you know that moment when Gojo turns off his technique to let Yuji and Nobara hug him? It's the same here, right?...

For a brief moment he turned off his technique to allow himself to be reached (and in a sense this was him reaching back).

He's so stupid I swear... I have never cared for Gojo, seriously, but the end to his arc has really made him endearing to me because these details re-contextualized him and the irony of his tragedy and sense of isolation.

JJK Chapter 223 Spoilers: Gojo vs Sukuna Fight Begins

Its a great time to be a Jujutsu Kaisen fan right now. Despite all the backlash and whining about the time-skip that we had in the previous chapter, JJK chapter 223 is proving to be thoroughly enjoyable; at least from the leaks that have surfaced online.

When the time skip happened, we were sure that a lot of flashbacks were going to happen during the course of the epic Gojo vs Sukuna showdown.

The best part, and in fact, the most hype part about the chapter is that Gojo vs Sukuna is officially happening and it started with a bang!!

One of my favorite things about Sukuna is that we hardly know anything about him. We know he’s THE King of Curses, he’s a bonafide bully, and he’s incredibly wise. Psychologically, Sukuna is... idk... sexy.

Also, leave it to a brainiac like myself to think that someone’s mind can be sexy.

So because his character gets revealed little by little, I love seeing non Daddy Sukuna get serious against Gojo. I am totally hoping we get a nice battle of minds on top of your classic battle shonen showdown extraordinaire.

Like, this is meant to be an epic battle but... can Gege top the excitement that defined the “Kin-chan vs. Kashi-chan” battle and the battle of ideologies from chapter 214?

Is this even the final battle?

I think the smartest thing we can all do as a fandom rn is to read without expectations. If jjk is harping on one thing is the importance of the mind, and a mind with expectations is attached to outcomes. Exercise that sexy brain of yours and learn about your expectations without judgment. If you find that you still don’t like jjk, that’s ultimately your choice.

Me, I’m fandom.

Anyways... I’m kind of sad Viz did away with the reference to Gojo embodying a trickster archetype and am wondering if it’s a thread worth pursuing or not. One of the trickster archetype’s characteristics is that the humor hides deceit.
