I’ve never heard JK say that he isn’t close with his family. When has he said this?
Hey, Anon,
I casually said JK is 'not that close' to his family in my post about Bam and i asume it's the reason for this ask?
It's fair question but tbh I don't really want to get into an analysis of JK's family relationships because
a) not my business
b) we really don't know anything
c) both b and c above
It also wasn't hugely significant to my post about Bam, it's just my opinion based on a few things he's said. So I'm not going to go searching for proof one way or the other. I'm not sidestepping the question though, so off the top of my head these are some of the reasons i came to that conclusion:
Most recently, he's talked about himself as a mixture of the members of BTS, saying his personality is a combination of all 6 hyungs and he hears them in his head and sees their influence in his daily life (Suchwita interview).
He also said in a Weverse interview from 2023 that he doesn't call his parents to say he's home safe when he's been out drinking but he does it to ARMY and it feels natural to do so - and i remember thinking it was quite a statement to make.
In the welive he did just after that festa dinner he told us he had been out with his parents and had an argument with his mother. He said something along the lines of his mum was nagging him and he told her he didn't need her input. Then he felt kinda bad about it, said he was a bad (but awesome) son, and dedicated a song to her.
And I am sure he loves his family as much as anyone else, but he also left home at 13 and hasn't had a lot of time with them. He had such a tight schedule for so many years it's unlikely he had more than a few visits with them a year. Even when he did have the opportunity to go home he didn't always do so. One example we know of is in 2017 when Chuseok was a longer holiday than usual and all the members had the chance to spend a bit of time with their family... Jimin and JK chose to stay in Seoul together rather than go home.
It seems natural and logical to me that he may not be emotionally close to them because of all those factors. But even without those factors, its not unusual for many independent adults to be closer with peers than with parents.
As i said it's not a judgement against his family life at all, and it's simply my opinion and not one i am overly invested in at this point. If he does have a super tight bond with his fam, that's cool too and all power to him 🐰💪💜

I don't usually post about military stuff, but I think this is relevant....
An active duty soldier currently serving in the 5th Division has written a post in Naver 👇 about his KCTC training (to help other future active soldiers)
As you will see below (in the translations) the actual training is very hard... and that's why he confirms the physical training starts 2-3 months before the actual training.
So not only did Jungkook confirmed in March that he was cooking there, but he also confirmed that he was training a lot.
So I guess his knee was better 🙏🤲and that it was always his plan to go to KCTC (btw with Jimin) +
The soldier's experiences of cold nights or lack of water is heartbreaking and makes you worry about the hardships our boys went through. .... They must have had to use all their physical and mental strength, because the latter is very important.
But at the same time I hope, as this soldier says, that Jimin and Jungkook will feel good afterwards, satisfied and proud of what they have overcome (and have plenty of holidays to rest).

Hello Shaz
I see that there has been sufficient discussion over JIKOOK's decision to apply for the Accompanying Enlisted system. However, how do you feel about their parents? When they obviously have better options, how can they persuade their parents to allow them to apply to a risky area? Surely they agreed, that's why.... and, imo, it implies that Jimin/Jungkook is truly viewed by both families as their son's life partner.
We dk much about JK's parents and how they feel about their rlship. But we know Jimin's dad and JK's mom support their rlship 1300%

Fun ask: Do you like unconfirmed but possible JiKook thoughts? So JK did GCF-T and used the song There For You - "But you gotta be there for me too" ending line. For 2019 summer, JM on vacation with friends, returned for JKs b'day, etc. JM made a travel vlog for that trip, using the song Come Thru - "Can you come thru?" ending line. (It always stood out to me as an odd choice for a travel vlog.) Soon after, JK began getting the tattoos that included the infamous "J M". Was that JKs answer to JMs question? Ooohhh you’ve asked THE question. Where do I stand with unconfirmed but possible Jikook thoughts or how I’d probably see it ‘Jikooker Theories’ & ‘Jikooker Delulu’ (said lovingly)?
TL;DR - I’m the worst with this. Honestly my jikooker friends get so frustrated when they delulu and then they’re like…Em?? How about you?? And I’m like…
The main reason I’m so enraptured by Jikook and everything around their bond is because I really don’t need to be into unconfirmed but possible thoughts.

You don’t need to squint to spot their unique duo in the midst of anything or anyone else. I don’t even need to put my glasses on to look at them and see that they’re different.
That’s what I like so much about them, they radiate in their actions and words how they feel about each other and how close and unique their bond is, whatever it is it’s closer than close and it’s the two of theirs.
Don’t get me wrong I find it fun delving into Jikook theories. I’m blown away by the intelligent minds that can spot certain connections and patterns. I’m only human too, so I’m a nosy cow. I eat it all up, their off schedule sightings and 1:23 theories etc. I studied psychology and am a lover of love, so of course I’m interested in getting as much information to draw conclusions and all that jazz.

But to me even if all the theories and unconfirmed thoughts of others are stripped away, Jikook give me enough to not need any of that.
It’s a funny balance, taking in others unconfirmed Jikook thoughts. Reading what people say, people thousand of miles away from Jikook, from different upbringings, backgrounds, careers, cultures, ages, genders. People who’ve never met Jikook on a personal level or been apart of Jikook’s inner most circle and not letting it become fact to you, taking their thoughts and opinions as gospel.
Jungkook is me sometimes when trying to get into Jikooker number theories 😩
I love all types of jikooker accounts, art ones, writer ones, historian ones, spicy ones, super investigative ones etc. I’m still figuring out myself how deep into unconfirmed jikooker thoughts I’D share.
I’d love the asks to help me discover what I would be able to answer. **SO ASK AWAY💜** and let’s see how that goes. It’d all be my opinion and my opinion only though.
If it’s not something plainly my opinion, I prefer to stand by everything being backed up by evidence from Jikook and those closest to them, like the members. If it isn’t a verified interview, from original content that can be referenced, from their vlives/weverse lives, sns etc I’m not too keen 😬
VS
Very easily, unconfirmed thoughts can become fact in subsections of fandoms like shipping fandoms, solo fandoms etc. So I like to make sure I can find the first source from when/where/who it started from.
So in conclusion,
I love the fun of it all, the unconfirmed Jikook thoughts, the theories, the sleuthing and delulu.
I do try with my #Tin Foil Hat: Jikook (I’ll tag it so you can take a look if interested) but it’d maybe take asks that make me go for it in more depth?
But ultimately if it’s not from Jikook’s words, their overt and also their not so subtle displays and actions OR if it’s not from those confirmed as closest to them…then to me it’s nothing more than light entertainment that starts and ends there. Nothing that will shape how I view Jikook.

Jikook Week 20 Complete ✔️(23/04 - 30/04/2024)
Their twentieth week in the military is now complete and time to celebrate this milestone with a look back at this week in 2022.
BTS returned to Seoul from Las Vegas the previous week (18/04/2022). On the same day, Jimin posted photos from their concerts including this jikook snap on Instagram.
On the 21/04 we were treated to a little reminder of their time in LV with the release of their Butter stage from the 64th Grammy ceremony. This stage was rated as No. 14 in the Rolling Stone 30 Greatest Grammy Performances article published in February 2023.

Now they were back home, group activities had finished for the time being and, although we didn't know it at the time, the members thoughts turned to their solo projects. Jimin started working with Pdogg, Ghostloop and Evan to lay down the tracks that would later become Face.
But Face was not his first solo project to be released. On 24/04 With You the first ever track to be included on Jimin's Spotify listing was dropped with very little fanfare . It was a beautiful duet recorded with his close friend Ha Sung Woon and formed part of the OST of the tv series Our Blues. Billboard later included it in the list of 25 best k-pop songs of 2022. It was an auspicious start to his solo career.

Finally this week BTS began promoting the release of their Sowoozoo package which was recorded during this on-line Muster streaming event held on 13-14/06/2021.
