the cute barista from the local cafe is my type
Tumblr media
☆ SYNOPSIS: with the rumors of a cute barista going on around college, you decided to pay a visit there after training alongside your little sister. unfortunately, you never expected to the rumors being actually true.
☆ PAIRING: sung jinwoo x male! reader.
☆ KEYWORDS: (s/n)-> sister’s name
☆A/N: saw a fanart of @wonderingcheese of jinwoo as a barista and I couldn’t not write about it. so take this as a gift while I write the others requests.
Tumblr media
“i-i would like a black coffee..”
“good choice, dude.”
The rumors around college are wrong. The barista of the local cafe isn’t cute, he is extremely handsome. His grey eyes matching with his black hair is a perfect match to someone so muscular like him. And his sharp facial features give the mysterious vibes that everyone is taking about.
At first, you didn’t want to come to this cafe. Not with the responsibility of being both the student council president and also taking care of your nine years old sister while parents are out of town. However, with the rumors going on and the fact that [s/n] wanted to come here changed your whole day schedule.
“And I would like something sweetie! Like a cheesecake!” your little sister barely reach the countertops to order. “A glass of green tea too, ah, mrs. sung.”
Her spark eyes read the name tag on the black haired man. With her arms behind her back and the tiny blush on the little girl’s, it’s clear. [s/n], your little sister, just gained another of those crushes she has. At least, this time it’s a real guy, not fictional.
The barista, now knows as sung jinwoo, smiles at you and [s/n]. “It will be in cash?”
“Y-yeah.” you take a few banknotes and payed for the order while trying your very best (and failing) to avoid his grey eyes. “Can you bring to us at the table?”
Sung Jinwoo nodded and gave you the change. The brief moment your hand touched his, you felt something off about him. Maybe it’s the air conditioner or the fact there is no one else in the cafe with the exception for the three of us, but…You feel many eyes watching your back.
[s/n] choose to sit close to the window, where she can take a great view of the bright sun outside which shiny the cafe’s inside. Even though, she is only a child and quite sheltered due to her weak health, she isn’t stupid or naive about her older brother.
“You like him, don’t you?” she whispered. “I saw the way you look at him, so you can keep him.”
Her words made your face blush entirely. You avoid look at her and stare at Sung Jinwoo, only to the barista smiles back at you, making you blush even more.
“Why you think that?” you asked her, trying to pretend her question isn’t bothering you at all.
The little girl giggle, enjoying how embarrassed you are with her words. [s/n] isn’t waste any second on seeing you like this, “You always act like an idiot whatever you see someone good looking around.” she explained. “Good thing you aren’t drooling this time.”
You give her a death stare. For a nine years old, she has the guts to speak like that to her old brother, the very same one who brought her to this cafe, because she asked it. As the older brother, you are holding yourself to not leave her alone in this cafe.
“Whatever.” you roll your eyes. “Tell anyone about it and I won’t let you eat ice cream before dinner.”
With the threatening, the little girl didn’t speak any more words til Sung Jinwoo brought the order to the table, when she shyly thanked him for her drink and her cheesecake.
He smiled to the little girl and let her hair, before turning his grey eyes into your [e/c] ones. When he handed your black coffee, Sung Jinwoo smirked and whispered to you:
“Call me.” he left after saying that.
His words made you freeze immediately. Did he asked you out? This has to be a dream, yet the phone number write in the coffee cup made you think better. Who would guess that you would be the lucky one to get the barista’s number? The sweet moment of such realization wasn’t even broken down by [s/n], she decided to stay quiet and let you enjoy the moment.
Behind the counter, Sung Jinwoo clean the utensils as he fail to ignore his shadows gossiping about what he just did. The tiny blush on his cheek make things better.
“The monarch asked him out!”
“Finally! Our king will be together with him again!”
“This time, our monarch was the one who took the first step!”
The shadows keep talking with each other as Jinwoo took a look at [name] and his little sister, both of them are talking and smiling to each other, sometimes the [h/c] haired boy would catch a glimpse at the barista.
Jinwoo giggle to himself as he finish putting away his utensils. With the cafe almost empty, he took a seat behind the counter and began staring at [name] with his grey eyes become softer while the monarch remembers the sweet memories they both shared in the prior timeline.
He hopes to be with you again in this life.

╰┈➤ ❝ [ Let Me Pluck Out The Stars For You, Sunshine ] ¡! ❞
You don't know how you did it, but somehow the infamous Sung Jinwoo who is reveled in your grade level for his exceptional looks— Is your boyfriend. You were about to go home since the last bell of the school day rang in the distance. As you get up, you feel someone's chin rest on top of your hair. "Wanna walk home together, again?" Jinwoo asks with his calm and deep voice, his tone holding a sweet edge to it. "Hm?"
The pressure on top of your head had successfully snapped you out of your daze. Jinwoo removes himself from being nestled on your hair and looks down on your lovely face with the sweetest smiles on his face.
You shy away from his gaze, nodding your head slowly.
“Hm,” Jinwoo nods his head, leaning in to kiss the top of your head before stretching his large hand out to you— Offering it.
As soon as your palm touches his, Jinwoo lightly intertwines your fingers together as he leads you down the stairs.
He knew for a fact that you’re probably upset and not in the mood to talk about it. He wasn’t the type of boyfriend who would probe at his lover to get them to talk.
No.
Jinwoo was the type of person who is silent when he is upset, he’d rather be on his bed and dead asleep— Away from the world. He was often in his room whenever he wasn’t in the mood.
And today in particular, his beloved must be going through those emotions seeing how dejected and sluggish they are moving.
He shakes his head, gently tugging you to the alleyway and placing a finger on your lips to keep you from asking.
“It’s alright,” Jinwoo says. “How about we go on a makeshift date? It’s not a school day tomorrow so let’s spend the night away”
You didn’t protest, and in an instant, Jinwoo wrapped his arms around your waist, holding your waist as close as possible while the darkness beneath your feet hummed and whirled— As if it was rising. You then feel yourself getting lifted off of the ground and you panic.
“Sarang, it’s okay” Jinwoo chuckles, kissing your cheek as the shadows rose beneath the both of you and formed into a dragon made of misty shadows. “It’s all mine, so don’t be afraid”
As you both rose above the city lights, your eyes would then sweep towards the brilliant lights of the cityscape as Jinwoo flies both of you above it on the dragon’s back.
While your eyes are busily distracted on the cityscape, Jinwoo leans towards your ear— Kissing the shell sweetly to get your attention.
“How come you’re already this distracted, hm? I haven’t even started yet?” Jinwoo gently says as he commands his shadow to traverse over the expansive ocean glistening beneath the bright moonlight.
Fast as everything was, Jinwoo was unconsciously doing it because he felt like he would run out of time. After all, he wasn’t able to spend time with you like this before he had resetted time after defeating all the monarchs. He wanted to do so many things at once.
He spent years in the abyssal world murdering the monarchs all over again and levelling up. The stress of it all put him into a trance-like state where he feels just so lost in a complete daze of battle and bathing in blood as he leaves a river of bodies at his wake.
But either way, it isn’t about him tonight.
It’s about you.
The you who needs him at this moment. He doesn’t know what has frustrated you to this point. It could be the piling homeworks, the anxiety of your grades, the stress over preparing for the upcoming exams. Projects had been piling left and right with each subject becoming harder and harder.
Everything had just been stressful for you and he knew that you craved isolation more than anything else and you needed something to just take your mind off of anywhere.
And thank god it was working as he had taken you to an isolated island not yet soiled by human hands.
He loves the way your dreamy eyes would twinkle as you both traversed in the vast woods of the weird place. It was all just greenery and lovely fireflies fluttering about, illuminating the little path you were both exploring. Of course, Jinwoo summons a little flame on his hand so that you could see the plants you are stepping on.
Jinwoo loves that expression more than anything. Your pretty little face beaming with joy as it observes all the wonderful things this lone island had to bring. Tall, ancient old trees that had a comforting scent to them. The gentle rustles of the leaves as if it were singing melodies for you, the sounds of distant owls hooting were making you jump from spook and wonder, everything in here was just making you squeal like a child opening a christmas gift.
And behind you was your boyfriend, a gentle smile on his lips as he lovingly watched you prance around the fallen leaves and branches.
“Feeling better?” Jinwo asks sweetly, his arm finding itself instinctively wrapped around your waist.
You nod your head, and he rewards you again with another kiss.
You really can’t tell how many times he had kissed your forehead for the whole day at this point, he just kept giving you pecks left and right. As if he was making sure every pore on your face isn’t untouched by him. He would bring up your hand to his lips, kissing every knuckle on it,  silently making promises.
“Baby…” He purrs softly, nuzzling the side of your head with his nose, inhaling in your scent. “If there’s anything that bothers you, tell me, tell me and I’ll bring you somewhere far away to take your mind off of it. You just need to ask me, and I will do it. Don’t hide yourself from me”
Please,...
Don’t be like him, don’t be like him who needed to bottle up everything in his heart because he had a duty as a monarch. You shouldn’t be hiding away the pain you have inside your chest, you shouldn’t be in any sort of pain.
Jinwoo had resetted time for everyone’s sake, yes, but mostly it was because of you. He wanted to make up the lost time he had with you ever since he became a player. He felt awfully guilty for not having taken you out on dates. Sure, he did a few times when he was an S-ranked but most of the time he is drowned in work and you are left in your devices. The person who had supported him throughout all of his suffering.
He is doing this all to ask for forgiveness, each kiss is a silent sorry for the many seconds he had spent away from you.
So please,
Don’t let your heart be burdened with worries.
Don’t ever let your pretty face be crinkled with anxiety.
Let him do the heavy-lifting. Let him have the burden. Let him receive all the woe that is meant to befall on your pretty, pretty little face.
Like the stars above your heads, twinkling from millions of lightyears away, his love for you— Will always and continue to be endless as they are blanketing the dark night sky.

Hi, sir, could you please split me open?
Sung Jinwoo x Fem! Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: I NEED HIM URGRHRHRBRBRBR 😞😞😞😞. This is just very short, like tiny short
Warning(s): suggestive, NOT PROOFREAD, ooc maybe idk (i only write for fun BC WHY DOES THIS MAN HAVE SMALL AMOUNT OF WRITERS)
Your heart throbbed rapidly as you glanced at Jinwoo. His hands occupied your mind incessantly. A flood of excitement embraced you entirely as you studied your boyfriend for no particular reason.
Gods—his knuckles were protruding slightly, adding his well-known character and strength. Whenever he stretched those long fingers out, you couldn't help but deem it gracefully. Those were the hands of Jinwoo, hands that possessed the ability to convey emotions through gestures, from tender caresses to authoritative commands.
But those were also the hands of a man who liked to hold you, that touched you everywhere, which offered reassurance, comfort, and love. His veins meandering beneath the surface, hinting at a life of movement and vitality.
The softness of your gaze caught Jinwoo's attention. You appeared oblivious as he tracked your eyes, which landed on his hands.
Why's she looking at it? He smiled at you looking quite a bit smitten with him.
Ah, you were going to be the death of him.
Jinwoo's smile stretched just a bit. He began to lift his left hand to his eyes—and true to form, your eyes followed his hand's path.
When your eyes finally settled on him, he pulled away his hand and offered you that sweet, serene smile.
You were convinced something brushed against your neck, but you responded with a smile, understanding it as the unavoidable Jinwoo effect taking hold.
"What?" He asked. "You like my hands that much?"
"Your hands are… soft to look at." You remarked. "But nothing will top your hair though."
You got up from the couch and approached to sit beside him. Seeing his attention on you, you grasped his hands and pressed yours onto his.
You smiled softly. Jinwoo swore he'd never seen anything so beautiful, beyond comparison.
He looked at your tender hands pressed into his palm. Yours seemed dainty in comparison to his. Widening your smile, you lined up the tips of your fingers with his and extended them outwards, prompting his fingers to mimic yours.
You chuckled. You couldn't help it.
"This doesn't look like the explicit hands that split me open last night."
Red flooded Jinwoo's cheeks up to his ears as he felt every chill slithering through his body. He groaned and as if instinctively enveloped your hands with his through the gaps between your fingers.
"Don't, before I do that again."
I smiled mischievously. "Why not? I'd like to see at least four of them tear me open."
Jinwoo's entire face went redder.

Something’s Wrong
Antares!Jin-Woo x Reader
Tumblr media
Something was wrong with your boyfriend.
Or at least that was conclusion you chalked up to after his rather weird behavior.
Usually Jin-Woo was so precise about being at his jobs slightly earlier than scheduled but this morning you had been called (as his emergency contact) to let you know he had been nearly late for his work and asked if he had any troubles at home. Since you two didn’t live together yet, you had gotten worried and went to check on him, only being told to ‘Step aside, before the puny humans kill themselves’.
Therefore, you had decided to wait outside the dungeon patiently for him and the rest of the hunters. When they had come back, the hunters were noticeably shaken while “Jin-Woo” was covered in debris with a fanged grin on his face. To anyone else this would have been a major red flag but to you only had you cooing over him and trying to open his mouth to see if all his teeth were sharper than knives.
The other hunters looked upon you two with horror, while “Jin-Woo” merely slacked back and grumbled at your attempts and didn’t do much more than that.
This did seem to make a bit of pattern the rest of the day with you being affectionate with him and him ‘begrudgingly’ accepting it. Although you did notice a bit of reciprocation when the day was ending. It was even more so when you had to leave for the day.
You said your goodbyes and gave him a tight squeeze. You expected him to just grumble and wave you but when you felt a palm briefly touch your back, you were startled.
Surprised, you looked up to ask if he was feeling back to normal only to be stopped by a pointed glare.
However it did soften and soon his hand swiftly retreated.
“I suppose you are not as you humans say “all that bad”.

hello!! i was wondering if i could request a platonic Jinwoo x m! reader fic (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
y/n info: he'd very introverted and antisocial, making Jinwoo his only friend. he doesn't show much emotion, but not in a menacing way.. more like.. a doll? if that makes sense. he also lives in a very empty n ominous mansion-ish building. he doesn't talk much at all, but loves listening to Jinwoo talk. the first time he saw the shadows he was kinda spooked, but sees them as friends :3
so basically.. antisocial goth y/n :3
he may or may not have watched period dramas with Beru when Jinwoo wasn't there

୭🧷✧˚. ᵎᵎ 🎀
Whenever Jinwoo finds himself remembering his childhood, the first thing that comes to mind is a huge mansion that was close to his house.
The reason for this was perhaps because she was completely different from anything he had ever seen.
Its color was as dark as a starless night, causing its figure to be rooted in the back of his mind like vines.
At the entrance, it had a large black gate with sharp spikes at the top; a vast and beautiful garden with long bushes of red roses, and in the center, there was a fountain – being the statue of an angel holding a vase. As said before, the mansion was completely black, along with its windows – which seemed to have a wine-like tone.
Jinwoo remembers that when his mother took him to school, they always passed in front of the mansion's big gate. Thus, causing Jinwoo's eyes to be immediately drawn towards her, and most of the time, he would see a figure in one of the windows on the 2nd floor, but the moment he blinked, It disappeared.
A few years later he discovered that people lived in that mansion.
The (l/n) family.
On a specific day, Mr. and Mrs. (l/n) had a big party, inviting everyone from the neighborhood. His parents didn't want to seem rude, so they accepted the invitation.
Jinwoo will never admit it, but back then he was afraid of the couple. Since the (l/n) only wore black clothes, and had this cold and indifferent aura.
But the moment the couple saw their family standing at the door of the mansion, they greeted them with a big smile on their faces – shined so much that could be compared to the sun itself – and a cheerful and kind personality.
Jinwoo remembers that Mr. (l/n) couldn't stop shaking his father's hand in an excited way.
Jinwoo's mother has him sitting on a soft red sofa, while she goes to get him some appetizers to eat.
Seeing his mother disappear among the other guests, Jinwoo turns around, only to find himself face to face with a child sitting on the sofa facing his.
Jinwoo is startled, giving a noticeable jump. He puts his hand on his heart, feeling it beating quickly, but Jinwoo swears it was about to come out of his mouth. This definitely took 5 years off his life.
After a while, Jinwoo calms down a little. 'Who is this boy? He wasn't here before...' he breaks out in a cold sweat, looking at the mysterious boy suspiciously.
Meanwhile, he was just there, looking at Jinwoo with those big, dilated eyes – like a wild animal staring at its prey, motionless as a statue.
Jinwoo wonders if this boy is a living person or just a weird, extremely detailed doll, as he doesn't even appear to be breathing and his face doesn't seem to express any specific emotion.
Unconsciously, the two began to have a competition of who blinks first. Jinwoo was afraid that if he blinked or looked away for a second, the boy would disappear or appear next to him on the couch.
Jinwoo was startled when his mother appeared holding a plate with some appetizers – placing it on the small table between the two boys.
Then his mother started talking to the mysterious boy.
She turned around with a smile, "Jinwoo this is (m/n), son of Mrs. and Mr. (l/n), say hello to him."
After that day, the (l/n) family always called Jinwoo's family to have dinner together or just spend the weekend at the mansion playing golf – yes, they had a golf area in the back of the mansion.
This ended up resulting in the two families becoming great friends, along with Jinwoo and (m/n).
As time passed, Jinwoo realized that it wasn't that (m/n) didn't have emotions or feelings, he just didn't know how to express himself, ending up looking like a lifeless doll like the day they met.
Jinwoo was surprised when (m/n) said that on the day of the party, he was very excited to talk to Jinwoo, but didn't know how to start.
So (m/n) just stood there staring at him.
Years later, (m/n)'s parents moved to another city and left the mansion in (m/n)'s hands.
(m/n) didn't awaken as a hunter, so he started making dolls of all kinds. And he even made a lot of money selling them.
He had difficulty talking to other people, so the only friend he had in all these years was Sung Jin-Woo. And even when Jinwoo had his 2nd awakening, (m/n) thought it was really cool and remained his longtime friend.
But one thing was certain, Jinwoo always left Beru in (m/n)'s shadow.
The problem was, (m/n) didn't know that.
(m/n) was almost finishing one of the dolls from an order.
The last thing he needed to do was choose which of the two dresses looked best on the doll.
'The blue or the red?' (m/n) asked himself mentally.
"blue " replied a voice from beyond.
(m/n) jumped, causing him to hit his knee on the table. As he cringed in pain, he could hear, deep in his mind, a desperate voice repeatedly apologizing and saying something like:
"My majesty will kill me!! ".
After that day, Jinwoo introduced Beru to (m/n).
(M/n) found it strange and uncomfortable at first. For the simple fact that when he was working, someone was there with him watching what he was doing in complete silence.
So this was how Jinwoo felt when they were both kids and he just sat there and watched him play?
He was never much of a talker, but he loved listening to Jinwoo talk to him.
But after a while the two started talking to each other, and every now and then, (m/n) asks the shadow in the shape of an ant, which of the dresses would look prettier on the doll.
Just like the day they met.
And they definitely watched period dramas together at Jinwoo's house and when Jinwoo arrived from a portal, (m/n) was asleep on Beru's shoulder.

Sir... We have a problem!
Tumblr media
Sung Jin-Woo X Pregnant Reader
Synopsis: The reader is going into labor, her husbands not there to take her to a hospital, and there's a thunderstorm.
Warnings: Angst to Fluffy and funny
F/n: Friends name
It all happened within a blink of an eye
You were sitting alone with your friend in your shared apartment. All laughs and giggles as the two of you watched your favorite tv comedy show as the storm raged on outside. You sat down on the side of the sofa with a bag of popcorn on top of your swollen belly as your friend sat on the side of the couch. Your F/n chattered as the raindrops hit the window. But for a moment, you thought about your husband. Even though he's the Shadow Monarch, he's still human, and sometimes...just what if...
"Y/n, You okay?" Your F/n Asked while she had food shoved in her mouth. You snapped herself back to reality. " Oh yeah, I'm fine. I just needed to think," You reassured her as she reached for the cup in front of her only to find it empty. She was going o head to the kitchen, but you stopped her. "Please allow me," You spoke softly, as she'd nearly struggled it lift herself off the couch. "No way. I'm letting my pregnant friend go and get me something to drink. Just sit back down and rest." But you had already got up from the sofa. " Hey, I'm not defenseless... just heavily pregnant." You placed your hand on your giant tummy and sighed. "Tell that to overprotective shadow husband." She added with a playful, sarcastic comment. You tapped her shoulder as she walked back to her seat. You swayed into the kitchen, humming to the music inside your head. As you were about to fill the cup, your stomach rumbled. You sighed. " It would seem you are not satisfied, little one."
This all went by so quickly. From the day you informed him you were pregnant, it was as though he fell in love with you all over again. You remember how he spun around in circles, tears of happiness in his eyes, chiming: I'm going to b a father. Even his shadows screamed with joy, mostly Beru. The fridge opened as you reached for the pack of strawberries. Before you could even grab them, a sharp pain hit your belly. Dropping the cup and shattered it on the ground. F/n shot up from the sofa and dashed into the kitchen. " Hey, what the- Oh My God!" She screamed as she instantly rushed to your side. " Baby...Baby, it's coming." Y/n groaned at another sharp pain hitting her again.
" I thought you said The baby was coming in two weeks!"
" well, the baby said now! And, I believe they get to choose-" You screamed, the contractions are really are a pain. Tears started to fall from your face. Your friend helped you from the kitchen and took you to the bedroom. The storm roared and boomed as the raindrops came heavier. F/n grunted as she placed you gently on the bed and pulled back the curtain. Seeing the heavy rainfall and twisted winds, " Damnit, there's no way in hell we'll make it to a hospital at this rate, the storm coming harder than I thought." She covered the window, " It looks like we're gonna need some assistance," She sighed as she took off her button, short sleeve shirt, revealing the black tank top. You took deep breaths to not think about the pain. But every time you did, it shot back at you like lightning.
"There is...one way," You added as your friends helped you sit up on the pile of pillows she set behind you.
"Come out."
The shadow moved from under you, forming one of the high orcs your husband placed in your shadow before you left. He stared at you with very uneasy and worried eyes, staring at you confused. You tried your best to clarify the situation. " Look…right now… I'm going into labor…" You whined, " Tell your master to…come home now…If he's in the middle of fighting the boss…W0ooo…." You sucked your bottom lip as the pain worsens." Alright, I have an idea." F/n exclaimed as she grabbed three knuckle braces and positioned herself on a nearby wall. F/n made circular motions as the glowing portal opened from the wall. " Just…please, yell at him to get his attention if…you must…Now Go!" He nodded and submerged into the darkness. The portal closed after Jin-ah and her mother stepped through. F/n clarified the circumstances.
"Ready yourselves, ladies. It is going to be a long night." A strike of lightning reflected across the grey atmosphere.
-------------------------------------------
The shadow soldier reemerged from out of the shadows in the dungeon. To see his king and the rest of the soldiers finishing off the monsters. HE puffed his chest as he took a deep inhale. And shouted echoing throughout the dungeon.
"THE QUEEN'S IN LABOR!"
Everyone went silent for about 10 seconds before yelling back.
" WHAT!?!?"
Jinwoo was now forming with questions while shaking his soldier like a maraca. " Is she okay?" the baby okay?" " Are My Babies okay?!"
" Yes...but no. The Queen is in a lot of pain."
" Have the contractions started yet?!" Jin-ho added in a panicking tone. He looked at him blankly with bug eyes and scratched the back of his bald head, " What are contractions?" Before Jin-ho could answer, Jinwoo stormed out of the dungeon on Kaisel, leaving some shadow soldiers to help take the monster's corpses away from the dungeon.
-----------------------------------------------
Jinwoo arrived safely at his home, drenched and completely soaked while he almost busted the door open. " Y/N-ah?" He called out, and you screamed in reply. It's coming from the bedroom. HE rushed to the bedroom with fear in his eyes. Please be okay, please be okay. The door flew open as he stormed in. Only to be taken aback by a new sound of cries. You were, lying in bed, exhausted, with your little newborns cradled on either side of her chest. You hold back a few tears seeing your new beautiful girls. One had your hair and her father's eyes while the other looked exactly like her father.
He dropped to his knees, tears streaming down his cheeks. They're beautiful, he thought as he walked toward you. And his new family in her arms. He is officially a father now. He gently held on to the little girls in his arms. And he spoke so softly it felt like a whisper, " Hi, sweetheart, it's daddy talking to you. He waited long for you and your sister to be here." He kneeled down to your level and placed a loving kiss on your forehead, " Thank you, love, you made me even happier since I've met you."
"And I thank you for being such a devoted husband and partner." You said as he grazed your cheek with a kind smile. " You know, I wasn't expecting we have twins." He added.
You nodded, playfully poking his nose, "But now we have double the attention, don't you think?" He quietly chuckled at your response. " That we do."
" Heyy, not to ruin the mood but can I hold one of my nieces now?! I did help out!" JIn-ah quietly shouted while she leaned into her brother's ear.
------------------------------
A/n: Should I do part 2? Just for fun? Also, I accidentally deleted your king awaits post and now I can't remember how it go! :(

Day 9: Eunwoo + JinJin 🎄 Voyeurism
Kinkmas 2023
You and Dongmin had really thought you'd have the dorm to yourselves for the night, so Jinwoo walking in while you were fucking on the living room couch was a surprise to say the least.
When you heard the lock being opened, you scrambled to act as though you were just watching TV together, but it was far from convincing.
"You know, I don't care if you have sex here, right? Like, I know you fuck here, it's not like it's some secret." Jinwoo set down his keys and shrugged off his coat, seeming unfazed by the whole situation. Under the blanket that Dongmin haphazardly threw over the both of you, you were half naked and had his cock stilled inside of you.
You cleared your throat to say something but Dongmin beat you to it. "What, so do you want us to just fuck in front of you, not even caring when you walk in?"
Jinwoo smirked crookedly, tonguing his cheek and letting his eyes linger over the blanket. "I mean...kinda."
Your pussy clenched at the idea of him watching; you'd always been attracted to your boyfriend's friend and roommate, just kept that to yourself. Dongmin chuckled darkly, getting your attention to look at him. He noticed the way you clenched around him. "What, you like that? Want him to watch?" He subtlely pressed deeper into you and you must have been really cock drunk because you easily agreed to having Jinwoo watch you both.
In a few minutes the blanket was tossed aside, Jinwoo was comfortably watching from a chair on the side, and Dongmin continued where he had left off. You laid on your side with Dongmin fucking you from behind, a soft moan leaving you when he moved again.
"You like him watching, hm, sweetheart?" Dongmin's voice was low, right at your ear. You were unsure if Jinwoo could even hear.
You glanced over to him and saw him gently rubbing the growing bulge in his pants. It did turn you on to see someone else getting horny because of you. And if you got to keep getting railed at the same time, even better. You sighed contently and nodded affirmatively, reaching down to lazily rub at your clit.
Jinwoo noticed you watching him and smiled but broke any eye contact. He reached into his pants and stroked his length more directly now, his eyes mainly focused on where your body connected with Dongmin's.
Your senses felt heightened, a need to perform pushing you on, in the best way. You wanted to put on a show, for someone else to see how good you can fuck and how good you get fucked. You were so head over heels for him, you wished you could show Dongmin's skills in bed off to the whole world.
Dongmin fucked you harder, the whole couch starting to shake with each thrust, and his groans were music to your ears. But you were used to hearing them; Jinwoo's low moans cut through and pierced your ears, a rush running through you down to your pussy. You noticed Dongmin was watching Jinwoo and you did the same. His pants lowered just enough to get his cock out, he stroked it pretty quickly, biting his lip.
Fuck, that was hot.
"She really likes having you watch," Dongmin chuckled. "She's so wet and keeps clenching around me. So tight, aren't you, sweetie?" You looked back at him with a slight blush, unsure if he was okay with you admitting your attraction to another man. "It's okay, I know it's hot. I think it's hot too." He spoke only to you now, punctuating the comment with a sweet kiss.
"Yeah, I like an audience." You watched Jinwoo's eyes meet yours and saw him swallow hard, his hand speeding up.
Dongmin grunted and kissed up your neck, his hot breath fanning over your skin heavily. "Gonna cum in you, sweetheart," he murmured in your ear. "Gonna fill you up, okay?"
Your heart throbbed, pounding in your chest. "Please, please, do it. I'm all yours, baby."

jinchul having scar marks where AB was stabbed through and jinchul was born with them right away
those are really ugly and nasty pieces of work as if he was skewered in a really bad manner
jinchul himself has no idea where it came from and no explanation given how a child would’ve been born with scars so severe

Pairing: Sung Jinwoo x Reader
Words: 2000+
Anime/Manga: Solo Leveling
hello! i know i’ve been a bit mia when it comes to writing. i’m having a tough time trying to finish anything tbh. most likely because i have the attention span of a squirrel. but, i wrote this fic today. it’s nothing like i normally post but i’ve been into this anime character for about four days now so- whoever reads it, i hope you like it xox <3
"Why couldn't we just leave?" You ask Jinwoo while kneeling beside him. You heal up some of the wounds from the beasts you just battled, keeping your eyes on the crimson liquid trailing down his leg. "Why did you agree to come in here?"
"I need the funds," he says quietly, and your gaze meets his. "You know that."
You swallow thickly and look around the dark room, seeing the bodies of your fellow squad members. "There are better ways to make money," you sigh, and the green light you're emitting disappears.
"No one knew what we were walking into. Can you blame me for that?"
"No, of course not."
The room becomes silent as no one knows what to do next, or how to survive this nightmare. The ground begins to rumble beneath you all and you glance up to see the giant statue now standing.
"Holy-" you mutter as Jinwoo helps you off the ground.
"What do we do?" Everyone asks the black-haired boy.
A look of panic comes to his face as he looks around the large room. "I-I'm not sure," Jinwoo stutters, keeping your hand in his.
It starts walking towards us with a creepy smirk on its lips. "What, uh, wh-what's the next commandment?" You ask your best friend, remembering that the first one was about worshiping God.
He repeats what I said to himself before looking towards the other squad members. "We need to praise him," he tells them, and they look at him like he's crazy. "The second commandment said, "thou shall praise God." That's the key!"
One of the other members takes a step forward, mentioning to the group that he'll try it. You can feel yourself beginning to shake as you all watch the man praise it.
The statue walks closer and closer as the guy spews out words of praise. Your breath hitches in your throat when his concrete foot squishes the man speaking.
Jinwoo tugs you with him as the group starts to run in the opposite direction. Screams of terror echo off of the dungeon walls, and you look back to see a giant statue continuing after you, crushing a couple of more people in its way.
The other statues that have weapons in their hands start attacking as well, the numbers dwindling quickly. You start to panic internally, squeezing Jinwoo's hand. I don't want to die here… You think to yourself as the two of you come to a stop.
"Musical instrument?" You hear him mumble, watching him look around at the other statues.
"Is that the key?" You ask him while breathing heavily.
"Everyone!" Jinwoo yells, capturing the attention of others. "Get in front of a statue with a musical instrument!"
The captain stands in front of one who looks to be holding a saxophone and it begins to play. "Statues with musical instruments don't attack! Find one!" Mr. Song informs you all.
"C'mon," Jinwoo mentions before tugging you towards one of the other statues. The two of you stand in front of one that's holding a drum, both of you confused as to why it's not playing.
One of your arms is wrapped around him, clutching his jacket in your hands. "Jinwoo," you whisper and glance up at him. "I think only one person can be at it."
He releases a huff of breath and releases your hand from his grasp. "Stay here," he mumbles and you swallow the lump in your throat before nodding your head.
"Be careful. I can't heal you from over here," you inform him, grabbing a hold of his hand for a few seconds.
Jinwoo sprints towards a statue and one of the raid members scream at him. "Not that one!" Your best friend skids to a stop and tumbles to the ground.
The statue in front of him isn't holding a musical instrument, it's a shield. Tears stream down your cheeks as the concrete figure raises the shield before slamming it down.
You fall to your knees, your hands coming into contact with the rough ground beneath you. "Jinwoo!" You scream at the top of your lungs, your chest clenching.
He crawls towards the woman with wings, the giant bastard behind him getting closer and closer. When the statue begins to sing, you release a breath of relief.
As soon as it's okay to move, you find yourself sprinting toward the injured boy. "Jinwoo," you cry and instantly sink to your knees when you make it over to him. "Oh my god!"
"What?" He mumbles and brings his gaze to where you're looking. "Oh…"
His right foot is missing and you instantly try to heal him. It takes more mana than what you have to fix him. You feel yourself growing weaker and your nose starts to bleed.
"Y/N, you need to stop," he mutters, reaching his hand out to you.
Before you're able to argue with him, the ground beneath you starts to shake. You find yourself shifting closer to your best friend, grabbing a hold of his arm as the group looks towards the giant.
An altar rises from underground and your breath hitches, knowing this isn't going to end well. "The third and last commandment-" Jinwoo mutters, gaining the attention of everyone.
"Thou shall prove thy faith," you remind the group while helping Jinwoo off of the ground.
His arm drapes over your shoulders and one of the other members of the raid helps you steady him. "Well, we all know what we have to do right," Mr. Kim says while pulling out a sword. "If we have to sacrifice someone, it should be the person who brought us here."
He points the sword at Mr. Song and it doesn't take much for the older man to agree. Your eyes widen as Mr. Song walks towards the altar by himself. When he makes it to the center, a single orange flame lights up behind him.
"What?! What's going on?" Mr. Kim asks.
Mr. Song glances in your direction, "Sung, is this wrong?"
"Help me get over there," Jinwoo asks you and the man holding him. You nod your head and the three of you make your way to the altar. More flames lit up as soon as you crossed the threshold. "Everyone, come to the altar. The number of flames and the number of people are the same."
The rest of the group reluctantly walks over to you all and the flames suddenly turn blue. Five seconds later the large doors you walked through open back up.
Everyone talks amongst themselves, trying to figure out what's going on. The four statues that attacked us, in the beginning, start to move closer to the altar.
They stop for a few seconds before they continue forward. You glance at the rest of the group, noticing one woman covering her eyes. "Keep your eyes on them!" You call out to her.
She shakes her head before sprinting towards the open doors. Your jaw drops when she makes it through. The entries close a smidge afterward.
The man holding Jinwoo with you apologizes to the both of you before racing out the doors as well. Both of you fall to the ground as you're not able to support his whole weight by yourself.
Mr. Kim leaves next, leaving you, Jinwoo, and Mr. Song left at the altar. The doors have closed about halfway, leaving a bit of a crack. "What do we do?" You ask Jinwoo.
"You two need to get out of here," Mr. Song mentions, causing you to glance back at him. "You two have your whole life ahead of you. I've lived the majority of mine."
"We're not just going to leave you here," you tell him with narrowed eyes. "We'll figure this out, right??"
Jinwoo leans against the altar before making eye contact with you. "You two need to go," he states.
A gasp leaves your lips and you shake your head. "I'm not leaving you here. Do you hear me?" You remind him angrily, not wanting to think about leaving him here to die.
The statues get closer and closer. "There's no time for this. Mr. Song, please get her out of here alive," he mentions while pushing you away.
Mr. Song grabs hold of your arm, pulling you to your feet. "No!" You scream, prying your arm from his grip. "I'm not leaving."
Jinwoo squeezes his eyes shut, a few tears slipping from his waterline. "Please."
You sink to your knees, taking his face in your hands. "I'd rather die with you than live on without you," you tell him honestly, feeling your lip quiver.
"Okay," Jinwoo whispers while glancing toward Mr. Song. Your thumbs stroke his cheeks while resting your forehead against his. "I'm sorry, Y/N…"
"I-It's ok-" your eyes roll back in your head as the exhaustion hits you like a truck.
Mr. Song catches your unconscious body before it hits the ground. "Anything you want me to tell her?" He asks the young man, carefully throwing you over his shoulder.
"Just tell her that I'd be dead without her," he says with a sad smile.
The older man nods his head and walks out of the dungeon. Jinwoo keeps his eyes on you until you're out of sight. The doors slam shut and he releases a deep breath.
"And that I love her."
-
"Jinwoo!" You scream, quickly sitting up. You breathe heavily and look around the white room, noticing that you're in the hospital.
You go to rip the IV from the back of your hand when a nurse walks into the room. "Miss L/N, please don't do that," she urges while holding one of her hands out.
You lean back on the bed and release a deep sigh. "How long have I been out?" You ask her, remembering the last time you ended up in the hospital due to using too much mana.
"A couple of days. I've got someone who's been waiting for you to wake up," she says with a smile.
You furrow your brows, wondering who she's talking about. The nurse helps you out of bed, making sure the IV is still intact before the two of you leave your room.
She leads you a couple of doors down and motions for you to walk inside. When you walk into the room, your eyes widen. "Jinwoo?" You call out to him in a whisper.
The black-haired boy slowly picks his head up, his eyes meeting yours. "Y/N, you're awake," he smiles.
"Y-You're alive…" you mumble, your vision blurring. You stumble forward while bringing one of your hands to your face.
Jinwoo lifts himself off of his bed, meeting you halfway. He throws his arms around your shoulders and you rest your head on his chest.
"I'm sorry to make you worry," he whispers into your ear.
You grip his t-shirt after wrapping your arms around his waist. "H-How is it possible-"
"I'll explain everything as soon as I can get out of this hospital," he explains.
You nod your head, nuzzling your face into his chest. Tears slip down your cheeks and breathe in Jinwoo's scent. "I'm so glad you're okay," you mumble into his shirt.
He chuckles and combs his slender fingers through your hair. "I'm glad you're okay. You haven't been out like this in a long time," he reminds you, causing you to chuckle with him.
"I was just thinking that earlier," you giggle while pulling away from him, wiping the tears from your face.
Jinwoo looks down at you with a smile. "Hey, d-do you want to go out for dinner with me?" He asks you, a blush dusting his palish cheeks.
Your breath hitches in your throat, your jaw dropping a smidge. "Wait, really?" You ask him in a whisper, lightly pinching your skin.
"Yeah, I-," he cuts himself off and clears his throat, "I, uhm, I love you."
Your heart throbs in your chest, resting one of your hands over it. "I'd love to go to dinner with you," you answer him with a warm smile. A blush covers your cheeks before leaning on your toes and planting a light kiss on his cheek.
Jinwoo's eyes flutter shut, glad to know you reciprocate his feelings. "Maybe you could take a break from hunting for a bit too," he suggests as the thought of losing you crosses his mind again.
"I'll stop as long as you don't get hurt anymore. I don't like seeing you injured," you counter, resting your hands on his chest.
With this new system, it shouldn't be a problem. He thinks to himself while smiling at you. "Deal."

never forgetting about you
Tumblr media
->warnings: yandere themes, manipulation, angst, maybe this can be read without being yandere at all? Spoiler from the main story ending
-> request by anon! Hi 👋 I know I requested the same thing, but I forgot to add some details. Can you do a yandere sung jin woo where the reader is from the real world but falls in love with sung jin woo even though the reader knew that he was going to fall in love with who I forgot her name is so the reader gives him a yellow tulip flower ( which I think means love from one side ) and then the reader goes back to the real world and after some years sung jin woo brings the reader back and keeps them with him (sorry English isn't my first language :) anyway have a good day ♥︎~
->a/n: have a good day too anon! I loved writing this one since i never got a request like that before :) it was kinda of a challenge, but trust me that only made me more happier when I finished this. and I changed the flower, since i do know that yellow roses means friendship.
Tumblr media
-> maybe this was all a dream, a really realistic one, yet you don’t seem to find a way to awake from it no matter what. you are living in a apartment in south korea, that’s fine and you can handle it, you are a grown up adult inside a teenager body who knows to take care of yourself… but the huge portal in front of your ‘home’ was what caught you off the guard.
-> the design was similar and didn’t took much time to realize you are inside the world of solo leveling, as much that sound exciting and a little weird, you felt something bad coming up. Could that be since you know how the story is going to end? Probably so, but it’s a dream so why not spend your short time here to met this new place?
-> you didn’t care if it a school day or not, you dressed in comfortable clothes, got your backpack and began walking around the streets while admiring every corner. Even with you being incapable to enter the portals for oblivious reasons, seeing such new environment is enough to make you wonder if this truly a dream, not to mention the delicious desserts that you brought during you little journey til sun dawn.
-> the next day, you got scared when you realize you still inside of this new world, where your new parents discovered you ditch class to walk around. That’s don’t sound well neither the grounding you received it from them, you felt bad with how worried they look and the many tears in their eyes, making you feeling so guilty about it. Such a great way to find out you are stuck in solo leveling forever.
-> getting used to this new life and world is actually fast? studying is now easier since you were a graduate in past life, your slowly gained your parents’ again and continue to have what you consider a normal life if you don’t count the many portals and hunter you saw in daily bases, since one of your parents is an A-rank healer and the other one works for the Korean Hunters Association, in which area? You never bothered to ask.
-> they are pretty busy with their job, yet they always made time to spend with you growing up and letting you choose what path in life you wish to have. Many people were somehow disappointed when you told that you have no desire to become a hunter like your parent, much to their happiness, knowing that you are save from dangerous situations and seeing you following your dreams to reach whatever is inside your mind.
-> what they don’t know is that your dreams ( as much it sound stupid ) is to meet the many characters you adore from the story. It don’t need to be a full interaction or get to met them and friend them, just to be near them already make you feel happier. However it didn’t took much time to met some of them as you expected.
->first you met no other than the chairman of the hunter’s association, Go Gumhee, who turned out to be a closer friend of one your parents, how much you wished to learned more about your family prior of this meeting. The old man was what you expected, someone kind and somehow fun to be around, not to mention he treats you as a family member and his wife enjoy your presence.
-> and when you grown up to leave school and to get a properly job, the old man offered one at his work, but you denied and decided to enroll in the university in order to get a degree for one of the courses there. Life going normal, yet one day you manage to met another character you love, the protagonist himself, Sung Jinwoo.
-> he is already taller and more mature by appearance, meaning the incident already happen and now he is in his way to become the strongest hunter of all times, that only make you even more excited to let him and that what you do in the first opportunity.
-> with the excuse to visit one your parents at work, you manage to met with the chairman and he introduced you to the most recent S-hunter of south korea. Honestly, you don’t know how you didn’t pass out nor asked for an autograph, could that be you were to shocked to believe in your eyes?
-> that moment happen so fast and of course, you expect to never met the protagonist again nor have a great importance in his life, regardless of being thrown inside of this world, you don’t have any special skill that make you different than most people, yet something manage to bring you two together as closer friends.
-> it was weird, to befriend the main protagonist who everyone wants to be closer, but you just got enough luck to be considered someone important in his life. Jinwoo even introduced you to his sister and mother, both who adore you in their life, not to mention the many dinners you had with them.
-> stupidly you were in love with Jinwoo, well who wouldn’t fall in love with a man like him? Gorgeous, cares about his family, good personality and an amazing cook? You did and so did —-. You can’t really blame her neither the many girls who fall over his charms, however you always knew you didn’t stood a chance with the person he is going to end with, the story is already finished when you got inside this world and you fear that you might be here one day.
-> in what seemed to be another day in your life, you gave Jinwoo a yellow rose to him before he left to another dungeon. His cheek went little red, mostly due the fact that none has ever gave him a flower, his sweet smile almost melt you immediately.
-> he thanked for such gift and left after hugging you while speaking how much your existence to him meant a lot and how he wishes to never loses you. Oh. that was weird, did something bad to Jinwoo to say something like this? Maybe, but your head is spinning so much that you can’t even think about that now.
-> the moment you stepped inside your apartment, you vision where fully black and you couldn’t hear anything nor feel when your body hit the cold ground. There is something holding you back from waking up and opening your eyes, but the sound and smell did help you recognize where you are. A hospital.
-> for what you thought to be ages, you finally open your eyes to confirm your suspicions. Laying down in a hospital bed and to make things even more crazier, you are back to the real world, not inside solo leveling. Was all of that a dream? It felt so real and you live there for years, but, according to the doctors, it was probably a dream since you were only in a coma for a few days.
-> you really don’t know what to do. was that all a dream? Those moment you had with yours parents from that world were fake? Like the people you interact there such the chairman, Jinah and even Jinwoo himself are nothing but part of your mind, still you keep those memories inside your heart, regardless of being real or not, you enjoyed every second at their side.
-> Jinwoo panicked when hearing the news from your parents. You just vanished from your apartment, your classmates nor coworkers saw for a few days and now you are considered missing.
-> how could that happen? you gave him that flower to him and disappear from earth, he told many of his shadow to search for you in all place of the world and yet, no sign of you anywhere. Just like you never existent at all, like you were part of their imagination, but the memories he and many others have means that you are real, just missing.
-> he desperate wants to look after you to find answer to why you vanish and where you are now, but with so many things happening right now. The monarchs are going to attack soon and he have to be there to stop them, Jinwoo has no other option than searching for you after the whole situation get solved.
-> and that he does, when he uses the cup of reincarnation, jinwoo spend years fighting the many the monarchs and monster send to defeat him, only to him being the victorious one. when he did return and began a normal life, he start looking for a way to look after you with the help of his shadow and that ‘person’ that has connections with the rulers.
-> his shadows didn’t find a trace of you and your parents even married in this new timeline, they didn’t have children, leaving bothering the rulers to know why your existence ceased and being scared, they told Jinwoo the true.
-> honestly, he never saw that coming, hearing that you are from another world and that you are back to your world almost broken him down in instant. He loves you and you left him so easily, is there any way to bring you back? Any way to use his power to make you stay at his side?
-> the rulers saw no other option than answering him and of course told him a way to bring you back with a relic of them, of course Jinwoo didn’t hesitate to bring you back to this world using the said object. And in minutes, you are back to this world, almost.
-> you exist now in this world, but you are laying down in a hospital bed in a coma that doctors fears that you won’t wake up soon. for what he knows, someone find you in a terrible state in their way to work and brought you to the closest hospital, where you are now staying. without any information about your identity or family, a doctor from the hospital and their significant other, a businessperson. those two were your parents originally in this world.
-> everything is going back together, except for you and him, Jinwoo feels that even you are back in this world, he feels empty and lonely. He can spend his time at your side, but can’t hear your sweet voice nor you laughs when he tells a stupid joke.. was this a mistake? Bringing you back in such state? Were you happier in your original world? He hopes to learn more about your true self when you finally wake up.
-> but for now, the doctors and your legal guardians wonder who is responsible for leaving so many gorgeous flowers in your room daily.

Shine Forever - Park Jinwoo
Tumblr media
Summary: It was the time of the year. The beautiful lantern festival has arrived. And for the first time, you can go with your boyfriend, letting your wishes known to the sky. And seeing all the other lanterns lighting up the sky.
Tumblr media
In your eyes, one of the most beautiful sceneries in Asian culture was the Lantern Festival. You truly loved the atmosphere that was present whenever the festival was taking place. Not only did the lanterns look like fireflies in the distance, but also the number of lanterns and the meaning behind it, made you love this festival. Each lantern in the distance was holding a wish of someone who was participating in the festival.
It wasn’t that everyone believed in this, but they certainly hoped everything was true. And their deepest desire written on a lantern would come true. You on the contrary believed in this. You were sure, that once you had written something on the lantern and your lantern rose to the sky, your wish would come true one day or another.
The previous years you always had to go to the festival alone. None of your friends would come with you, not that you had many, but not even the ones you had would come with you. They always thought this would never work anyway.
Therefore, you came here alone every previous year. Your boyfriend Jinwoo would have joined you if he hadn’t had a tour or special stage event. You saw that he hated the fact you had to go without him because he knew how much it meant to you, but also, he loved the festival as much as you did.
This year, you were expecting him to have another special stage. But when you woke up on the day of the festival and got ready in the bathroom. You heard noises from the kitchen and wondered if it was Jinwoo. As you walked into the kitchen you saw your boyfriend smiling at you, wearing a white shirt with black chino trousers. You instantly smiled and walked over to him, hugging his side. “Are you coming with me to the lantern festival?” you asked.
Jinwoo stroked your cheek and smiled. “Yes, I have received the go from the agency. I am free today, no performance, no tour.”
“Just you and me,” you added.
Jinwoo nodded. “And the lanterns.” he looked to the table where he had placed the lanterns, car keys and breakfast.
“Ah, and not without breakfast huh?” you grinned.
“I won’t let my girlfriend leave without breakfast.” he kissed your cheek.
You couldn’t stop smiling during breakfast. This was the first time Jinwoo was able to join you. He couldn't go, not even once. It was also the first time you were not going alone. You were more than delighted about this, but Jinwoo was as well.
“I have to admit I look forward to going there. It had been so long.” Jinwoo explained. “I think the last time I went there, was during high school,” Jinwoo added.
“So ever since you joined the agency and trained to become an idol, you had no chance to go?” you wondered.
“Precisely. And I also have to admit that I envied you the previous years.” he smiled.
You stood up and sat on his lap and put your arms around his neck. “Well now, you don’t have to envy anyone because you will go.” you grinned.
Jinwoo nodded. “And I couldn’t be happier about it. Especially since I spend it with my girlfriend.” he grinned. You gave him a peck on the lips.
“Ready to go?” you asked, and he nodded. Shortly after cleaning the table, you both left for the lantern festival.
Arrived at the destination Jinwoo was amazed by the scenario in front of him. Some lanterns were already seen in the distance and looked like fireflies and stars in the night sky. There were mountains in the distance and the sky was perfectly dark. But also, he was amazed by how many people participated in the festival. When he went the last time, there were a lot fewer people. “Is it always this crowded?” Jinwoo wondered and took your hand, while he held the lanterns in the other hand.
“Yes, there are always this many people participating, but you still have enough space to prepare your lantern and be private about your wishes,” you explained.
Jinwoo looked around. “Do you think someone might recognise me?” he worried.
“They probably will. But let me tell you something. None of the people that recognise you, will disturb you today. They won’t ask for photos or paragraphs because today it’s about their deepest desires.” you explained.
“What if I am their deepest desire?” he asked, but you saw he was joking because a hint of a smile was seen in the corner of his mouth. You playfully hit him, and he laughed.
As you arrived on the field, you looked for an empty spot and found it fast. Jinwoo handed you the lantern and you took it and sat a little away from him. Jinwoo smiled at you and sat down right where he was.
“I see, I shall not see your wish as well.” Jinwoo looked at you.
“I just think it wouldn’t be convenient for you to see my wish,” you explained.
“Love, don’t worry. I feel the same.” he smiled and thought about a wish while you were already writing. When he looked at you, he knew what he could write down on the lantern.
Hiding the wish from the other person you made sure that the lantern would fly high, and you stood next to each other, grinning with the lanterns in hand.
Slowly, it was time for the lantern to fly and you slowly let it out of your hand. You both hugged each other while you saw the lantern fly higher and float through the air, joining all the other lights. Jinwoo kissed your forehead and looked back up at your lanterns. Just as the lanterns were about to leave sight, you both received a glimpse of your wishes, only to realise you wished for the very same thing. Your lantern said, “Let him be my forever.” while Jinwoo’s Lantern said, “Let her be my forever.” You both had to grin once you saw it.

As soft touches gently pressed to his shoulder, Jin-Woo opened his eyes. He eyes didn’t even fully adjust to the sunlight as he placed his hand on your head, pausing his movements.
“Sarang, what is it?”
Your eyes twinkled as you nuzzled your head further into his hand.
“You have to go to Jin-Ah’s school today at 11, remember? I was waiting for you to wake up but you looked like you were gonna sleep in so I thought I would wake you.”
Jin-Woo spared a careful glance at the clock that flashed a bright 10:14 at him before jolting up.
“Crap! I forgot it was today. Thank you, love.”
You barely got a kiss to the forehead as Jin-Woo sped past you to the bathroom, that left you blushing by the door. Thankfully, you recovered quickly and figured you would head to the kitchen to get a head start on breakfast.
Although by the time Jin-Woo would be attending Jin-Ah’s school, lunch would be more suitable. After much deliberation you settled on something faster to eat but still filling. You heard the shower start as you turned on the stove and by the time you had finished packing the food, Jin-Woo rushed out in his usual black attire and smothered your face in kisses before he shadow transferred.
You quietly stared at the spot Jin-Woo once stood .
“… You forgot your lunch.”
—————
Jin-Woo sighed in relief when he looked at clock and realized he was early. He made his way to Jin-Ah’s teacher’s office and took a seat, happy his heartbeat was able to rest since he had first woken up. He was a bit regretful though as he could have spared a few more moments with you instead of missing you but as much as he could stop time he couldn’t slow it.
He looked at his watch and calculated the time depending on what the meeting was about he could be out in 1-
“Sung Jin-Woo!”
His heart elevated at both the sound of you voice and use of his name. He quickly got up from the chair in an attempt to make him seem more aware of what he may have done.
“Yes, Sarang?”
He noted that your beautiful eyes held a playful undertone in them as you approached him.
“Don’t ‘sarang’ me. I spent time and effort on your lunch this morning and you didn’t even acknowledge it so from now on don’t you even think about leaving with on your own. I won’t provide for you if you do so.”
Although he knew you were joking he wasn’t completely oblivious to the incredulous looks some teachers and parents were giving him.
But before he could even get a word in to clear up the situation, you spoke up once again.
“This isn’t the end of this. Just wait til you come back home, I’ll deal with you then.”
And with that you spun on your heel and left, leaving Jin-Woo completely exposed to the side eyes and whispering of the adults around him.
—————
You were innocently giggling to yourself at the new skit a comedy channel had brought on as Jin-Woo walked through the door. Before you could get up and drown him in affection he spoke:
“Sarang, can we talk?”
You gave him a nod, a bit confused.
“Of course.”
Jin-Woo took a seat next to you as you turned off the tv. He then outstretched his arms towards you.
“Can you come here?”
Again you nodded and made your way onto his lap, your back against his chest. Before you could ask anything his hands slipped under your shirt, one wrapping itself around your waist, bringing you closer, and the trailing high enough to make you blush.
“You know I never want to discredit anything you do for me right, Y/n-ah?”
You hesitantly nodded, stuttering in your movements a bit as Jin-Woo’s hands started to fondle.
“And you know I never want you to feel under appreciated right?”
You couldn’t even respond in any way as you feel soft nibbles on your earlobe and the higher hand start pinching.
“But it seems like I failed to do that this time around so…”
Now you were pressed onto the couch, completely sure your face was hotter than the surface of the sun and a near predatory Jin-Woo on top of you.
“Let me make it up to you.”

Jinwoo’s parents thought they had hit the jackpot when Jinwoo was born. He was a silent baby. He cried only for a moment when he was born into the world. And he slept through the nights mostly. He would never cry when he was hungry or needed something. He would squirm around instead. So his parents had to listen for little movements to wake up. But that did not last long. After three months, infant Jinwoo started sleeping through the nights without waking up.
He was an easy baby and his parents were so grateful, and a little braggy, about how perfect and easy Jinwoo was.
That all changed the first day they took Jinwoo to the park. At two and a half years old. The playground was filled with other kids. That’s when the voices in his head started. Jinwoo put his hands over his ears and started screaming. Of course everyone freaked out. The voices in Jinwoo’s head got worse. His parents immediately took him to hospital.
After a full examination, the doctors found nothing wrong. But every time he was able to, Jinwoo would cover his ears. The voices in the hospital were worse. He didn’t understand most of them, but he cried and cried the pain in his head was too much.
A middle aged male doctor asked if he could try something. He left and returned with headphones and a small music player. He put the headphones on his head and turned the music on.
The voice were still there but they were almost drowned out by the music. Jinwoo stopped crying and calmed down. He focused on the music and relaxed a little.
“How? What?’ His mother asked.
“My child has the same issue,” the doctor explains, “I still don’t know what it is, or how to stop whatever it is. But I found that having headphones on with music is the best remedy. Put plain noise canceling headphones won’t work. They need to be with music. Preferably instrumental music.”
His parent’s stare in wonder then look back to Jinwoo who is sleeping on the large patient bed. Exhausted from all the voices and stress.
“How long will this last?” Jinwoo’s father inquired.
“I wish I knew. But I’ll keep you guys updated if you would like if I ever figure anything out,” the doctor offered them a business card then parted ways.
A solution was never found. The doctor died when Jinwoo was fifteen and even then there was nothing, but more remedies that could help with Jinwoo’s unknown condition. Jinwoo did them all, meditation, yoga, listening to music, quiet getaways, everything. Nothing ever solved his issue.
Despite his parents having a medical note from that doctor his headphones were constantly confiscated in school. Most of the time Jinwoo would pull out earbuds and hide them under his clothes and hair. But the confiscation got worse after the doctor died. But by then Jinwoo could handle the voices somewhat. There were days when it was bad, and other days when it wasn’t. Sometimes Jinwoo would even try to see how long he could go without his headphones. He made it up to three days before it got too much and it began to affect his sleep and school work.
Jinwoo actually hadn’t realized until he was in his fourth year of school that the voices in his head were everyone else’s thoughts. He never vocalized it to his parents, though, They were stressed enough the condition never went away and tried to take him to new doctors all the time. Until Jinwoo said it was getting better. Of course he was lying but every once in a while he would tell them he had bad days and needed his headphones around his parents and home. His parents worry lessened. All the talk about being an easy kid was out the door years ago.
However, on top of having everyone else’s thoughts in his head a new thing happened. It happened on the first day of school. The overwhelming sensation of sadness and abandonment. It was suffocating. Nobody wanted to leave their parents. At first Jinwoo thought it was just him. Because he too did not want his mom to abandon him wherever he was. But as the days and weeks went by Jinwoo would have all different mixed signals of emotions. He knew very well what he was feeling but everything else felt so suffocating. Of course he told his parents this feeling. They immediately called the doctor who had helped with his head. He too was baffled and thought maybe it’s just a new environment. So in a way, he was gaslit into thinking that was all in his head- how ironic.
Once Jinwoo figured out the suffocation of feelings came from those around him, he tried his best to tame the feelings. But they would just change from sad to happy, or from angry to calm. But the level of how much pressure it felt on him never dwindled. So he withdrew himself from everyone. He kept away. Kept his head down and did his work.
Convincing his parents every year to move him to online schooling was pointless. He tried every excuse in the book other than the voices in his head because he knew if he solely used that excuse he would just be dragged to doctor appointments. So Jinwoo continued on with in person schooling and even managed to finish school a year early. He wanted out.
Until he was truly an adult and could actually live on his own, Jinwoo worked and saved money to leave his house. He didn’t hate his parents but they can become so overbearing. Still constantly questioning about his head. That, and their thoughts were more overwhelming and annoying than most. He wanted out.
He took the first out he could. Moved away from his parents, and took up a new job at a local coffee shop within walking distance from his home.
He had dazzled his manager during the interview so well that he was able to work solely on making drinks and got to listen to his music. Of course he showed his new manager how well he was at making caffeinated drinks- a special talent of Jinwoo’s. Some of the drinks were so good that they were added onto the menu.
That’s the life Jinwoo decided for himself. Just for the time being too. He was still trying to decide what exactly he wanted to do with his life, if he needed more education, or if there is an adventure he needed to take.
But on one fateful day, everything got flipped around and a new door opened. Gotta hit rock bottom in order to go up.
“Jinwoo I need you on register today, take those earbuds out,” someone calls. Jinwoo turns to find a coworker he did not like.
“I don’t work register, you know that,” Jinwoo tells him as he finishes up on three different drink orders.
“Well Junyoung is out today, and that means I’m in charge,” his coworker smugly tells him, “and I’m telling you to work register.” Jinwoo side eyes his coworker. He takes a moment to think about what he wants to counter with. But then Jinwoo remembers that he’s up for a manager promotion- currently competing with said coworker- how he was listed as being in charge today, no clue.
“Fine,” Jinwoo tells him. He approaches the register and takes out his earbuds. He takes a deep breath. The voices in his head quickly get louder and louder.
“How may I help you?” Jinwoo forces a smile and begins taking a rather large order. He reads back the order, the customer slightly upset because a couple of the drinks were completely wrong. Jinwoo fixes them and has the customer pay. It was much harder for him to take orders because of everyone else trying to decide what they want.
Well of course every order becomes more and more mixed up and customers get angry, some snapping at him. The stress quickly builds up and he’s trying his best not to cry.
After another customer he looks down and discreetly wipes the tears from the corners of his eyes.
Jinwoo looks up once more, ready, and that’s when his eyes strike theirs. Everything in his head goes silent. Utter silence. Jinwoo’s mouth opens. The person softly smiles at them.
He stares at them for a moment, but snaps out of it. It’s pure enchantment.
“Ho-how can I help you?” Jinwoo asks.
“Just an iced latte,” they smile. Jinwoo taps away at the computer in front of him and rings up the total. The mysterious enchantment pays and walks away.
But even as they walk away- silence. No noise. Jinwoo watches them. Then turns back to the next person. He apologizes and takes their order. The rest of his shift before his break smooths over. No mistakes. No yelling. No angry people.
Jinwoo clocks out and he looks around the shop and spots them in a corner. A book on the table as well as a notebook- they write away in the notebook, doodling a little as well.
Jinwoo approaches them and sits in the empty chair in front of them.
“How did you do that?” He asks. The person’s head pops up. Once again, Jinwoo freezes as they make eye contact.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” they slyly smile.
“The noises in my head. The voices. The overwhelming sense of what others are feeling,” Jinwoo starts giving hand motions, “gone the moment I looked at you.”
“I’m flattered,” they smile, “I’m Poaegi.” Did they think Jinwoo was flirting with them? Because he very much wasn’t.
“I don’t want to sound rude,” Jinwoo awkwardly laughs, “but I’m not flirting or trying to get your number.”
Poaegi giggles, “oh I know. I’m just teasing Lee Jinwoo.”
“How did yo-”
“If you want to know how I did it and learn how to do it yourself,” Poaegi starts as they begin to pack up their things, “on your next day off come to the Ethereal Trove library.”
Poaegi stands up and quickly bids farewell to Jinwoo before leaving. Jinwoo watches them leave, never leaving the chair. But even as they left it still remained silent in his head. He couldn’t feel the emotions of those around him. Is this what being normal feels like?
Jinwoo manages to complete the rest of his shift. The noises never came back. The emotions never become overbearing. He clocks out and bids farewell to his coworkers.
The moment he steps outside the noise begins. Everyone’s thoughts fill his mind and the overbearing sensation of emotions fill him up. Jinwoo quickly pulls out his headphones and places them on, cranking the music all the way up. The faster he could get home the faster he could be in silence.
As Jinwoo was walking, someone happened to bump into him. His headphones pop off his head and the guy continues walking without apologizing. Jinwoo huffs. He picks up his head phones and puts them on just to find out they’ve broken. Jinwoo yells out in frustration. Then it happens again.
The silence.
Jinwoo looks around, hoping to find Poaegi. Instead he notices he’s standing in front of the very library Poaegi told him to meet them at. He hadn’t realized he walked by the library every time he came to and from work. Poaegi told him to come on his next day off. But could he wait that long? Was Poaegi even here?
Jinwoo risks it anyway. He walks up the grand steps and to the door. He pulls the handle and the door opens a crack. He slips inside, the door slowly closing behind him.
“I figured you wouldn’t be able to wait,” Poaegi’s voice calls out, almost teasingly. Poaegi then appears out from a bookshelf, carrying a large stack of books. They set them down next to several even large stacks of books before approaching Jinwoo.
“I-i just can’t do it anymore,” Jinwoo stumbles over his words once again. What has gotten into him. But he knew he freezes every time they made eye contact. He didn’t understand what was so enchanting about them.
“Follow me,” Poaegi motions before walking away. Poaegi leads Jinwoo through the mess of the library.
“Apologies that everything is a mess. Currently under reconstruction,” Poaegi laughs awkwardly, “normally I would take you to the large reading room but it’s a maze to walk through with all the books on the floor. So instead we will head into my office.”
Poaegi opens a large grand door and inside is an office that looks like it was pulled straight from a fantasy novel. Jinwoo looks all around admiring every last little detail- in his head he almost compared it to Belle’s library from Beauty and the Beast.
“Here it is,” Poaegi calls out. They pull a rather large book off the shelf closer to the desk in the back of the room. Poaegi approaches Jinwoo, who stands in the center where a small reading table and chairs sit perfectly- almost untouched.
“Sit, sit, sit,” Poaegi motions. Jinwoo plops down onto the chair and a cloud of dust pops up into his face. Quite literally untouched- the chair was stiff as if nobody ever sat in it.
“Read pages 4 to 29,” Poaegi opens the book for him, “it will explain everything. If you have any more questions afterwards. Don’t be afraid to ask. I have a couple things I need to finish working on, so I will be at my desk.” Poaegi walks away. Jinwoo cautiously looks at the book Poaegi left on the small circular table. He picks it up and sets it in his lap.
The edges of the pages are slightly torn and the paper is yellowing. How old is this book? Despite the condition, Jinwoo does as he is told. He reads.
Mind Ethereal.
What? Jinwoo looks up at Poaegi who is busy writing away in their journal. He looks back down and continues to read.
The Mind Ethereal was created by the universe on the idea that no one should ever have to be alone. After all, all Ethereals were created to help those who could not help themselves. The Mind Ethereal is the most unique Ethereal with its abilities as well as their Troval r\Relic.
Abilities: telepathy, echolocation, emotion reading, slight precognition
Troval Relic: an enchanted eye binder
The abilities of the Mind Ethereal are at limits without the Troval Relic. It has been found that only with the Troval Relic can the precognition work, but even then there are limitations. It has been found and studied that the precognition drains the life of the Mind Ethereal. However long they use that ability it gets taken off the life of the user. What can be seen through precognition seems to be random and not purposefully sought out.
Jinwoo continues to read about the Mind Ethereal, fascinated with what information the book was giving him. Half way through is when he realizes it- he is the Mind Ethereal.
Emotion reading has been the most overwhelming ability of the Mind Ethereal. It feels like suffocation without being suffocated. Emotions radiate off people like heat and it feels like a pressure over the body.
Jinwoo holds his breath. This was it wasn’t it? This was him. All of this reading. He continues.
Telepathy is the hardest ability to control. You simply cannot turn it off, but the noise can be drowned out. The sensation of hearing everyone’s thoughts at once is the same as a migraine. If one can endure the constant sound of hearing everyone’s thoughts for a long period of time they have the ability to withstand any noise. It is rumored that they also can turn off the outside world sound to their head- but it has never been done.
Jinwoo finishes reading and closes the book. He starts at the cover of the book. He notices his name engraved into the cover, under another name. Only two names are engraved in the book.
“What did you think?” Poaegi asks. His head shoots up and looks over at Poaegi whose chin rests on their intertwined hands, smiling over at Jinwoo.
“It makes sense,” is all Jinwoo could say. Poaegi is slightly shocked by his response.
“You’re not going to question the validity of anything you just read?” Poaegi inquires, their eyebrows raised. Jinwoo shakes his head.
“Maybe you will when I tell you more,” Poaegi leans back in their chair, “you only read the specifics of the Mind Ethereal, recorded by the previous Mind Ethereal before you. But what isn’t stated in this book is the backstory of the overall Ethereals. Why we were created.”
“But I read that it’s to help those who cannot help themselves,” Jinwoo answers remembering the line in the beginning of the book.
“Yes,” Poaegi nods, “while that is true. There is another reason. At least this time around. There is something monstrous out there. Waking up from a deep slumber… and it’s going to hunt down all the Ethereals.”
“So you want to stop it?” Jinwoo asks. Poaegi nods.
“But I need all the Ethereals with me to do so. I can’t keep everyone safe if they are not with me,” Poaegi explains.
“What is this monster?” Jinwoo asks.
“I don’t know,” Poaegi sighs, “my parents didn’t tell me much before they died. So I’m left in the dark. It’s what I’ve been trying to figure out for years as well as finding all of you.”
The two sit in silence for a moment.
“Will you help me, Lee Jinwoo?” Poaegi asks, voice just above a whisper as if they are afraid.
Jinwoo stands and walks over to the desk.
“I don’t know why,” Jinwoo starts, “but I think I’d follow you to the end of the world. So yes. I’ll help you.”
