GHOSTBUSTERS: GET REAL #1-4, ANNUAL 2015
2015
By Erik Burnham, Tom Bancroft, Dan Schoening, Luis Antonio Delgado, Neil Uyetake, Erica Henderson, Evan Shaner, Joe Quinones, Chirs Uminga, Tom B. Long, Shawn Lee, Otis Frampton, Sara Richard, Sean Galloway, Drew Rausch, Matthew Dow Smith, Anthony Marques, Alex Deligiannis, Erik Evensen, Jeremiah Skipper, Ester Salguero, and Juanchoo

When the "Real Ghostbusters" get transported to the "real" Ghostbusters' Earth, the two teams will start investigating how to put things back to normal, and stop the God known as Proteus from capturing them.
Tumblr media
SCORE: 9
This one was an amazing read. Once more I am amazed on the versatility of Dan Schoening. They man can draw in any style!
But apart from the visuals, the story contains easter eggs beyond just the "real ghostbusters".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, to be fair. on that double splash page I had to read the wiki to figure out where some of those came from. But I was really surprised to see the Filmation Ghostbusters in the mix.
The story is simple enough, and fun. Now, I included the 2015 annual because, for some reason it tends to get bundled with this mini-series a lot. While it deals with the aftermath of "Get Real," it is not a continuation of the story.
The annual is a horror story (kind of), and it also introduced Samhain to the canon of the book.
Oh, and James Hong technically appears as the ghost from "Little trouble in Little China."

Love and Deepspace AU Oneshot
OC x Jeremiah
[written from Kiro's perspective]
for @dolorousvale
A small moment in a possible universe where Kiro consoles a distraught Jeremiah when "his flower" had begun its inevitable migration.
A flower only blooms once- its beauty also limited.
I've slowly come around to appreciate the philosophical approach towards botany after working with Jeremiah for some time now.
He always brought up the mood no matter how dark the topic would become. Especially when I butt heads with a certain hunter.
Each customer was treated like family. Especially that one girl who visits every fortnight.
Her heterochromia was hard to miss and she always had this air of mystery to her that just makes you want to get to know her more.
"My Flower" just sticks in your memory as the nickname Jeremiah gave her. A lot easier than Dolasach.
She would bring out the brightest smile I've seen on Jeremiah's face and I would be left tending to the shop while they talked. If I didn't know better, there definitely was something there.
..and then it just stopped.
Jeremiah nowadays had this pensive expression on his face. i was expecting a look annoyance- at the very least indifference. I didn't want to pry further but it looked like he was conflicted.
"...what's wrong?" I began.
Jeremiah ignores me and goes to rummage something from the back and comes out with a handful of lowers. The petals had started to droop from being in the bag but he quickly places them in the water of our viewing pool.
We never carried flowers with such a bright shade of pink that I couldn't help but watch them in the water. Jeremiah kept his hand under them and bobs them up and down the surface.
I approach him gently from behind, unsure if I can be of help.
"Kiro...what would you do if Xavier finds her majesty?"
I was taken aback- that person was someone I'm not ready to confront.
"Would you...go up against someone with royal blood?"
If it weren't for the fact of his kindness, I would have already reacted very differently.
"I'd win naturally. But, this isnt about me isn't it?"
Jeremiah laughs nervously, not letting down his guard.
"And yet I feel so powerless. I'm but a wandering comet against such a force of nature as the sea."
In a rare bout of sadness, I see my friend start to cry.
I gently pull his hands out of the water and sit beside him. Whatever happened between him and his flower is beyond me but I can't look past such a raw display of emotion. The flowers slowly float away from us as if it had a mind of its own.
"These flowers...from Uluru...are so beautiful. They never bloom in the same shade each year and are my favorite" Jeremiah began.
I gripped onto his hands tighter as I waited for him to continue.
" They grow in bundles on lakes in higher elevations. On a clear night, they dance around the reflection of the stars as if they were tying to reach for them"
"...and yet always migrate downstream towards the sea."

Note
Maybe it’s a difference in opinion but I feel two months is a very short bounce back from your first relationship. Especially when you’re bouncing back in a stage of grieving and onto his brother. As for Jelly fans maybe you’re on the wrong corner of this web! The majority I’ve seen out there esp on TikTok and tumblr are jelly skippers and I’ve seen jelly edits with like close to a million likes. So there’s definitely people out there that share your opinion. I think they both think they love each other, but if the show follows the books they will both realise that they don’t know or love each other in anymore than a platonic way. Which I feel is what’s being foreshadowed already. But it’s interesting to hear different opinions. Especially when they’re respectful as you are.
I agree I think we definitely view and understand the characters differently and that’s okay.
Two months though while not a lot is also a lot. A lot can happen. And I agree it does seem a little fast but Jeremiah already knew he loved Belly and Belly I feel had been thinking more about him recently and she realized it was him for her. But I do see how it seems very just forced. And Conrad technically wasn’t Belly’s first relationship but he was her first love

Erastus Day House or “The Captain’s House”
16807 Hilliard Rd.
Lakewood, OH
A historic Lakewood, Ohio, home located on Hilliard Ave. was built in 1874 and is known as “The Captain’s House.” It is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Lakewood Landmark. It was once the home of Captain Erastus Day, a Captain on the Great Lakes, who purchased it in 1871.  Captain Erastus Day was born in Ogdensburg, NY, in 1834 and came to Lakewood with his wife Sarah in about 1869. They had four children, residing in this home. Captain Day was first a cook, and then skipper and commander of Great Lakes vessels in the mid-1800s and retired from active business life on shipboard in the 1860s. In 1872, he was appointed superintendent of the New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio ore docks in Cleveland. In 1892, he left Cleveland to construct the fine system of docks at Conneaut Harbor Eventually he became famous for inventing hoisting and conveying systems used in the shipment of ore. He died in 1917 at the age of 83 and is buried in Scott Union Cemetery, Huron, Erie County, Ohio.
Although historically known as the Erastus Day House. it was first owned by Jeremiah Gleason, who came to Lakewood with his wife Catherine in 1831, bringing their own cattle and settling near Hilliard and Madison. Gleason bought the future Day property in 1852 and built the original dwelling there soon afterward. The home was inherited by Gleason’s daughter, Ann Eliza Warren, who then sold it to Captain Erastus Day in 1871. In the late 1870s, Captain Day made such substantial changes that he may have constituted a completely new structure around the initial building. His handiwork on land the size of three city lots at the southeast corner of Hilliard and Atkins became what today may be the most elaborate Victorian farmhouse with Italianate and carpenter gothic detail in Lakewood.
In 1974, Lakewood Historical Society designated this as one of the city’s Century Homes and five years later it was placed with the National Register of Historic Places on May 8, 1979. The Murphy family purchased the home in 1987 and started an extensive renovation, including conversion of its second-floor ballroom into a two-room suite. Cliff Murphy, a musician, singer and entertainer took a night course in carpentry to improve his skills as a handyman. He said he tried to rebuild/renovate/restore it in the way Captain Day would have wanted it rebuilt.  The updated interior of this historic Lakewood home, painted throughout in Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore, today features white oak herringbone floors, original hardwood doors with porcelain doorknobs, 10-foot ceilings and tall windows which create light-filled spaces and welcoming double front doors.  There is a trap door in the entrance hall on the first floor with nearly vertical steep stairs that lead to the basement (which could indicate that the home may have been a part of the underground railroad that came from Oberlin to Cleveland and then through to Canada to help runaway slaves. The Fox family are current owners of this home.

I honestly thought “hold on, who elected you?” when Superman named himself as Earth’s representative. I didn’t think it would become a big deal, which I really should have considering I’ve been reading Bendis comics for as long as I’ve been reading comics and this is exactly the kind of “if Sorkin wrote comics” thing he would love. But anyway, it’s not like Earth is a democracy, right? What was he supposed to do?

Curiosidades:
