Chemistry
Human beings are inherently social creatures, craving connection and companionship for a fulfilling existence. Sometimes we meet someone with whom we feel deeply connected, whose presence attracts us and generates comfort, emotion and joy. We feel there’s “chemistry”.
For "chemistry" to exist there must be attraction. Not necessarily a physical attraction, but rather an emotional one. You want to spend more time with that person because they make you feel good.
Chemistry doesnt mean two people must be romantically involved... but the lack of it would mean the absence of any possible romance.
True chemistry between individuals isn't one-sided either; it requires mutual attraction and resonance. It's not merely about one person being drawn to another; rather, it's a dynamic interplay between both parties
There are a number of elements that can give us clues as to whether or not this chemistry exists. These manifestations or elements are visible in the way people interact and occur unconsciously or semi-consciously (i.e.: they are not the product of a voluntary manipulation by either of the parties involved).
These are 10 behaviours that can serve as clues to the existence of attraction and chemistry between two people.
1. Gaze focused on each other
An important sign of interest and connection is the way two people look at each other. When there's chemistry, people tend to look at each other for longer periods of time, showing more attention than when interacting with others. This is particularly noticeable in group settings, where the intensity of eye contact and the length of time people look at each other can reveal an underlying attraction.
2. Pupil dilation
Attraction causes our pupils to unconsciously dilate so that as much light as possible enters the eye, so that we can observe the other person in more detail.
3. Seeking Each Other Out
A telltale sign of chemistry between two individuals is their inclination to seek each other out. Even on a subconscious level, they feel compelled to connect or come across the other person.
4. Smile
Another sign is the fact that two people who are mutually attracted will tend to smile at each other constantly in a natural way, as a reflection of the sensations of comfort that the presence of the other person brings. Moreover, heightened interest often leads to an elevated sense of humour, resulting in easy laughter at positive or amusing remarks.
5. Shared interests

6. Extended conversations

7. Physical proximity
Another indicator of attraction or chemistry is the physical distance between two people. Typically, individuals drawn to each other will naturally gravitate closer, reducing the space between them. In many cases, they may even enter each other's personal space without causing discomfort. Spontaneous physical contact, such as gentle touches or brushing of arms, faces, fingers, or hands, may also occur.
8. Body orientation
The orientation of feet and body language can also signal attraction between individuals. Unconsciously, we tend to point one or both feet towards the person we're interested in and our bodies often align so that both are facing each other, with shoulders and torsos mirroring each other's position.
9. Imitation

10. Trust, empathy and willingness towards the other person
It is common that in front of a person with whom we have chemistry we tend unconsciously to be able to trust them more than the rest. In the same way, when there is mutual interest and chemistry it is easier to feel understood by the other person as well as being relatively easier to put ourselves in their shoes and imagine what might be going on in their mind. We are also more thoughtful and generous and devote more time and effort to spending time and/or performing acts that please or help the person we are interested in..

Chemistry overdose
What the toxics call discomfort in jikook, I call it..
"CHEMISTRY OVERDOSE"
Sometimes the chemistry between them is so overflowing that the reaction of both or one of them is unexpected, or even a bit harsh.
That's why, when one gets too bold, the other one backs off (to take control), or simply stands still smiling (as if nothing has happened)
Sometimes they behave a bit clumsy too
(btw these were the holy trinity of the "uncomfortable" vlives)
Sometimes they are shy... they can't help it
But if after so many years of watching them interact and their reactions, the conclusion is that this is discomfort - rather than an excess of chemistry between them ….

Jikook made it possible to spend as much times as possible together during the second half of 2023!
July
August
October (while they were working, cause that month was full of things)
November and December...
and probably including September in Chuseok.
Yes, I think Jimin and Jungkook probably also spent Chuseok together, like other years.

Jungkook came back from Global Citizen Festival NY 2023 earlier that week (9/25) and he was radio silence until he did the stationheads one week after (10/1-3) and didnt connect to wlive at his home til 10/5.
If there's not travel show in Busan, maybe the whale drawing happened back then in Jeju or Connecticut??? We'll see sooner or later
But even if we see it happened on those days … I will keep thinking they spent Chuseok together (cause 👉👈 only means one thing in BTS). Together and UNBOTHERED, despite a certain video being leaked that same weekend, and despite the crazy schedule Jungkookie had the weeks before, flying to US up to 3 times in a month
They might have not accepted the travel show, given their tight schedules and the expectation that they'd be together for a long time afterwards, enlisting as buddies.
But they sought time to enjoy each other, traveling together and having fun... maybe because these were the memories they wanted to treasure before fullfiling their duty 💜💛

Evolution of their narrative
I admit it. I also get confused as to what kind of couple Tae& Koo is supposed to be to their shippers.
When I first joined the fandom they were the “hidden couple”, and jikook was “fan service”, cause is what the masses demanded from BH/Bang PD.
It didn't take me long to realise that the "masses" in this fandom are actually the taek00kers (humaluvre is bigger than the majority of the most famous JK's focus accs) … So I've never really understood who the masses-asking-massively-for-"jikook"-content were 🤷♀️
Then, I read them that the big proof that taek00k was real was, precisely, that they couldn’t do all the things that jikook could do so well (you know, travel together only the two of them, stare at each other in rapt attention, sucking ears and necks, treat each other as a married couple, support each other to the fullest, holding hands whenever they have the opportunity…). The reason of them not doing all of these things was South Korea, since it is an homophobic country.
That’s why the company edited the content and didn't let them interact. It was all cuts and so on. Everything they did was private, and that's why there was no evidence, other than some witnesses of people with telescopic sight and facial recognition (maybe they were androids?)
I had more or less understood the narrative, until the LOVEGRAM era started, and that's when it all blew over!
Their insta accounts were no longer professional accounts (like twitter or weverse), but personal… and from then on, their selfies were some short of engagement pics or couple confirmation and their funny comments about boxing hooks were actually whipped messages of love.
Btw it seems South Korea was no longer homophobic at that time.
INSTAGRAM WAS THE LAW
When JK closed his Instagram account (forced by the company 😌) we were already in chapter 2. The lovegram didn't matter anymore…because Jungkook hanging out sometimes with Tae and wooga became the confirmation of what Instagram -in reality- failed to confirm. Never mind that their hanging out concentrated during some months when they both had more free time or that they actually just did what good friends do: having fun at the movies, bowling or skiing together with other friends… but hey, those tiny details don't matter in the great love story that is told.
And from there we move on to the part where the CHAOS really started, when the COMPANION SYSTEM news dropped
And guess what? Korea became homophobic again
Some said that they were forced to part ways (the company, the government, themselves because they wouldn't last a second without f?….). Gays dont enlist together they said.
Another line of argument was that Jimin had asked JK to enlist with him… I guess because he was going to be terrible at the military. LOL
But we all can sense that the most extended opinion was "I can't understand this plot twist for shit".
(Maybe the problem is they never understood their favs but that’s for another post)
And in the midst of CHAOS it was no longer possible to think of a new narrative...that's why the strategy became "attack". If they can't prove that their favourites are a couple, they'll go and debunk the rest.
At this point they don’t seem to care if ta3k00k is real or not… they simply choose not to surrender and ignore some facts. If they freaking ignored Jennie during a year, they will do the same with jikook being glued for 18 months.
So in the next months, we'll probably see part of fandom (solos and tkkers) attacking jikookers, and another part trying to ignore us. I fear the chaos will continue… pretty sure some toxic ones will watch the travel show just to diss jikook..
But we shouldn’t care too much because as we have seen, Jimin and Jungkook will never stop taking their decisions and behaving with authenticity
The boys have chosen their own path this year, not to please the majority of their fandom (jikookers are not the mass), but because they wanted to.
At the end of the day, they care about their fans, but we don’t own their lifes and they have shown us. And I applaud 👏 them
And yes, maybe their country and the careers they have chosen dont allow them to be fully free…. but they dont prevent them to stay one next to the other. They know how to choose the battles worth fighting for.
Don't you think it's beautiful and says a lot about the quality of love and respect that Jimin and Jungkook have for each other?

BODY LANGUAGE SPEAKS
Not gonna lie.. this is one of my (thousands) favourite jikook moments
Besides the fact that Jungkook looks like he's going to eat Jimin, the body language speaks for itself
Sometimes it surprises me to see how many subtle yet glaringly obvious moments we have of them being something more special than ordinary friends.
And it is very touching.
And I think IT IS, among other things, because we are not 100 certain of anything about them, but we are moved to see that months and years go by, and the stability they show in their affection, support and need for being close to each other hardly changes.
I don't think I have talked about the buddy program. I didn't need it cause my posts spoke for themselves about the happiness I experienced when I knew they were leaving together.
I don't think I ever really thought about it or wished for it. I dismissed that possibility as "too obvious". But if I put it together with some "not so obvious" things that happened during 2023, maybe now I can better understand certain things that did happen last year.
I keep trying to be the best fan in the world, keep some respect for each of them individually - something some still forget 😶 - but enjoying all the moments they have given us away together.
And I try not to categorise their relationship in socmed…although there are times when I fail, like today…because I look at these pictures and I say to myself "what the fuck? they look like they are coming back from their seventh honeymoon!!! Jesus!"
And that's exactly how it is… Jimin and Jungkook sometimes look like they just came back from their honeymoon.
(I don't know if it will be like that when we see them in Sapporo… I don't want to think too much about what they would have done there, in that hotel with baths, and surrounded by snow… I already know what I would do…😏)
God bless them! I hope they are doing fine and know that thousands of us miss them very much and are still rooting for them.
