carlos Sainz and watching out for a fault in his tyres or his driving… They were better in qualifying, but we've got a great car for the race, so I just wanted to know what theirs was like, and when I saw that it was ruining their tires, then I knew.
Q. And then, when you're easily leading a race, what do you think about? About the race, or about dinner or anything else? No, definitely not. I never think about anything other than the race when I'm driving. As I told you, I stay very focused on my lap times, on my car; I want to do the best job I can.
Q. In the past, we'd hear you complaining at your engineer when he asked you to preserve your tyres. Today, you tell us that you're careful. Is that maturity? It's just that it depends on the circumstances. When I was complaining about this way of managing the tyres, it's because I wanted to attack. I had a car to win races, not a championship. So if I saw the window open, I wanted to go for it. And I was aggressive.
Q. Speaking of qualifying, it's an area where you weren't the best when you started out, and you seem to have taken a long time to get good at it. Now, it's one of your strengths. Is this an area you've worked particularly hard on? I've always enjoyed it, but in Formula 1 it's even more complicated than in the lower disciplines. There are a huge number of parameters to manage, in addition to your driving, which has to be on the limit. When I arrived in F1, I only had one year in a single-seater, and that's not much compared with the others. So it may have taken me longer because of that, but now I've got the hang of it. And the team has given me a car that can do it. Because a driver alone can't win pole.
Q. Since the summer, we've been hearing you say that you don't see yourself, like Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton, in F1 until you're 40. Are you saying this because you're afraid of boredom or because you don't have enough rivals? First of all, there are the victories. Doing F1 if I don't win anymore… (he sighs). I could get motivated again by coming back to the front and winning again. That would be motivating. Then there's the quality of life. You can't measure the schedule of an F1 driver. And it doesn't get any better as the years go by. So that's what tells me I'll stop one day.
Q. Do you think that with a real opponent next year, you'll have more fun or, as you keep saying, only victory is beautiful? Obviously, for the team, the challenge is always greater when you have an opponent. If that were the case, it would be like 2021, when every weekend we were very close and didn't know who would win in the end. There, to finish as winners, you had to be very close to perfection.
Q. Do you miss that fight? You know, I loved that season. Just as I loved 2022. If things repeat themselves, that’s the trouble!
Q. So how do you see 2024? Or rather, how do you hope to see it? I don't really care. I mean, I'm ready for anything!
Q. Even to bore us like Michael Schumacher or Hamilton did by dominating everything? You know that some people appreciate domination. If you look at other sports, you'll see that domination can be enjoyable. For me, it's fun to watch and follow because the team or the athlete shows the world that he or she is doing a better job than the the others.
Q. So you liked Hamilton's domination? This is different. I don't like being beaten and neither does my team. But you have to appreciate what he did, his consistency and the work he put in.
Q. Was it important to beat Hamilton on the track like Alonso wanted to do with Schumacher? I'm repeating myself, but the most important thing for me is to win. I want to win and win again. It's not a question of people, and I think it would be a mistake to focus on a driver and make it personal. I don't want to beat one driver, I want to beat them all.
Q. Is consistency what you were lacking? Just putting one thing out seems difficult to do. I've grown as a driver by improving everywhere, but it's true that a great champion is measured over a whole season. You never see them with an off day, and that's what I want to achieve. Of course, you can't be perfect, but what I want is to continue to perform consistently.
Q. And how do you go about achieving this? Experience is essential. And of course, the car. Just as much. That helps a lot.
Q. Since the departure of Daniel Ricciardo (at the end of 2018), none of your team-mates has been able to rise to your level. Do you have an explanation for this? First of all, I think I've improved, that I've become a better driver in all areas. After that, it's hard to find an explanation and, you know, I'm pretty focused on myself. I'm not very interested in what's going on elsewhere or in the garage next door. I just want to go faster.
Q. Sometimes looking at your teammate's telemetry can help… It can happen, but not often. But my work is focused on what I do.
Q. Are you interested in taking part in the search for the next Red Bull driver? Like, for example, having your pal Lando Norris with you? These are just rumors. And then, we have fun talking about it. Like a game. Lando is my friend but it's not my decision to make.
Q. And would you like to contribute to this decision? No (instantly). I wouldn't, even if I could.
Q. For your third title, you could be crowned in the sprint race in Qatar, which would be a first… (He interrupts.) Is it? I hadn't thought of that. Well, there won't be much to celebrate because there's a race on Sunday. And I'm still concentrating on that. Winning a GP is what counts for me. But I don't like to think ahead.
Q. Last question: you're about to join the exclusive club of three-time world champions (Brabham, Stewart, Lauda, Piquet, Senna). Which one do you think is closest to you? I have no idea. I'm Max Verstappen and I'm very happy to be.

Hola angel❤️ can i request something? i have this on my mind:
Reader and Kylian are dating but reader is Oliver giroud’s daughter (maybe adoptive daughter because i mean he’s 36 and reader would be 18/19) and one day he finds about them because they tried to keep it secret❤️
Have I mentioned before that I need Olivier to be my father?
I really hope you like this ❤️✨
Tumblr media
A father’s love
You moved to Paris when you were 18, fresh out of high school, to pursue your dream of being a photographer. You moved a lot during your childhood due to your father being a famous football player. He’s Olivier Giroud who plays for Milan and the Equipe de France. He’s the one who saved your life after being abandoned by your parents in an orphanage only when you were 5. You always thought you would have a miserable life, you never understood why your parents left you but when you were 7 your life changed completely. He adopted you, he welcomed you into his family and he cared for you like a parent should do.
You lived in Milan for a few years where you graduated high school but it came time for you to leave and chase your dreams.
Your dad fully supported you and you couldn’t be happier. He got you this small parisian apartment with a beautiful eiffel tower view and you couldn’t ask for me.
You started attending photography class and learnt a lot from there but the biggest opportunity of your life came when your accepted a stage as a photographer for the psg. You weren’t allowed to meet the players but you were grateful you could see all the psg matches.
Until one night you were attending a game, as usual, and you started taking pictures of the team. You were very good with portraits, even if you preferred the nature you were happy with the job you were doing.
You took a lot of pictures that night and PSG posted them all on their social.
That same night Kylian poster a picture that you took but instead of tagging PSG he tagged you.
You were shocked.
How did he know you were the one taking that picture?
You were completely shocked.
The day after he approached you while he was training. You were sat on the bench currently studying your program and occasionally taking pictures of the team while they were training.
“You have talent” he said sitting next to you
“Ehm-thank you” you replied in a soft tone
“I’m Kylian by the way”
“Y/n…”
“Y/n? Why does it sound so familiar? Wait…You’re Olivier’s daughter?” he asked a bit shocked
“Yes it’s me” you said smiling a bit
“Wow…”
“Does it shock you?”
“No-yes-I mean…what are you doing here? I thought you were all in Milan”
“I was…I was accepted into photography school here in Paris so I moved here…”
“That’s amazing…well I have to go back to training but I hope we can talk more afterward” he said and with that he left.
After that day you two became friends.
He would take you out in Paris and you would invite him over at your place for movie nights. But you were falling for him.
You couldn’t help it but you started feeling emotions everytime he looked at you. Like butterflies exploding into your stomach. You kept it a secret for a while before you told him. You knew he didn’t like you back but you had to tell him. You were wrong though.
When you confessed he kissed you. Passionately.
He told you he fell in love with you the moment he saw you the first time.
So you started dating.
But no one knew. Not even the team or his family. You wanted to keep it private, firstly because you were a very private person, secondly because he was terrified of your father finding out. You knew your dad wouldn’t approve.
You dating his teammate? Absolutely no!
So you dated, hiding from everyone and always been careful. And now it’s been a year you’re together.
But the World Cup moment came and you had to go in Qatar to support your dad (and your boyfriend) team.
You were terrified of him finding out but you also knew you couldn’t stay away from Kylian so you had to be very careful.
The first week was easy. Kylian would sneak out into your bedroom when everyone was fast asleep but more the days went on more it became complicated for you to see each other.
He trained more and you stayed in your bedroom more.
One night you decided to surprise him and went into his bedroom. It was a bit risky because his room was on the same floor your dad’s room was but you didn’t think about it so much.
What you didn’t know was that your dad saw you and Kylian kissing each other right in the corridor before he took your hand and led you into his room.
Your dad waited two hours outside Kylian’s room hoping you would come out but eventually he gave up. He definitely would have talk to you in the morning so he woke up earlier and waited for the rest of the team to go down and have breakfast.
“Où est Kylian?” your dad asked to his teammates pretending he didn’t know what was really going on
“Je ne sais pas” Adrien Rabiot answered before eating his breakfast.
Your dad finished breakfast before everyone else so he had time to go to Kylian’s room.
But before he could say anything he saw you coming out to Kylian’s room with him behind you holding your hands.
“Don’t you have anything to say?” your dad asked and you both jumped because of fear
“Dad I-“ you tried to say but honestly you had no idea of what to say
“Kylian?” your dad asked, while he crossed his arms and tensed his shoulder a little bit
“Olivier I swear I would never hurt her” Kylian admitted while not being able to hold eyes with your father, who, in that moment looked a little bit much intimidating
“Oh you better not. If you hurt her, if you break her heart, if you cheat on her, if you even think of cheating on her, if you make her cry, if you treat her bad, I’m gonna find out and you’re dead. Clear?” he asked in a very serious tone
“Yes sir. But I promise you, I would never ever hurt her. She’s the love of my life, I can’t even go a day without seeing her…” Kylian said to your dad and he soften his hard look a little bit
“I believe you Kyks…” Olivier said “now back to you y/n…why didn’t you tell me?” he asked a little bit disappointed
“I thought you wouldn’t approve. I mean you hated all the guys I’ve dated so…” you said in a soft voice
“Yes because at the time you were fifteen and the guys you dated were dickheads but now it’s different, you’re almost 20, you have your own career, you’re own place, you’re a young woman and whether I like it or not, you won’t staying single forever, I can’t protect you like I did when you were a kid so it’s okay for you to date and make new experiences…I just wished you weren’t scared to tell me…”
You couldn’t hold back tears and hug him “I know I’m so sorry dad”
“It’s okay honey, what matters now is that your happy”
“I am - I swear, Kylian makes me so much happy you have no idea” you said smiling while your dad wiped your tears away
“Good” he then said “Kylian, you better treat her good”
“Yes sir. You know I will” Kylian replied and your dad left to change into his training suits.
You and Kylian looked at each other trying to process what has just happened. You were shocked. Happy that your father approved cause having his approval was the most important thing for you.

A few interesting tidbits from this week's F1 Nation podcast, including that DR broke his metacarpal in SEVEN places and some funny Gerhard/Daniel banter.
Pinkham: Something else that's difficult to predict, is what Alpha Tauri will do with their driver lineup next year. It's a good problem to have, because the talent on offer is pretty remarkable. Liam Lawson has stepped in in Daniel Ricardo's absence and done a great job. I mean he hasn't gotten in to the points yet, and we all miss Daniel don't we TC? How much? Clarkson: Oh huge[ly]. We love Daniel. I was amazed, by the way, that he broke his metacarpal in seven places – seven! I'm just looking at my hand now as I speak to you, I think crikey how can you - shattered. Pinkham: But let's just take one quick moment though to sing his praises. Because in that moment he could have gone into the side of Oscar Piastri, or turn in and, knowing that there probably would be ramifications, and painful ones for himself, and in that moment he did exactly that. I suppose the human instinct is to avoid collision with another human, but he's paid a pretty heavy price for it, hasn't he. Because just after his comeback he now looks like not coming back until potentially Qatar. I mean Singapore was always going to be too soon; such a physical circuit, such a demanding one particularly with steering wheel changes. But we're now hearing that he may not make it for Japan either. So that is four races; four races for Daniel in his comeback and four opportunities for Liam Lawson, who has done very well. He's taken it in his stride and he probably has taken Max Verstappen's advice that you told us about earlier, not overthinking it just go out there and do what comes naturally to you. It will be his first experience at the Marina Bay Circuit, a circuit which ironically Daniel has always done very well at, including of course last year after his McLaren contract had been terminated.
...
Pinkham: Daniel has to win at least two more races in Formula One, do you know why? Clarkson: I don't know, oh another quiz. I don't know tell me. Pinkham: Think about the guest on this week's podcast. He cannot retire from the sport with less race wins than his father-in-law. Clarkson: Ah [laughs] okay Pinkham: They're not getting married, it is his girlfriend's father. Just to clarify just to clarify, before we start getting any headlines.
...
Clarkson: Gerhard, it's lovely to see you. We've just been discussing your futureson-in-law on the show. Berger: Who is it? Clarkson: Daniel Ricciardo Berger: Well he’s changing all times so I don’t know. Maybe you're right for the moment.

WELL I SEE IT'S TIME TO TALK TATTOOS AGAIN
Holy cats, hoes mad:
Tumblr media
I just adore Black&White KM, don't you? Honestly, never yells at me no matter how often I steal their pics, they give out freebies at concerts, they're respectful -- if you're gonna make a living off photographing famous people, do it like they do. Honestly. So they're in Qatar doing their whole job and hoes losing their shit all over the internet, apparently, all because a certain JM is darker. STILL.
This is not a brand new development.
Tumblr media
Y'ALL HE DID THIS MONTHS AGO WHY ARE WE JUST NOW FREAKING OUT ABOUT IT?
This is at LAST YEAR'S GRAMMYS Y'ALL:
Tumblr media
And completely unedited, unretouched, the JM was darker enough then that I did a whole post about it.
I MEAN DAMN have we not gone over this, like, several times? (In case you're new to this house elf situation we have here, yes. YES WE HAVE.) We have talked about Jungkook's tattoos at GREAT LENGTH. Well, I have, as far back as a while ago, most recently along about here but also here and here and here and several other places. There is zero tag organization in this house, I don't know what else to tell you.
Anywho Jungkook's tats do not, as nearly as I can tell, mean this:
Tumblr media
Because, like the nice graphic above says that I just edited, THIS IS FAN-MADE BULLSHIT. I dunno who made it but I suspect the addition of the J upset some folk enough to need to make JeiKei's motivation anything OTHER than Jimin. Because, as we know, he started out with his ink like this:
Tumblr media
Yes, that is a pic someone ripped off. I don't like using it. But it's what we have, and it's years later, and it's been out there for a long time, don't shoot. But I have expounded more than once on why it makes NO SENSE to GO BACK LATER to add one letter to a near-complete hand piece. It doesn't. And that A is not, never has been, a V. In Korea you can go literally anywhere and see Samsung logos, Shilla hotel logos, and of course Jimin's dad's cafe' all using that stylized A with no crossbar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I think it's pretty clear what JK thinks the JM means. It means Jimin. Ji Min. JM. DUH. And just like his "rather be dead than cool / make hay while the sun shines" crossword ON HIS ARM, he has a crossword on his hand. A very obvious crossword. Who he loves is written for all of us to see: ARMY, and JM. And lest I forget about that crown:
Tumblr media
It's THE SAME CROWN. Wanna go one better but likely utter fanfiction, you could even go heart-arrow-crown like so: 💜 > 👑... ... and make that story work. It actually makes more sense than one J for four people and four letters for three. But we're not here for that. Occam's Razor tells us that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one, and the simplest explanation is the one that's got bitches tearing their hair out. Because THEY KNOW. They KNOW that JM means Jimin, and they HATE IT. (And so what, to quote JeiKei directly. We're gonna talk about fan hate today, too, just... not in this post).
MEANWHILE JUNGKOOK is always showing us his hand, too, have you noticed? Ever since he got the tattoos, but I think more in the last year. It's gotten really pronounced since the PTD dates.
Jeon Jungkook does what Jeon Jungkook wants, and what he wants is for us to pick up what he's been throwing down since, oh, FOREVER but even more recently. Like, it's NOTICEABLE, the way he gets that tattoo in frame at every opportunity. I'll run out of image space before he runs out of ways to show us his touched-up hand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah. I think the fanmade bullshit has been exposed for what it is. Some of us have known it all along, but even if you're baby Army and you accidentally got stuck watching a lot of comic sans rainbow font youtube garbage (or got up on the wrong side of stan twt), there's no shame in that. I ain't even mad. I'm just happy you're here. Jeon-Park house elves, how we doin'?

🎤 Lando's Sky Sports interview after Qualifying P10 in Qatar:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interviewer: Lando, I've just heard that you've had your lap deleted for track limits. How are you feeling?
Lando: Pissed off (smiles wryly).
Interviewer: How close was it? I don't know. I haven't seen any replays. Do you think it was close?
Lando: I just had a correction and an oversteer, and I went off so...
Interviewer: The pace of the car's been so good this week.
Lando: Yeah, it's been mint. The team have done a good job, I just messed it up, so...
Interviewer: Still a lot of opportunity for the rest of the weekend, isn't there?
Lando: I know, but I don't think like that, you know? I just think of the job I'm meant to do today, which is put in good laps, don't make mistakes, and that's all I did today. So, not a good day for me (smiles ruefully).
Interviewer: Hard luck.
Lando: Thanks.

It has been reported that the Israeli Defense Force is now on the ground in the Gaza strip, beginning what will probably be a long operation to rescue the over 200 Israeli and other foreign hostages from Hamas.
As this is happening, I want to remind you of a few things:
1. The bombs dropped on Gaza was not for revenge, nor was it punishment for the Israeli hostages.
Within the first 48 hours of Hamas’ invasion into Israel on October 7th, Hamas fired over 5000 rockets into Israel. This rocket attack began before the invasion began, and continued until just a couple of days ago. The bombs being dropped from Israel was to neutralize Hamas, who continuously barraged Israel with rockets. Can’t really ceasefire when the other side keeps firing.
2. Israel does everything it can to avoid killing civilians. Hamas does everything it can to get them killed, including kill the civilians themselves.
Israel drops notes, sends text messages, and even hacks television sets to tell the people of Gaza to evacuate, and the fastest routes to take to do so. Hamas routinely blocks the roads. If a Palestinian tries to leave on foot, Hamas threatens to kill them. Hamas shoots bullets at the people, and tells them if they try to leave, Hamas will kill them.
3. Hamas has every capability to provide for its own people, but it chooses to keep them poor.
The only job opportunities in Gaza are working for Hamas. The ones who do are paid extremely well. The ones who don’t are stuck in poverty.
4. Hamas controls speech in Gaza.
For Gazans, it's forbidden to even say that you don’t want war. Journalists are tortured, beaten, and killed if they report anything other than what Hamas tells them to report. Any Palestinian outside of Gaza who calls attention to it, if they have friends or family in Gaza, Hamas threatens and tortures them.
5. Hamas controls speech in Gaza.
No, that repeat isn’t an accident. It is a reminder for those who are unwilling to connect the dots to do so. If Hamas is so incredibly strict on the press and opinions of the general public, there is much to be said about the messaging that does freely come out of Gaza.
For example: Hamas has many people—young people—on their payroll to tell the Hamas narrative and nothing else. And for an organization worth billions of dollars, this is a well-oiled, propaganda machine.
6. Every single civilian casualty in this war is Hamas’ fault.
Based on everything provided in this article, it would be difficult, dishonest even, to conclude otherwise.
7. Every single gruesome and grotesque thing Hamas did to Israelis on October 7th, they’ve done to the people of Gaza since 2007.
Hamas executes homosexuals. They use their vehicles to drag the bodies of dissenters in the streets. They rape their women. They kill their children. Their top leaders have mansions in Gaza and other homes in Qatar where they flee to while wars they instigate wages. And they do all this while feeding disinformation to the world about why and how their people are suffering.
Since I’ve written these past 15 articles, and have been posting on this issue, I’ve been accused of hating Palestinians. Not only is that not the case, I think whoever dons the Free Palestine hashtag, posts the Palestinian flag, and chooses to make noise about this and ignore these seven unfortunate truths, does not care for Palestinians at all. Your goal is not true justice. Your goal is comfort. You’re speaking out because the issue has infiltrated your space, and now you feel you have to. You are unwilling to truly go against the grain if need be for your cause. You’d rather stay in the framework given to you.
That’s pretty selfish.
The people of Gaza who have been posting videos lambasting Hamas with their faces shown fully are the true heroes. They are the Martin Luther Kings and Nelson Mandelas of our time. They deserve to have their voices amplified by those who claim to speak for them. If you claim to be for the Palestinian people, but will not, you are hurting them.
Change comes from the people. And change, like peace, and like true justice, must be rooted in truth.
Follow Center for Peace Communications for more on the following video.

If you're condemning Israel, you've sided with the Hamas terrorist regime. If you're calling for a "ceasefire," you're calling for nothing to change, and for Hamas to be given an opportunity to regroup, recharge, re-arm and come up with even worse atrocities. Something they've already promised to do.
You also would have sided with the Iranian Islamic Regime against the Iranian protesters, and with the Taliban against the Afghans.
Hamas will not surrender. Hamas will not negotiate. A truce benefits only Hamas. Israel needs to be allowed to hunt down and exterminate Hamas, just as the Gazans themselves want.

The love at time of the World Cup- John Stones
Request: Could the reader work with both Manchester City and England as a photographer (feel free to add any position)? They have a good friendship for a while, but he totally has a crush on her. They didn't have a chance to have a proper chat until they were traveling to Qatar for the World Cup. Maybe the lads will always tease him about it, and Dave the Cat could be a supporting actor too.
Warning: something extra fluffy I guess?

Is there something more cliché than being an employeee for a big football club and fall in love with one of the players? Maybe yes but that was exactly how the story between you and John went and it was like a fairytale to you.
You would blush madly every time you made eye contact with him and the little smile that came across his lips afterwards made your cheeks turn even redder, hiding then behind your camera to go back to your working duties, hoping the lense would be able to catch his beautiful smiley features instead of your own eyes.
The start of it was a bit rough as you were really, really shy and wouldn't dare to approach any of the players, fearing you would have bothered them so you just stuck to what your job required you to do.
John, on his part, would take every given occasion to share a word with you, even for a small and casual "how are you?" but nothing more happened as it was kind of hard having a real conversation.
"Mate, why don't you ask her out instead of eating her with your eyes??" Kyle asked, blurted out better, John seeing as his friend couldn't keep his stare away from you for too long.
"Shut up mate!" John tried to shush him because he felt embarrassed and, above all, didn't want you to hear.
"Why should I?? You both clearly like each other, you keep flirting and you're both embarrassing, you're a match made in heaven!" He joked, playfully shoving the City defender.
“She’s kinda shy, what if she’s too embarrassed to say yes?”
“You scared of that? Really? She won’t ever say no, she’s so into you”
John sighed, his stare fixed on you who were chatting with one of the guys of the social team.
“And I know you’re mad about that guy who’s making her laugh right now”
John blushed and smirked, that smirk meaning his friend’s supposition was highly correct: he would have liked to punch that man right in the face, even though he didn’t do anything wrong except for the fact he was doing what he should have been doing, making you laugh.
"Come on!" Kyle jokingly pushed John closer to you, the whole situation making him kind of embarrassed.
The first thing that came to his mind was talking about work as you were part of City's first then England's social media team and you just recorded that funny interview he and Kyle just gave.
"Hey" The City player walked closer to you and your coworker, ready to take his place.
"Hi John! What's up? The interview was so good, the fans will love it!" You really were happy with the outcome so it came out as something natural to compliment him.
"Yeah, thanks" He blushed slightly, scratching the back of his neck "It was fun, you had such a good idea"
Now it was your turn to blush as you weren't expecting that compliment from him.
After that first real conversation you had together, you had started talking on the phone too as you both couldn't go a day without each other's texts as they soon became the highlight of your day.
The Euro 2020 was the occasion for you to spend more time together as you were offered a place in the England's social media team and you didn't want to miss the opportunity for the world as it would have been such an important shift in your career
What brought you unexpectedly closer was the presence of a kitten that liked to spend his days near the team's hotel, waiting for some of the players to pet him and among them there was John.
"I'm deadly allergic to cats but this one is so cute I wanna pet him"
"I don't wanna take you to the hospital or something so stay away from him"
"You care more about me or about the cat?"
"Why are you asking that?"
"Just answer" You giggled, teasing him.
"The cat of course" He joked, winking at you.
"We should find him a shelter"
"Indeed…I'll take care of him for now"
"Hey you two already adopted a cat! Your relationship is going very well from what I see!" Eric shouted seeing you really close to each other, sharing the cat.
“We are not sharing anything” You chuckled, walking away as the blush that tinted your cheeks spoke for itself, before the boys could make fun of you.
It wasn’t the truth that you two weren’t sharing anything because you soon came to share his lips as they pressed the softest kiss on yours that night, the sweetest goodnight kiss ever.
You were officially a couple, making everyone around you cheer the moment you decided to make things official.
That was only the first kiss you would get from him as he took every given occasion to steal kisses from you: trapping you inside empty rooms only to give you a quick peck, waiting for everyone to leave so he could squeeze your hands and kiss you goodbye before leaving for the next game. It could safely said that you turned into his lucky charm.
The stolen kisses soon became some kind of ritual the British player couldn't go without, taking it to Manchester too.
The summer of 2021 was the moment everything started, the moment you realised you were made for each other but the Qatar World Cup was what sealed the intensity of your relationship: the year and a half in between the two international competitions went on smoothly as you started dating without hiding, met the respective families and shared a house.
As you were there in the stands watching the players warming up in the insufferably hot Qatari weather, you relived the whole timeline of your love story all over again. That caused you to sigh contentedly because, after more than a year, you were still there and going strong.
"I'm so proud of you" You breathed in his neck as his hot tears soaked your shoulder. "You did so well, I love you so much"
Even though a lot of things changed some of them stayed the same: as it happened in 2021, a cat was still there playing cupid and his teammates were still there making fun of him for being so hopelessly in love. The only thing that changed was that the cat, he and Kyle renamed Dave, made it to Instagram, becoming a worldwide sensation and that you were bearing his child but he didn’t know it yet.
Another thing stayed the same though: England didn't make it to the end of the tournament, losing the final back in 2021 and facing the quarter-final exit against France this time, but you were still there for him, waiting for him with your arms open to welcome him in the safest place you could offer. The only difference was that you could have done it out in the open now, not fearing anyone’s judgement or some tabloids slamming stolen pictures of you two on their covers under some nasty headline.
"Take me home"
"We'll go soon baby, I promise"
His sadness and disappointment made your eyes teary too as you couldn't bear seeing him like that.
"There'll be better times, everything's gonna be alright" You kept whispering in his hair, placing kisses among his curls.
John finally tilted up his head, his beautiful green eyes, made even more beautiful by the glossy layer his tears had been applying to them, looking right into yours. You were the only person who could’ve kept him sane and you would’ve done everything possible to take care of him who was nothing but a frail man who needed all the love in the world.
"I love you"
"I love you more"

Interview with Miro Klose
By: Kicker
Tumblr media
About his new job as an expert for Prime Video:
When the Prime Video offer came along, I wanted to take the opportunity to further my education. I exchange ideas with Matthias Sammer, analyze matches with him and gain a lot from it. Standing in front of the camera and refreshing my media training from the coaching course also helps me move forward
Tumblr media
About Bambi:
That is outstanding. Jamal accepted everything, wanted to implement everything straight away and was always very hard-working. We still write to each other and make fun of his former leather allergy
Leather allergy?
Yes, he made a few Stockfehler (In German "Stockfehler" is a way of saying to ball control mistakes, Miro is making a joke about the mistakes Bambi made was because of allergy to ball leather 😹). And today, when you see how he processes the ball at top speed with his right and left and how tightly he handles the ball, it's a pleasure to watch him
He Is happy for his former boys at Bayern and talk about Florian Wirtz :
Malik Tillman, now at Eindhoven, went his own way, Lasse Günther at Wehen Wiesbaden, Jamie Lawrence at Magdeburg and many more, most recently Frans Krätzig
Will the latter make the breakthrough at the record champions?
Football-wise, he can do everything. The question is whether Frans has the robustness and speed for the Bundesliga. I also tried to bring Florian Wirtz to Munich. As a younger player, he single-handedly destroyed us in the U17 championship. With him and Jamal, you could tell straight away that they were going to appear on the big stage
Tumblr media
About Xabi and Leverkusen:
It seems that you can discover a lot of Pep's style of play in him. It's a great asset when you have that feeling as a team: A lot would have to happen for things to go wrong today.
Bayer offer the whole package: great goals, free-kicks, corner kicks. It's beautiful to watch, there's meticulous work behind it.
Will Leverkusen threaten Bayern on the road this season?
I would like to see their play rewarded in the long run. I don't hope that Leverkusen will collapse. So far, they've made too solid an impression on me for that to happen. And it depends on how they react when setbacks occur
Tumblr media
About the NT:
I hope that the players will remember that they represent the German national team, which has gone far in most tournaments in the past. You can't just start making an effort in the round of 16 or quarter-finals
The team has something to make up to its fans. The quality is there, as always. It wasn't down to quality at the 2018 World Cup or in Qatar. The fundamental questions for the last 10, 15 percent are: How much is each player there for the other, how much does everyone put their ego aside? What a fire we had in training in Brazil! There was a bang
