Me: I need to make a half-arsed replica of Aziraphale's pinky ring using crap I have lying around + spray paint

(Nvm just spent 1h painting tiny feathers using like a single hair brush, this is barely half-arsed anymore why am I like this)

The materials are

A tiny bit of braided lace I found

Some picture wire

Two flourishy border bits cut from a cheap-and-cheerful plastic prism thingy, probably scrapbooking supplies, no idea why I had it

A shield/triangle cut from an expired passport

SO much super glue, spray paint, random black paint I had

Northumbría's Anglican Kings were wealthy, powerful and well-connected. This unique ring. with its large central sapphire, was probably made in france, within territory controlled by Merovingian royalty. It was possibly given to a local ruler as a diplomatic gift.

Socks! Socks! Socks, socks, socks... (*sing to the tune of LMFAO's Shots*)

As you can see I ran out of yarn *just* at the finish line (because I'm an idiot and just assumed they wouldn't sell sock yarn for less than two socks, but it was a 50g ball and i simply can't read), but decided not to go out and buy more of the grey yarn since it's a) pretty awful quality, b) a weirdly unpleasant shade and c) I didn't want to spend any more money on this pattern. They turned out very nicely from a craft standpoint, I think! I *could* undo the left sock's toe cap and knit that in blue so they match, but I don't think I'm going to. I'm pretty happy with the job I did here, but I don't love how weirdly low the heel sits and how tiny the toe cap is in this pattern - my weird little toes are definitely going to wear holes into the sides of this sock very quickly. Also I personally think the deep stitch chain should run along the middle instead of the bit of garter stitch, because this way the middle stretches weirdly across the foot and makes them look a little weird from above (my feet swell up sometimes and I'm kinda self-conscious about that kind of thing, this probably wouldn't bother most people lol)

anyway, Mum, I get it now, knitting socks is VERY satisfying.

I do not, sorry. 😅 I don't do much crafting with most of my toons(I'm trying to make Ziin the exception, but I don't play her as much rn).

I do, however, have several followers/mutuals who also play LOTRO, so maybe one of them can chip in with an answer?

Some simple jewelry

I have to start this post by admitting that I never owned a lot of jewelry, it just wasn’t a priority given the income I had. I guess that’s why when I started planning the Fall-Winter collections and sketching some accessories, I thought it would be a good idea to have jewelry for these clothes in real life, not only on paper.

Therefore, I went to the craft supply store and found some items to make accessories. The necklaces are simple and colorful, but have the benefit of not being too blingy, meaning I can wear them with all kinds of casual outfits.

The bracelets, on the other hand, were inspired by Pandora bracelets, to which you are supposed to add charms and trinkets that represent your personality and major events in your life. It’s a fun idea; and, from Pandora’s point of view, it’s absolutely brilliant because it could become a long-term relationship with the Pandora brand, as your life will continue to evolve. However, I have made similar ones for a very small fraction of the price. Originally, I intended to make just one bracelet, but it broke at the clasp because the pendants were too heavy (it’s useful to know that). That’s why I have redistributed the weight the trinkets on two bracelets, and I have resolved the problem. Either way, at such a low cost, I can change my mind about the trinkets as often as I want, or even stop wearing them, and never feel any regrets.

Overall, I feel like I have made a good saving!

how i made them under the cut in case you want to as well!

you'll need a hot glue gun, clear tape, safety pins, clear nail polish, and an image you want to turn into a pin, a printer is definitely handy for more customized pins but magazine, book, manga, etc. cutouts can also work!

tape the tape onto a surface you can remove it from, i used a plastic jewelry box

use the glue gun and make a circle large enough to cover the pin entirely, i didn't make mine big enough so i ended up with the sides of the pin visible

grab a safety pin, open it, and stick it on the hot glue circle before it cools, i recommend to put it a little higher than the middle to lessen the floppiness of the pin when finished

when the glue cools, remove the tape from the surface and turn it upside down, and put the cut out image on the pin, the tape is tacky enough to stick the image in!

cut the excess tape off, i'd recommend using kitchen scissors to cut off excess hot glue that's visible but be careful bc you dont want to cut yourself

put clear nail polish over top of the image and the sides too to seal the picture in and protect it from the elements

also extra tip, when you put the pin on and it's still floppy, stick a pin vertically on the back fabric making sure to go under the horizonal pin bar
