For Nicholas you tried to brush off your groggy head space but he could see right past it. And his love for you he couldn’t sit around any longer as his concert grew stronger. Sitting with you on the couch he rests his hand on your leg and lightly squeezed it.

“Is something up? You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to but if you just want me to be here I will.” He left the door open to you, letting you take the lead on how much info you’d allow him into that pretty mind of yours.
