The ending to Jill of the Jungle: Jill Saves The Prince always cracks me up. First the prince proposes with a giant rock. And then Jill just goes, “Okay.”
[Two screenshots from the Jill Saves The Prince epilogue. The first shows the prince kneeling next to a giant rock with text that says “The prince asks: ‘Jill, will you marry me?’” The second shows Jill and the prince standing next to each other in a heart-shaped frame with text below that says “Jill answers: ‘Okay.’ So, the jungle is once again restored to harmony. And Jill and the prince live happily ever after...”]

Swampness and frog – in search of adventures
Tumblr media
Pixel art for today based on Jill of the jungle – jill goes underground for system MS DOS. And I played this game my times. In a different moments of life. Game has several episodes. And there is full version with all episodes. And speaking about retro it can be played today. It is very interesting game.
And this is my drawing about the same theme. It is a picture style of Jill of the jungle. About swamp style. It is also a game about walk and jump style. But here you go forward. In original game levels are more tricky. And I make it simple. Jump forward and level done. Jump over holes. And as a weapon you have a throwing knife and big sword. And healing with yourself.
It is a adventures of swampness. From swamp. Searcher of adventures. And keeper of swamp lands and forest. This time adventures leads her to the plains. With her, there is a friend – frog. Big intelligence frog and helper.

Pairing: Peter Avalon/Jill Perry Quote: A pirate’s life is a wonderful life, a-roving o’er the sea. Verse: Medieval
Tumblr media
Seeing the quintet enter the inn he had taken residence in for the night brought the wrong sort of memories to Peter Avalon’s mind. It reminded Peter of the kingdom he had once served, of the war that had ravaged the kingdom, and of the princess that he had failed by escaping into the night. Once, long ago, Peter Avalon had been the librarian for a good kingdom. He served as a royal tutor as well, teaching the prince and princess to understand treaties and deeper documents, teaching the twins the house crests and mottos of the major rivals and allies to the throne the prince would one day take. It had been the prince who had noticed the black and red flags bearing the raven the day the kingdom had fallen into chaos. In the rapid blink of an eye, the good king had been struck down by a fearsome warrior and the prince and princess had been forced to flee into the inky blackness of night. Peter had sworn to stay by them in the dark jungle, but his cowardice had gotten the better of him and he had fled while the twins slept. He had assumed he had doomed them to death. Instead, he had introduced them to a monster, it seemed. The large and imposing figure had to have been part giant, there was no other explanation for his size. Or, judging by the helm he wore that resembled a black dragon, perhaps he was one of the cursed beasts of legend. His long black hair hung in a mass of braids, no shirt on his torso decorated with tattoos and scars. Next to him, seemingly bouncing and barely visible over the heads of the seated crowd, was a young man whose mass of dark curls almost rivaled the blonde mass the prince had always sported. He was dressed plainly, which contradicted the older woman who he pushed from her seated position. Her purple dress was flecked with gold, matching her blonde hair. Eyes of a cerulean blue scanned the inn for a place for the group to sit. And then there were the twins. There was no mistaking the two blondes as the missing prince and princess. If it wasn’t for the ice blue eyes that radiated their father’s sense of honor and justice, it would have been the aforementioned mass of blonde curls that each sported. Peter remembered trying to tame that mass, remembered his beloved Leva trying to tame the princesses' hair. He muttered a prayer, thanking whatever god would listen for sparing their lives from his cowardice while simultaneously asking that they wouldn’t recognize him in the crowd. Not that much had changed about himself either. Though he once bore the regal bearings befitting a royal tutor, his dress these days was less regal. They were tattered, torn, save for the royal red cloak he wore around his slim shoulders. His long brown hair was pulled out of his face, the color matching that of the thick mustache and beard adorning his face. Most would use the word sleaze to describe his looks, which were befitting his new role in life as a member of a traveling group of rouges. His own band was there with him in the inn that night. Their largest member, a monster of a man named Cesar, was a former soldier who had been saved from the gallows by Peter. He had since sword a life debt, promising to protect. There was James Drake, a rotund former palace cook who loved a laugh almost as much as he loved a fight. And finally, there was Ryan Nemeth. Ryan was a loudmouth, a braggart who did everything he could to get everyone’s eyes on him. He loved the attention, especially from those who he deemed as beautiful as he was. And, to his chagrin, Ryan had set his eye on the former princess who now sat in the inn with them. “A pirate’s life is a wonderful life, a-rovin’ o’er the sea,” Ryan tried to impress as he leaned against the table the group who had just entered the inn sat at. One of his hands played with the girl's curls, a smile on his lips, “Pretty thing like you would make a wonderful shipmate! Names Ryan Nemeth. And you are?” “She’s not interested,” Peter tried to urge his friend, hand gripping the other man’s arm. “Let’s go, my fr-“ “Peter?” the young girl's voice sounded, reaching soft hands up to remove the hood of the red cloak. When he pulled back, the girl frowned, “Lord Avalon I…I know it’s you. The cloak…I…” Peter sighed, lowering his hood on his own to turn to the girl, “Jillian Perry. It is good to-“ The young prince, Jack, was the first to react to Peter revealing his face. He placed the tip of the spear he carried at Peter’s neck, a snarl leaving his throat. “Jackie…leave him alone…” Jill begged, putting a hand on her brother’s shoulder. Peter gave a wry smirk, “You heard your sister. Remove your weapon or…” Cesar moved to lift Jack, but the former prince’s new large friend wrenched Cesar’s arm behind his back, “You will not hurt my children, boy.” “Do you two forget yourselves?! We need their help!” Jill huffed with a stomp of her foot.“You come to find me specifically then? I am honored J-“ The look that Jill shot Peter could freeze the strongest man’s blood, “I don’t do it for you. I need to find Leva. You’re just the only one who knows where she is.”

In the 1960s, there was one actor who could justifiably claim that ladies prefer blonds. As the secret agent Illya Kuryakin in the TV series The Man from UNCLE, David McCallum, who has died aged 90, received more fan mail from young women than any other actor in MGM’s history.
With his Beatles-style haircut, his liking for black turtleneck sweaters (which created a fad among viewers nationwide), and an aloof and enigmatic air, through which he sneaked a fair amount of charm and self-amusement, McCallum made Kuryakin into a sex symbol of the period. He provided a trendy contrast to Robert Vaughn’s Napoleon Solo, his fellow spy, who went in for expensive suits and ties.
Although Solo and Kuryakin worked perfectly in tandem, their personalities were at variance, the former being urbane, easygoing and sociable, the latter more reserved, intellectual and intense.
The James Bond film craze had already taken off when The Man from UNCLE series was launched in 1964, so US audiences were used to laidback heroes and their villainous nemeses. However, it was surprising to find a hip Russian alongside the good guys of United Network Command for Law and Enforcement fighting against the evil organisation THRUSH (an acronym for Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity), during the cold war.
McCallum, who played Illya with the slightest Russian accent and an occasional Scottish lilt, was also known recently for his long-running role from 2003 in the popular CBS crime series NCIS.
He was born in Glasgow. His parents were classical musicians; his mother, Dorothy Dorman, a cellist, his father, David McCallum, a violinist and leader of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. McCallum Jr won a scholarship to University College school in Hampstead, north London, before being accepted at Rada, where he studied from 1949 to 1951, having given up his ambition, and his parents’ wish, to play the oboe professionally.
In 1951, McCallum managed to satisfy his love for both music and the theatre by landing the position of assistant stage manager at Glyndebourne opera. However, he was called up to do his national service in West Africa. Demobbed as a lieutenant, the 19-year-old McCallum headed for the theatre, which mainly meant stage-management jobs in rep.In 1956, he half-heartedly posted off some photographs of himself to the Rank Organisation, which was scouting for young talent. The photos were seen by Clive Donner, who was casting his first feature, The Secret Place (1957), and he invited McCallum to do a reading.
“Although he was nervous, his voice was firm, and he was very good,” Donner recalled. “I sat and looked at him for a long time. He was very skinny, with a marvellous head and huge eyes. I think he was living in a bedsit in Archway at that time and had little money. We put him under contract straight away.”
Obviously under the influence of James Dean, the leather-jacketed McCallum, playing a young punk involved in a heist, does his best to express teenage angst. In Cy Endfield’s gritty thriller Hell Drivers (1957), McCallum plays Stanley Baker’s brother, on crutches as a result of a crime. In the cast, as a waitress, was 20-year-old Jill Ireland. McCallum and Ireland were to marry a few months before the film’s release. Soon after, they played young lovers in Robbery Under Arms (1957), an adventure shot mostly in Australia. At that time, the couple were often pictured together in fan magazines.
It was back to British realism with Basil Dearden’s Violent Playground (1958), in which McCallum plays a juvenile delinquent gang-leader. Despite a mite too posh an accent, he makes a vivid impression with his drawn features and mop of fair hair.
There followed several more conventional supporting roles, such as radio operators, first on the Titanic in A Night to Remember (1958), and a jumpy one in an Elstree-studio Burmese jungle in the second world war drama The Long and the Short and the Tall (1961). He was even more nervy in John Huston’s Freud (1962) as one of the first of the psychoanalyst’s patients, a young man who assaulted his father because of an incestuous love for his mother.
After appearing as a sympathetic officer in Peter Ustinov’s Billy Budd (1962), McCallum went to Germany to make John Sturges’s The Great Escape (1963), the most expensive PoW picture of them all. Among a starry cast, headed by Steve McQueen, James Garner and Charles Bronson, McCallum held his own among the Brits as Eric Ashley-Pitt – “Dispersal – who devises a way of getting rid of dirt from the digging of an escape tunnel. But more significant for him was the fact that Ireland, who was with him during the shoot, fell for Bronson. Ireland and McCallum divorced; he later married Katherine Carpenter, while Ireland married Bronson.
McCallum, who was already making his principal career on television, was given the secondary role of Kuryakin in The Man from UNCLE, but was soon granted equal billing with Vaughn after it rapidly became clear that he had a huge fanbase. Alma Cogan recorded a song called Love Ya, Illya, which became a pirate-radio hit in Britain in 1966, and as late as 1991, an Argentinian funk duo named themselves Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, after McCallum’s character and the Colombian football player Carlos Valderrama.
The first feature-film spin-off from the TV series, To Trap a Spy (1965), in which McCallum had a minor role, did little business. But the second one, The Spy With My Face, co-starring McCallum, really lifted off, followed by the box-office hits One of Our Spies Is Missing, One Spy Too Many and The Spy in the Green Hat (all 1966), and How to Steal the World (1968).
After The Man from UNCLE finished in 1968, McCallum continued to make guest appearances on TV until his second long-running series, the BBC’s Colditz (1972-74), in which he played Flt Lt Simon Carter, a hot-headed RAF officer who is impatient to escape.
Subsequently, McCallum appeared and disappeared as a scientist in The Invisible Man (1975-76), a US TV production, and co-starred with Joanna Lumley in ATV’s spooky sci-fi series Sapphire and Steel (1979-82) as the eponymous extra-dimensional detectives sent to Earth to monitor threats to the time-stream.
McCallum was seldom off television screens over the next three decades, making the occasional sortie into films. He also did some theatre in New York, where he and his wife had settled, notably Julius Caesar in a Central Park production (2000), playing the title role as “a senile old man, suffering from ideas of grandeur” according to the actor; and portraying the Emperor Joseph II on Broadway in Peter Hall’s revival of Amadeus (1999-2000).
In 2003, his looks belying his age, McCallum began playing Dr Donald “Ducky” Mallard, chief medical examiner, in the TV series NCIS, following the cases of the fictional agents of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. His research for the part included studying pathology and sitting in on autopsies. He stayed with the show for the rest of his life, appearing in all 20 seasons up until this year. In one episode, a character asks another what Ducky looked like when he was younger. “Illya Kuryakin” comes the reply.
McCallum is survived by Katherine, their son, Peter, and daughter, Sophie, and by his sons Val and Paul from his first marriage; Jason, his third son with Ireland, died in 1989.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind Prohibited Wish AU
Okay, so AU idea. NVW is a really great movie, and it has a lot of bugs yeah? So I was thinking that maybe I'd add a sentient bug species that is meant to replace humanity as the top species when the last of humanity eventually died out. And this bug species (haven't decided on a name yet) would be the leaders of the forest. We see the Ohm as the top bug species, being literally the top protector in the forest, but what if this custom species ruled the Ohm? So Scrabby would be a top dog in the forest, and I was thinking maybe making him a king of kings? More like a sovereign instead of a king to the species. Oh, I've got so many ideas and so much lore made up already.
So what about our boy Prismo? I was thinking he'd be a very closely trusted friend of the Vally of de Wind royal family cuz King Jill and Prismo's parents were super close so he and Nausicaä would have grown up together and basically become siblings. So Prismo, instead of everybody's pal, would be the accidental prince who showed up and now is treated as part of the royal family because he just won't leave. And he'd be part of the whole plot n stuff, plus Scrabby, and then I'd add onto the story because honestly, not enough NVW for me in the actual movie. I've got so many ideas piling up already, and I've already got the first chapter written. Lemme know if y'all want anything more on this or not. Also, imma give you the intro to the fic to get y'all an idea of what I've got going.
(i swear my style changes with every single fic)
In the hushed embrace of a silent world, a quilt of pouring white clouds enveloped the realm. The sun, in the early throes of ascent, merely grazed the horizon, gently rousing the land with the tender hues of its awakening glow. Across the expansive canvas of seas and skies, a symphony of reds and pinks danced, creating a kaleidoscope of beauty visible only to the twilight’s lingering witnesses.
This ethereal light, a delicate brushstroke against the canvas of night, did not penetrate the profound darkness that cradled the healing heart of the jungle. It traced the contours of the ancient, poisoned lands, coaxing forth a resurgence of life that echoed across the epochs. From the depths of the rejuvenated soil, spores unfurled, awakening colossal sentinels of insects from their slumber.
These magnificent creatures, bathed in the azure luminescence emanating from the forest’s pulsating core, existed with a singular purpose—to safeguard the toxic sanctuary of the jungle. Amidst these colossal beings, christened as monsters by the despoilers of the planet, roamed the true sovereign, the last defender of the recovery of the world.
